And she wondered if Jag and Matt were telling Bowie she was solid with them, like they've been telling Cirie and Felicia (yes). Cirie told her to "tread lightly" and Felicia said she would, but Bowie had to do her turn sitting on the block like they'd had to. Jag pre-empted that chat by telling Matt if they win HOH, they'll get pressure to put up Bowie. Matt said he'd tell Felicia she needs to be a pawn because Bowie would freak out. (Good luck with that, if it comes to pass.) Later Felicia told Cirie she'll say if they aren't willing to say they aren't putting up her and Cirie, she'll vote to keep Cory. Cirie gave Cory a goodbye hug in the pantry, and he told her it was awesome to see her there when he first rejoined the group on move-in night from Nether world. Cory wondered to America what Julie would ask him besides the showmance question, and America said "this is normally where I'd show you your goodbye messages, but.." and Cameron would walk out in his zombie suit. Cory said "nooooo!" The show kicked off with the veto meeting blindside and some aftermath, and it included some of Cirie's superhero tasks and some expected flip-the-vote misdirection. But Cory was evicted unanimously as expected, and as part of his QA Julie asked him to explain his physical/style transformation of these past 79 days. Julie told them Comic Week was over and so was Cirie's superhero task, and she told us next week will be a double eviction. The HOH comp was not started on the show but we saw a room with a skeleton dental office setup and a lot of detail items laying around, presumably for the HOH comp. Julie said "if the houseguests want to rise to power they'll have to face the Scaryverse's Johnny Mac, demented dentist." Feeds didn't come back til 10.35pm and Jag had won the HOH comp. Again. It was a new comp that had them running between three rooms named A, B, C (the skeleton dental office has a visible C card), and it involved matching or memorizing details, along with names and/or faces of prior season hamsters. Several said it was fun, and also difficult. Apparently Cirie finished second. Cirie told Felicia they had to get their pitches aligned, and they talked again about Bowie not having hit the block yet, and Felicia started up again with suspicions that Jag and Matt were working more with Bowie than with them. Jag told Matt and Bowie "there's two options: America and Blue, or America and Felicia." America seemed to be the target still, but we know how Jag tends to change target horses mid-stream so we'll see how it unfolds. And yes there should have been a requirement that the invisible HOH wasn't able to win this one. Recall that Claire was required to throw the HOH comp after she won the Coin of Destiny HOH overthrow in S23. And if this one was individually timed, there wouldn't even need to be a ruse about that. But here we are, it is what it is, etc. America didn't dwell in widowhood: she was animated and chirpy as she chatted with various others. I'll catch up Jag's HOH room tomorrow. I imagine he'll get at least one pic of his sister's wedding he missed, so that'll probably bring some emotional moments, if so. SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box! And/or to watch prior BB USA, Canada, Australia seasons, plus a ton of other shows and movies as well. Day 80 - Friday - October 20, 2023 Jag got his room around 1.15am with the usual huge assortment of snacks and treats, clothes and socks. He was pleased to find a lot of his food items were authentic Indian goods, and he did indeed get a pic from his sister's wedding with Jag attending as a cardboard cutout. He read his letter from his mom and dad, and everyone was happy for him. Or at least acted like they were? Nah, they were probably pleased for him.. it's the fandom that's pressed that he got to compete in the first place. America continued being chirpy and perky, and she retold the Cory convo she'd told several of them last night about Cory saying he "like liked" her yesterday, and that he'd eventually said he loved her. She said she'd included the L word in her farewell message to him (but that part wasn't on the show's edit of her farewell). Cirie had a Mecole-style pantry rant about being annoyed with the rest of them being loud, and being fake, and being nosey. She gathered ingredients to make something to eat and said in a sing-song voice "what are you making?" followed by "none of your fuckin business, how 'bout that, omg!" She is us.. some of us anyway. Jag spent an eternity in Diary before holding his meetings, which finally started a little after noon. He told Felicia his target was America, and he didn't want to put anyone else on the block he hadn't already after last week's (un)invisible blood. He said that could mean her or Blue but stressed he wanted Felicia to stay in the game. Both expressed loyalty to their F4 with Matt and Cirie, Felicia said she felt a spiritual connection with him even though they practice different religions, and then he said he's not nominating her so it would probably be Blue, and he asked Felicia to reassure Blue that she isn't his target. Next was Bowie and Jag told her he was putting up Blue and America, and he said Felicia pitched Bowie as an option and that he'd played that like he and Bowie weren't close. Then he said his real target was Blue and only Bowie and Matt knew that, so it might be better if America comes off the block and final noms are Blue and Felicia. Cirie was next and she shmoozed Jag about his win, his pics, his family, and generally made things about him (which nobody else did). They also reconfirmed their F4 with Matt and Felicia, and Jag told her his "ultimate goal is getting Blue out" but he'd tell Blue the target was America. Next was America, who said she wasn't the only one who'd target Jag and Matt, and said she didn't want to go this week. She said she wouldn't put up Jag or Matt as original or renom in the double, and would use veto on them, and vote for them, and advocate for them, and she said she'd only made one other deal before now, which was with Cameron in Pressure Cooker. Jag said "it's gonna look really suss if I don't put you on the block" and she said "okay." He said "you don't have to be my target, that's the good part" and he said he'd do everything on his power to ensure she has the votes to stay, and he'd throw the veto to her if possible. And she said her offers for the double still stood. Matt's meeting was basically Jag retelling his other other meetings, and finally he met with Blue, who hid in his bed when he stepped out of the room. He told her America's his and everyone's target, and he didn't want extra blood on his hands, and he needed her to play for veto. She seemed to accept it well, and when Jag asked if she wanted him to put her up first or second, she said first. Both said they felt good with Cirie and trusted her game-wise. Meanwhile Cirie tried to convince Felicia if Blue goes up as an original nom, she was the real target, without saying Jag had confirmed that. Blue told Cirie she's actually a brand strategist and not a Tiktok influencer. Jag nominated America and Blue, as planned. Apparently he used the speech he worked up with Blue, and told Matt earlier: "America, you made it publicly clear you're gunning for me, the right thing for me is to gun after you as well, this Aston Moron just clipped your wings.. and Blue, America wants trouble, let's make it double." He asked Matt if it was too mean, and Matt said no, it was funny. And they went into who to pick to play, and the now-required "what if it's slip and slide?" Felicia and Cirie talked about the guys being unwilling to put up Bowie, and why it would matter if it was now or later if Bowie was really the next in line to go home. Bowie, Blue, Jag made dinner plans which kicked off from Bowie making minestrone/combination soup, and evolved into tandoori chicken utilizing some spices from Jag's HOH stuff, but then backslid to chicken tenders and potato salad. Felicia ended up making the chicken tenders but no potato salad, and everyone ate together in HOH room. Things were very calm and quiet, so I think I'm going to take the evening off. It's been a long 80 days, and it's time for a break. SUBSCRIBE to my Patreon to get these daily recaps in your email box! And one-time donations of any amount can be made anytime at Ko-fi.
