They told it with anti-Jag/Matt/Cameron and anti-Blue angles, and pretended like they'd wanted Felicia to stay all along. (Actually Jag/Matt were behind the flip, and they convinced Cameron to try to pin the flip on Cory, which Cory later figured out.) Felicia reported that to Cirie, with an anti-Blue angle, and she also told Matt she'd been told she's staying. Matt also reported to Cirie, adding people wanted to gun for Blue next. Felicia did her usual Thursday vacuuming, and we saw several study sessions about their memory clues. There was some talk about the rule that they can't tell evictees they're going, but Mecole had gotten a heads up late yesterday that she'd probably be leaving.Between tech rehearsal/HOH lockdown and dress rehearsal/showtime, Mecole approached Jag and Matt separately to say America had pitched an F4 to her yesterday to include Cory and Bowie, and she told Jag and Matt to be sure they were playing for themselves and not someone else. Neither Jag and Matt gave her a definite answer about their votes, but they met about what she'd said. Matt went to tell Cory he thought Blue was working with Cameron, which Cory sounded surprised about (though he may have been faking that reaction), and he asked why Cameron told him Blue's coming after him? Matt said Cameron just wanted Cory and Blue to go after each other rather than him. Jag and Matt met with Bowie to say Cameron was trying to turn everyone against each other, and she acted like she was on board with them and against Cameron. They asked her about the F4 pitch Mecole mentioned, and Bowie said she didn't know about that. Studying continued here and there, along with the usual Thursday wardrobe choices and primping. All indications pointed to Mecole still going out tonight as the final pre-juror, but these guys do stay busy so nothing's confirmed until Julie says so. On the show, we finally got the post-veto meeting fight, which was mostly Felicia going after America and Cory as we'd heard, and Cory making a hasty exit and America complaining about that in Diary. She also admitted in Diary what we already knew, that Felicia was correct about America/Cory pitching an F4 to Felicia/Mecole rather than it being the other way around. I usually require angry raised voices on both sides to qualify for the fight tally but it's so bare this year, I'll add it anyway. And we saw some of the vote flip talks, with Julie teasing things had gone "back and forth" which wasn't really true this week: once they flipped, they stayed flipped. Mecole was evicted 7-0 as expected, but she called out Cory and America as she exited, and Bowie too I believe, saying they're aligned and going to use "you, you and you" (I don't know who she pointed to), and she said don't let them win the money. She was gracious and poised with Julie, and suitably shocked to learn about Jared and Cirie. The HOH comp was live on the show, titled Humili-grams, seven true/false questions about the detailed evictee pics they were shown last night. Cirie missed the first; Blue, Jag missed the second; all were correct for the third, fourth, fifth; Jag, Cirie, Matt, America missed the sixth; and Matt, America, Cory missed the seventh, leaving Bowie and Felicia tied with perfect scores. Their tiebreaker question was how many minutes was Jared a zombie, from when he re-entered the house until Cameron won the Do-or-Die comp, "closest without going over." Bowie wrote down 27 and held it up right away (what?) while Felicia worked math on her slate. Bowie changed her answer to 627 and Felicia finally held up the result of her math, which was 49,500 (what?) The correct answer was 10,104, giving Bowie the win since Felicia was way "over." Back in the house, Julie congratulated Bowie and told them they'd all made jury or finals, and she told us Zingbot would be on Tuesday's veto show. She also said somebody would be evicted next Thursday, when we'd also find out "how will Comicverse twist up the week?" Please stop. Feeds didn't come back til 10.20pm. Bowie joked to Cory and America that she'd put them up if they didn't play bumper pool with her. Shortly after, Cory did play and later America did too. America told them that Felicia told Blue "I heard you were capaigning against me." America also told Bowie she was nervous that Cameron might be buying whatever Blue's been selling, and she also asked if Bowie knew Blue had pushed for Cory to go up as renom last week. Downstairs, Jag asked Cirie if she was good with Bowie? Cirie gave a "so so" hand gesture, and Matt said not to worry, if he hears her name he'll shut it down. They laughed about the fatigue and ridiculousness of the entire show premise, and then moved on to Cory. Jag said he was trying to "be the hero" who saved Felicia, and they joked about him shuffling his cards at the end of the comp to throw it, and agreeing to "go to war" for people in veto comps (hence Jag's salute), until everyone was laughing hysterically, especially Cirie who had tears streaming down her face. Felicia reminded them that Cory's debate and speech training could be lethal at finals if he makes it there, and they joked that Cory and America wouldn't be leaving Bowie alone until after noms were made tomorrow. Later Jag whispered to Matt "there's a lot of people who are anti-Cory, that's good." America, Cory, Jag, Matt talked about ways they could get Cameron and Blue on the block, and/or Cameron gone, and Jag let Cory know how close he'd came to going up and out. Cameron joined, and said "let her do Felicia and Cirie" and then wait for veto to come up with eviction plan. Bowie finally got her room around 1.30am. Everyone had waited for it and they all trooped upstairs to ooh, ahh, and squeal. They were surprised to see pics of Bowie with long hair, and Bowie was surprised to see pics she hadn't sent, saying her parents must have sent them. She read her letter from her mom and dad who said everything was good at their home and at hers. She got a hoodie, jewelry, chardonnay, music by Crowded House, belts, nail polish, a lot of Red Bulls, a lot of Cadbury chocolate, Tim Tams, more Vegemite, and the usual