Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 39 - Friday - August 15, 2025

Last night Rachel asked why all the HOHs had one-on-one pre-nom meetings, saying it never used to happen. I know she checks feeds and keeps up outside of the episodes, but that tells me she hasn't seen Friday feeds the last few years. I wish I could say the same. Nevertheless, she dressed for them, like she does. Mickey's meeting was polite but had contentious undertones. Mickey called out "yes?" when someone rang the HOH doorbell (entering her third week of HOHitis? Unprecedented.) And when Rachel asked who was targeting her (Rachel) last week, adding "maybe it was BB paranoia," Mickey said "you've been playing this game a thousand years." Oof. Mickey suggested Rachel could put up the showmance. Rylie and Katherine then met with Rachel as a duo, with Rachel boosting up their showmance and saying they remind her of her and Brendon. (The fanbase recoiled in horror at that, but Rachel has been shmoozing them about their 'mance for a few weeks. She knows it's not good to keep a couple in there for long, unless they think you're with them.) Lauren's meeting was as they always are, with her talking in super slo-mo filled with pauses, and not really saying much, other than she feels closest to Rylie game-wise. Rachel said she'd like to work with Lauren, who replied "I feel like it would be just so iconic." Really?

Keanu met with Rachel and they pretty much repeated their meeting from last night. He pushed working with Kelley, Katherine, Rylie, Vince again, she said that's too many people again, and he said he'd already talked to Vince about it. Rachel asked if he wins veto, would he keep her noms the same, and "are you with me over anyone else?" Keanu said he would, but he also said if Vince is up as a pawn they need five votes to get out whoever her target is. He said their biggest threat is Mickey and her anti-Rachel agenda as well as her influence on others. Rachel said she knows what she wants to do and needs to believe he's on board with her, and he proceeded to tell her about some prior season events again, as if he's the vet and she's the rookie. He said "yes I will lock in a final two with you" and Rachel thanked him, but added "it's Week 6" and she still didn't formalize it. Keanu told Rachel to use pawn terminology if she puts up Vince, and she said she might go in a completely different direction. He said "don't blow this house up." I say let's go, blow it to smithereens.

Morgan went on an anti-Rachel rant to Lauren, and to Vince, and to Ashley and Mickey, about her pantry confrontation last Sunday, with an emphasis on Rachel saying "you can tell your friends that" about having seen better and played better. Morgan had a problem with her saying friends, plural. (This could be the new Keanu called her a snake for the mid-season, since she's finally let that one drop, mostly.) Ashley, Mickey, Morgan, Will all wore bright, reddish-orange this morning. I don't know if that was planned or subconscious teaming, and/or shmoozing Rachel with her reddish-orange dress. Keanu reported some of his Rachel meeting to Vince, including that he'd told her to make sure Vince knows he's a pawn if she puts him up, and that they'd need another vote if he stays on the block. Morgan and Vince met, both expecting to hit the block, and both said they were never coming for Rachel. Once again, you couldn't make it up if you tried.

Rachel changed into her nominations outfit, a bejeweled red tulip-like gown, and she and Ava carried a big tub of her HOH food downstairs for the house to share. She and Mickey then sat down for another very long round of pre-noms rehash. The main points and rebuttals included Mickey not offering Rachel a grilled cheese sandwich Wednesday night (Mickey said she knew Rachel wouldn't want one); Mickey saying she doesn't want Rachel in jury (Mickey said that was a compliment); Rachel telling Kelley she was trying to ice out Mickey (Kelley retelling that to Mickey raising a separate concern); and Mickey putting Jimmy up and out. Mickey speed-talked Reasons, excuses, and explanations for all that and additional accusations, rather than acknowledging or apologizing, though she did slip a couple sorrys in there. Rachel asking others to do steps with her but not asking Mickey also came up. Rachel said she was unsure what to do as she feels she's on an island and doesn't have a home. Mickey said Ava and Will would be hurt to hear that, and Rachel said she does feel she has a home with them. Oof. And Mickey said Rachel had been intimidating "but I've started to see the human in you." Also, recall that Mickey's been on an intense anti-Rachel crusade for a couple weeks, but she told Rachel she's never disliked or disrespected her, and said "whatever you do today I will respect it, I will respect your HOH and I respect you." We'll see.

