Later last night after most had gone to bed, Makensy was sitting alone reading her Bible when Quinn came downstairs, pausing on the upper landing to put his pants on. I thought he looked sleepwalkish, and Makensy muttered to herself "well that's freaky." She said his name as he descended and walked past her and he seemed awake (again?), so who knows.Kimo and T'kor came to a decision this morning(!) to keep Rubina over Cedric or Makensy, or to keep Cedric over Makensy, making my closing prediction last night accurate(!) Before the housewide wake-up, they set up a plan to notify/warn Joseph, Leah, Tucker, Brooklyn, and Chelsie. Kimo told Joseph, who didn't seem thrilled but was accepting. T'kor and Kimo reaffirmed their decision a bit later, with T'kor saying Cedric had volunteered to go on the block, and adding "they don't care how we feel, so why should we care how they feel?" about their decision to keep Rubina, since they're closer to her than the other two. After HOH lockdown/tech rehearsal, Kimo got heated talking with T'kor and with Joseph, saying "I do not like ultimatums like that, that's fuckin shit!" And Joseph said Brooklyn and Chelsia were acting like dictators. The vote still wasn't 100% decided when feeds went down before the show, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. The recap edits were pretty good, covering Quinn outing the Pentagon to Kimo and T'kor, Five Pointz forming, Angela eavesdropping and begging to be let into an alliance, and a lot of Kimo and T'kor in the middle of everything, with an emphasis on Kimo making the maneuvers through the chaos. That gave short shrift to T'kor who's been as instrumental or more than Kimo, but whatever. The season's still young. Cedric, Makensy, Rubina went to AI Arena which was a rollyball titled Upload/Download, to fix or calibrate Ainsley's up/download speeds. They had to roll balls up a shallow ramp and land five in a small top section, then use smaller balls to knock those five down the other side. Julie stumbled a bit over the word "spheres" because it's AI theme so they used that word rather than balls. Makensy won, with Rubina finishing just a hair behind her. To Julie's probable delight, Cedric and Rubina actually did go off to strategize a bit, but as BB luck would have it, a camera got stuck in the wall for a second while following them. The nominees gave their speeches, Julie told us Quinn and Angela wouldn't vote, but Quinn did a token dip into Diary because his Deep Fake was theoretically secret - ha! My prediction at the end of yesterday's post was correct: Cedric was evicted 6-3, with Brooklyn, Cam, Chelsie the dissenters. Brooklyn gave us yet another stunned expression when Julie read the tally. Cedric went out in good spirits, apologizing to Julie midway through his sit-down for yelling at her, and he acknowledged "pawns go home" when Julie said he knew the history of the game so why did he volunteer to go on the block? The AI Instigator vote was opened (there's a link to your left for that). It was explained as the Instigator could spread chaos and misinformation for one week via others' AI avatars. Here's the catch: the vote closes next Thursday morning, so the winner could theoretically be evicted before the power kicks in. I suggest waiting to see how this week shakes out before casting your votes if you want to ensure they'll count. An interesting tidbit: all four evictees so far voted No for the move-in Ainsley vote. She's getting her revenge. Feeds came back about 6.40pm before they started their wall comp. Makensy said God told her she'd win the AI Arena so she'd been at peace all day. Brooklyn reached and activated the rationalization stage by saying "people lie, this is the game, people lie, people lie, it is what it is." And she started doing damage control with Rubina. Chelsie said it was "unfair to the house" that people had four days to talk but didn't until the last second. (They were talking for the entirety of those four days, just not to her.) Kimo and T'kor hibernated in a bedroom whispering about where to go from here, and Kimo told Tucker about Collective. T'kor wasn't pleased about that, and Kimo said he still wants to work with Brooklyn and Chelsie. Cam finally arrived and said "y'all still on the ground?!" (It had probably been a full hour by then.) T'kor told him she wants to let Brooklyn and Chelsie know she still wants to protect all three of them. Tucker then warned Kimo and T'kor that Brooklyn was saying they'd orchestrated the flip, Leah followed up to say the same, and Rubina told them she was highly confused about the vote. Feeds went away, then came back around 9.05pm with all 12 hamsters lined up on the wall, including both Angela and Quinn. It had flame graphics this time, so it was a firewall, get