Day 77 - Monday - September 30, 2024
As far as I know, neither Kimo nor Rubina made a pitch to Makensy about her veto. This morning Makensy and Chelsie met yet again before the veto meeting and talked about next week as if Kimo wouldn't be there, so I assume this will be the first week this season it isn't used. Percentage-wise, that won't beat Canada's 11th season where it was used every time, but this bunch tied BB14's record of 10 of 11 regular vetos used. (That season and this one also had two extra vetos: one of those was used this season and neither on BB14.)
Makensy did not use her veto, so that streak was indeed broken, and Kimo or Rubina will be evicted to jury on Thursday - likely Kimo, as of now. Chelsie moved right in with her jury management skills, like she does, shmoozing him as he said he couldn't campaign against Rubina, but he would advocate for himself. Season rehashes kicked off again, with Makensy again saying Joseph started the Collective to protect himself from her. Kimo and Rubina wondered how long the others had been a final three, and Kimo thought maybe since Jankie World. Not that either did anything about it, or their own standing in the game, then or since. And they reminisced about their time in there and their friendship. Eventually all of them were small-talking, and yelling "PENIS!" as loud as they could, and then Kimo went back to singing.
The rest of the afternoon and evening was nothing: dozing, small talk, singing, a little working out, Chelsie studying. They decided to make dinner which was almost great but not quite. Kimo made rice which first boiled over without them noticing, highlighted by a series of cinematic quick cuts horror movie style, then he stirred it multiple times, so it came out mushy. Cam grilled lemon pepper chicken and fought with a bit of sticky foil but it came out good and everyone liked it. Makensy made roasted broccoli which was finished before everything else so it was a first course, and she made mashed potatoes to supplement/replace the failed rice. I know this isn't necessarily the content most of you come here for (especially since the grill isn't even bothering to challenge these guys) but it's all I got.
There was a quick vote chat between Kimo and Cam, with Cam saying he'd like Kimo to stick around but he had to talk with Chelsie, and also Makensy since it could be a tie. And Chelsie and Makensy had a check-in, with Chelsie saying Makensy's the only person she's not nervous about. Kimo and Rubina had some hot tub time, with Kimo saying part of him doesn't even want to keep trying at this point, but they spent a lot of time discussing future social, travel, podcast, and business plans.

Day 78 - Tuesday - October 1, 2024
Today was a lot more nothing. All but Chelsie, who wasn't feeling well, spent time in HOH dozing and chatting. Kimo and (mostly) Makensy talked a lot about (mostly) Makensy, and she gave another classic shockface when Kimo mentioned Kenney said he had big social media following. Later Makensy napped while the others sat around the table gossiping, planning premiere parties for next season, and of course singing.
Makensy made a cake with a leftover birthday mix, narrating every step like a tutorial. She spent about four hours total on it, and had a little planning trouble with the decoration. She ran out of space after BIG BROT, but she squeezed in the HER, and most of them had a piece and enjoyed it. The first hint of gametalk didn't happen til 8.30pm or so, first with Chelsie telling us she was highly irritated with Cam. Makensy joined and Chelsie asked if they should boot Cam or Rubina next week. Makensy said Cam might pull off a win at F4 and/or F3, but she doubted Rubina would. And she said if Chelsie wins, she'd understand if Chelsie cuts her, adding that she'd feel blessed to have made it that far. Cam joined and they reverted to general chat, and lengthy Makensy stories about her ex. Kimo and Rubina did some cycling. Eventually they all gathered in HOH, Makensy cracked open her wine, and Chelsie said she'll make out with Cam at the wrap party. Cam didn't hear that, and everyone else screamed. Maybe true, maybe she's planting more seeds to get Makensy (or Rubina) to cut Cam for her.