Feeds finally went to adoptable anipals around 3.20pm for nominations. Rachel put up Mickey, Morgan, Vince, saying "you're trying to control the house and I can't let that happen" for Mickey. The reactions were strong, and Mickey did not in fact respect Rachel's nominations. Feeds came back to Morgan yapping at Rachel about how she's been playing for other people and needs to start playing her own game, she loves Rachel as a person, and etc etc. Mickey was angry crying/ranting to Ashley, Ava, Will, who made sympathetic noises and said they were shocked and didn't understand why Mickey went up, as if they all forgot her continual anti-Rachel rants and M&M diagrams. Ashley said Kelley was smiling after noms and Mickey said "Kelley literally hugged me and said welcome to the party." Mickey cry-ranted that Rachel's "exactly who she was 15 years ago: nasty, manipulating, and conniving and I'll say that to her face," and "I'm not a yes woman, and I'm not gonna stroke her ego, I don't care about her feelings anymore. I'm done being nice, I don't care," and "she's the oldest one in the house." Will said no, he's older, and Mickey said about Rachel "you're 40, you shouldn't even be here, go home to your children." She was called to Diary (they like to get them while the tears are fresh) and the others told her to keep it classy in there.

Rachel re-interrogated Keanu about the Heavy Hitters telephone game, and she said she's training him for The Challenge. He said that show's a bunch of alpha males and females, and added "I'm not super alpha male." Rachel asked "have you met yourself?" Keanu said her speech was savage and she asked if it was too much? Kelley said it'll be an iconic moment of the season. Rachel told Rylie she kept him and Katherine safe to build and prove trust for the future. Ava told Rachel she likes Mickey but understands her noms. Former egg Vince tried to cook some eggs but it didn't go well. He took his nomination a lot better than he did last week, so that's something.

Ashley told Rachel that Mickey was never coming for her (what?!) and that she was really hurt by the nomination, and she hopes Rachel will win veto so she can take Mickey down (what?!) She said Keanu and Kelley were the pot stirrers and they'd pitted Rachel and Mickey against each other. When Rachel cycled back to Mickey booting out Jimmy, Ashley said Jimmy didn't even like Rachel until Week 3 (what?!) Ashley circled all of it back to Zach somehow. This talk went for probably an hour and Ashley had toilet paper hanging out of her pants for the entirety, with a lot of camera zooms on it. It looked like Rachel noticed it when Ashley came out of her bathroom before they started. When Ashley finally found out it was there she was suitably mortified, and Rachel laughed so hard she could barely breathe. Elsewhere, Morgan started up an anti-Lauren campaign, acting offended because Lauren and Zach were supposedly so close but Lauren didn't even vote to keep him. (Neither did Morgan.)

Ashley and Morgan exchanged rehashes and retells in the bunk bed room, unaware of Ava in a top bunk. She looked like she was sleeping, like she does, but she wasn't and she later told Will she didn't know why Mickey's now saying she never did or said anything against Rachel. Ava said "lying isn't helping her" and Will said "we don't need that smoke." Ava later told Rachel some of what she overheard, adding that she hasn't trusted Ashley for awhile, and they retold some of Mickey's slights and controlling tendencies last week, including Grilled Cheesegate, which Rachel acknowledged was stupid but it still happened. And she said she hopes Mickey doesn't go home, it would make the house more boring. Prior to that, Mickey, Morgan, Vince were gossiping in the lounge and Rachel joined, plopping down in the middle of them to cause discomfort and awkwardness. Kelley told Lauren about Grilled Cheesegate, and that Mickey had intentionally not set aside a meatless version of whatever she made for dinner tonight. (That's true: during prep, Mickey told Morgan that Kelley can "pick out the meat with tweezers." Oof.) Kelley also told Lauren she can convince Rachel and Keanu who should be renom, if one is needed. Keanu talked to Vince about various veto comps he practices in his head, and he suddenly did an OTEV impression that was unexpected and perfect. Tomorrow is the OTEV veto comp, so hopefully we'll hear more of that tomorrow night.

Day 38 - Thursday - August 14, 2025

Catching up last night, Mickey and Morgan ran to the upstairs lounge after Zach told Mickey about his $10k veto, and that Morgan already knew about it. That part didn't cause the ripple effect I thought it might, especially after Mickey was on a tear the other day about Morgan not telling her things. Mickey said Zach hadn't told her the part about his cash going to the HOH if/when he uses his power, which may be true and if so, it was likely just an oversight on his part due to rushing the explanation. M and M's M&Ms came out and they replayed their 1,000 scenarios, with Mickey eventually asking what does Zach having that power do for them, Mickey and Morgan? They ended up talking about voting him out today, but I don't think they finalized that (and it would be unlike them to finalize anything before they had to).

Morning anipals came early which had me wondering, but then they came again at the usual time(s) for a Thursday so the early one was likely maintenance of some kind? I ran some errands and came back to find Zach clutching and nuzzling Lauren, which was more surprising than what I paid for coffee. He might have been saying his good-byes, whether just-in-case or because he'd had some tips that he didn't have all the votes he thought, I don't know. Elsewhere, Rachel was working hard to try to convince Keanu Buttler not to throw the Block Buster comp, but he was resisting. The WTFery of this season can't even be measured. Julie posted a preview of the Block Buster, which is rearranging oversize blocks by color onto four spindles. Vince Egg could have a tough time with that if the guys have to wear their costumes since his reach is limited, but maybe they'll let him wear his soft shell and ear flaps hat.

