Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 39 - Friday - August 14, 2026

Yash's preliminary noms plan was Angela, Dee, Haley with Angela his target. (Reminder for what it's worth, Angela's birthday is Monday.) Yash was clear he wants a woman to go, and he knows Haley could be tough to beat in veto or Block Buster. The drama from yesterday's HOH lockdown spilled over this morning, landing Haley and LaLa on the fights tally. Apparently the tension grew from Angela being close to both, Haley and Angela started feuding, and then they made up. Also LaLa was fanning herself during lockdown. Today's back and forth was mostly Haley calling LaLa a bully and LaLa calling Haley passive-aggressive. At one point Haley said "yeah gurlfriend, I don't think so" (in an Aaryn kind of way), and LaLa replied "I'm not your girlfriend, so please don't call me girlfriend." A house meeting was threatened but failed to happen. Afterwards LaLa asked herself if she's being painted as a mean person, and she doesn't want that to be the narrative, "that's not good, not good at all." And she wondered if she should quit and go home, but instead she made apology rounds, and vented to Taylor.

Angela was upset (but pretended not to be) about being the epicenter of the morning's drama. Kamu worked overtime all night and morning, being Yash's F2 (Yash as season runner-up, in Kamu's mind). He told Angela that Yash never said she could go on the block during Kamu's HOH (lie), blaming Chuk for spreading that.(Kamu's been conveniently blaming evictees for a lot of things lately.) Kamu asked Dee if she's talked to Angela about the whole gym fight and Dee said "not deeply" - ha! Devens confirmed to Dee that Yash said she'd be going up today, and he said it might be time to use her BB Bribe, possibly volunteering himself as pawn and then using his diamond veto. Yash held his HOH meetings, even though his noms were decided (unless Dee pulls out her bribe and he accepts it). Devens retold the Haley versus LaLa fight a few times, with humor, since it broke out in the bathroom as he was doing his morning tooth-brushing and the like, and his quickie impression of Angela inserting herself for no reason was a highlight. Haley continued expecting she'll get a power today, between having suffered so much for six weeks, and the audience guy who screamed for her Block Buster win last night made her think she's a fan favorite. That guy came forward today and said he's not even a Haley fan.

Melody got the fifth Time Capsule, and her second costume in two weeks. She got Lord (Lady) of the Latrine and her renaissance faire outfit and duties were like Derek X's: she has to announce whenever someone needs to use the toilet to pee or poop, unlock the door for them, and then relock it when the flushing's done. Barrett, Dee, Devens had a check-in and Devens described his idea to pawn himself, which they discouraged, but apparently he did pitch that to Yash off feeds. Also off feeds, Dee offered her $5k bribe to Yash to keep her off the block, and he turned her down. Yash told Devens about Dee's offer, and Devens acted surprised to learn about it. Yash let Angela know he was "considering her" for the block and there's "a high probability" he'll nominate her, but added he "doesn't want to see her go home." (Last night and this morning he did.)

Yash nominated Angela, Dee, Haley as planned. LaLa was as chirpy and perky as could be as she started dinner prep. Angela revived her BB26 angry chair persona in her bedroom, with Dee, who later whispered to us she was glad in a way to hit the block because she can spend time alone without needing an excuse to do so. Haley did a workout in the gym that seemed to me to be as much about working off anger or frustration as healthy exercise. Barrett cycled and kept her company, back to his babysitting/hospice cat duties. Mallory had another shouty group activity planned for tonight, but that train trip was postponed til tomorrow. Dee whispered to Angela "there is a world where we both stay," presumably referring to Devens' diamond veto. And she told Angela to make amends with Haley and they should keep her since she's loyal, a good competitor, and a shield.

