Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 74 - Saturday - October 14, 2023

They were told there'd be no veto draw this morning. Instead there'd be two competitions with two vetos awarded. Everyone would play in the first, and it sounded like the winner of that would sit out the second. Recall I was told veto would be played in the sets/streets outside the habitat like Nether Gorgon, but now I don't know if that would be one or both comps. Matt's Have-not office reopened with both Blue and Felicia pitching to him to save them if he wins, and both wanting to work with him and Jag to the end, and etc etc. Matt played along with each of them, like he does. Blue retold to America, and Felicia retold to Cirie, including that Matt had told her he'd keep her but would lie to Blue and tell her the same.

Feeds went to adoptable anipals for both comps at 11.47am and returned at 6.40pm. Jag won the first comp which was called BB Training Academy, and it was the one where they hang on spinny ropes and get banged into something, which ran about two hours. Winning that came with the advantage that he'll be second to use his veto at the veto meeting. Blue finished second in that comp, and America third. Bowie, who'd been wishing for a physical comp, had motion sickness issues from the spinning and dropped second after Felicia, and she was followed by Cirie. Blue won the other comp which sounded like it was estimating Jag's time on the first, maybe with a stay or fold component? I couldn't follow the bits I heard about that one. Bowie put some Icy Hot on Blue's sore back and Jag's sore arms, and Cory made himself some spaghetti noodles.

Felicia got 24 hour solitary confinement in the comic room, with a tented chemical toilet like they've used in the past, and PB&J for food. Cirie moved out and up to Have-not, and Felicia told Mister B/herself/us that she wasn't able to campaign from there but if she went out next, it'd be on Day 79 and she'd be okay with that. Cirie also got a consequence that sounded like she'll have to change into a superhero costume periodically through the night, in a newly-installed phone booth under the stairs. Those consequences came from choosing cards from the second comp I think, and Felicia chose first. Jag and Matt met in Matt's Have-not office where Jag first suggested he just tell Blue he was the HOH who put her up, then Matt suggested he go up as renom in Blue's place, and then Jag would take him down with his veto, and maybe put up Cory? Those were just first drafts and Blue joined them, so the conversation turned to half-plans and half-truths with nothing confirmed yet. Chances are nothing will be confirmed for awhile because they'll talk talk talk it to death.

Cirie had put on her superhero suit at some point but I didn't even realize it because she had her trusty gray robe over it. She got a signal telling her to suit up and roll across the yard and back again. She dropped the robe, added a mask, gloves, boots, and rolled around to cheers from the crowd. Cory told Jag he was getting tired of Felicia so maybe they should just go ahead and send her out. Jag and Matt then discussed taking down Felicia and putting up Cory and America in her and Blue's places, with Cory the target. They acknowledged that would give Jag bloody hands, and of course they had more complex discussions for what to say to whom. Cory joined them and continued pre-campaigning by laughing about sending Felicia to jury house with Cameron. Jag told Bowie he'd tell Blue and Cirie he's the HOH, and that he was planning to put up Cory and America, and that he'd leave Bowie's name out of it. Jag did later tell Cirie, and she thanked him for the confidence, and for keeping her safe, and he told her he was planning to put up Cory and America. Meanwhile Cory told America, Bowie, Jag, Matt about Dan's funeral and how it followed 24 hours of solitary, and that there were two vetos that week, adding "I think [Felicia]'s cooking in there."

Blue, Jag, Matt laughed about America and Cory doing their bed business with Matt in the room, but he laughed and said he's deaf, he won't hear any of it. Blue joked about her and Jared staying undercovers for their "rock paper scissors" activities, and how America and/or Cory had been shocked to hear the first time she and Jared kissed was when he was evicted. (So untrue, but it's become a running gag.) Matt went off to bed, and Jag told Blue he was the HOH, and she said "put up Cory." Jag said he was going to do exactly that, along with America, and he apologized for putting up Blue in the first place. She was thrilled to hear it, and Jag went on to explain and rehash, as did she. So everyone except Cory, America, Felicia has now been told, which would mean a whole lot of backtracking if plans change.