Day 79 - Wednesday - October 2, 2024
Waffle Wednesdays aren't what they used to be. There was a hint of gametalk mid-morning when Rubina asked Chelsie if they needed to have a one-on-one? Chelsie said Rubina's good, and they wondered who Makensy would cut if she wins the F4 veto. They all had a late brunch (pancakes, no waffles), there was an impromptu skit or two, and they talked about activities for the day. Makensy suggested a fashion show, something she's been trying to make happen since Week 1. Time will tell if that will happen or not. (It did not.) Meanwhile there was more laying around, more chit-chat, more dozing, and Kimo had his nails re-done. Rubina met with Makensy, who told her if it's a tie vote, she'll keep Rubina. Kimo, who was pretty much already out the door, met with Chelsie and said he'd go after Makensy if he stays and wins HOH or veto since she's the biggest threat to all of them in the final comps.
Early evening, the nothing erupted into something. Very loud shouting exploded between Chelsie downstairs and Makensy on the balcony. It was mostly a play fight because Makensy didn't open the HOH door for Chelsie but she had for Cam. I say mostly a play fight because 79 days of getalong will create hostilities between almost anyone, especially in that environment, and letting some of those hostilities fly in a play fight can be cathartic. Then Chelsie got told to stop singing, and she complained about Kimo always being able to sing so why couldn't she? And she put on a plaid flannel shirt to see if that made it okay - it didn't.
Cam told Chelsie he was thinking about keeping Kimo after all, and they weighed the pros and cons of that, as Kimo and Rubina packed. Pros and cons included Rubina mentioning having F3s with Chelsie and Makensy as well as with the two of them, and Kimo offering to go after Makensy when Rubina hadn't. They decided to do it, and said they'd let Kimo know ahead of time to extract a safety promise from him, and they planned to talk Makensy around to it rather than blindsiding her. After a lengthy group chat with yet more baby names plus altruistic ideas if they had tons of resources, Cam and Chelsie started working on Makensy to be okay with Kimo staying, which they pitched as questions rather than statements. They left it open-ended til tomorrow, but Makensy said she didn't really care which one leaves. Later she told Chelsie she'd rather Rubina stay, adding she thinks they can beat either in the remaining comps, and "y'all do what you want to do." Chelsie said Cam wants to keep Kimo, adding she doesn't want to make Makensy break a tie. Makensy didn't like hearing Cam flipped and wondered why he did, when he had wanted Kimo gone. Kimo and Rubina prepped their last supper together in there, and continued packing and picking clothes for tomorrow.
It's funny to me they're so sure neither Kimo or Rubina can win comps, when Kimo smoked last week's veto and Rubina beasted her AI Arena rope comp - they heard about that but they didn't see it. But they realized it could happen when Kimo said he'd target Makensy if he does stay, so good on him for an 11th hour pitch that seems like it'll be successful.

This is the time of the season when I fondly remember the old days of everyone going to jury except the two finalists. That gave third place a chance to decompress a bit, and deliberate with the rest of them, rather than voting within minutes of getting booted out. But more so, jury questions took place a couple days before the finale. That wasn't on feeds but we'd get the fallout afterwards, with the F2 often ranting for hours about being attacked rather than applauded for getting to the end, as they expected. Good times.

He's catching a ton of flak lately for being a dud in the comps, and the worst flak he got was from himself, especially for the Wild Robot and Comics comps. Maybe he's still got a win or two in him? It could happen. He and Chelsie have been tight since Week 1: their Core/CCC alliance with Cedric was the first alliance I was aware of. Despite Chelsie's Diary on Sunday's show saying she'd like to be at the end with Makensy, I feel that one may have been 'of the moment' or 'suggested.' Cam's got a good shot at second place at this point but more importantly for my purposes, he continues to bring the funnies with random comments and one liners. He's the only one left who's actually entertaining, and often.

This is the seventh cycle in a row she's been HOH. Only two were officially hers, but she controlled T'kor's, Quinn's, Leah's, and both of Makensy's reigns. We haven't seen this kind of BB manipulation for awhile, and she deserves her flowers for playing the game as hard as she has. She's continually planted seeds against her intended target, then sat back to watch those seeds grow, thrive, and achieve her goal, and then she's the first to comfort her victim. If she gets to the end, she'll easily win the season against any of them with the exception of Makensy, and that could come down to how well she handles the jury questions and her final speech. The jurors will have put two and two together long before finale night so she'll need to own her moves and be more empathetic than arrogant about them. Entertainment-wise, she's so locked in to the game she's not bringing much. Her Chelsie's Chisme talks to us into her Febreze mic don't do much for me.

