Day 51 - Wednesday - August 27, 2025
Last night Ava found Keanu and Rachel arguing in the bathroom, with Rachel saying "are you trying to get me on the block every week?" Ava said "it's 3am, go to bed!" but she went to HOH to report the two were fighting to Vince and Morgan. Rachel later told Ava that Keanu had tried to get her on the block this week, which surprised Ava. Vince and Morgan were up til at least 5am again. This morning Keanu cleaned the shower thoroughly, with Rachel and Kelley supervising. Will later told Rachel "I think you broke him" about Keanu, and Rachel replied "somebody needed to." Ashley, Mickey, Rachel, Will talked about Katherine and Rylie and wondered if they'd make a go of it. Rachel said she and Brendon did, and Will said she's an anomaly, and Rylie may be 27 but "he's a kid, he needs to grow up." They agreed he and Katherine had a lot of fundamental belief differences that would make a serious relationship difficult. And they don't even know about the rest of it, whew. Keanu told Rachel he realized yesterday that Rachel was indeed loyal to their F2 and he messed up, and he said he won't do it again.
It was a very slow day, but gametalk picked up late afternoon. Rachel and Morgan agreed over food prep it might be better to keep Kelley. Lauren went to HOH to ask Vince how to vote, saying she doesn't want to "be weird" and talk to anyone else, since nobody was talking today. Vince said he thinks Katherine or Kelley will go if they're up against Ava, but he added Morgan might keep Ava over Kelley. He turned it back on Lauren by saying if it's a tie, he'll break it however Lauren prefers, and he said Ashley swears that Lauren, Ava, Katherine have a final three, which Lauren denied (they do, but they're waiting to formalize it if Ava and Lauren both survive the eviction). Lauren continued to say she doesn't know what to do, she doesn't think Kelley likes her, and she finally agreed with Vince that as much as they love Ava, it might be best if she goes. Kelley arrived and left, and Keanu arrived and stayed. Vince asked if he knows what's going on with the vote and Keanu said people are considering voting Ava out. Keanu left, and Lauren said she wants to talk to Morgan, Mickey, Rachel, Ashley (nobody's stopping her from doing that). Morgan arrived, and began one of her lengthy roundabout rambles. She said she'd probably keep Ava over Katherine or Kelley, with a few sidetracks. I didn't stick around to the end to know where they landed.
Meanwhile Rachel began jury selection by interviewing Kelley about what criteria she'd use if she is a juror. Kelley said loyalty and gameplay, and said she respected Mickey's move of putting up Jimmy. And she acknowledged Rachel made a big move by putting up Rylie and breaking up the showmance, but thought it was too soon. Rachel kept posing questions that Kelley sidestepped, or asked if she gave the right answers. Rachel said there are no right or wrong answers, she just wanted to know how Kelley would decide a winner if she has a say in doing so. Ava griped to Will about how much she hates Mickey, and that she caught Morgan and Vince talking into the wee hours last night. Will just counted the hours til he can eat again.
Towards the end of the episode airing, Lauren and Ashley were discussing the vote in the train room, with Lauren saying the vote's going to be really hard and especially if it's a tie. Once again, Ava was in her bunk above and heard the convo. Until then, I think she figured she'd be safe against either of the others with no chance of a tie, because that's what everyone's been telling her (and that was true until recently), so she hadn't done much campaigning. Lauren ran into HOH to frantically tell Vince about the oops and he asked if she'd been talking against Ava, and Lauren said "no - wait, did I? I don't think I said anything." Typical. Vince said it's probably fine, and he asked Lauren to confirm if it is a tie, does she want him to keep Katherine? I don't know if Lauren answered that, or how if she did. Ashley joined to report the faux pas to Vince, and she said it's probably fine since she said she's keeping Ava, but Lauren kept freaking out. Rachel checked in with Ava, and I think she told Rachel about the convo she heard but not sure. She did convey that she thinks she might be going tomorrow, and she added if she doesn't win $750,000 because she didn't listen to Keanu enough "it's money well spent."
Kelley and Katherine gave a couple campaign pitches here and there that didn't amount to much. Rachel gave a lengthy and fantastic TED talk about our national parks, describing several she's been to, and a lot of detail about her favorite Zion. Morgan led a very lengthy group chat about baby names, and then went back upstairs. She was bouncing off the walls, saying she was fired up on too much coffee, and Vince pointed out it was likely as much about lack of sleep as anything. She danced some, then pounced on his bed with her slippers in the air. Vince said he's sorry his energy level wasn't matching hers. Ava shared her eviction worries with Will, saying she's a little afraid to leave the house because she's been insulated in there for so long, "a little bit of Stockholm syndrome." Will peptalked her and told her she's a star, she'll be recognized at airports, and "just navigate it." Upstairs, Morgan settled down a bit and laid on Vince's bed as he rubbed her shoulders. Ashley and Ava had a long chat that had a lot of anti-Mickey content.
BB called Will to the pantry around 11am. He's been low energy for days from being Have-not but he sprinted to the door, saying "don't mess with me, don't mess with me" and they didn't: they had a rare late booze delivery. Vince and Morgan were in HOH and missed it but everyone else was thrilled, especially Will. Most agreed to wait til midnight for the feast to start drinking. Ava said she'll give up her share for the Have-nots, and Rachel had an early glass of wine while making dinner with Mickey. That consisted of lasagna, wings, burgers, fries, biscuits, cookies, and wine, beer, or hard seltzer to wash it down, and it was savored.
As is typical this season, the vote's tricky to call. I think Kelley will go over Katherine, and Ava will go over either Katherine or Kelley. That's not at all where we started the week but as they've often said, things change fast in there, and they could change again.

