Mecole will host, and Bowie was picked by Jag for the next trip to Netherland. Whispering raged all over town about plans and speculation depending who wins, as always. I don't follow those closely at this stage because it'll all happen again after the comp, and it often changes. But one interesting angle was Hisam telling Cirie and Izzy that he'd prefer Matt to go up and out rather than Cameron if Reilly comes off, and Cirie and Izzy want Cameron gone. Izzy's anti-Cameron stance is personal (and loud, but can be overruled), but Cirie wants him gone for strategic reasons. So if that scenario unfolds, there could be a power struggle among the Professors. Jared ended up sleeping in Cory's bed, as he bunked with Jag. Jared continued being the busiest getaround guy, holding multiple lengthy one-on-one gametalks, but Jag and Cory were especially busy today as well. Cameron decided that Felicia is Denzel Washington's sister, and hilarity ensued as that got spread around. America, a feedster, told Cirie and Izzy that individually timed veto comps take up to six or seven hours. Cirie said "WHAT?!"Feeds went to adoptable anipals at 2.22pm and hadn't come back as of 1am when I gave up. I'll catch up whatever happened tomorrow. And/or to watch prior BB USA, Canada, Australia seasons, plus a ton of other shows and movies as well. Day 12 - Sunday - August 13, 2023Feeds finally returned at 9.17am, after 19 hours. Hamsters were having a typical Sunday morning with breakfast, hanging around outside, and mostly relaxed chatter. Hisam had won his second veto, and Bowie was back from Netherland. There was talk about Mecole having had a very long hosting day, and also talk about Reilly being in Diary til 3.30am, and coming out to snoring sleepers. There was no talk (or credible source info) as to why feeds were down so long. Veto and vote chat kicked off in various corners, including Cameron telling Cory he'll work to stay but won't campaign negatively against Reilly, and Cory said he figured Hisam will call everyone in for meetings and tell them his plan, adding "it'll all play itself out." (Coryspeak translation: someone's going home and it's not him.) America suggested to Reilly she "offer something up" as incentive to get votes - a good suggestion that many hamster nominees don't think of trying. Jag told a funny story about growing up with vegetarian meals. He and his brother assumed that was for religious purposes, but eventually found out it wasn't.Hisam had been talking about wanting Matt gone rather than Reilly or Cameron, but preliminary post-veto convos indicated he likely won't change the noms, and Cirie assured Reilly he wouldn't use his veto. Felicia told Hisam she kind of promised Reilly her vote (if Reilly ended up on the block) in exchange for Reilly guaranteeing Felicia safety last week, despite not taking her off the block. Felicia told Hisam she'd like to maintain her integrity on that, but she doesn't want Reilly to stay and she said she's willing to do what Hisam wants as HOH. Hisam said if Felicia voted against Cameron it would distance him from her, and he added stray votes never stay undetected. (That's usually true, but definitely not always.) Blue plus Jag told Hisam they somehow got thrown onto the wrong side last week, and Blue implied the three of them were now a team. Hisam said he's aware of the implications and wants to have people on his side since he can't play for HOH next week. Cory told Cirie that Reilly was telling people she has Cirie's vote, but not to tell anyone. Cirie said she figured the only votes to evict Reilly would be Blue, Jag, and maybe Matt. Izzy asked America directly if she's voting out Reilly, and America replied she wasn't locked in, but she's thinking about it. Jag talked with Cirie about the vote, and the possibility of blindsiding Hisam by keeping Reilly. Cirie said Reilly already telling people about having her vote had raised red flags, and it would be a big leap to attempt a blindside plan with that kind of run-and-tell happening. (I suspect this is Cirie's legendary skills displaying themselves, since she wants to keep Reilly anyway - rather, she wants Cameron gone.) Bottom line though, a blindside planned on Sunday has virtually no chance of staying secret until Thursday. Cory and Jared discussed scenarios to get rid of Hisam, and who'd be best to do it. Actually Cory did most of that talking, and Jared let him. Comedy came along when Cory explained to Jared what a legend Cirie is in Survivor. And he added he currently trusts her second, after Jared. Jared and Izzy met while everyone else enjoyed Felicia's lambchops. He told her to stop underestimating people, and they both agreed Cirie needed to slow her roll. Jared said he can tell when she's losing her patience, and they pointed out Survivor would be almost half over at this point, but they've barely started. Jag told Reilly that Cirie might be wavering on her vote which confused Reilly who said "but she gave me her word." Professors had a meeting/party in HOH and shared Hisam's rosé. Well, it was more of a meeting than party, as Hisam laid out guidelines for going forward in his calm voice, saying he was proud of them, and the other side was going to start scrambling and trying to pull them in. Cirie said they already were, and that Jag had talked her ear off all day, and he and Blue had pitched a trio to her. They agreed to not form any new named alliances outside of their seven, and Hisam said he had to step back from winning comps but he trusted them to pick up that baton (leaving the backdoor wide open for his own eventual demise). And he said they should all study in pairs throughout the day as everyone's hanging out. Afterwards, Izzy told Cirie that Bowie makes her nervous, and then she ranted that Hisam is "very scary right now, he's on a tear the way he's talking, he doesn't even let Bowie or Meme finish talking." Cirie said he was doing exactly what Reilly did. Felicia joined and Izzy kept going, including "he's using the language of inclusivity and trust and integrity as a weapon!" A valid point. The selfie camera came out and they did some silly skits, like they do, so the show will have some new fluff to post to their socials. Felicia told Cirie the two of them are the bookends: "we're going from the Professors to the Bye Bye Bitches to the Brown Sugar Babes to the Bookends!" She said she dreamt about finale night before moving in, and she said "don't underestimate me, I'll laugh and play with your ass all day long but fuck you!" Both of them laughed but Cirie didn't actively participate beyond that, since she already has the most solid of F2s with Jared. This pic is Bowie, just in case you've heard her name but didn't know who she was, since she's barely there. Nobody else has gone to Netherland since her return, that I'm aware of. Hisam talked at America for awhile, trying to lure her in (he'd said in his meeting she'd be great at endurance), and pushing his anti-Reilly agenda. Reilly and Cameron moved on for a minute, talking about getting followers, being public figures and getting verified, and doing other shows. But it was short-lived, Reilly went back to griping about Hisam getting his way this week (like she got hers last week). Cory had a long talk to himself/us, showing a good read of everyone and the game, except he doesn't seem to know about Jared and Cirie.
