Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 61 - Saturday - September 14, 2024

Morning came early in Jankie World, partly from sunshine and partly because they're usually up early on a Saturday anyway to draw veto players. Angela, Chelsie, T'kor will play today along with Leah, Kimo, Rubina, and Cam will host. Kimo perked up again this morning after blanketing last night, and they sang Happy Birthday to him even though his birthday isn't til Tuesday. All of them were perkier than they were yesterday but that could have been veto anticipation, and they might go back to boredom and ennui later. I was surprised and pleased to learn the coin-op mechanical horsie rides are functional. Cam took a ride saying it was relaxing, and that there was "no pressure on his netherloins." He named the horsie Ghost Pepper. Later Kimo also took a ride and renamed it Steve.

Feeds were down from around noon until a little after 2pm for the veto comp. There was a ball of confusion for some time as Leah was wearing a janky veto necklace so most of us assumed she'd won. But no. It turned out Angela won the actual veto. It sounds like Leah has to decide whether to use hers or not first, before Angela's regular veto, but there may be a task or random chance something: they don't know yet. Today was a puzzle comp and that's all I got on that. (They should have used the booth games if you ask me, since so many veto comps are loose interpretations of them anyway, but they didn't ask me.) Jankie kept the hamsters busy for some time afterwards with mandatory ice cream parties, pizza parties, dance parties, and singalongs. There was zero gametalk all afternoon, but most of them adopted stuffed animals, and they talked and danced them between the party signals, and then they started bringing them to the parties.

Feeds leaked a quick peek inside to show the middle-sized table had been delivered, but none of the final eight could use it yet, obviously. Kimo wrote another BB26 song with help from the rest of them, and a few gametalks started up in pairs eventually. T'kor and Rubina sat down to discuss scenarios of what might happen as everyone else napped, and T'kor and Chelsie talked anti-Angela, but that's irrevelant this week other than Angela keeps them irritated. Later everyone sang Happy Birthday to Angela's grandchild Levi who turns four years old today.

They did some more parties-on-command and socialized here and there before starting to drop one by one. Leah and Kimo talked general topics plus silliness for an hour or so, which might have been subtle campaigning on his part, or he might have just been talking general topics plus silliness, it's hard to say. All were asleep by 10.30pm except T'kor, who sat up on her cot for awhile, thinking. Around 11.30pm they were all up again for another pizza party and dance party. T'kor told Rubina they might need to let Kimo go this week, and move forward with the all-women final six plan. One-on-ones about the veto(s) could happen tomorrow.

Day 62 - Sunday - September 15, 2024

The new day in Jankie World brought some early morning light rain/drizzle. They had theme park type plastic ponchos, and luckily it didn't last long. They had their morning pizza, Cam rode his horsie ride, Leah wore her toy tiara, and they sat around talking general conversation all morning, with lots of airplane noise, fishies, and no gametalk. Makensy said she'd do a water cleanse today because of all the junk food (hunger strike?). She laid on Leah's lap for awhile, and later Chelsie curled up next to Leah. Whether those were passive, subtle, or janky campaign strategies or just hanging out, I don't know. It came out that Leah got the janky veto for coming in second in the veto comp. Chelsie started taking duckies out of the pool and tossing them into a pile, then upped that project by scooping them out in mass quantities with one of the floaties. Some out here thought she was counting them but the scooping would have messed that up. Anyway I think Chelsie counted most of the Jankie World items the first day, and she did it far more subtly than this.

Leah announced she'd hold meetings with anyone who wanted one, and they all agreed to do that later when the shadows hit the yard. But they realized it was cool enough on the balcony so Kimo met with her first. Shocker, I know. He laid out the script T'kor gave him well, saying he wasn't a threat, he wants to stay, and he can be good for Leah's game. Leah said she was still undecided about what she'll do, but said she felt she can mend things with him and Rubina after nominating then, while that might not be the case with some others. Names were eventually named and tied together as a trio: Chelsie, Cam, Makensy. Leah said Chelsie and Cam lied to her and Quinn last week, and also that she'd heard she'd been a renom option for both Chelsie's and T'kor's HOH weeks, and she implied she felt safer with T'kor than Chelsie. Kimo joined Makensy in referring to mental comps as "intellectual comps." (This as they're living inside a carnival with mandatory song and dance parties: there is nothing intellectual about this show.) Another meeting came along a few hours later: Kimo again(!) met with Angela, who heavily implied she'll be using her veto to save him.