huge assortment of other food and snacks. With everyone running various interwoven agendas, and Bowie's usual habit of agreeing with whoever's talking to her, pre-nom meetings tomorrow should be interesting. Cameron told Bowie he was happy to have a week not being HOH or nominee. Jag reinforced with Bowie their trio with Matt, then he met with Matt, and they agreed Cirie and Felicia noms would be best for them, with Cameron or Blue as renom and target. We'll see how it all pans out. SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box! And one-time donations of any amount can be made anytime at Ko-fi. And/or to watch prior BB USA, Canada, Australia seasons, plus a ton of other shows and movies as well. Day 66 - Friday - October 6, 2023Pre-nom meetings started early. Bowie said she was still figuring Cirie/Felicia noms, as tentatively agreed last night with Jag and Matt. She heard a lot of anti-Cory (and America) points from Cameron and Blue, and a lot of anti-Cameron (and Blue) points from Cory, America, Jag, Matt. At one point between meetings, she collapsed on her bed and said to herself/us "this is why I didn't want to be HOH, hello?" She hinted to Cirie and Felicia they might be pawns and after they compared notes, Felicia returned to HOH for a follow-up and Bowie told her it would be the two of them. She said her Reasons would be they hadn't talked game with her since the Red blindside, and she reminded Felicia she'd be voting if it's a tie. Basically most of them treated Bowie's HOH as if it was their own, especially when talking to each other, and nearly everyone was on board with Cirie/Felicia noms so they could get their respective nemesis up and out with the veto.Several of them mentioned at one point that the NOMINATIONS TODAY sign hadn't gone up on their monitor yet, but then it did after that conversation. Staffers are probably getting tired too. After meetings and follow-ups died down, America, Cameron, Cory, Jag, Matt all gathered in the HOH room with Bowie, as if hanging out with her was a normal thing for most of them, let alone as a group. She shared her snacks and her music, but mostly they laid around silently, some of them half dozing. I figure it was a round-robin babysitting party for each of them to ensure nobody else had a chance to get an extra nudge in for their respective agendas before Bowie locked in her nominations. Bowie nominated Cirie and Felicia as planned, apparently with a humorous speech, and the next phase of loops kicked in on schedule: who to pick if/when Houseguest Choice chips come up in the veto draw. Cory followed Bowie to HOH where she said she felt a little bad for Cirie, and Cory said she'd been a good sport about it. He said he'll tell both nominees having them on the block wasn't what he wanted, and that he'd use veto if he plays and wins it. America ratted out some of Cameron's anti-Jag/Matt campaign to Matt. Cameron told Jag and Matt that Felicia was angry at being on the block again, adding he could see steam coming out of her ears. It seemed like he said that with a little glee, but he was in his cocky condescending persona for much of the day, so it's hard to tell. The three of them sat in awkward silence for awhile as well. Bowie told Jag she'd be okay if noms stay the same because everything was so messy already and would only become more so, and they ran various post-veto and next-week scenarios over chess. And they agreed if they did use it, it would be better to save Cirie than Felicia. They all silently gulped down another dinner courtesy of Felicia, who was not her usual jovial self. Afterwards Cirie told her to buck up, and said they had to study tonight in case veto comp has questions. Bowie told Cameron that everyone was panicking, and Cory was pushing hard "for shit to be turned upside down," which Cameron correctly assumed meant putting him up as renom. Jag told Matt that Bowie said she didn't want to backdoor Cameron, that it would be dirty plus Cameron wasn't coming for her. And Jag said they should tell Bowie that Cameron wanted to work with just the two of them and he saw her as expendable. Cory joined, and America joined. Cory said the four of them should approach Bowie together as a team, and detail Cameron's crimes and misdemeanors, including that whenever he talks potential noms/targets, it always included putting them next to Bowie. We know Zingbot will visit tomorrow. I looked up which comps have followed the insult robot visits and was surprised to learn it's been virtually every type of comp except OTEV and BB Comics. Julie mentioned something about Comicverse next Thursday so I don't think tomorrow will be BB Comics, and she also mentioned tuning in to see Zingbot "as you've never seen him before." Maybe the bot will be the OTEV host/questioner sending hamsters to hunt and dig for zings. We'll know soon enough. It'll be the first time Cirie plays in a veto comp. As Jag, Matt, Cory, America made plans and wrote scripts to get Bowie to target Cameron, Cameron was busy shmoozing Bowie's brains out to ensure that wouldn't happen. Between rabid anti-Cory rants, he also reminded Bowie he was on her side and had been "for months" (several weeks anyway). Cameron left HOH and Matt arrived. Bowie told him Cameron was still pushing hard to renom Cory, and she said she'd be happy to vote out Cameron but she didn't want to put up. (That shmoozing he's been doing for months weeks had some effect.) Bowie told Matt she wished there'd be a big blowup involving Cameron because then she'd have a Reason. Jag joined, as did Cory and America but they left for bumper pool, and Jag gave a heartfelt and very lengthy speech about being 100% about the trio of him, Matt, Bowie, proclaiming loyalty, team player, they should name it, and etc. Bowie said she'd go down with that ship, and later suggested Sinking Ship as an alliance name. Throughout the day Bowie continually said she hadn't wanted to win HOH, she didn't necessarily want to get to finals or win the season, she didn't want all this responsibility etc, showing every sign of having the first case of anti-HOHitis we've ever seen.