The show recap segments included Zach telling Morgan about his pocket veto but not Mickey, Mickey's raging case of HOHitis lasting well past her HOH week, and a clever black and white noir-style edit of Vince Egg roaming the house with voice-over narration that included puns by the dozen. The Block Buster comp was titled Jumbo Gemstones, and it was as Julie demo'd earlier. Vince was relieved of his egg to do it and he didn't even have to wear his jammies, but Keanu Buttler wore his. Keanu Buttler won it, so either his competitive spirit wouldn't let him throw it, or Rachel got through to him and made him see sense. The sobbing started as the three guys re-entered the house, Vince Egg back in his full getup, and he and Zach collapsed into each other and cried.

Zach made it through his nominee speech but Vince Egg choked up at the end of his, each of them boosting up the other. Desperately sad Zach sitting next to Vince Egg was the most ridiculous and wonderful thing ever. The votes were sadly cast, the shoutouts gleefully shouted, and Zach was evicted 8-2, with Rachel and Will the dissenters. Most of them broke down as they hugged him good-bye, and Zach whispered "thank you" to each as he made the teary rounds. He went out in good spirits, and he got through a couple questions from Julie before she mentioned his unused $10k veto. She asked him to lean forward a bit, which she did, and she whacked him on the head with her cards like she did Marcellas so many years ago, and it was nice to see her revive that much-needed tradition. (Along the way she faux choked Lawon for a similar blunder.) There was no mention of the wall comp or anything else unusual for next week, except that the veto will be OTEV.

I never want to hear a peep about the "costume curse" again because it's simply not a thing. But the first-to-enter curse remains intact for non-celebrity Big Brother USA. Sorry Zach.

Feeds didn't come back til 11pm, and Rachel had won the HOH. They said the comp ran about two hours and finished not long before we joined them. It was a detail memory comp where they had to go to different "rooms" and they had questions about which objects were where, and how many. Rachel gave us a grin in the pantry as she talked in the pantry with Keanu and Vince. Those two weren't in their costumes and it became clear they'd been excused from buttler and egg duties early - good for them, bad for us. Rachel was called to Diary and Keanu said "go queen!" She did, and Vince said he's sure he'll go up, and they started counting votes. Already. Mickey and Morgan talked in the lounge and Mickey said Morgan did good in the comp (she finished second). Kelley consoled a sad Lauren and said she understood how she felt because she felt bad when Adrian got the boot. Ashley, Ava, Will had a whispery meeting about shaky alliances, with some anti-Mickey comments, and Ashley said "we're losing the plot, let's fight after we get the other fuckers out." And they said they were happy for Rachel, that "she needed that boost," which they repeated to Rachel when she joined. She said she'd be sad if Mickey went home, and Ashley said Vince is scared of Rachel.

Vince told Rachel he figures he'll go on the block again, and he asked her to go easy on him with her speech. Rachel said Ava already took care of that, and Vince asked "can I go front door so I can play veto?" Rachel laughed and said "you think you're that important?" [to backdoor]. Both laughed, and Vince said he's not been making all kinds of alliances to go against Rachel. (Sure Jan.) Vince met with Morgan and they said they were sure Zach would have gone to F5, even F2. Vince said "that was such a stupid fuckin HOH" because neither Zach nor he would have targeted Ava, but Vince will now. Morgan said Zach told her if he'd won the veto, he'd have used it on Vince. She omitted the part about his pocket veto. They were joined by Keanu and Kelley, and Morgan said in a tiny voice how hard it was to choose between her best friends, and losing one, "but if you look sad people complain you're too emotional." Keep your tiny violins handy. Mickey told Katherine about Rachel asking to be put up during her HOH week, referring to the "Ava" convo. Lauren talked to Kelley and Rachel and wondered if she and Zach might have a future together.

Rachel changed into a glam outfit with green cape and bow for her HOH room reveal, and said it was custom made for her, and designed by her with a designer friend whose name she couldn't remember. She pulled Kelley into Have-not room to soft pitch an F2, and she said she knows what she needs to do and it'll shake up the house. Kelley said she'd like to go as far as she can with Rylie, but she liked Katherine better before the showmance. Kelley did her usual offer to be a pawn if needed and Rachel basically said stop volunteering to do that, and they wondered if they should do the F3 with Keanu since he's such a good competitor and seems loyal to them. Keanu cycled in for Kelley and said he figures Rachel will put up Vince, and she said she doesn't think she will, but she knows what she will do. He said with Vince, Kelley, Rylie, Katherine, they're five votes and can get out whoever she wants. She said he needs to stop blabbing to Vince and gave him examples when he did, and said she's his best chance to win at F2 but he had to stop being so messy. When she left, he said "noted, noted." Katherine told Rylie she cares about him so much, he treats her so well, and he broke down crying in the shower.