Day 50 - Tuesday - August 26, 2025
Late night tidbit: Ava told Lauren if she and Katherine both survive the week, it's "a sign from God" the three of them should team up to move forward. I don't know. I guess Julie will be happy to hear things like that (and there are a lot of things like that this season).
The one constant in all Vince's gametalks yesterday was reminding himself he had to do laundry, which he didn't start until very late. He was out there at 4am trying to add the shirt he was wearing to a load in progress, but that was a fail. This morning he said he forgot about it again and ran downstairs a little after 6am but the yard was already closed for the week. His laundry was delivered, and he spent some time this morning stacking and rearranging it, like he does. Keanu worked on him for awhile to keep Katherine this week, and recall Rachel started pitching to her teamies yesterday to boot Katherine, but she got some pushback on that. If it does come down to a Katherine versus Kelley tie vote on Thursday, we won't know Vince's tiebreak decision until Julie makes him say it.
It was a blissfully (for me) quiet morning. Rachel studied days events as she cycled, and later she laid out lozenges in the gym to study some more. She stashed a bunch of them in a couple boxing gloves, velcro'd them closed, and stucked them away in a corner. I don't know what that was about but if Ava or Morgan come along to do some vent punching, they'll be surprised. Lauren and Kelley played a few games of chess with Keanu and Katherine watching, and elsewhere it was chit-chat or silence.
The peace didn't last though. Rachel and Keanu went another lengthy round in the gym, adding another fight to the tally, with her saying she doesn't trust him anymore, and him saying he didn't betray her, and each retold their side multiple times. The way they keep doing this in an almost-actual boxing ring was a bonus. Rachel got extra frustrated, which I think was because she wants to believe him, but knows she shouldn't. Afterwards Keanu told himself/us he could save her with veto once they hit jury, but he could only do that once because everyone else would target them together after that. Their voices were raised enough they could be heard in HOH, but Vince and Morgan were sleeping in there and apparently didn't hear any of it. Morgan left HOH after a wakeup prompt, Kelley joined, and Vince asked her about the wine and hug drama the other night. She retold her highly exaggerated version, and went so far as to say Diary replayed the footage for her. AS IF. (And worse, some in the fanbase believed that part, when the real issue is she was using production as strategy.) Vince threw more anti-Rachel, anti-Ashley, anti-Mickey seeds at Kelley, along with his usual poor-me, and she threw more anti-Rachel and keep-me seeds at him, along with her usual self-boosting and poor-me cycles.
Katherine and Rachel had a talk, with Rachel dressed in sweats plus vest, like she's winter camping, per herself (accurate) because it's extra cold in there today. Katherine said she thinks people were just backing her before because of Rylie, and she broke down when she said now she has the opportunity to play solo but she doesn't know what to do. Rachel leaned in for a hug (what a monster!), and said she's so sorry, she gets it, Brendon was evicted twice, but she went on to win. Katherine also said she can't campaign against Ava. Morgan passed through and misread the room, saying she gets it too, she knows how it feels to be on the block. Rachel soft-pitched working together to Katherine, who said "I hate holding grudges, it makes me sick, I don't have the continence for it and it feels icky." (She probably didn't mean continence.) She said she has to weigh her relationships moving forward, but she did like Rachel for five and a half weeks. Rachel said she'd keep her over Kelley, and "I know it's hard over Ava." Morgan took out her M&Ms in HOH for Vince to push for keeping Kelley over Katherine, after yet another many-seconds hug, with a camera zoom to the photo of Vince and his girlfriend. They were joined by Ashley who disagreed about keeping Kelley, and Will who agreed. Katherine pitched to Mickey, who coached her about Block Buster, and said this week will likely be a puzzle based on the prior rotations.
Vince told Lauren that Kelley hated him yesterday but now they're working together again, and he told us he hopes it isn't a tie vote - as if he didn't spend all week telling both sides if it is a tie, he'll break it their way. In a blast from the past, Rachel taught Katherine, Kelley, Lauren, Morgan, Vince how to play Big Booty, and they were starting to get the hang of it when an extended WBRB came along. When feeds returned, everyone was scattered and gametalking again. Weird. Kelley happily announced the end of her cleaning strike and started spraying and dusting, and she told Vince "see, I told you it would work: strategy." I don't know what she thinks worked, but I'm pretty sure her strike didn't affect anything. Kelley told Katherine and Lauren that Mickey and Morgan are voting to keep her, and when they questioned that, she said she made it up. (What?) She then said she hopes Ava goes and she hates saying that, but she asked if they'd want to be on the block against Ava in the future? Good point, and she added "Ava's the season DOLL." Rachel gave Jimmy's hoodie back to Keanu, and later Ashley and Mickey were perturbed she'd done that. She told them later she'd already given it to him awhile ago but took it back after one of their fights. Notably, Keanu did not retell today's fight to Vince. Keanu did tell Katherine and Lauren that Ava will get voted out, and he said it'll be "fuckin insane to go into jury with five people working together!" (Ava's probably not going anywhere, but we've learned to just humor Keanu with his alliance dreams.) Ashley had to confirm with Will that he's voting out Kelley because his acting was so good she almost believed he's undecided.