They got a delivery of cupcakes, soda, and juice for Kimo's birthday (Tuesday) along with a janky birthday card written in crayon, and they all toasted to him with soda. One-on-ones picked up again in the evening with both Angela and Leah. Cam told Leah he thinks Chelsie/Makensy/Leah are a trio that he's outside of, Chelsie and Leah agreed T'kor is dangerous and could win the game if she gets there, Leah said she'd like an F3 with Chelsie/Makensy, and Angela said she'd like an F5 with Cam/Chelsie/Leah/Makensy. Angela and Leah finally met, most of which was during the episode, but it sounded like the preliminary plan is for Angela to use her veto on Kimo, Leah would put up T'kor in his place, and she wouldn't use her janky veto. That isn't set in stone yet though. Several one-on-ones were held on the floor inside the KNOCK EM DOWN booth. It's a comedy show.

Leah and T'kor finally met in the KNOCK EM DOWN booth and Leah strongly hinted T'kor might go up as renom "if" Angela uses her veto, but assured her she didn't see any way T'kor would be evicted if that happens. T'kor didn't say much at all, aside from her usual "mm-hmm." Leah and Angela then met again, and Leah was second-guessing Angela using her veto. They went back and forth, and rehashed prior weeks, and ended up back where they started, with Angela planning to use her veto on Kimo, and Leah putting up T'kor as renom. If Leah has any plans she's keeping to herself about her janky veto, we'll find out eventually, likely after tomorrow's veto meeting. Angela said she was "reminded and asked" [by Diary] if the two of them had named their F2, and she said she told them "we don't need a silly name." But we know the show likes their hamsters to name their alliances, so they agreed on the Lorraines, their shared middle name. Kimo, Rubina, T'kor commiserated about their looming predicament, and cried, and laughed, and were joined by Chelsie and Makensy for a five-way cuddle huddle before everyone was called to the dance floor for a few more rounds of Jankie Dance Party.

I'm in the extremely tiny minority that doesn't mind Jankie World week. That's mostly because we're 60+ days in, I'm tired, and I'm appreciating the break from constant gametalk loops that go nowhere. Most of the fanbase is taking up pitchforks and torches and getting ready to storm the compound, but I'm just over here in my corner, with my popcorn, watching it all burn.

Won: 1000 orb pickup & decontamination

I may not be the smartest one here but I really really really want to be here guys and guess what? I STILL AM! I might have a shot at winning. Who am I kidding? I've got the best shot! I've won more comps than anyone and when I don't win comps it's sad, but I get saved anyway! I love each of these people so much, they're all special to me and we're going on trips together later! I'm going to have a talk with Chuck first.

I'm just cruising along, just being Cam, not ruffling anyone's feathers, and nobody sees me as a threat so let me sing a song and remind them how fun I am to have around. Horses are relaxing. Maybe I'll buy one when I win this show. Yeah, that'll be good content for my social media empire. Shoutout my dawgs at the crib.

I'm the smartest one here. In fact, I'm so smart, nobody knows how smart I am so I'm going to win! I've got Cam in one pocket and Makensy in the other, and Leah and Angela will do whatever I want. AND I got Cam to start wearing socks and lotion his feet so he doesn't get my pocket all gross and nasty. Amen.

I really want to be here and guess what? I still am! Nobody votes me out but I still don't like going on the block every week. I've wanted to play this game all my life and someday I'll start playing it. But first (that's a Julie joke, get it?) I'm going to burp, and then I'm going to sing a song. I love it here.

SUNDAY UPDATE I played today! I told Angela and Leah exactly what T'kor told me to. How did I do?

