LaLa got her room and goodies around 2am. This morning she made her good morning rounds in the HOH robe, the first to wear it around the house this season, that I've noticed. Good for her, she hard-earned it. Her tentative plan for noms, as guided by Taylor, was Barrett, Drew, Kamu with Haley her renom and target. We'll see if that changes after one-on-ones today. Fallout from the vote blindside continued today, with Chuk in particular doing investigations. Devens played up how he'd been lied to and thrown under the bus whne Chuk grilled him, and he almost sounded convincing about it. Haley told Barrett she thought Drew has a good shot at today's Time Capsule but she might too, due to last night's blindside on top of her horrible three weeks. Barrett told her maybe a power or punishment was a factor in last night's vote tally. Taylor coached LaLa for her meetings, telling her to "listen more than you talk.. if you want to get info from someone you're considering, tell them you're considering them." Yash interrupted to start his one-on-one, which was quick, and she told him he's safe. Taylor returned to finish her coaching, and the rest of the meetings got underway. LaLa told Devens, Dee, Angela, Melody, Mallory they're safe, and she let them know Haley's her target. A funny/high point was LaLa mentioning Honor Society to Dee, who had forgotten all about that one. Haley acted like she knew she might go up, and she dropped Melody's and Drew's names, along with Mallory's, but she kind of cleared Mallory of alleged crimes. LaLa told Barrett and Drew they'll probably go up as pawns. Barrett said he'll never say that's okay or feel comfortable with it, but he accepted it was practically a done deal, and Drew launched into a lengthy monologue with a bit of bonus choking up and (dry?) tears, but he too seemed to accept his fate. Both of them were also told Haley's the target. Kamu acknowledged her "fair and square" win on the wall, so there were no deals cut there when feeds blocked the end of the comp from us: he fell off. LaLa told him she has a target, and said she may need him to sit on the block to carry out her plan, and he said he appreciated the honesty.Taylor visited HOH for a followup after LaLa's quick and businesslike meetings, and Angela joined to ask if Chuk knows the plan? LaLa said he does not. (It should be noted LaLa, Taylor, Chuk made a safety pact last night.) Angela explained her friendship with Haley to LaLa and Taylor, but said she's fine if she goes home, and she said she wasn't part of yesterday's vote flip plan (but Taylor and LaLa already suspected she was). Kamu went back for a followup to say he's on an island, he no longer has an alliance, and LaLa guaranteed him he won't go home against her target. (She made the same promise to Barrett and implied the same to Drew.) Scratch all that. Nobody seemed to think of the possibility of Haley playing and winning veto and using it on Kamu but eventually they did. Yash gave a lot of anti-Chuk info to LaLa, who ran it by Taylor, and then Kamu. Kamu took over negotiations and eventually convinced LaLa a noms slate of Barrett, Chuk, Haley was the way to go, with either Chuk or Haley as target. He also strongly pitched an F4 alliance of himself, LaLa, Taylor, Yash but all four didn't meet together to formalize that. Kamu said he no longer trusts his former allies Chuk or Haley, and feeds went to adoptable anipals for noms with most of the house still believing they'd be Barrett, Drew, Kamu. Once again, there was no indication of today's Time Capsule results but Julie said that would be revealed on Unlocked, so maybe they timed that intentionally.Unlocked brought out Josh who cheered for the chaos the blindside created (hear hear!), and they all goofed on Haley's classic shockface. And they brought out Jason for his sit-down which was great, and later Lyric was brought out and asked about shower peeing. ![]() A home visit segment with Devens' wife Becca and kids Juju and Jack was the highlight, with the kids cosplaying Drew's bandana and wild hair and Angela's egg suit, as well as Juju doing Jason banging pots and pans and calling out passing hamsters for strategizing, simply fabulous! Jerry did a behind the scenes scenery segment from the camera runs that was also pretty great. They revealed Mallory won Time Capsule #4 but not what she got, and they showed the start of the wall comp where Angela did indeed give it a go before almost instantly coming down. They had a lot of other fun and mid segments, and a couple Bluesky posts like last year, including FAP4AMERICA in @mushqoom.bsky.social's display name clearly showing up on their monitor, on primetime network TV. Incredible and delightful. All in all it remains a fun show and a great companion to the main series. LaLa nominated Barrett, Chuk, Haley as last-minute planned. Barrett wondered to Drew why LaLa had lied to him about putting them both up with Kamu, and Angela set out on apology rounds to breathily explain she didn't know LaLa was going to do that. She spent extra time with Haley and Chuk who were not bubbly at all, not least because LaLa called them a showmance at noms. LaLa stressed to Chuk that he's not her target, but he's tied to Haley who's a firestarter who has to go. (So is Kamu, even more so, or at least he was up til 24 hours ago, but now he's LaLa's BFF.) Chuk complained at LaLa for a long time, Angela cried at LaLa for awhile (guilt from playing both sides as they're ripped apart), Haley whined and moaned at Chuk for a long time, endlessly repeating how kind and strong and emotionally spent she is. Mallory got Adam and Eve in the Time Capsule vault and she picked Melody to do it with, so Eve and Eve.If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. Day 31 - Thursday - August 6, 2026 Last night Drew asked Kamu to swear on his Bible that he (Drew) will stay tonight, but Kamu refused, saying he won't swear on it about anything. Drew reported that to Dee this morning, saying it proved to him Kamu's lying about keeping him. Meanwhile, Melody opted for silent meditation