This group dives right in as soon as they wake up and today was no exception. Jag reported his Mecole and Felicia talks to Matt first thing, with a strong anti-Jared/Cirie focus, and later they told Blue. Felicia started up a major anti-Cirie/Jared campaign, presenting it to America, Mecole, Bowie in turn, reporting that Cirie and Jared were actually targeting her last week, and she went all the way back to Hisam's and Red's evictions. Cirie joined as she was talking to Bowie, asking what's going on now? Felicia shmoozed her of course, and later Cirie told Bowie everyone talks about everyone, and said "you were the stalker" with a giggle. She added "not really the stalker but the popper-up. It was funny though, it wasn't like 'oh this bitch,' nothing like that." That isn't exactly true (cough), nor was it true when Felicia told Bowie she'd always trusted her, even when others didn't. Felicia's the reason Bowie's been known as FBJ for "Fucking Bowie Jane" out here all season. Felicia also told Mecole, regarding Cirie, that she can work next to someone she can't stand all day long and they never know.Jag used his veto on Cory, and Jared put up Cameron in his place. Post-veto meeting whispers were all about the upcoming week, with the usual constant refrain "we have to win HOH." Jag and America had one of those whispery convos about the future in the bathroom, with Matt, but he got up and left saying he can't hear them whispering and "whispers are just kind of annoying." America said she was sorry and Jag told her he'd fill in Matt later. Felicia again said she had a feeling this week would be a double. Scrambling and whispering finally calmed down a bit to be replaced by dinner talk and sunbathing. They were told the yard would be closing tomorrow so most of them put in their yard time to do laundry, attempt stealth naps, and enjoy some outside time while they could. Felicia continued her anti-Cirie/Jared campaign with America, and with Jag. America told Jag she didn't trust Blue not to blab if they told her Jared's the target. Jag asked Blue her thoughts about Felicia's plan to build an alliance with everyone except Cirie and Jared, and Blue said it was "trash." Blue met with Felicia to tell her she wants to keep her personal relationship with Jared but her game relationship with him had "changed immensely" and she said she needed to change her strategy, and move forward with or without him. Felicia agreed, saying they make a nice couple "but don't let that destroy your game" and she said Cirie and Jared "showed her something last week." Blue reminded her how she'd asked in a recent Seven-now-Six Sins meeting who created For Real For Real because Cirie had previously told her Cirie did, but in that meeting she said it was Cory. Felicia said she loved Cirie and Jared to death, but gamewise she was done with them. They wrapped it up with a hug and the usual requests on both sides to not repeat any of it. Blue reported to Jag shortly after. Jag reported Felicia's anti-Cirie/Jared campaign to Cory, and there were various comments all over about getting Bowie's vote. Cirie whispered to Felicia over dinner prep "they're setting themselves up for Jag, Cory, America to be the final three, watch." She said she was watching everything and thought they were aiming at Jared more than her, but that she and Felicia would be targeted soon. Felicia said "you think so?" Cirie said she hoped she was wrong, and Felicia said she did too. Cameron had pretty much stayed isolated in the backyard, likely watching the comings and goings, and who was whispering with whom. He popped a surprise funny to Jag, saying "I'm a little confused of the plan. I think it would be a whole lot easier to have taken America out a different way" than all the roundabout noms scurrying. Jag laughed and said "I know you was cooking up that joke bro" and Cameron said "for hours." Both busted up laughing, and then moved on to general chat and socializing, mostly by Cameron, not usually known as a shmooze artist but I'm guessing he'll try anything and everything this week. Cirie told Jared about telling Felicia that America/Cory/Jag were setting up for finals, and said she'd told Blue that Felicia told her that, so if Felicia reports it to Jag and he asks Blue about it, Blue can say Felicia said it and not Cirie. Jared said "smart, we got her back y'all, she's back on point" meaning Cirie's head was back in the game. Cirie said a good-natured "shut up" and they exchanged I love yous. All eleven of them socialized outside together for awhile before loading their plates for dinner. Most of them ate outside. Cirie sat down with Felicia, and apologized for not leading a charge to let her know what was going on last week, and said she really loves her and didn't want to taint their relationship. We didn't see the rest of that convo, or many more of substance after that. There was some hubbub about shoes, and Jag approached Bowie for a maybe kind of alliance. Feeds were down way more than they were up so it's an early night for me, and maybe for them too. SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box! Day 49 - Tuesday - September 19, 2023Morning brought 1,001 meetings and check-ins again, plus Felicia making those croissants from a can but not cutting the dough