Daily Feeds RecapsDay 41 - Sunday - August 17, 2025 I keep hoping to streamline these recaps into shorter daily reports, but these hamsters do keep complicating everything. Keanu greeted Rachel this morning by bowing "to the queen" and he added something about a unicorn, which confused her. She said he needs to get better at compliments, and at BB. She scolded him for being too convincing with Ashley last night about wanting to keep Mickey, and if he's that good at lying to her, maybe he's lying to Rachel too. He said Ashley's gullible, and he assured Rachel he's totally with her (and Kelley, Katherine, Rylie, Vince). She said she won Season 13 by not playing reckless like she did the year before, and she hard-stressed that Katherine is Rylie's number one, and she said she feels like she's babysitting Keanu, and he has to stop being so reckless. Earlier Keanu had told Rylie they should adopt a Cookout style game, with everyone having a plus-one on the side, then after his Rachel chat, Keanu told Rylie that Rachel isn't even considering him as a renom. After that, Keanu told Ashley that Rylie's the most popular in there and he'll win the game, as Zach would have, so they need to get him out, as they did Zach. Keanu also congratulated himself for being so convincing with everyone. Ava told Will about having learned Mickey or Morgan would use her as pawn if they win HOH, and said she's disappointed with how Mickey's handled her game. Will said she needs to win HOH again and "set this house on fire." Kelley told Lauren if she vetos anyone, the other two will take it wrong, as would Rachel, and she assured her Vince would be safe no matter what. And she said she wants to take a shot at Rachel. Katherine eventually also told Lauren it's better if she doesn't use her veto. Keanu and Mickey had a mutual shmooze session, with Keanu saying he could be the renom if Lauren uses her veto. Mickey said she didn't believe that, and also said she has nobody to sit down and strategize with - one thousand M&Ms would beg to differ. Rachel said something to Katherine about her boyfriend in a group chat with all the girls around the pool, and Ava said "wait Katherine, is Rylie your boyfriend?" Katherine said without hesitation "no." In another potential food-gate, Ashley wondered if Mickey ate the burger she tucked away last night for later. Keanu told Vince he has to have some faith that Lauren will vote to keep him if she doesn't veto him off, and he pointed out Mickey doesn't do well under high pressure so isn't likely to win the Block Buster. Lauren met with Katherine in the hammock and subtly pushed Lauren not to use her veto, without saying so. She suggested when Lauren talks to Rachel that she find out who the renom would be, in order to help Lauren make her decision. Lauren then met with Rachel, who stressed it's Lauren's veto and her decision, and she gave no indication who her renom would be if one's needed. Rachel also got Lauren to grudgingly admit she is working closely with Vince, although Lauren had tried to avoid saying that. It was another difficult convo to listen to with Lauren's pauses, slo-mo talk, her umms and her I don't knows? that end with a question mark. Lauren talked with Rylie during the episode so I was lucky to miss that. Mickey met with Lauren and did most of the talking, most of which was anti-Rachel. Ashley and Will had an anti-Mickey meeting, and they said Ava was also moving away from her. Keanu talked at Lauren for a bit, saying he's 95% sure he won't be the renom if she uses her veto. Then Vince met with Lauren who opened by saying she's either not using the veto or she's using it on Vince (obviously). And she said Rachel said it's up to Lauren, which Vince said was manipulation because Rachel could later say Lauren picked the renom. Meanwhile Vince escalated his own manipulation tactics by the dozen on Lauren. She said she wants Mickey to go, and she said Mickey told her Rachel regrets her noms. (Mickey did tell her that, and it's one of the biggest lies to date.) Vince said if he comes down, the renom would have to be Kelley or Ashley, adding Kelley would win the Block Buster but Ashley's a non-entity in the game and anyone who's up against her will leave. Vince told Lauren that Kelley said she wants to put up Rachel, Keanu, and Ashley or Lauren, and that Kelley said she'd put a hex on the left side of the photo wall, adding "I don't like that witchcraft stuff, I love God." (There are an awful lot of religious hamsters this season, did Julie have a say in casting?) (Kelley did say that, and all five evictees so far are on the left side.) And he said the