Winning the high-stress double eviction veto did him no favors with the rest of them, and Angela's exit line saying she'll vote for him at the end shot him to the top of the F5 hit list. He did nothing to help himself this week, as he hasn't most of the times he was on the block. His singing voice is pleasant, but that's about all he's done for at least a month now. I guess he's entertaining himself. His main song includes a line that this summer has reminded them their dreams can come true. I guess his dream was to be on the show, rather than playing the game the show's about.

She's done well with the comps, especially in the second half, which was a good comeback after being absent for the first half. But unless she manages to win the F4 veto and final HOH, her naivete about the cutthroat nature of this game may cost her the win. If she'd put up Chelsie this week, she could have broken a tie vote to send her to jury, pretty much guaranteeing her $750,000 over any of the others. But no. Entertainment-wise, I've had none from her, except when she acts like a mastermind who thinks she's got a solid awareness of the ins and outs of the past eleven weeks.

Somehow she's become the polarizing one among the fanbase lately. Whatever. I find her amusing some of the time, endearing some of the time, and annoying some of the time. Game-wise she's cooked unless she can pull out a win for the F4 HOH or veto. Just because she hasn't done it yet doesn't mean it won't happen. She smoked the AI Arena she won, but she hasn't done anything game-wise since. She has to want it, and I don't even know if she does.

4th juror - 11th evicted - Day 73
Easily the co-star of the season, alongside Tucker (for different reasons), but she lasted a lot longer than he did. She won two HOHs and a veto, she was on the block seven times, and others veto'd her off it an unprecedented three times. She marched back and forth in the yard overnight for 9.5 hours, including a lot of full goop treatments, and she held up a marshmallow skewer overnight for 9.75 hours. That resumé would win many seasons, but a lot of them didn't like her. She added layers of drama, tantrums, self-deprecating humor, paranoia, kindness, a whole lot of crying, and a game strategy that mostly consisted of 'I want to be here.' She was often loyal and often not, and she was both a pleasure and a chore to watch, depending on the day, and she polarized viewers like few others. She proved that the older woman slot in the casting formula doesn't have to be a doomed early boot, or a dud.

She was a social chameleon and she wasn't in many real alliances, but she had F2s (or close enough) with Lisa, Kenney, Quinn, Brooklyn, Joseph, Makensy, and Angela. She was often fun, often annoying, and a unique personality that the edits unfortunately overlooked for the first half of the season. Things that irk me with most were endearing with her, like wearing the veto necklace or HOH robe all the time, not to mention her Jankie World toy tiara. Cam liked her but Chelsie liked Cam so that got complicated, so she switched to Tucker but he liked Rubina. Both Joseph and Quinn liked her but she kinda liked Quinn, eventually. She often talked nonstop about herself, sprinkled liberally with 'like' and 'literally,' and she came across as being ditzy but she was smarter and savvier than she seemed, and she reminded them of that often. Her bond with Angela was fun to watch as it developed, and then they went out on the same night.

She bonded with Kimo and Rubina early on, and the trio quickly became inseparable. That's heartwarming to see but a voting block of three is a big threat in this game. She was seen as their leader but she was beloved by everyone so it took awhile for her to hit the block. When she finally did, she didn't take it well and withdrew back into her self-described shell, and didn't fight hard enough to stay. She got Tucker out on her HOH, but he would have been a useful ally for her if he'd stayed. She and Kimo had excellent reads on the game and their fellow players throughout, but they didn't do much with those reads besides stealth-whisper to each other a lot. In Week 4 they orchestrated a vote flip but later denied doing so, even to each other. She's accomplished a lot in life at a young age and I have no doubt she'll continue to do so, and I wish her well.

