Cameron was nervousing bad, with an audibly growly stomach, and gave a very lengthy anti-Cory pitch to Jag with his lectury tone and many mixed metaphors. He said "I have a lot of concerns and here is my evidence, I feel things, right now I get Izzy vibes from the kid" (Cory). He also said America was being sketchy towards him (and he didn't even see America and Jag doing a happy celebration dance about the draw). Meanwhile Cirie and Felicia visited Bowie in HOH and laid out the status of the house, which they'd figured out last night. They agreed the three of them were all underdogs and everyone else had big targets ahead of them, and Bowie said "it might be a good time to make a move to break up some things." They also agreed that booting Cameron would solve a lot of problems without really upsetting anyone, whereas booting Cory would upset a few. Felicia said "you're gonna make a big move this week" and Bowie responded "oh God, vomit, vomit, vomit," her anti-HOHitis still on display.Jag stayed mostly silent as Cameron ranted at him, but he didn't stop talking when he visited Bowie. He told her about Cameron's various alliances including the Cameron/Jag/Matt trio and that Cameron had said they'd let Bowie think she was part of that, but she wasn't really. And he said Cameron had something with everyone still there except Felicia. Matt told Cirie that Jag wasn't actually with Cameron, but both he and Matt just pretend to play along with him. Apparently Matt reminded Bowie that Cameron had previously begged to stay just until jury for the extra stipend, which would be the only Reason she'd need to put him up, but this group over-complicates everything so there's no reason to think they'd stop doing that now (unfortunately for some of us, who are beyond fatigued with the ongoing yappy mess). Cory was also nervousing, and asked around if Bowie was targeting him, and told Matt he was "over it." Matt told him he was a little freaked out because Jag wasn't hanging out/checking in with him. Periodic study sessions carried on, with most of them expecting OTEV today. Feeds were down from 1.40pm to just before 6pm and it was indeed a Zingbot/OTEV crossover. Jag won. It sounded like Bowie finished second, and Felicia later said she saw Bowie intentionally throw it. Matt was third, Felicia fourth (good job ma'am!), America fifth, and Cirie last/first out. She was very disappointed in her performance. They were very wet and messy but all said it had been fun, and the others said it was fun to watch. Apparently Zingbot was broken and being nice at some point like in a previous season, but they said that part of it was confusing. I don't know if the person in the robot suit was even there, or just the robotic OTEV character. It was hard to tell who'd actually won when feeds came back, but America gave a silent cheer to both Jag and Matt from the shower, indicating the outcome was good for the anti-Cameron contingent. There were a lot of conversation snippets about having to babysit Cameron since he'd be relentless with both Jag and Bowie until the veto meeting. Meanwhile he camped out in HOH and rattled on to Bowie some, then stayed there alone after she left, glaring at the spyscreen. Jag and Bowie checked the shower, the toilet, and the door to the kitchen before doing a pantry-style celebration dance in the bathroom. Jag said "me, you and Matt at the end" and Bowie said Cameron was camped out in her room and she'd told him she hadn't decided who the renom would be yet, but she had decided Cameron was going up, adding "he's going." They also mentioned Cameron had said some things just before the comp that sunk him, about trying to pit Bowie, Jag, Matt against each other. Faces of many alums were seen in the comp, including a lot who aren't referred to as often as the big names, and there were voice-to-text screens for Matt. Some said it was even funnier being able to read the zings along with hearing them, particularly when the bot called some or all of them "dumb fucks" at one point. OTEV the Zinging Robot's zings per retells were: -America: you're under arrest for robbing the cradle -Blue: kitty kitty purr, the only thing worse than your catchphrases is your fashion sense -Bowie: the difference between Bowie and a great white shark? one's an Australian creature with big scary teeth, the other's a shark -Cameron: military promotion from Lieutenant Loser to Major Fucking Tool -Cirie: all your friends are gone and you're all alone, doing what you do best, losing on an island -Cory: to the tune of "America the Beautiful" including short as grain, bad at kissing, bad mustache, America must have gotten a lobotomy -Felicia: what brought bigger wrinkles to the game, multiverse twist or Felicia -Jag: you're like a sports car but not a Jaguar, more a Borevette, Aston Moron, Lameboreghini -Matt: same intellect as the cardboard cutout he liked so much -and a bonus Mecole, which threw them: instead of MeMe it was MeNap then MeSleep then a week-long MeComa - oh, she was so under the radar I didn't realize she got evicted They could easily tell Cameron that he'd begged to just get to jury for the additional stipend and be done with it but no, they're going to keep it complicated because that's how they roll this season. Jag told Matt they should tell Blue, America, Cory, Bowie about their Fugitives alliance with Cameron, and deny having gone along with it. (They already told Bowie about that trio, but not the name, or their individual Gunslinger/Outlaw/Bounty Hunter names within it.) Cory rehashed the season for Bowie