Day 49 - Monday - August 25, 2025
Last night during a Morgan shift with Vince, he brought Lauren in and asked them for pros and cons of the Rachel versus Katherine renom decision. Lauren sputtered and said nothing, and actually put on the headphones at one point rather than contribute. Morgan jumped in to lay some out pros and cons, sounding annoyed, and she mentioned Vince's vote to evict Rylie. Morgan left, Lauren came back to life, and said something about not wanting to say anything in front of Morgan because she retells everything. Vince said he didn't know why she mentioned the Rylie vote. (Remember I said I think he's going to try to pit people against each other to get him out of the predicament he created for himself? Last night had Kelley versus Rachel, and this pros and cons convo may have been to get Morgan further perturbed about Lauren's passiveness and timidity, and maybe get some anti-Morgan going with Lauren.)
Vince also got heated and said "no offense to past seasons but this is SO MUCH HARDER!" Not really: last year also had Block Buster and some other seasons also had three nominees some weeks, but mostly the game as shown on TV is always extremely over-simplified from the reality. Hamsters who don't do their homework tend to be shocked by that.
Vince was pushed and pulled overnight some more, with Mickey locking Keanu out of HOH when she was talking to Vince. Keanu sat around for 45 minutes until Mickey left, and headed back up for more anti-Rachel campaigning. He got into the bed, and later Vince complained about "fucking swamp ass in my bed." The follies continued this morning with various people cycling in and out of HOH to plead their case, including Will and Mickey, but Vince still didn't voice his decision. Rachel (plus Morgan for a bit) repeated the same things to Vince to keep Rachel off the block, with Keanu parked outside on the balcony waiting for another turn for rebuttals, while Katherine watched from below and waited for the veto meeting to happen.
Mickey used her veto on herself obviously, and after all the yap and indecision, Vince put up Katherine in her place. Katherine was fuming downstairs and griping to Lauren about not having had enough time with Vince when everyone else did. Ashley, Morgan, Rachel were in HOH with Vince after the meeting, boosting him up. He and Rachel hugged, and he said they'll have a fun rest-of-the-game now. (We'll see.) Rachel went downstairs to the kitchen and shunned Keanu when he asked to talk with her, saying she had nothing to say to him. He pestered some more, and she said "why don't you turn around and make your little eggs and leave me alone." Also, a small note I overlooked last night, when Rachel finally realized Keanu was working against her, she went and took back a hoodie that Jimmy had left with her, which she'd passed on to Keanu.
Vince finally collapsed onto his bed, but it didn't last long. Keanu ranted to himself/us in the gym/conference room that he has to make it to jury phase "and Rachel will be fighting for her life again," and he summoned Vince and laid into him. He said Katherine's not the best move, he could have put up Will, and he told Vince "stop fuckin lying to me bro!" Vince said it was Morgan who told Rachel about Keanu wanting her to go up. (Another seed of dissension sown.) Eventually Keanu was shouting at Vince "they're being manipulative, you're better than that!" And he confessed that after Vince burned him before, he made an F2 with Rachel. Then he said "I'm sorry if it feels like I'm attacking you but I'm so frustrated right now! I thought I aligned myself with the best people but instead it's the people who are gonna pick us off one by one" and "maybe I look like a fuckin idiot right now, you might be thinking this idiot, I have an F6 with them." (Close, but it's an F5.) Around then Vince erupted "I need to fuckin man up and put on my fuckin big boy pants and do some shit! I know, I fall into the fuckin same routine as my regular life!" He crumpled into a near-fetal position and the tears were real for a minute, in my opinion.