I'm the smartest one here. In fact, I'm so smart, everybody knows how smart I am because I keep telling them! I won the jankiest HOH ever but I got some Barbies and like I'm literally a girl so that's perfect. I could shake things up this week and maybe I will but like I'm not going to tell anyone what I'm going to do before I do it because that's now how I do things in my life and I'm not going to be any different here than in my life.

I just really love everyone but especially Tucker, and especially T'kor. I'd give up my game for her. I love Kimo too. We have so much fun together! I love it here. Wait, I'm on the block! Oh well, that's okay. Let's dance.

I'm the smartest one here and everyone knows it, but everyone pretends they don't. I love Kimo and Rubina but they keep going on the block and that makes it so hard for me. I wish they'd win something, and talk to people, and pull their weight. I'm going to win but they're making it hard for me to get to the end. I need to talk to them about it, and I need to talk to the HOH. I don't want to talk to Angela though. And she's not getting my number after this.

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1/1 - HN 1

Quinn Martin - 25
Twitter - Instagram
Single - fan applicant/RHAP listener
Nurse recruiter
Omaha, NE (orig Lawton, OK)

1st juror - 8th evicted - Day 59

He was a different kind of superfan, having seen episodes and RHAP podcasts, but no feeds. He got the best power this show's ever handed out on Day 2, but blabbed it to two people, so by the time he used it everyone knew and the fun was spoiled. That week he put his ally Cedric on the block and he went home, and later he put his ally Joseph on the block, and he went home. But he was allied with nearly everyone at some point, with F2s all over town, and he blew up alliances like it was a hobby. He continually thought he had everyone in his pocket, unaware his pocket had a huge gaping hole and couldn't hold anything. He shouted in Diary but was light and fun much of the time, even when his game was tanking, so props for that. He fell hard for Leah and made 'googleah' eyes at her, and his 'sick nasty' speech to her was instant inspiration for a million memes.

Won: 24 hours solitary

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 1

Joseph Rodriguez - 30 31
Instagram
Single - fan applicant/feedster
Video store clerk
Tampa, FL

7th evicted - Day 52

He brought a lot of unintentional comedy as he deluded himself about his power and influence, and he proclaimed himself 'star of the show' in one solo talk to himself/us. To his credit, his intentional comedy was every bit as good, although his dry sense of humor wasn't appreciated by some. He had a BB birthday that helped him settle in better socially, and he became the eighth hamster to get 24 hours in solitary. Three of those won their seasons but not this time. Joseph had extra chatty, holographic mini-Matt for company, and he said later he used his toilet tent for extracurricular purposes. He apologized to Angela after being brutally honest about her game, and he acknowledged he had some self-work to do about his 'mean streak.' I'll miss him, and wish him nothing but the best. Props to his siblings and friends for running the best hamster-adjacent socials we've ever seen.

Won: $20,000; Weeks 2 & 3 AI Arena; 1 week AI Assist; Week 6 AI Instigator

HOH 1 - Veto 3 - Noms 2/0/2 - HN 1

Tucker Des Lauriers - 30
Twitter - Instagram
Single - recruit
Marketing and sales exec
Brooklyn, NY (orig Boston, MA)

6th evicted - Day 45

He demolished two AI Arenas and was the first pre-juror to win three vetos in a row(!), along with an HOH. All that plus his boasting made him most everyone's target but he seemed to relish that spot (along with puzzles and biscuits). He was a welcome change from the usual 'comp beast' type, often showing compassion and empathy, and shedding tears over missing his min pin Ziggi. He fell in love with Rubina, and was often loud, sometimes obnoxious, frequently funny, and he usually owned whatever room he was in, including Diary. His gameplay was reckless and unpredictable, nearly always leaving chaos in his wake. He was that extremely rare breed of hamster: a hard gamer, often a good one (sometimes horrible), while being entertaining. He will be missed.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

Brooklyn Rivera - 34
Twitter - Instagram
Married with kids - fan applicant
Business administrator
Dallas, TX (orig Covington, GA)

5th evicted - Day 38

She brought us a number of classic shockfaces for various blindsides, and she said 'this doesn't quite feel like Big Brother' when she was on the block and on her way out. I beg to differ. She confessed her sports dancer secret to Quinn (who told several), her Mrs America secret to Chelsie (who didn't), but I don't think she told anyone she's friends with Aaryn. Thanks to Cam, she provided a fun Michael Jackson side game out here for her last couple weeks. She never tired of saying she wanted a married mother to win this season, so I guess we can assume she'll be rooting from home for Angela.

