As far as I know there never was a closeup of this year's photo cake on feeds, for the first time since they started delivering those cakes at the halfway point of each season. And Blue joined charter member Felicia in the mic drowning club by dropping hers in the toilet. Speculation out here about what the Scaryverse teasers meant ran rampant, boosted by people discovering there's no veto show this week (something observant Hamsterwatchers have known since the premiere). That speculation went into overdrive when the usual outlets announced they won't be doing evictee interviews tomorrow as usual. It will all become clear soon. The show was more frantic and fast paced than usual, with even the opening recap cut down to a few seconds. The lengthier recap wasn't much longer but it did include the Scaryverse card they got yesterday, with its many missing letters. Julie told them right away that it's Scary week, and this was a double eviction. Nobody seemed overly shocked about that, likely because most had discussed the possibility and they all knew it was due. Cameron was evicted 8-0 and feigned surprise when Julie read the vote, and again when he sat down with her, but he acknowledged that he knew it was coming. Instead of asking questions, she told him his game was actually undead and he was now a BB Zombie. And she said he'd have to wait a little longer to find out what that meant, and so did we. The HOH comp was Soul Mates, in which they had to select A B or C dating profiles for a soul looking for a match. The first correct answerer stayed in, the other was eliminated, and the next person in line chose their opponent. Mecole was up first by a draw during commercial break and she chose Bowie. Results were as follows: 1) Mecole vs Bowie: Bowie out 2) Blue vs Felicia: Felicia out 3) Jag vs Cirie: Jag out 4) Matt vs Cirie: Matt out 5) Cory vs Cirie: Cirie out 6) America vs Blue: America out 7) Mecole vs Cory: Mecole out 8) Cory vs Blue: Blue out, giving Cory the win Cory nominated Jared and Blue. Jag, Matt, Mecole were picked during the break to play veto, which was Monster Kill. They had to run down their lanes, hunt through a ball pit clown shoe-style, but this time they needed to find a torch, stake, silver bullet and race each item back down their lanes one at a time to stab and kill a monster, vampire, werewolf respectively. It was a very fast and manic comp, which Matt won. He did not use it, and Blue and Jared remained on the block. Jared was evicted 6-1, with Cirie the lone dissenter. He went out in good spirits after hugs all around, and Cirie seemed to cover her emotions okay but Blue was clearly upset. Onstage, Julie called Cameron out to join Jared, which he did, saying "I told you so" to Jared. Julie told them both would re-enter the house tonight and live there all week, and one would be resurrecting his game. She then told us there'd be no HOH, nominations, or veto comp this week, and she said we'd see both guys re-enter the house on Sunday's show, and on Thursday's show one of them would be resurrected back into the game. Julie also gave a feeds plug, but feeds didn't come back til 10.30pm. Jared Zombie was wearing some raggedy denim which may have been a zombie costume, or maybe it was just a "distressed" jacket of his own. He was pressing Matt about not using tonight's veto, with Cirie present, and they did a whole lot more rehashing. Matt talked about trying to play an honest game and etc, and when Jared left, Cirie talked in her calming way to Matt. Jag joined and Cirie then pressed him for info that he didn't supply. Blue and Mecole were also rehashing, and Jared Zombie then replaced Mecole to grill Blue about what she knew and when. Felicia joined the Cirie, Jag, Matt discussion, and then Bowie arrived in the comics room where they were talking to announce she was going to bed. Matt told Cirie he wanted her to know tonight was a shot at Jared and not her. Jag asked Cirie if she'd ever targeted him and she said she hadn't felt threatened by anybody she felt had to go, "until now." Cameron Zombie came along to show his nighttime zombie outfit, so I guess Jared Zombie's raggedy denim was indeed a costume. They had been told there was no HOH, noms, or veto this week. Felicia and Matt had a rehash, and she made it sound like they might have to vote which of the zombies stays? I don't know if that's how that will be decided or not, but it will become clear sooner or later. Cory and America then met with Matt and both gave him hugs, saying "good job." Apparently Brown Sugar Babes were outed at some point without us, and Cirie and Mecole had a fight? Me, I remain OD'd on all the repetitive and mostly pointless gametalk loops and thought this week might provide a break from that, or maybe even bring some fun feeds activities from BB? (This cast has shown they aren't capable of being very entertaining on their own.) And maybe that will happen once they settle down from this messy evening where not one but two evictees bounced right back into the house. I hope so anyway. Getting a zillion complaints directed to me about the evening's outcome didn't help my enthusiasm. SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box!