Keanu said "you have to grow, man" and said they need to stick together and trade off HOHs to get to the end, and "I chose you for a reason, I need you to choose me," and "we only need two!" (That's a big reduction from Keanu's original imaginary alliance of ten, and the various reductions since.) True to form, Vince said Lauren can win HOHs, planting the seeds for yet another Vince alliance to come along. All this went on for an hour or more, with Rachel, Ava, Morgan each popping their heads in along the way, and being shooed out. Vince kept up his poor-me bad acting, and Keanu peptalked him for close to another hour with positive reinforcement and affirmations (some of which he probably picked up from his big name mentors he's talked about in the past). Vince finally escaped his clutches and went back to his room, where he crawled on top of Morgan and fell into her clutches for the retells, and then she relaunched her anti-Mickey campaign. Meanwhile Rachel sat down with Katherine and Lauren and asked what their favorite Barbie was, and from there she talked about Harry Potter. Subtle as a brick with a nine-year-old daughter, but a lot funnier.
Morgan pulled out her M&Ms again to lay out the future for Vince, who only wanted to rest. When she finally finished, she flushed them down the HOH toilet to hide the evidence, and not for the first time. (They melt in your mouth, not in your pipes?) Rachel told Ashley, Mickey, Morgan that Katherine's tight with Lauren and Keanu but Kelley's on her own, so maybe they should target Katherine this week. A solid plan strategy-wise, but the others said Kelley's too much of a problem to keep due to her lies and instigating. Ashley said "maybe if she was a normal human." Meanwhile Keanu pitched an alliance to Katherine and Lauren to include him and Vince. He said he's been trying to get a group of six together (which never included them - oops), but at this point four would be solid enough to get them to the end, especially since they've won comps and "everyone else is taking shots at each other." He told Katherine "I firmly believe you're staying" and he said they could get Rachel out at F9. This guy just won't give up his big alliance dream, even though he keeps getting left out in the cold. He had a good shot at the power run he craves if he'd stuck with Rachel, but no.
Things settled down to a dull evening. Ashley felt ill from slop, or lack of slop/food in general (but more likely from slamming immunity boosts like juice replacements). Vince got Lauren and Morgan together in HOH again but it didn't go anywhere, nor did another lengthy Vince/Lauren gametalk, except for Vince saying Mickey would put up Katherine, and swearing Lauren to secrecy about that. Nine or so hours after hitting the block, Katherine finally made it up to HOH to confront Vince about it. She started by saying she's angry about being lied to, like last week, and Vince said the fact she's even willing to talk to him was very generous and "ingracious" of her, and shows "extreme emotional intelligence." (Ingracious actually means the opposite of gracious.) Vince said he also upset other people he cares about, like Lauren and Keanu, and he said "Keanu let me have it, understandably so." From there it went down the path nearly every gametalk does lately: Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, everything's Rachel's fault. Katherine said it's all been hard because she lost her mom recently along with a couple other family members, and Vince said he didn't know any of that. Katherine said "Rachel knew." Of course she did, because she's taken time to talk with Katherine (and all of them) personally and gotten to know them separate from the game, but Vince hasn't. Bad, evil, mean, villain Rachel.
Most of the later evening was group chats about general topics, which was a relief.