Rachel got her room around 2am, and she crumpled when she walked in seeing her family pics. She read her lovely letter from Brendon which had encouragement, news of the kids, and a lot of love. She choked up a lot but got through it, and said it was her best BB27 moment, aww. Her music is Britney Spears, her booze is hard seltzer, and of course she got the usual assortment of snacks, treats, frozen foods, and cosmetics.

4th evicted - Day 31

He was the 2nd HOH but like Vince the prior week, he was over-allied and self-painted into a corner, so he put up his bestie Rachel's bestie Amy as renom pawn, and off she went. He worked hard at being sassy and campy, especially to and with Rachel, but she pulls it off without even trying and his comedy usually felt more performative than entertaining. But at least he put in an effort, which is more than most of them this year. His dress-up noms were almost as cringe as Todrick's, and that was magnified by his resentment when he hit the block a couple weeks later. He was a good sidekick for Rachel and liked by most of them.

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1/0 - HN 0

Adrian Rocha - 23 24
Instagram
Single - fan applicant
Carpenter
San Antonio, TX

3rd evicted - Day 24

His pre-season stuff was wild, with his homemade wall comp and boisterous personality, but that guy didn't show up, maybe due to the syndrome of everyone being center-of-attention types and there just isn't enough limelight for everyone. His comp skills were good and he would have been a better choice for Rachel's protegé than Keanu but they had zero rapport, and Adrian's social game was absent with almost everyone. He had his moments with his emotional support bread and issues with doors, but he harped about honesty and loyalty too much so maybe this just wasn't the show for him. But he's a good guy and I wish him well.

Won: Day 1 accomplice

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1/0 - HN 1

Amy Bingham - 43
Instagram
Single, 3 kids - fan applicant, prior callback, casual feedster
Insurance agent
Stockton, CA

2nd evicted - Day 17

She didn't do as much as some in the 'older woman' casting slot before her, but she got away with being the move-in Accomplice by doing a few tasks without being caught. She and Rachel bonded quickly and tightly as fellow moms, but their closeness made a target of Amy and she got the boot to weaken Rachel's game. She was generally liked in there, and she cried a lot but she handled slop well. She got out by the July 31 deadline to get her job of 20 years back, if she wants it.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

Isaiah "Zae" Frederich - 23
Instagram
Single - applied for TAR
Salesperson
Provo, UT Phoenix, AZ (orig Paducah, KY)

1st evicted - Day 10

It's nice to get a brojock out early, especially first, and between constantly exhibiting his muscles and his smarts, he didn't do much to help prevent that. He didn't lay down to die when he hit the block so that's something, but he campaigned repetitively and relentlessly, holding voters hostage for hours at a time and talking 100 mph at them without pausing for breath. He landed himself on TMZ and tangled with Rachel, and that's about all he'll be remembered for.

GAME TWISTS

Day 1: Rachel joined the cast and the game.

Day 1: Amy was a secret accomplice. She wasn't identified by a majority of players (or any of them) so remained in the game.

Day 1: Zach won BB Buy-off in Find Julie move-in comp. He got $10k, but if he's on the block at the end of veto meeting any week before jury, he can buy safety. HOH will get the $10k and have to name another nominee.
 > Unused, he went home with the $10k

Day 1: Rachel had first week immunity and automatic Have-not. The other HNs (Ava, Will, Zach) also had immunity.

Day 10: Keanu won Mystery Competitor in HOH comp: an alum will play veto on his behalf if he's on the block, before jury.
 > Used Day 12: Kaycee played for him, and won.

Day 10: Kelley won Mystery Veto in HOH comp: can play an individual challenge to win a second veto to save herself or someone else on the block, before jury.
 > Used Day 14: won her challenge and took herself off the block.

Day 10: Mickey won HOH Interrogation in HOH comp: can anonymously dethrone reigning HOH, who can interrogate everyone and make an official guess who did it. If correct, they're back to HOH and if not, she reveals herself and becomes HOH, before jury.
 > Used Day 24/25: took over Rylie's HOH.

-Day 83 September 28: Finale

BB27 finalist prizes are likely the same: $750k for the winner, $75k for 2nd place, and probably still $10k for 3rd, $7.5k for 4th, $5k for 5th.
Stipend is probably still $1k per week for all except finalists, including pre-season sequester. Stuntcasts may get more.

The habitat has 112 HD cameras (up 18) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only senior staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
