She said she didn't know what he had in mind but added "I love theatrics, I love blowups." Cameron walked across the yard to Matt who was reading the house Bible, and asked him about that, does he read it at home, and does he pray a lot. Matt responded he does pray, and Cameron asked how long he'd known about today's backdoor, and why it was happening, and were they going to blame Bowie for it? He said he was there for her after Red's blindside, he'd "plucked her from obscurity" and he was still tight with her at the start of the week. Matt hemmed and hawed, and said he guessed he learned about it yesterday. Cameron continued to press, and said "I'm the one that's gonna look like a fuckin idiot talking about Fugitives," and said he'd given Matt, Jag, Bowie a chance to tell him last night but they didn't, so "this one feels personal." (I think Bowie and Jag pretty much did tell him last night.) He continued to ooze out the guilt trip with "the two of you [Matt and Jag], it hurts man.. but it's okay, I love you man" and more before walking away again. Also this morning, Bowie told Matt and Jag about Cameron saying he'd take her to finals "even if you don't agree to it."Jag used his veto on Felicia and Bowie put up Cameron in her place, as planned. Feeds came back to Cameron acting unbothered and mocking Cory's lack of laundry skills to America. He said at least he beat a record, with five nominations. (Far from it: Johnny Mac, Spencer, Victoria, Taylor, Paul all had far more, for a start.) Apparently Cirie and Felicia both made jokes about Cory in their speeches, as did Bowie, again. Cameron said Bowie's true character was showing after she put him up, and she said good, she was proud of that. Cirie said she hadn't seen her suitcase since moving in and it'll remind her of home. Felicia and Cameron said they've seen theirs a lot. Cory asked Cameron why he wasn't backdoored last week, and Cameron ran his rehash/tell-all loops. Cory reported those back to America, and said he'd tell Cameron he's not voting to keep him, since even pretending otherwise would just make him (and America) look bad and put them at risk next week. And he said one of Cameron's bullet points was that they supposedly had a final three with Bowie. Cory also reported those loops to Bowie, Blue, Jag, Matt and that Cameron said they had a final four. Bowie said she'd predicted that when Cameron crashed their wine party last night. She also said Cameron had slipped up by telling her "we're working with Cory and America" and she'd responded "we?" And they joked about her "non-consensual F2" with Cameron. Felicia and Jag were truly unbothered as they enjoyed the nice afternoon weather. Cameron told Cirie that Matt had lied to him before the veto meeting "with a Bible in his hand" about only finding out about the plan yesterday. Cirie asked him for advice, "which way do I go now, if I stay," adding she wasn't certain she would stay. He said he was humbled by her asking him, and he laid out his rehash loops again. (It was too late for Cameron to learn social game [life] lessons but they've been right in front of him all season, if he'd chosen to notice.) Cirie reported some of that to Felicia, and the two of them met with Bowie. They all agreed they were only ever asked to work with anyone if numbers were needed for votes, they discussed Cameron's stories, and potentially working as five with Jag and Matt. Bowie said she'd talk to them about that. Cory told Jag that he and America were officially boyfriend/girlfriend now, and later America told Matt. The timing of that seemed orchestrated to me, but I don't know if it was. Jag was surprised, asking if that meant after the show? Cory said yes, and Jag said "woowww." Cory added "she's gonna see my backpack and be like I don't know, especially since it's a rolly one." They were told the yard would be closing very early tomorrow morning, so they all started up about the slip 'n slide comp again. It could well be that but at this point, it'd be hilarious if that comp doesn't make an appearance this season. At any rate, it only rarely has the safety option they keep planning around. Cirie and Felicia compared notes and realized nobody's got their backs, including Jag and Matt, and they discussed their options going forward. Meanwhile, Bowie retold her meeting with Cirie and Felicia to Jag and Matt. America and Cory joined and they all rehashed Cameron's retells, and the season, and plans for moving forward. Cory said "obviously we push for Felicia and Cirie" next. Several of them actually played a yard game for awhile, modified cornhole with a wadded up sock ball. Felicia told Cameron it was his last time in the yard, which shocked and amused everyone including him. Cirie told Blue some of Cameron's info about Jag and Matt playing everyone, and said it rang true and Blue should talk to him and see what she thought. She said Cameron had nothing to lose and no reason to lie at this point. They reaffirmed their trust in each other, and Cirie said they both needed to drop personal feelings for their games, including her own