and explained a lot of things she was unaware of, and Cameron retooled his social skills and hung out with America, Cirie, Felicia for a bit, including sucking up to Cirie about Survivor. He seemed shocked to learn Jeff Probst himself had sent Cirie a flag used on the show. She said "oh yeah, Jeff fucks with me heavy." I don't even watch Survivor but even I knew that. The usual don't tell this or that detail to this or that hamster convos carried on, and the telling of details did as well, as usual. Matt told Cirie and Felicia that Cameron would be relentless in the coming hours and days. Cirie said she hadn't said anything about him so she wasn't worried, but she and Felicia did major synchronized shockfaces when Matt said Cameron had told him Cirie called Matt "a fuckin snake." Cirie said she was shocked and a little hurt and a little angry about that. Bowie joined and told them she was committed to putting up Cameron: "the job will be done, no matter what anyone says" and she said they all need to "get ready for the freaking onslaught of whatever" from Cameron. Cirie said if Jag wanted to pull down Felicia to give her a break from the block and from packing, she'd be fine with that. Felicia appreciated that and thanked her with a smooches. Cirie made a point of saying she wanted to make that offer in front of everyone. Jag and Matt had already decided to use it on Cirie, but despite Zingbot's little joke and Cirie's poor comp performance(s), don't forget she's a social skills legend for a reason. Felicia entertained the comics room and us with a hilarious retell of her Exorcist veto comp disaster. Jag had been assigned to keep Cameron busy and distracted with pop culture conversations and he did that well, with a lengthy celebrity ranking game in HOH along with Blue who was enthusiastic, plus Matt who wasn't. The yard opened around 12.15am and when Cirie and Felicia heard "the yard is open" holler, Cirie said "of course it is, OF COURSE IT IS!!" She added "I'm so sick of this shit," highly annoyed because it was so late, again. The two of them busted up laughing at her outburst, and so did I. Cory and America went to their hammock to discuss and define their relationship some more. (Earlier he joked about proposing to her at finale.) Felicia found out Cameron thought early on that she's Denzel Washington's sister, and she was understandably astonished by that. SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box! Day 68 - Sunday - October 8, 2023This day kicked in like all the others, with nonstop mad scrambling from wakeup, so I'll try to capture the highlights. Jag and Matt met with Bowie to make more elaborate plans leading up to Cameron going on the block tomorrow, largely wondering what to tell Blue since they thought she was working with/tight with Cameron. Again, it could/should be simple: he's too good at comps to keep, he begged to make jury and now he has, but no, this cast is going to continue complicating things for no reason, even into the jury phase. Let's see how that works out for them. Cameron had a grilling/lecturing session to America, repeating how he still wanted to work with her but not Cory and etc etc. She wasn't receptive and he said "so we're drawing the line right now?" She said yes, but he kept going and she finally said "don't be condescending." He said he wasn't, but he continued being condescending and worse, to the point of saying "you're stupid America" regarding her saying she "always" comes back to say he'd been right about something after she thought about it.Both Cory and America had new looks today. He ditched the hat, the hoodie, and the robe for a colorful shirt and she wore a bright orange outfit Felicia said she hadn't seen before. Maybe they coordinated that as a plan, or maybe it was just laundry day. America joined HOH to retell Cameron's latest rant and they continued wondering what to tell Blue, when Blue joined, like she does. Meanwhile Cirie took the opportunity to socialize and chit-chat with Cameron, because she's a good social player like that. Cameron later ranted at Cory, saying "let's cut the shit" and saying he wasn't coming for America, when America joined. A bit later Bowie told America she'd keep it simple and just say Cameron's a strong competitor, and she added Cameron didn't know yet the veto would be used (or that he'd be the renom), but they'd let him know later today it would be used "and he'll start freaking the fuck out." And Matt told Cory the same. Cameron went on another rant to (former) fellow fugitives Jag and Matt that was mostly anti-Cory and anti-America, and anti-pretty much everyone except himself. Both Jag and Matt just let him ramble on and on, and on. Three hours later, Jag/Matt/Bowie were again wondering what to tell Blue. Jag said Cameron had said he had to use his veto, and he figured it would be himself or Blue as renom, so he was pushing Blue for that. Bowie and Matt told Jag about Cirie's offer to stay on the block and he said he'd talk to her about that. Blue joined and bashed Cameron like the rest of them, and they told her whichever parts they'd agreed to tell her. They may have let her know he was actually going up? I'm not sure, but she was definitely receptive to the idea if that were to happen. Bowie told Jag and Matt she'd been saving her wine so the three of them could share it alone, and she said they'd have to use mouthwash after they do that so nobody else would know. That sounded like it was scheduled for sometime after the veto meeting. Bowie was excited about the blindside, saying "this is gonna be GOOD! This is fun! Until it goes wrong.. but it's fun at the moment." At least she considered the possibility of derailment - the rest of them rarely do. An annoyed Felicia told Cirie she was worried about all the meetings and wondered if they were being played but Cirie told her it was probably okay, and Matt came along to verify that it was okay. Jag plus Matt met with Cirie and Felicia, and it was quickly settled that he'll pull Felicia down. Jag gave them both hugs, and he and Felicia both thanked Cirie for the offer and for making it easy for Jag. Cory had a quick check-in with Bowie, and then Cameron settled in for another session with her. He ranted and lectured his loops, with Bowie continuing to say she didn't know what she'd do, and she wanted the least blood on her hands as possible. When the possibility of him being one of the few potential names for a renom came up, he reminded her he'd "kept her safe for two months" and she responded that she'd never been in danger. Zing! Later Matt told Bowie about his Invincibility power and how it worked. America promised her vote to Cirie if (when) she'd be up against Cameron, adding "I'm not swaying at all.. nothing can change where this is heading." She sounded adamant about it too, but she's been known to promise people votes and then voted against them anyway. Bowie/Jag/Matt met again and said again they needed to name their alliance, that Sinking Ship just wasn't a good option. And again, they said they'd discuss it later. Blue gave Cirie "the full rundown" of everything today, with an anti-Cameron focus, saying that only Jag, Matt, Bowie knew all of it. I think Cirie also knew all of it, but she's a patient listener. The next hammock chat was Cameron and Jag, with Cameron pressing Jag for a decision. Jag said he hadn't decided yet, and Cameron said that made him "very nervous" and he added "Bowie believes you're gonna use it." To Cameron's credit, at one point he asked nicely for Jag to not use it, but he mostly ran his same tired loops and said if it's used it would force Bowie to make a decision, and she'd decide to do "what the house wants" which would be him. Ding ding ding! He also added some new items to his repertoire including "by putting me up, what does it solve" (duh), and "I am a fucking warrior weapon" (I don't know if that's an upgrade or downgrade from hired gun), and the weirdest one yet "I caught a new life when I came back as a zombie" (I know for a fact that's not how zombies work). Jag said virtually nothing in response to any of that, but then reported to Bowie and Cirie, telling Bowie she'd kind of dropped Jag in it by implying veto would be used. She apologized for that but added "you should walk around with that veto hanging around your neck." Ha! Jag then reported to Felicia. They got a booze delivery and Cameron scooped it all up but don't panic, he was only carrying it out to the kitchen. They also got the selfie camera a bit later, since booze tends to give them content they can put on the show (without referencing the booze part). They all cheered "TO JURY!" and some went to work out while others sat outside talking and laughing. A little later they got an extra bottle of wine, so they'll either droop and go to bed early or they'll rev it up to high gear. Bowie, Jag, Matt stashed their drinks in HOH to have when they share Bowie's HOH wine. Blue joined them for that, but I'm not sure if she knew about the HOH wine part, or was just planning to drink later after they worked out. Cameron was apparently shorted half a beer in the divvying up so America and Felicia decided some booze had been hidden and they hunted through the fridges and various rooms but didn't find it. Cory said Jag and Matt were known thieves, referencing Mecole's steak from weeks ago. Matt came as he was, but Jag and Blue dressed up for the secret wine party, and a nice cheese board was served in HOH along with Bowie's bottle of wine. Those four had a great time but elsewhere, Cameron had another rant session with America in the hammock. It was a marathon and included America pretty much letting him know he'd be going up tomorrow, and also spilling the tea, literally. Cameron did his usual condescending lecture, before eventually spelling out for her how last week and this week unfolded, pointing largely to Jag and Matt, laying out their various deals and alliances, and saying America and Cory were next on the hit list. America didn't believe Jag was capable of that, and she referenced Zingbot calling him dull and boring. Cameron exaggerated some and fibbed some, and he had a few things wrong: he figured Jag would save Cirie, and that he'd have Cirie's vote, and he thought Cirie was the only one fighting to keep him against Jared. At one point, early on, America asked Cory to join them at the hammock and he said he would in a minute. Before Jag went upstairs, Cory told him America and Cameron were in the hammock and she was using hand gestures for making a point. Cory told that almost giddily, and he never went back to the hammock to join or get America out of there. Instead he went to bed. America finally joined him, retold most of it, and said she wished they could keep Cameron. Barring anything unexpected happening later or in the morning, which is entirely possible with this group, Jag will be using his veto on Felicia and Cameron will hit the block again. He won't go quietly, especially sitting next to Cirie, who Cory would probably like gone sooner than later. Buckle up again hamsterwatchers, this ride isn't over yet.