on the lines, so she made freeform crumpled rolls instead. Mecole and Jag had a check-in, agreeing Cirie was suss and saying she only defends herself in rehash discussions. Mecole then paced in her pantry while tossing an orange, and wondered aloud if there was a way to convince people to keep Cameron instead of America, saying "it's like pulling a rabbit out of a hat." She said she was concerned about Cirie and Jared becoming the new target when Cirie arrived and asked what she's doing in there juggling an orange, and both laughed. Cirie left, Felicia joined, and she told Mecole that Blue and Jag had each approached her to target Jared and Cirie, "but they used the same language," and she said she knew they'd "paint a negative picture" of her to Jared and Cirie. She said she was unsure now which way she wanted to lean, and wondered if she and Mecole should tell Jared and Cirie or just let it play out. Mecole suggested they just stay in the middle because Jared and Cirie were going to be targeted regardless, but they needed to think about which of them to keep if (when) that happens.Felicia retold Cameron's joke about everyone making everything so complicated this week that he'd told to Jag and to Jared, and they agreed it was kind of funny but also stupid. Cory told Felicia he'd heard that Felicia said Jag, Cory, America had an F3 deal and Felicia said she'd heard that too but wasn't sure who from, then she said "actually Cirie told me that." Cory said "that's what I figured" and he stressed that Cirie hadn't told him, just "I heard that." (Recall Cirie did tell Felicia that, and later Cirie told Jared she told Blue that Felicia told her, which Jared thought was brilliant.) Felicia then went on a new investigation tour, asking various individuals about that among other things. Cameron did some general socializing here and there, and made a campaign pitch at Jared. Many out here said that was pointless, but there are eight votes so a tie is mathematically possible, and many of them think Jared has influence with Blue, Cirie, Felicia who in turn have influence with others. One of Felicia's investigation stops was with Matt in his Have-not office. He told her the house was targeting Jared and Cirie right now, so it's probably best they jump off that sinking ship. Blue told Jared maybe the new target was actually Cirie; Jared asked Felicia about Mecole and she said Mecole's still with Brown Sugar Babes, and they agreed Bowie had now become an important number so Felicia was keeping her close (so was Cirie); Blue told Matt she couldn't put up Jared and Cirie yet if she wins HOH, and she didn't want to do America and Cory's dirty work for them anyway. Felicia told America, Jag, Cory she'd told Jared she'll just go along with the lie that she said they have an F3, with a huge shrug and laugh, because why not. Meetings, whispers, rehashes, truths and lies carried on everywhere. There was some buzz out here that last night's wonky on-and-mostly-off feeds may have been due to a wall yeller, but I'm not aware of any credible source confirming that. If that did happen, you'd have to assume it would be about Cirie and Jared, but absolutely nothing today indicated anyone heard anything like that (or anything else). Spa day happened in HOH with most of them in attendance at first. Matt said it was too much noise so he left but Cory followed him to gametalk, and then they talked dating, and Jag eventually joined them. Blue gave Cirie and Felicia face roller treatment and eye cucumbers, and each looked very relaxed afterwards. Bowie and Cameron each got hair makeovers, Bowie's by Felicia and Cameron's by America. Cirie told Matt nobody was really talking game to her and she knew that meant she was in trouble, and they each said they loved the other. Cirie then talked with Cory, with much smoke being blown on both sides, and each of them saying they felt they were being targeted. America joined, and Cirie said if she happens to win the next HOH she wouldn't be targeting them. Cory told us he was sorry for not talking to us for awhile (he's been spending most of his free time undercovers with America.) He said America, Jag, Matt were his current "real alliance" but he also said that probably wasn't sustainable long-term since Jag and Matt are too good at competitions. Blue asked Bowie which seasons she watched to prepare and she said 22, 23, 24, half of 10, and Canada 6. Blue said she also watched Canada 6, adding "that's the one they told me to watch." (It had several strong female players, and two female finalists.) Gametalks raged on about who'd put up whom next week, with next to no waffling about the America/Cameron vote. Cameron's still a goner and Jared or Cirie are likely following him out as of now, but we'll see what they all get up to for Waffle Wednesday. Blue and Bowie had their first gametalk, which wasn't much, and Cirie, Felicia, Jared, Mecole finally convened a Brown Sugar Babes meeting but it wasn't much either, since the mommas have been in a silent war with each other for awhile now. Felicia didn't make dinner (she was working today) so everyone was on their own for that. America, Blue, Jag had an impromptu language school covering Spanish, Korean, Punjabi respectively, with Felicia and Mecole in attendance for some