Won: Week 1 mascot/can't compete or vote

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

Cedric Hodges - 21
Twitter - Instagram
Single - recruit
Former Marine
Boise, ID (orig Running Springs, CA)

4th evicted - Day 31

He prepped by watching analysis clips and didn't see any full seasons so he had an unusual balance of BB lore and knowledge. He was a good sport about being sidelined Week 1 and he used that time well, becoming well-liked by all of them. 'Young Cedric' was an ongoing, evolving skit and his own elaborate life stories usually had them and us in stitches. Between expecting volunteers for the block and painting himself into a no-win corner between his various alliances, his HOH was a disaster. Then he volunteered to be a pawn the following week and learned the meaning of 'pawns go home.' He was funny, genuine, wise and mature beyond his years, and he'll be missed.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/0/0 - HN 0

Kenney Kelley - 52
Instagram
Married with kids - fan applicant
Former undercover cop
Boston, MA

3rd evicted - Day 24

He adopted Matt and lost him fast, then he won a veto, and the rest of the time he said he wanted to quit. He rallied a bit at the end when he teamed up with Cedric and Tucker, adding Cam when he walked in on them, but that got blown up immediately. He mostly sat by himself and shouted out his family, or he complained to others about missing them, so they sent him back to them.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 1

Lisa Weintraub - 33
Twitter - Twitter 2 - Instagram - Instagram 2
Single - recruit?
Celebrity chef
Los Angeles, CA

2nd evicted - Day 17

She's a legit chef/caterer and ran that into the ground, along with sprinkling edible glitter on everyone's food whether they wanted it or not. Tucker's rants about her were an early highlight, and she crumbled after Angela mocked her walk and called her a twit. Props for winning the first veto (rare for a woman), but she wasn't cut out for this setting. Most of that was simply being a bad roommate: she made (and wasted) food they didn't want, dabbed non-consensual essential oil on her roomies' pillows, propped filthy feet on food surfaces, and she never tired of telling everyone what a special and unique person she was.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

Matt Hardeman - 25
Single - recruit?
Twitter - Instagram
Tech sales rep
Roswell, GA (orig Loganvilla, GA)

1st evicted - Day 10

He filled the pretty boy/brojock casting slot perfectly but didn't like Angela pointing that out openly and immediately. He was adamant about not being 'that guy' and to his credit, he did talk a lot against toxic masculinity. He cried after Angela yelled at him, but went out in high spirits with ginormous smiles for Julie.

Won: Control of the game

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 0

Ainsley/AInsley - 24
Surf shop worker
San Diego, CA

She lost two votes to join as #17 so reverted to her robotic persona aka Artificial Intelligence Network Self-Learning Entity, and became a comp host.

GAME TWISTS

-First and second move-in groups of eight voted against letting Ainsley join as 17th player, and each group played comps based on their votes.

-Losers Cedric, Chelsie were Week 1 mascots: couldn't compete for HOH or veto, couldn't vote, could be nominated.

-Makensy won America's Veto: once in first four weeks, she can remove someone from the block and viewers will instant-vote the replacement. She used it Week 3 after she went up as veto renom.

-Quinn won Deep Fake HOH: once in first four weeks, the HOH's AI avatar will announce noms Quinn secretly picked, and he can spread misinfo and rumors via that fake avatar. He used it Week 4 to take over Angela's 2nd HOH (everyone knew about it).

-Weeks 1 thru 7: HOH picked three nominees, and veto renom if applicable. The three competed live in AI Arena before the vote, and the winner came off the block.

-Week 6: Viewer vote to pick someone for AI Instigator (Tucker), who could spread rumors via others' AI avatars. A second vote determined how much cash he won ($20k).

-Week 9: Jankie World: everyone lived outside in a carnival setting, with carnival food.