Haley found her way to the bunk beds room and talked with Taylor for a long time, and Barrett turned his sympathetic ear (and a cheek kiss) to Dee, who shed a tear. It was probably a cumulative pressure release kind of tear, and she did say she's glad she's on the block because it's part of the BB experience, but I couldn't muster up much sympathy for her, or Angela. They've had it super easy for so long, and Dee in particular often laughed after people hit the block. Angela rallied and made rounds about veto picks, and told Mallory and Melody if either plays and wins veto, they shouldn't use it on her because the other would go up. I don't know if Dee's power is done now since Yash turned down the bribe, or if she can keep it to offer to him or someone else later. That should be made clear on Sunday's show if not before. Devens told Dee he'll use his veto on her Monday if she's still on the block, and he'll tell Yash and I don't know who else about it ahead of time, and say if he doesn't save her, Survivor fans will kill him.

Day 38 - Thursday - August 13, 2026

Another Thursday morning rolled around and tonight we go down to an even dozen of them, which is how many Seasons 2 and 3 started with. Dee might still get to work this afternoon to get them to evict Chuk instead of Haley. That could mean another shockface blindside, for LaLa and Taylor this time if they don't get a heads up; it would diminish LaLa's HOH evictee as a resumé item; and it would bring Haley closer to Dee and her people, which could be of use. But it could arguably work against Dee if people start to realize how much in charge she is. She might just let the votes fall as they fall today and come up with some new scheme for the upcoming week. Time will tell.

That was a short wait. As soon as feeds came back from HOH lockdown/tech rehearsal, Angela laid a little groundwork with LaLa in case Haley stays, telling her not to stress out about it, she doesn't have to play (align) with her, and LaLa said she'll be fine. Shortly after that, Dee gave Angela her orders. They will again flip the vote to keep Haley against Chuk if Barrett wins the Block Buster, they'll point fingers at Barrett and Drew for it, and she told Angela to just stay close with LaLa this afternoon so she's not actively involved or blamed. And apparently there was some tension during lockdown that Haley griped about to Yash, heavily leaning into her longtime anti-LaLa campaign, and there was also some buzz involving Barrett? I don't know what that was about. Haley gave Angela an early birthday gift, a Snickers, with some more very long hugs, and then Angela gave Chuk some long hugs and they made post-season taco plans. And Yash mangled Devens' hair.

The Block Buster is a rollyball comp where they'll have to roll five balls up a ramp to stop at the top, then they'll have to roll more balls to knock down each one of the five. Even though Julie broke her podium curse last week, the apparatus was not labelled in today's demo.

The show opened with Julie in a summery sundress, most of the hamsters in jammies, Dee in Barrett's shirt, and Drew in a unicorn tank top, so probably Mallory's. It's funny that Drew's now been in drag on two shows, compared to zero for Jason. The recap announcer included "LaLa was gunning for Thog" and segments included Chuk and Taylor each going biblical in Diary, Angela throwing knives at LaLa, the rookies' revolution and near-instant revolt against it from within, but nothing from Haley about kindness or keeping her character intact. Julie sent the nominees to the Block Buster where Barrett had a good lead for much of it, but Haley came in clutch to win it. LaLa and Kamu feigned happiness for Haley's win, Angela's may have been real, and Melody didn't even pretend.

Barrett and Chuk nominee speeches were pretty much cliché with the addition of Barrett including "Mallory from BB28" in his shoutouts. Julie said that was "interesting flirting" and they all gasped. The runaround about flipping a Chuk versus Haley vote was once again for nothing, and Chuk was evicted 9-1, making him the third of three move-in safety comp winners to go home pre-jury. Haley was the lone dissenter, as you would expect. Chuk's sit-down with Julie was pretty much boilerplate, and he was still stunned that he was onstage with her when he'd been in such a solid power alliance. Maybe when he comes back for All-stars he'll keep up a little better. Once again, Julie didn't announce anything unusual for next week's shows, love one another.

