And she had an interesting talk with Drew. A day or three ago she'd told us she didn't want to reward his game since he played for the vets and not himself, but last night she coached Drew on his speech, if he's up against Devens. She urged him to own his game and admit his dirty dealings to the jury, saying Devens is a wolf in sheep's clothing which people don't respect, adding "so own your wolf, just be a wolf." So it seems she may have switched her jury vote to Drew, if she has one, whether as a result of hearing something Devens said or just catching his nastier vibe this week, who knows. The backyard was still open on this last full day of feeds, which was nice for them. Devens studied aloud on the balcony and it sounds like he's got a better handle on season events now than he did, but I think Taylor's better with the type of juror trivia that's likely to be Part 3. They packed today, finally about to wrap up their long summer adventure. Taylor started her hair processes. Feeds went to adoptable anipals a couple times for short periods in the afternoon, and then they went for three and a half hours. They'd been shown some videos from the season and Taylor's hair was finished after multiple processes, and she looked great. Taylor gave Devens a pitch saying the two of them are going to finish first and third one way or the other, so why not take each other and each of them get some money? And she said Devens might need Drew to be his fourth vote to win. When she left, Devens put his hands to his temples and said "got my head spinning now, dang." She then told us the various steps she'd done on her hair, most of which were behind the anipals. She goofed to us about it, saying she looks like a different person, and "live feeds, do you like it?" and "y'all didn't know my hair's so long, did you? It's all me, it's all mine, 'cause I bought it." Taylor gave Drew a hair touchup, and he ran his over-long speech some more, with a lot of emphasis on how winning BB is his dream. That might not go over so well with all the others who had the same dream. They got takeout delivered for their last supper, Dave's Hot Chicken at Drew's suggestion, which came with six hard seltzers. They ate together in the backyard. If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. Day 85 - Tuesday - September 29, 2026 Midnight brought Taylor's birthday and she did a little celebration with Devens and Drew, and then with us. The guys offered to make her banana pudding with vanilla wafers (as she requested in lieu of cake) but all three acknowledged they might mess it up. Earlier Devens had wondered with Drew how much to do for her birthday, saying he wants to be nice but overdoing it might upset her, so they planned on stringing up kitchen streamers this morning as a surprise, which they finally did. After wakeup this morning, Taylor put on a tiny party hat and took a muffin back to her bunk pod to make a wish, using her finger as a candle. Drew and Devens spent their now-usual day by rehashing, marvelling that it's almost over, wondering about finals and jury votes, and bashing Taylor. Drew's been leading most of that lately, with Devens sometimes joining in and agreeing, and sometimes pushing back a little. Regardless, Drew put up streamers with some help from Devens, in a different way than we've seen those done before. They ran a cat's cradle over the bathroom hallway, and hung down individual streamer strands in front of the STANDBY date generator. Shortly after they criticized Taylor for not spending her entire birthday in the open, she came out to find the decorations and was pleased, and she thanked them. The day dragged on with naps and speeches, gossip and gags. Taylor made good progress on the multi-hour marathon job of taking her braids out, but I don't think she ever made her birthday banana pudding. Devens was challenged by Drew to eat a banana since he hates them and hasn't had one in a number of years. He did, and he didn't like it, but he said it wasn't as bad as he expected. If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. Day 84 - Monday - September 28, 2026 Drew started yard-walking early, telling us he thinks Taylor being so open about cutting Devens if she wins Part 3 is bothering Devens, which in turn is good for Drew. He and Devens then set themselves a task this morning to walk a half marathon (13 miles) in the yard before Taylor got up. She did get up, but went back to bed. They did some of their usual rehashes as they walked, and wondered about Part 3, and they stayed bashing Taylor obsessively. It's beyond tedious at this point, as another Groundhog Day rages on. It turned out they did in fact get a small booze delivery last night, so I've added that to the tally. The rest of the day was napping, more walking, some bags, some pool, some studying, more napping, and more rehashing. Devens made cheeseburgers and Drew made fries but they didn't work so well. That's all I got.If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading the site, following me on Bluesky, and supporting me on Patreon or Ko-fi! Day 83 - Sunday - September 27, 2026 Devens' morning coffee visit to the backyard balcony gave us a view of the back wall mountain