it? Ainsley's got jokes. Angela came off first around 9.09pm, followed by Kimo, Joseph, Leah, Chelsie, T'kor, Makensy, Brooklyn, Rubina, Cam, leaving Tucker versus Quinn as the last two standing at 9.35pm. Along the way they got splatted hard with green, blue, and hot pink goo along with Ainsley announcements about viruses and the like, as well as extended rain and blasts that were probably about temperature control or something. Feeds went back to adoptable anipals for Tucker versus Quinn, and we didn't see the end. Boo and hiss. Tucker won, as he'd said he would all week. Tucker and Quinn took side by side showers, quietly, with Quinn staying extra quiet as he sat on the edge of a bed for a long time afterwards, clearly discouraged. The first three to come off will be Have-not for the week, so that means Angela and Joseph for their first time and Kimo for his second. There was a lot of chatter about how much harder it was to stay on the wall than it looks on TV, as always happens. They did prolong the tilts tonight so it was over a lot sooner than some years, but they had handholds at three different heights which was a nice improvement. Tucker said "Quinn should have taken that deal, he jumped off one [tilt] later, sorry!" That's not to say either of them would honor whatever deal(s) they didn't make, but we didn't hear what they were anyway. Kimo, T'kor, Joseph rehashed and planned damage control in Have-not as Tucker started one-on-ones by the fishies, with the dissenting voters showing up first. Tucker told Brooklyn his target is Quinn but he'd listen to what everyone has to say. He told Cam if he does end up on the block it would be as a pawn, and Cam said he gets it. He told Chelsie he needs a pawn, and reminded her he went up as a pawn to help her on her HOH. He told Joseph about Quinn turning down his F2 offer to run to the end, and that he'd probably put up Quinn, Cam, Brooklyn. Joseph said they should aim at Cam or Brooklyn, so he's still keeping his Quinn options open, and Tucker said he didn't really think Quinn was that big a threat. Tucker then got his room which had pics of his family and doggie Ziggi who everyone agreed was as cute as he said (we been knew). His letter was from his dad, with lots of section IN CAPS, and he broke down while reading it, aww. GET YOUR FEEDS to get the real story. It's a very messy, chaotic season so far. Day 32 - Friday - August 16, 2024Tucker continued meetings last night without me, and did more today, a lot of them reruns. Taking into account what he's said to whom (it varied), his noms will probably be Brooklyn, Cam, Quinn, with Brooklyn his target, and Chelsie as renom option if needed. That's assuming they'll still do three nominees. (Julie didn't say anything last night about AI Arena wrapping up.) Tucker told several of them Quinn is the target, and he told Quinn he'd be a pawn, but said Quinn shouldn't tell anyone that or he'd become a target. (Quinn later told Joseph and Brooklyn, separately.) Tucker told several others he was thinking of Kimo as a pawn option - and he told Kimo he was saying that, along with telling him Brooklyn was the only one who'd suggested him (Kimo) as an option. The temporarily-named Tanks group of Kimo, Rubina, T'kor, Tucker, plus self-invited Angela, added Joseph and named themselves 6th Avenue. And Leah ran her anti-Quinn and anti-Cam loops to Tucker again, with like extended and like repetitive detail. This morning Angela complained about not being able to sleep in Have-not, Kimo and T'kor had another hibernation whisper session, T'kor had another boosting/bonding session with Rubina, and Brooklyn tried to finger Kimo and T'kor for her vote and continued saying she wasn't bothered by it all, "it's just the game" etc. Tucker's seed-bomb to Joseph about Brooklyn dropping his name took root, and he ran with that, including goofing on her bashing his lack of comp wins when she's also won nothing. He told Tucker "Quinn's an idiot" and said he constantly has to correct him about BB trivia, and that he should have taken Tucker's F2 and/or wall deal pitches. Joseph said he dropped off the wall early to be a Have-not, for sympathy, like Dan did. He said something about wanting/expecting to be the Dan of this season, and later on his own said "they hate me 'cause they ain't me" along with some shoutouts. Joseph's delusions of grandeur are one of the better/funnier side stories this season, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. And he's in a very good spot (as of now), so maybe it's not all that delusional. Quinn told us he'd wanted to be part of "blowing up" the Pentagon alliance but they did it without him, and he said he wasn't buying what people were telling him about Leah bashing him. Oop. Tucker nominated