of it. Blue demonstrated hand/arm signals for Korean vowels and drilled everyone on them. Jag said he'd always gone by Jag in school but if he needed his full name he'd spell it Jagteshwer. Years later he saw his birth certificate and discovered it's actually Jagateshwar. He said the same thing happened to his brother. America and Jag compared words that were similar in Spanish and Punjabi, and she wondered if India was ever colonized? Jag said yes, by the British. America was surprised it wasn't the Spanish. I tuned out the rest of the gametalks and check-ins, so I don't have anything more to add on all that - apologies, but they'll do it all over again tomorrow. Chances are good they'll get their halfway party tomorrow. That usually means feeds down from 6pm to 8pm or so because they get music, along with food, the traditional photo cake, and booze. Day 50 - Wednesday - September 20, 2023They didn't get a pantry restock which got them wondering if they were about to be split like Brochella/Dyre, but they don't know it's a double which would leave them with nine (unless the scary ending Julie teased involves a revival). America and Blue plus Jag made a late breakfast of chilaquiles which everyone enjoyed. Cameron sat mostly silent at his perch at the island for much of the prep time, with his sunglasses on. He seemed to be glaring but maybe that was just the shades giving that impression. Cirie said to several of them at one point, if Cameron ends up staying somehow, "production, just put my suitcase in the room," and said she'd pay for her own hotel just to get out of there. The Seven-now-Six Sins attempted another meeting but Jag was late again, and busy talking with America. Blue finally went to relieve him and babysit America while Cirie babysat Cory. Felicia, Jag, Jared, Matt discussed the next cycle - well, Jag discussed it a lot and then Jared took over for an hour so. He said he knew he'd be in a bad spot if Cory or America won HOH "but as long as this group's solid" he wasn't worried. (Oops.) They also laughed about Bowie just going along with everyone all the time, and how she'd said being HOH would be a terrible position to be in. Jared eventually left and Felicia, Jag, Matt agreed if they can get Cirie and Jared on the block, it'd be best to boot Jared first because he's won comps and because they were all on to Cirie's social game. Cory shmoozed Bowie while cycling and talking about future plans, laying groundwork to pull her in closer to his side later on. Cameron did some campaigning to Jared with Matt present, reminding him he could break a tie if Cameron can manage to get four votes. (But he won't be able to do that.) America and Blue met and made a final two they named Sirens, or Sloppy Sirens. America told Blue about the Crossroads alliance that included Cirie, Cory, Izzy, Jared, and Blue told America that she was in a final three with Cirie and Jared. They agreed to keep their F2 and info exchange from their respective showmance partners, though I don't know if either did or didn't stick to that. They got a pneumatic tube message and were shown a puzzle clue that sounded like a phrase with a lot of missing letters. Guesses included eviction to be reversed, and BB zombies resurrected. They were all stumped by it and called it "a shitty heads up" that was just intended to make them paranoid. There wasn't any serious talk about deciding to keep Cameron as a result, and there were a few convos saying they definitely wouldn't change their minds about that. I think they also got a heads up about their halfway party shortly before it was due to begin. Felicia dressed up as a green elf complete with party hat and a pair of Jag's striped chicken leg tights, and sat outside the pantry with Blue waiting for delivery. Feeds went to adoptable anipals at 6.07pm for their halfway party and returned just before 8.30pm. They had pizza, ziti, wine, beer, music, and the traditional photo cake, but did we see its picked-over carcass like we always do every year? No we did not. Most of them were sitting around or laying in bed, and we didn't get a peek at the kitchen or dining table at all until much later when we finally got a wide shot glimpse. They'd apparently been done for awhile when feeds came back, and I still felt robbed at not having a cake closeup for that collection. (It's the little things.) Cory told America he was ready to throw anyone under the bus now, and she told him she ate and drank so much she wanted to throw up, but I don't think she did. Cirie asked the two of them to confirm they still wouldn't be at jury if someone comes back after Cameron leaves, and they said that was correct. Cirie said "damn!" and she slammed a couple closet doors as she walked by, adding "just kidding" (about the slam) and "shit! That's some bullshit!" Blue gave us a recap of her season in her Diary voice, eventually arriving at the present, saying she's in a good position right now. And she said Jared's "my boo, my babe, but in the game he's cut off." Many were in bed and asleep just after 10pm, and I didn't stick around for whatever the others were yapping about. Cameron's a goner for sure tomorrow, and likely Jared as well, depending who wins the quickie HOH. Unless the Scaryverse brings one of them back. We'll see.