about wanting Cory gone first because she "can't stand him." She gave a few examples of things she'd heard that she figured Matt had leaked. (Jared may have been the source of some of that and his name did come up a lot in Cameron's tell-all, but I don't know if Cirie's aware yet that he did say too much to too many people.) They agreed to stick with Matt for now but to be wary of both him and especially Jag. Blue sat down with Cameron who spilled his story, starting by saying he loves Jared and he'd asked that Cameron protect Cirie, and that meant Blue too. To further complicate things, Jag told Matt they needed to establish an F3 with Cirie, alongside the one they have with Bowie, for endgame purposes, so watch for that pitch in the upcoming days. Even though they already made one back on September 1, complete with handshake and dip. Cirie and Felicia talked things over and decided Felicia would approach America first about teaming up to go against Jag and Matt. Cirie said at one point "what if some crazy shit happens on Thursday and Cameron doesn't leave?" and they both busted out laughing, which they did several more times as well. The nightly laughter from those two is what keeps me going. Blue wasted no time and told America and Cory that she'd heard Cameron's spiel and asked if they had too (yes). Matt joined and they talked about Cameron and his pitch some more, and they said he was currently interrogating Jag. Cameron did coach Jag on how to play BB, but at that moment he was telling him about his and Red's traveling podcast plans. I feel I should apologize for these recaps still being way too long but trust, I just scratch the surface because this group never lets up. I don't know if my readers want this level of detail or if I should gloss over more of the detailed crap and stick to the amusing stuff. A lot of my Patreon subscribers have cancelled but that could be due to losing interest in the season or financial situations or any number of things. I guess I'll just continue to play it by ear based on my mood and energy, but I'm going to lose out on holiday shopping for my Etsy shop because I'm doing this 16 hours a day and have no time to make anything. I'm at a loss. Wah and thanks for letting me whine. Again. SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box! And one-time donations of any amount can be made anytime at Ko-fi. Day 70 - Tuesday - October 10, 2023Cameron parked himself in the nominee chair this morning and I saw an imaginary "is it Thursday yet?" thought bubble over his head. Cory joined him and Cameron launched into his rehash/campaign loops. Cirie dreaded having to talk with Cory but she did, and they discussed the options for their respective duos moving forward and maneuvering with/around the Jag/Matt duo. Afterwards Cirie said to herself/us "this should be called Big Brother: The Impossible Game.. how do you make the impossible possible.. shit." Cory found out Cameron had been referring to him as a little kid, so he said he'd start calling him daddy and ran a few examples like "I would have put daddy up." Cameron continued his rehash/campaign loops with various others, setting them off to whisper with still more others, until most combinations had been covered, with Cameron making no progress at all as far as garnering votes. One of those Cameron loops sessions was with America. Those usually have a different tone than others and this one was no exception, with each of them getting a little snippy with each other. She got a bit heated at one point about him having "said her name" sometime in the past, while telling her he was working with her at that time. He said "that's the game" which she acknowledged, but they kept going in circles until he eventually said "you are incorrigible" as he walked out and she said "oh whatever." Cameron went to scary room and told Jag "no room feels comfortable" so he'd just hang out there for awhile, but America followed him in to ask why he'd walked out. He said he was just taking a break and they'd pick it up later, and America told Jag "he was just throwing you under the bus to me" as she left. Jag said "what is happening?" and Cameron said "you know what's happening bud." He then rehashed/campaigned to Jag, and at one point Cameron told him to stop doing his "silent Jag thing." Several regrouped in HOH where they remembered that they'd expected Cameron would try to pit them all against each other, but they didn't really acknowledge that he was having some success with that. Meanwhile Team Ants took advantage of the latest round of chaos and waged assaults on both the downstairs bathroom and the skybridge/game area. Go little guys, go! There had been some talk about Cameron revving up at 6pm, maybe holding a house meeting, but 6pm came and went with no joy of that type for us. Instead it was check-ins and retells of earlier meetings, and more meetings and more retells, and duos wondering which duo(s) they should or shouldn't trust. Blue told Cirie she'd been working with Jag and Matt since the start and didn't think they were the master manipulators