Brooklyn, Cam, Quinn as planned, and it was confirmed AI Arena is still in play this week. Tucker apologized to Brooklyn with a hug after the ceremony, and she wore one of her now-patented grouchy expressions as he talked to her. Rubina and Leah gave her peptalks to win the veto, etc. Chelsie said she was surprised, she thought it would be Kimo rather than Brooklyn (but I'm pretty sure she knew the Kimo story was a ruse). As far as I know, Brooklyn, Cam, Leah, Makensy, Quinn plus possibly Chelsie were buying the story that Quinn is the target, when it's actually Brooklyn. Most or all of the others know that. T'kor checked in with Quinn to see if he was okay, and he was, saying he didn't think proclaiming himself a superfan would come back to bite him (apparently that was included as a Reason for his nomination). Quinn asked T'kor if her vote last night was a last minute decision and she said it was (it wasn't), and he said he wished she and Kimo would have let him know. Cam and T'kor also had a check-in. T'kor was upset, partly due to the general nastiness of the game getting to her (I think), plus guilt about last night's vote, and learning she'd been left out of the alliance of Black players. Cam said he was okay with his nomination (he didn't exactly volunteer but he didn't put up any fight when Tucker told him he'd probably go up as a pawn). Rather than sitting back and enjoying her extra life and current safety, Makensy made some rounds saying too much about her bad reads on the state of things. T'kor told Kimo she was too empathetic and didn't think she could have fun playing the game "until the personal feelings have been dealt with." Oop, that kind of thing usually gets harder the longer they go. I think it would do her a world of good to stop hibernating and spending so much time with only Kimo, and do more circulating and socializing, but nobody asked me. Kimo told her they're still who they are in the real world but in there "we're versions of ourselves, in a gameshow." Quinn spilled the Pentagon history to Rubina, with Kimo and T'kor present, still in his erroneous (but understandable) bubble thinking he's Tucker's target. Joseph and Tucker had a further bonding session with a lot of high-five type comments. Angela laid down on the living room floor for awhile. Brooklyn talked with Chelsie, making it clear she bought Tucker's story that Kimo would be renom if needed. Oop again. Chelsie told Brooklyn she wants to publicly call out Joseph "in the most 'I want to kill him with my words,' in a very classy way." And Brooklyn said about Tucker: "let [him] throw a couple temperature tantrums and make [him] look mentally weak, which he is, that's his weakness." Yep, she said temperature. T'kor finally apologized to Brooklyn, saying she's sorry Brooklyn ended up in this predicament, that wasn't her intention and she hopes she stays. They talked cordially back and forth about it all, like they do, then Brooklyn said "I know you and Kimo are the true showmance, for now." She said it conversationally, but we know a hint of showmance is the kiss of death in there this season. Brooklyn told Leah that T'kor apologized "for letting me throw myself under a bus" and Leah said at least she apologized. Angela had a breakdown to Tucker about new allies Kimo and T'kor ignoring her when she enters a room. She's probably unaware they're always game-whispering in rooms, and highly preoccupied today. Tucker told her it was fine, no biggie, the alliance was solid. Sleep-dep Angela might be making a comeback this week. She sat at the table and glared as various others had something to eat. Leah exploded into a ranty rant in HOH to Kimo, Rubina, T'kor about Brooklyn for bullying behavior and being pissy about the vote blindside, Cam for being mopey and not hugging her after he went on the block(!), and Chelsie and Brooklyn for thinking they're better than others and Leah can tell they don't like her. There was a very lot more and it erupted out of her in one breath for multiple minutes. She said she's "realizing things quickly" and of course a lot about Leah, her past, and her personality was included in there. T'kor told her about her apology to Brooklyn, but the subject ended and changed when Brooklyn, Chelsie, Makensy joined the room, along with Cam and Tucker. They played a group guessing game, while Joseph and Quinn rehashed more about the vote, and danced around the elephant in the kitchen (their fractured F2). Quinn joined the HOH group, and Joseph and T'kor talked about what they could do for Angela's birthday tomorrow that wouldn't involve food she couldn't have. Leah and Makensy did some decorating and hung up streamers for the occasion, and Quinn pitched in on that, and Chelsie and T'kor ground up oats to make her some slop cookies.
