Ratings - First Takes edition

Same as they fumbled a potentially great murder mystery theme last year, they could have had a time machine travel to BB seasons past and future. We've seen the classic comps and moments 1,000 times but there's a lot of forgotten-but-great stuff to revisit, they could have done each room in the house re-created from a past season, and they could have had a lot of fun with future BB, but no. Instead we have a times table, cave people outfits, and Rachel in a volcano. Three vets is three too many when mixed with a cast of rookies, and overall this cast is lackluster, with too many cartoon characters. Maybe they'll evolve and become 'icons' too, but I don't think that's an option for many of them.

I don't know how long it'll take but I don't think she can maintain the serenity for the duration. We've had a few feedster-turned-hamsters before but his Bluesky has some of the most cracked delights we've ever seen, and I love them. He'll probably stick for a long time but he hasn't shown that he's got much game.

I want her to get under their skin a little more and vice versa, and I would especially like her and Angela to tangle. Or if they know about Drag Race, or that Salina has been in that house and played BB before, albeit just for a day (maybe two?) but it's something. As Jason, his dislike of Devens is hilarious, and he's playing BB really badly, and that disappoints me as I had high hopes for him. But on the other hand, popcorn!

Attorney Honolulu, HI She finally stopped bringing up her one-time pop star dad every hour but instead she's gone all sappy and slurpy with Rome. She can go anytime but she'll probably stick til mid jury.	Won: Nothing yet HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0   Mallory Aurichio - 24 Single Rocket scientist Township of Washington, NJ She took her nomination well (from what I saw) and she didn't exactly gloat about her veto win, which is good, but she did run into the ground how her childhood Zhu Zhu Pets gave her the know-how to win it.

He seems very pleasant and very likeable (except to Jason), often charming and funny, and that's all I got so far. His daughter Juju had a birthday greeting she'll never forget, and I'm so happy his wife shared that moment with us. Simply wonderful.

I'd like to know why he chose Rome to go by, and why he confessed his government name to Lyric like it was the secret of all secrets. It's not that big a deal, but it's an odd choice of a name - maybe all the other cities were taken? I'm looking at you, Memphis Bob. That's not a good way to start. But she's handled it all well since, and been lively and fun in both small and large group settings.

He has a crazy way with words and I'm looking forward to being able to catch more of his sayings to add here. But he'll have to win the Block Buster on Thursday for that to happen, or he's probably going home. We've had a couple other fake move-ins before - think Anthony Scaramucci on Celebs 2 or human Ainsley (Cosette Rinab) on BB26. Rachel had people going and thinking she was there as a player but no: 175 million years ago, a dinosaur carried her off and threw her into a volcano before she even got to play a comp or invent a new catchphrase.