Angela approached Haley for yet another explanation/apology round but Haley made her work for it this time, asking "are we being 1,000% honest?" And they were off on another merry-go-round of rehashes and retells, Haley's been nothing but kind and honest, maybe the most honest in Big Brother history, and Angela didn't mean any harm and/or didn't do anything wrong and she loves Haley. Then Drew had a meeting with Haley, and so did Taylor (with a lot of anti-LaLa included), and so did Kamu. Haley said Mallory and Melody also apologized to her but I don't know if that was before the show or after. It was like she won HOH instead of Block Buster.

Yash won the HOH comp, which was a knockout comp. Taylor told LaLa she'd been acting inappropriately earlier (during one of the day's HOH lockdowns, I think). There was a lot of tension and retells about that earlier before feeds went down for the comp, mostly involving LaLa, Angela, Haley. I was unable to follow that drama.

Downs are here to stay unless/until they remove the ban on BBViewer. That's probably corporate's doing and not a BB decision, but we still lose no matter what the cause. Especially since a lot of staffers use BBViewer themselves. This show is not like any other and should get a little consideration.

Officially Chief Medical Officer here at The Pitts, she's usually more concerned about saving (making) money than in making improvements for her customers, the public, despite how many areas could use improvement.

An empty hamster wheel before someone's evicted or otherwise leaves means I've put them on ignore, and won't be listening to them or reporting what they do or say unless it's pertinent to season events. In my opinion, this guy is a nasty piece of work who should never have been cast, and I don't want to give him more of my time, energy, or bandwidth than I already have.

For The Pitts purposes: Dr Frank Langdon
He made some bad decisions in the past that got him in trouble, but he doesn't think he should have to keep answering for them. He's technically good at what he does, but he's a little too high on himself to be very valuable to anyone else.

4th evicted - Day 31

She started out a two-trick pony between her dad's 80s hit and her education credentials, but she soon branched out to showmancer deluxe. She and Rome got into it faster than most and were smackier than some, but it didn't last long before she was on her own. She might have been a good player but she promised too much to too many and when those notes were compared, she was toast. She won the bowlerina-esque veto to save herself, and her eviction ended up being a pivotal moment and game-changer, but not because of anything she did. She was fun when she got goony and I found her mostly likeable, especially when she talked normally, but the babygirl voice got her results more than it should have.

Drag queen - West Hollywood, CA (orig San Francisco, CA)

3rd evicted - Day 24

He wasn't grouped with the other reality vets and he downplayed Salina's celebrity, and I respect that he did this as Jason without the built-in advantages of being a known entity. But he messed up the first week when he announced he wanted to go after those three, and it got back to them while they were in power. He compounded that when he admitted to several that his sincere-sounding bond with Angela was fake, and that got back to her. But it all resulted in a hilariously explosive noms ceremony, and he topped that with his teakettle-clanging after Kamu attacked him at Mallory's tea party. Yes he was a messy bitch but he was also genuine, vulnerable, funny, and easily my star of the season.

2nd evicted - Day 17

If you took all the brojock buffoons we've ever had and rolled them into one, you'd get a cartoon character named Jack who decided he'd rather be called Rome. He fell fast and hard for Lyric and maybe she did for him too, and he cry-sobbed for hours with no tears. He acted like he thought he was the star of the show, but his early exit indicates otherwise.

1st evicted - Day 10

She was an NPC at first, but many always are in the first days. She tried to get in the game when she went on the block as a renom but it was too late and she did it badly, so she's now a charter member of the not-so-illustrious first evicted club. She said she'd never had a hamburger before (how is that possible?) but now she has, so her time here wasn't a total loss.

Eliminated via volcano - Day 1

She came in dramatically after (almost) everyone else again, dressed in red again, but this time she was there for a stunt. We've had a couple other fake move-ins before - think Anthony Scaramucci on Celebs 2 or human Ainsley (Cosette Rinab) on BB26. Rachel had people going and thinking she was there as a player but no: 175 million years ago, a dinosaur carried her off and threw her into a volcano before she even got to play a comp or invent a new catchphrase.