He was a different kind of superfan, having seen episodes and RHAP podcasts, but no feeds. He got the best power this show's ever handed out on Day 2, but blabbed it to two people, so by the time he used it everyone knew and the fun was spoiled. That week he put his ally Cedric on the block and he went home, and later he put his ally Joseph on the block, and he went home. But he was allied with nearly everyone at some point, with F2s all over town, and he blew up alliances like it was a hobby. He continually thought he had everyone in his pocket, unaware his pocket had a huge gaping hole and couldn't hold anything. He shouted in Diary but was light and fun much of the time, even when his game was tanking, so props for that. He fell hard for Leah and made 'googleah' eyes at her, and his 'sick nasty' speech to her was instant inspiration for a million memes.

He brought a lot of unintentional comedy as he deluded himself about his power and influence, and he proclaimed himself 'star of the show' in one solo talk to himself/us. To his credit, his intentional comedy was every bit as good, although his dry sense of humor wasn't appreciated by some. He had a BB birthday that helped him settle in better socially, and he became the eighth hamster to get 24 hours in solitary. Three of those won their seasons but not this time. Joseph had extra chatty, holographic mini-Matt for company, and he said later he used his toilet tent for extracurricular purposes. He apologized to Angela after being brutally honest about her game, and he acknowledged he had some self-work to do about his 'mean streak.' I'll miss him, and wish him nothing but the best. He demolished two AI Arenas and was the first pre-juror to win three vetos in a row(!), along with an HOH. All that plus his boasting made him most everyone's target but he seemed to relish that spot (along with puzzles and biscuits). He was a welcome change from the usual 'comp beast' type, often showing compassion and empathy, and shedding tears over missing his min pin Ziggi. He fell in love with Rubina, and was often loud, sometimes obnoxious, frequently funny, and he usually owned whatever room he was in, including Diary. His gameplay was reckless and unpredictable, nearly always leaving chaos in his wake. He was that extremely rare breed of hamster: a hard gamer, often a good one (sometimes horrible), while being entertaining. He will be missed.

She confessed her sports dancer secret to Quinn (who told several), her Mrs America secret to Chelsie (who didn't), but I don't think she told anyone she's friends with Aaryn. Thanks to Cam, she provided a fun Michael Jackson side game out here for her last couple weeks. He prepped by watching analysis clips and didn't see any full seasons so he had an unusual balance of BB lore and knowledge. He was a good sport about being sidelined Week 1 and he used that time well, becoming well-liked by all of them. 'Young Cedric' was an ongoing, evolving skit and his own elaborate life stories usually had them and us in stitches. Between expecting volunteers for the block and painting himself into a no-win corner between his various alliances, his HOH was a disaster. Then he volunteered to be a pawn the following week and learned the meaning of 'pawns go home.' He was funny, genuine, wise and mature beyond his years, and he'll be missed.

Tucker's rants about her were an early highlight, and she crumbled after Angela mocked her walk and called her a twit. Props for winning the first veto (rare for a woman), but she wasn't cut out for this setting. Most of that was simply being a bad roommate: she made (and wasted) food they didn't want, dabbed non-consensual essential oil on her roomies' pillows, propped filthy feet on food surfaces, and she never tired of telling everyone what a special and unique person she was.

THE REAL SHOW IS THE FEEDS
BB1 thru BB25 plus Celebs and OTT, and loads of other shows and movies, plus originals
GAME TWISTS
-First and second move-in groups of eight voted against letting Ainsley join as 17th player, and each group played comps based on their votes.
-Losers Cedric, Chelsie were Week 1 mascots: couldn't compete for HOH or veto, couldn't vote, could be nominated.
-Makensy won America's Veto: once in first four weeks, she can remove someone from the block and viewers will instant-vote the replacement. She used it Week 3 after she went up as veto renom.
-Quinn won Deep Fake HOH: once in first four weeks, the HOH's AI avatar will announce noms Quinn secretly picked, and he can spread misinfo and rumors via that fake avatar. He used it Week 4 to take over Angela's 2nd HOH (everyone knew about it).
-Weeks 1 thru 7: HOH picked three nominees, and veto renom if applicable. The three competed live in AI Arena before the vote, and the winner came off the block.
-Week 6: Viewer vote to pick someone for AI Instigator (Tucker), who could spread rumors via others' AI avatars. A second vote determined how much cash he won ($20k).
-Week 9: Jankie World: everyone lived outside in a carnival setting, with carnival food and periodic signals to sing and dance.