He came in with rumors that ranged from wildly exaggerated to false, and he did nothing to redeem himself. He threw a hinky vote to evict fellow brojock Zae at the first vote and he boasted he could win any comp, but he only won two. He had a hissy fit when his HOH was taken over by Mickey, and another when Rachel put him up as renom, but most of his frequent angry outbursts were released at Katherine, and then he was friendly to whoever he'd just cussed out. He told Katherine she's his girl and he's going to marry her, but he didn't ask her thoughts about that. He should be grateful AF for the omissions and positive edit they gave him. Good riddance.

He won the first move-in comp but then invaded Julie's personal space and her toss to commercial on the premiere, and a week later he bawled when fellow brojock Zae got the boot. He played the same interwoven alliances game as Vince, including multiple alliances with Vince, but he got away with it longer, until he didn't. Morgan liked him but he liked Lauren, and Ashley thought he liked her but he didn't. He had the face, body, smile, charm of a champ but he self-hyped those qualities too much, making him unattractive. He had a secret veto that could have saved him but he didn't use it, so Julie whacked him with her cards.

He was the 2nd HOH but like Vince the prior week, he was over-allied and self-painted into a corner, so he put up his bestie Rachel's bestie Amy as renom pawn, and off she went. He worked hard at being sassy and campy, especially to and with Rachel, but she pulls it off without even trying and his comedy usually felt more performative than entertaining. But at least he put in an effort, which is more than most of them this year. His dress-up noms were almost as cringe as Todrick's, and that was magnified by his resentment when he hit the block a couple weeks later. He was a good sidekick for Rachel and liked by most of them.

Won: BBBB Week 1
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1/0 - HN 0
Adrian Rocha - 23 24
Instagram
Single - fan applicant
Carpenter San Antonio, TX
3rd evicted - Day 24
His pre-season stuff was wild, with his homemade wall comp and boisterous personality, but that guy didn't show up, maybe due to the syndrome of everyone being center-of-attention types and there just isn't enough limelight for everyone. His comp skills were good and he would have been a better choice for Rachel's protegé than Keanu but they had zero rapport, and Adrian's social game was absent with almost everyone. He had his moments with his emotional support bread and issues with doors, but he harped about honesty and loyalty too much so maybe this just wasn't the show for him. But he's a good guy and I wish him well.

Won: Day 1 accomplice
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1/0 - HN 1
Amy Bingham - 43
Instagram
Single, 3 kids - fan applicant, prior callback, casual feedster
Insurance agent Stockton, CA
2nd evicted - Day 17
She didn't do as much as some in the 'older woman' casting slot before her, but she got away with being the move-in Accomplice by doing a few tasks without being caught. She and Rachel bonded quickly and tightly as fellow moms, but their closeness made a target of Amy and she got the boot to weaken Rachel's game. She was generally liked in there, and she cried a lot but she handled slop well. She got out by the July 31 deadline to get her job of 20 years back, if she wants it.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0
Isaiah "Zae" Frederich - 23
Instagram
Single - applied for TAR
Salesperson Provo, UT Phoenix, AZ (orig Paducah, KY)
1st evicted - Day 10
It's nice to get a brojock out early, especially first, and between constantly exhibiting his muscles and his smarts, he didn't do much to help prevent that. He didn't lay down to die when he hit the block so that's something, but he campaigned repetitively and relentlessly, holding voters hostage for hours at a time and talking 100 mph at them without pausing for breath. He landed himself on TMZ and tangled with Rachel, and that's about all he'll be remembered for.

THE REAL SHOW IS THE FEEDS

GAME TWISTS
Day 1: Rachel joined the cast and the game.
Day 1: Amy was a secret accomplice. She wasn't identified by a majority of players (or any of them) so remained in the game.
Day 1: Zach won BB Buy-off in Find Julie move-in comp. He got $10k, but if he's on the block at the end of veto meeting any week before jury, he can buy safety. HOH will get the $10k and have to name another nominee.
> Unused, he went home with the $10k
Day 1: Rachel had first week immunity and automatic Have-not. The other HNs (Ava, Will, Zach, selected by safety chain) also had immunity.
Weeks 1 thru ?: HOH picked three nominees, and veto renom if applicable. The three competed live in BB Block Buster before the vote, and the winner came off the block.
Day 10: Keanu won Mystery Competitor in HOH comp: an alum will play veto on his behalf if he's on the block, before jury.
> Used Day 12: Kaycee played for him, and won.
Day 10: Kelley won Mystery Veto in HOH comp: can play an individual challenge to win a second veto to save herself or someone else on the block, before jury.
> Used Day 14: won her challenge and took herself off the block.
Day 10: Mickey won HOH Interrogation in HOH comp: can anonymously dethrone reigning HOH, who can interrogate everyone and make an official guess who did it. If correct, they're back to HOH and if not, she reveals herself and becomes HOH, before jury.
> Used Day 24/25: took over Rylie's HOH.

BB27 finalist prizes are likely the same: $750k for the winner, $75k for 2nd place, and probably still $10k for 3rd, $7.5k for 4th, $5k for 5th. Stipend is probably still $1k per week for all except finalists, including pre-season sequester. Stuntcasts may get more.
The habitat has 112 HD cameras (up 18) and 113 microphones (no change).
The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only senior staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