mural we don't often see. There's a lot of nice decor high on both outside and inside walls that we rarely see on either the feeds or the shows. Drew joined Devens this morning and launched right back into season rehashes, now with some hypotheticals included, like what would have happened if X won a certain veto instead of Y? Devens finally said "yeah, at this point it's like well, we got here." Drew also said he thinks Angela and Dee were always secretly plotting against Crossovers, and Dee was never excited when he won a comp. I think he truly doesn't know Dee was actively plotting against him for much of the game. They got the selfie phone, and Drew and Devens did the now-traditional but highly annoying screaming and shouting about that. Drew said "but we only have two people." He taped a lot of lines and skits, some with Devens, but he eventually took it into Taylor's room to include her. Like the last few years, the memories/clips show wasn't bad. They got a nice spread for their meal that was laid out on the giant table since they never got their cozy, tiny table. The show included the day they all spontaneously dressed alike in black tees and jorts which was a lot of fun, as well as Mallory's dramatic plane rides, Yash's quotes, and another fight on the tally, this one from the jury house. And they started Part 1 which was indeed rolly-log balancing themed on Ben Franklin flying his kite in a thunderstorm. They could have had them holding keys for that for a time machine throwback that would also fit the theme beautifully, but no. Feeds-wise things remained quiet with mostly friendly chatter, and several hours of all three of them on the outdoors balcony including a lengthy sunset, followed by more chat and more rehashing at the hot tub. Drew said at one point "it's kind of messed up they didn't give you guys [the vets] any sort of leeway" like the three to four weeks some prior vets got. Taylor piped right up with multiple truth bombs like "they got fuckin powers," "and they got the first HOH [which gave them] pick of the litter" to choose who to work with, which led to their majority alliance. And she threw in that there was "a lot of elitism, privilege, and power." Facts, and that led to some tension that lasted a good while. Taylor's birthday basket was delivered, and I'm sure she'll have to make her own cake.If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading the site, following me on Bluesky, and supporting me on Patreon or Ko-fi! Day 82 - Saturday - September 26, 2026 The yard remained open, which isn't usually the case at this point, but there's a lot more dead days before finale than usual this time. Most convos are still season rehashes and replays, which are exhausting to me, so I'm usually not listening to them. We learned they did get brunch yesterday for their look-back segments, but they couldn't eat it? I don't know, but they nibbled at leftovers today. And it sounded like Part 2 involved slingshots, so maybe it was the one where they shoot at stand-up targets to answer questions, or maybe something more elaborate. Both Drew and Devens have remained cordial to Taylor, being chatty and friendly, and even pitching in for some cooking and cleanup here and there. There was less bashing her behind her back, but it's still there: Drew told Devens today "I'd gladly take second place to you but if I got second place to her, I'd be livid." Me, I would like to see it. Devens said he hopes to meet James Gunn, adding "I've been working hard on my shoutouts all season." Yep, we've noticed. All three of them know their respective plans: both Devens and Taylor will (probably) take Drew to finals. But Devens pitched to Taylor anyway, saying he isn't sure he can beat her, and he ran through prospective jury votes to make his point. Taylor said she'll think about it, but she muttered afterwards she didn't believe his vote tally. And she said Drew didn't play a good game, "he played their game" referring to the three vets, and "first week, everyone was bowing down to them, including Drew." It sounds like she'll make her case at least partly with that, if she gets a chance to do so. From there, she went back to studying days and season events. Taylor made chicken quesadillas for three while the guys rehashed some more outside, and wondered about jury votes some more. Maybe they were asked in Diary about Taylor's game because neither was quite as dismissive as they have been, especially Devens. Drew again said Taylor's wrong about Part 3 being days questions, that "it's been the same thing for the last 27 seasons." Actually no, it's been pretty tricky trivia about the jurors' games for the last few years. Drew doubled down on that again later when Devens asked again, saying he'd "been told" it's not social aspect/how well do they know the jurors anymore. Taylor told Drew about Devens' pitch, and said she won't bother pitching back to Devens because he made it clear he'll fulfill his promise to take Drew. Drew and Taylor had a rehash chat about their spats during the season, which expanded to talk of other spats. That was kind of fun and it seemed like they both enjoyed it too.If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory.