rest of the cast will be so surprised to learn he and Lauren made an F2 on Day 3 (not really, since Vince made F2s with almost everyone). After a full hour, Lauren finally said "okay, I think I'm gonna use the veto." And then they kept going, trying to decide how to meet with Rachel as a duo to find out who she'll put up instead, since both are scared of her. Rachel already gave Lauren nothing when she asked that earlier. (It would probably be Kelley.) A half hour later, Lauren went back to second-guessing if she'll use it or not. Lauren met with Morgan, who brought ice cream, and said Zach did a very selfless thing and always emphasized how important Lauren was to his game. Morgan said she, Zach, Vince always had an unformalized F3, but Lauren was "always an extension" to that. She choked up and said "Zach would have wanted us to work together, and I'm not saying that because you have the veto." Sure Jan. And she told Lauren about Zach's pocket veto, adding "to my knowledge, I'm the only one who knows this." (She knows Mickey also knows.) Lauren froze, with her mouth open, and said "oh my God" and "that's insane" a few times, and Morgan dwelt on his noble sacrifice for her, like she does. Discussing Thursday vote scenarios, Morgan whipped out the M&Ms, reminding me that she's the one who started with those - it was Mickey who ran them into the ground. Vince finally found his courage somewhere and sat down to talk to Rachel. There wasn't much veto or renom talk, but they rehashed everything again, back to Week 1. He said after seeing her pics and hearing her letter she was becoming "more humanized" for him. (Mickey told her that recently too.) Rachel let him ramble on and on, and finally asked if there's a world where they could still work together? Vince said "yes!" enthusiastically, and she said his HOH week was a shambles but still a good resumé item for him since a) he won it and b) the first HOH is a good one to have. She also poked him by saying he could have come to her for advice that week. Eventually he said "I hope you don't think I'm being some phony piece of crap" and she said "I don't think you're a piece of crap." Oof. They never got around to Rachel saying who she'd put up as renom, which was the only reason Vince sought her out to talk. Morgan finally stopped talking at Lauren, and moved on to Ashley. Lauren checked in with Katherine who said she still doesn't think Lauren should use her veto but if she does, she won't be mad.As of now, it sounds like Lauren might use it on Vince, but more convos might change that overnight or in the morning. We'll see. Tomorrow we start the second half of the season. If you missed what came before, click "Previous Hamsterwatch episode" up top, or hit my season index page. Day 40 - Saturday - August 16, 2025 The latest weird and/or petty news items that might come up later include Morgan finding Zach's toothbrush in the bathroom trash and pulling it out to save, and Mickey having issues with Keanu eating leftover pasta she wanted. Last night Morgan and Vince stayed up late to gossip and scheme, in case veto is OTEV, and Morgan's anti-Lauren campaign revved up. Today Mickey and Rachel had another lengthy shmooze session, and Ava overheard another Ashley/Mickey rant session. Vince and Keanu stretched in the gym for the veto comp, with Keanu encouraging Vince to win veto, and Vince complaining of sore hamstrings and quads, possibly from excessive standing and squatting in the egg - not a good way to head into OTEV. Rachel joined, her sore muscle still a little sore, and Kelley and Lauren also joined. They did a round of peptalks, got a tour of Keanu's tattoos, and had a lively, lovely chat about dogs they've had. It was a nice convo because duh, dogs. Feeds went to adoptable anipals at 12.40pm for the veto comp. Lauren and Will were picked to play along with Rachel, Mickey, Morgan, Vince, and Rylie to host. But the OTEV character serves as host for that comp, so Rylie's about to be a takeover victim, again.Feeds came back around 3.15pm and Lauren won the veto. Competitors were very messy as they did the shower wait rotation. OTEV was the Hogfather this time, which would be the first character repeat, since it was a pig once before. They had to hunt for rats with evictee names, and it was over in three rounds - two better than last year, but still pretty sad. Vince lost his temper when he went out. Molasses, mud, newspapers, and manure were involved. ![]() Everyone said it was fun and they were glad they got to play in the iconic comp. Kelley came into the bathroom to wipe the gunk off Lauren's veto medallion and Morgan snapped