this morning rather than headbanging, though she might have done some of that too that I didn't see. She threatened some "bitch to everybody" behavior, which I'd love to see, but I'm not falling for her Charlie Brown football anymore. Dee and Devens met after HOH lockdown/tech rehearsal and as usual, voided the last week of talks and promises and waffles to plan the actual eviction. Dee said they need to keep Drew, Devens went along with it, and they agreed to keep Melody as well if the vote is her versus Lyric, for their own games as well as to blindside Haley, Chuk, Kamu. They counted votes despite many interruptions by various people and decided to whip the votes if they could, and if they don't all come through, they'll let people think Yash was to blame. Between them, they quickly spread the word through the house one by one with stealthy whispers amid primping and eating activities. In other news, tonight is the wall comp and it will (mostly) be on feeds. Remember pre-season Julie said she'd like to do it with them on the 1,000th episode and hope she lasts for 1,000 seconds, if The Powers That Be approved. Either that was just BS for clicks and promo, or TPTB maybe said no, for insurance reasons or whatever, because tonight is not the 1,000th episode. But they could lie about that of course - few would know the difference. ![]() Also today, and the timing probably isn't coincidental, ads arrived on the feeds, even for the ad-free P+ plan. Today brought a Paw Patrol movie ad in a banner across the lower feeds section where the content warning goes, and it only lasted a few seconds each time, like the content warning. Their lil faces are cute enough, but it's the principle for me. We know it's the corporate way these days: greed is greed, the rich get richer, and the rest of us keep paying for it, but we don't have to like it or blindly accept it without comment. Tonight's Block Buster is also peddling Paw Patrol, so maybe the wall will too. Julie arrived to tease the "first blindside of the summer" but the recap segments, like the feeds this week, were a mess of flips and backtracked plans so it didn't much matter what they used. A Lyric Diary said "silly Lyric, naïve Lyric, thinking she could trust people" without realizing she'd made TMZ a few hours earlier for peeing in the shower was ironic, and the recap segment also included the narrator using "Thog." Drew and Melody got a tinkly (electric) piano segment about their impending forced breakup that included a sniffly Drew Diary about it. And then came the sponcon for the Block Buster, which included a full movie trailer and Julie delivering the promo blurbs and in-theaters date like she was being paid to do so. Drew won it, so his losing streak ended along with Julie's BBBB curse.Lyric's nominee speech was boilerplate plus Hawaii, and Melody's kicked off with a bleep that we later heard was an f-bomb, so she did live up to some of her threats, but we didn't hear it. She apologized to Julie and to her mom, and Julie scolded her. ![]() The votes were cast and included Drew acting like a nut behind Julie as she said "Drew shed tears"; Taylor told LaLa in the Diary hallway to vote out Lyric; Angela dove right in with her vote and shoutouts, barely letting Julie even say hello; and Kamu shouted out Frankie to ask him to set up a date with Ariana. (Frankie later posted "Not a fucking chance Kamu. You can eat my ass. #bb28") Lyric was evicted 8-3 which was as expected if you were up to date from earlier today, and it confirmed nothing had changed since then. The dissenters of course were Chuk and Kamu, plus Yash. Haley gave a shockface for the ages, as hoped. ![]() The fourth of four renoms to be evicted, Lyric came out with smiles and said she loves Rome, and Julie invited herself to their wedding as she had to him. In the house, Haley's shockface was cemented in place and Devens was giving a "who flipped" look to her and Kamu. Back onstage, Julie brought out Josh as the guest host for Unlocked, and he came out banging a pot, of course. She acknowledged and congratulated him for his recent fourth place finish on La Casa de Los Famosos but infuriatingly, she called it Celebrity Big Brother Mexico, TWICE! He mentioned the actual name of the show once but she didn't seem to catch it. Not only did she get the title wrong, but it's an American show. Who writes her scripts these days, and who approves them? Just because it's Spanish language doesn't automatically mean Mexican. Unbelievable. Feeds came back to mass confusion by Haley, Chuk, Kamu about how it all went so wrong and who the votes were. Haley seemed to think the three votes were Angela, Chuk, Dee, and she was doing interrogations to find out who lied and was continuing to lie. The popcorn was popping and the tea was hot. Feeds went to adoptable anipals for them to get into comp clothes, tape their bad acting scene around the times table, get their full rules, and get installed on the wall. Feeds came back later than advertised, at around 9.45pm. The set was Six Rivers National Forest, a real place in NorCal, home of the famous 1967 Bigfoot video. Haley was in a ranger suit doing over-the-top announcements. Angela was already off, but I think she didn't even attempt it. The wall had a tilt and a deeper tilt, they got pelted with a very lot of cold rain, Bigfoot ran around and they got splatted with blue, pink, and green slime.Drops in order were Angela (never on), Taylor, Barrett, Devens, Dee, Melody, Mallory, Chuk, Yash, and Drew with a lengthy, dramatic swing-fall. Feeds went to anipals when it was LaLa versus Kamu and they didn't come back til everyone was in the house, and LaLa was the new HOH. I don't know if Kamu fell or if they cut a deal or what, because production still hates us. Maddest of mad props to LaLa for going an hour and a half to win a very tough comp at age 58, and after a week of Have-not! That's beyond impressive and we finally have a power shift! Whew. I'll catch up her HOH room and nomination plans tomorrow. If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory.