Cameron kept saying they were (oops). A lot of them decided with various others they'd throw the HOH comp Thursday so they wouldn't have to get any drops of blood on their dainty hands. That will likely change when the time comes but it could be interesting, and funny, if they stick to it. Dinner was lamb, and the corner/far shot illustrated how over-large the table looked now. The middle size table for eight should arrive Thursday night or sometime Friday, unless next week's Comicverse twist throws a wrench into that milestone. After dinner they mostly split into two rooms, both of which held general topics chats that were interesting and/or amusing in their own ways. Cory told America that Cirie was pushing for a final four with them and Felicia, and America kind of scolded Cory for not rescuing her from Cameron's marathon rant at her in the hammock the other night, saying she'd "wasted a good wine drunk" on that. Cirie and Felicia decided to study for the spelling comp in case that was coming up. It's usually a veto and it hasn't been played since BB18, but they spent an hour or more coming up with superlong words including medical terminology from Cirie. I don't know if they realized in that comp they have to first hunt for letters and then build a word with whatever they happened to find. Cirie was called to Diary and Matt talked with Felicia for awhile, with each of them fishing for info as they were both shmoozing each other, and then they had a three-way shmooze/check-in. Cory, Blue, Bowie, Jag had a chess tournament. Cameron kept a low profile until later when he tried to work on Bowie, interrogating her and running the same old repetitive and condescending loops that have driven them all up a wall this week. She countered his accusations, wouldn't tell him things he wanted to learn about, and told him he'd pushed her too hard to renom Cory. I appreciate the comments about my whine at the end of last night's recap (and knowing that folks read that far on the lengthy days!) I will need to pull back some days, and I'm not able to do new ratings this week, but I will keep chugging along as best I can. Thanks once again, as always, for sticking with me! And/or to watch prior BB USA, Canada, Australia seasons, plus a ton of other shows and movies as well. Day 71 - Wednesday - October 11, 2023Another Groundhog Day kicked off like yesterday, with Cameron in the nominee chair, possibly planning his convos for the day. From there he talked with America in the bathroom again, but this time he apologized for walking out on her yesterday. They did some rehashing of course, but he said he was just going to hang out and not campaign today, he knew his time was up. He said it had been an honor to play with her as fellow fans of the show, they acknowledged they were good with each other even though they'd been up and down all season, and they hugged. He also asked that they don't send Felicia next to join him in jury house.Bowie retold last night's Cameron chat to Cirie and Felicia, including their stalemate about the word "blindside" regarding his renom. Cory talked Survivor some more with Cirie. Cameron reminded Matt he'd told him earlier "they're gonna tell you stuff about me and tell me stuff about you" but he didn't mention he'd been telling people stuff about Matt (and Jag) all week. Cirie and Felicia did some studying, and decided with Blue to make lasagna for dinner. Felicia said she'd never made it before which surprised Cirie, but she explained it was because it's so cheese-centric. With Cameron's campaigning over and/or on hold, general topics group chats broke out all over. Matt talked about his plans to get a pair of ducks. He'd obviously done a lot of research and put a lot of thought into it, and he described how he'd build a playground for them, take them for walks on leash, and swim with them. Once he got talking about it, he kept going and going and it was a nice (and unusual) diversion from the usual nonstop gaming. Matt said he wanted to name his ducks Louise and Anna (Louisiana), and eventually he wanted to add a dog, a mini pig, and a monkey. He said he's starting with ducks because he can't get a tiger. Jag said he'd always wanted a baby gorilla. Afternoon was mostly taken up with makeovers, mostly Cory's. America did his hair, Bowie his nails, and Jag did his makeup. America then installed some of her stunt hair on Bowie. Blue gave us a talk saying she thought she'll throw HOH tomorrow, and she hoped Cory would leave next week, and she'd like the final five to be all the women. She said personally she'd love to be final three with Matt and Jag but said she'd likely lose against them. Matt joined her and told her Cory was gunning for her, and Cirie told her not to throw it tomorrow. Cirie's lasagna was served, and enjoyed by all. Cory and America discussed Mat and Jag and realize each was telling them different things. I have some other things to deal with tonight so am bailing early. Cameron will leave (again) tomorrow, likely unanimously (again). SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box!