when she left "that girl doesn't let anyone just breathe! I'm pissed!" Katherine complained about having to sit on a real tree trunk with splinters, adding "I got sap all over my ass, I'm just a spectator!" Vince griped about losing another comp but he sounded more frustrated than angry. Ava went on a whispery anti-Ashley rant to Will, saying "her mouth will take care of itself, I don't need to do anything." Rachel met with Keanu and said she doesn't want the veto used since there's nobody else to put up, and Keanu told her he only 100% trusts her and Vince, "that's it." Keanu pitched to Lauren to not use her veto, with Kelley present. Lauren didn't offer much input until Kelley asked her directly if she's thinking of using it? Lauren said "I don't think so." When Keanu left to report to Vince, Kelley told Lauren that Keanu would put up Morgan, Ashley, Will if he wins HOH, and she said "I will expose his game like that" if/when that happens. And she said she'll need Lauren's help later to take out Keanu and Rachel, and that she plans to "stack her noms" to achieve that via the backdoor. Lauren asked Kelley if she knows how Keanu feels about her? Kelley said "I don't want to say indifferent, but your name doesn't come up a lot." Oof. Kelley's "welcome to the party" line after noms yesterday became an issue today. Elsewhere, Ashley pushed Rachel to renom Keanu. Vince met with Lauren and she said Mickey asked her to throw the comp to her, and Vince said she and Morgan wanted him to ask her to throw it before the comp, but he didn't. He said Keanu planned to convince Lauren not to use her veto but would make her think it was her decision, and Lauren said "he's such a friggin'.." Vince said Lauren would have gone up as renom if needed if she hadn't won veto, and he got a little frantic as he continued to pressure her, saying Rachel said she wanted to play Big Brother so Lauren should say the same, and say she's saving Vince because he's her friend. Lauren said she's worried Rachel would be mad and Vince said "I don't give a fuck about Rachel!" (That followed Vince repeatedly saying Rachel hates him but he doesn't know why.) Most of the others enjoyed burgers while Vince kept going. Lauren said she'll think about it, and both said Rachel scares them. Vince's word count ratio to Lauren's was probably 1,000 to 1, or more, and she said she'll hold her conversations tomorrow. Mickey tearily told Kelley her feelings were "really hurt" from Kelley telling Rachel she was getting close to Mickey, and she could use that, and especially after everyone wanted Kelley out but Mickey said she deserves another chance. And also for the "welcome to the party" line after noms. Kelley apologized, saying she just says things without thinking sometimes, and they had a mutual shmooze session as Kelley helped Mickey oil her scalp. Morgan met with Rachel to say - sorry, I have no idea, I didn't listen. Ashley told Will that keeping Morgan makes more sense than keeping Mickey, but she can't go against Mickey. Katherine pushed Lauren to not use her veto, and went down a few anti-Mickey tangents. Lauren said her initial reaction was not to use it. Rachel and Ashley tried to get Keanu to do a peel-off face mask, or let them give him eye shadow, or plump his lips, but he tried some cheek flaps and drew the line at that. He turned down a farty convo path that had both Ashley and Rachel laughing, and horrified, and he shmoozed Ashley hard by talking about wanting to keep Mickey. Mickey pulled out her M&Ms for Katherine and whispered at her for an hour. Katherine woke up Rylie to say "she brought out the fuckin M&Ms" and that Mickey said Keanu wants the showmance broken up, and she wants Katherine to get Lauren to pull someone down so Keanu can go up and out. Rylie got heated and cussed up a storm, and threatened to call out Keanu, Kelley, Mickey, and said Katherine shouldn't be talking game to them, and he asked her if she has a problem with him. She said no, she's stressed out and just telling him what happened, and "my brain is just fried." And Katherine said Kelley told her that she, Keanu, Rachel have an alliance - that one's not even been formalized yet. Keanu came along and Rylie said he was irritated, but he did not call out Keanu or even say why he was irritated. Morgan told Mickey they don't have a mustard seed but they have "the faith of an M&M, since that's all we have to work with." Rachel shared her HOH hard seltzer with Will and Ashley, and Will "wore" the wall decor like a little hat.If you missed what came before, click "Previous Hamsterwatch episode" up top, or hit my season index page.