Day 75 - Sunday - October 15, 2023

If Cirie had to do any tasks overnight, I didn't hear about them. They were led to believe she would and that's why she moved to Have-not room, so her task signals wouldn't annoy whatever roomies she was with. This morning Blue told Bowie she'd just realized she was the first woman to win a veto this season, and they also said most of the veto comps had been physical and guys were usually picked to play. Jag retold his tell-all convo with Blue to Matt, until they were joined by Cory. They told him Cirie thought she'd be the renom. They all complained of soreness from the rope spinny comp, which may have been the reason for the stretching in this pic, but it also looks like Jag and Matt were trying extra hard to appear nonchalant.. heh. Cory continued his anti-Felicia campaign, and continued dropping tiny bombs in general convos, including a retell of some older messy reality show where one person said their competitor was "old and tired." Cirie told America she was nervous because you never know, and Mecole had originally gone on the block as a pawn. Bowie told Matt and Jag they should study with Cory and America today to pick up whatever info bits they could, while they could.

Morning moved into afternoon like a regular season, with hamsters lazing around the pool and enjoying the sun, and no scrambling about the vetos, indicating the plan to put up Cory and America was likely to stick. Normally this cast would be nonstop scurrying and whispering on a Sunday, unless a secret plan was afoot (like last week). Cirie said she was missing Felicia and her laugh, and she and Blue griped and gossiped some about Bowie, America, and Cory. Cirie's spare suit was delivered, and she started thinking about and making dinner plans for pot roast. If there were any glimpses of Felicia in her solitary comics room, I missed them. Normally in the past we have gotten peeks of whatever hamsters were in solitary. (For those keeping track, they were BB7 Danielle, BB12 Hayden, BB13 Shelly, BB14 Dan, BB15 Judd, BB23 Xavier.)

Matt finally got some swim goggles but they weren't good and filled up with water immediately. He swam a few laps anyway but the BB pool is far from an Olympics training facility. It took him three strokes to cross it, and he kept hitting his hands on the bottom. Still, it was clear he enjoyed being in his element again, and the others did as well. America and Cory may or may not suspect they're in trouble but they each did some extra socializing today as if they did suspect. Cory suggested (jokingly I think) to Matt that he should have a fake screaming match with Jag after he goes on the block then comes down again (the fake plan Cory was told would happen). America wondered who Felicia would even campaign to this week. Cirie may have had a few task signals but they weren't on feeds if so, and neither was Felicia. Gametalk finally picked up again around 4pm with Jag giving Cirie a rehash of his convo with Blue, and saying he was concerned Blue might hold a grudge. Cirie said she probably wouldn't, adding "in this game, if you hold animosities wrongfully, it could cost you everything." She said she felt good with Jag and Matt and moving forward with them, and Jag reciprocated.

Felicia was sprung from solitary but her release was blocked from feeds, like so many things have been this year, needlessly. They may have sent Cirie on a superhero rescue mission to free her. (If they didn't do that, they should have.) Jag didn't waste any time in telling her he was the HOH, and that both she and Blue would be coming off the block tomorrow to be replaced by America and Cory. It turns out the breaking point for Jag (and the rest of them) was America and Cory cuddling, canoodling, and giggling while Jag and Blue were spinning their guts out, and then Cory and America were happily retelling that they'd done that. Of course it's Big Brother and reasons for targeting anyone aren't necessarily the actual Reasons. Matt told Blue about the fake story to appease Cory and America by telling them Matt would be going on the block as the first renom and then get pulled off immediately to be replaced by Cirie. Blue later told Felicia and Cirie about the fake plan/story. Felicia and Blue celebrated together, and compared notes, gossip, and gripes. The hot tub finally got hot enough for America, Cory, Bowie, Jag to hang out in it for awhile, and later Matt got in it as Jag told him and Bowie that he'd filled in Felicia with the news.

The last two Sundays they got booze in the afternoon to fuel the selfie camera weekly question, but the camera came out earlier while Felicia was still in lockup. Booze then arrived later, just before 9pm. That didn't lead to much of anything unusual. They mostly hung around chatting in groups of twos and threes, with several rounds of sniping about other twos and threes.

Barring anything unusual happening overnight or in the morning, Blue will use her veto on herself and Jag will use his on Felicia, and he'll "invisibly" put Cory and America on the block. Feeds came back from veto meeting at 12.35pm and 12.51pm the last two Mondays, so plan your day accordingly and bring popcorn.

Ratings - Comic Week exquisite edition

Ratings are my suggestions for comics concepts - arrows are based on entertainment value

BB Comics art by Tom Nguyen @tomnguyenart - Concepts by BB production

Noms count: original/renom/twist

Props to Julie for playing along so well with the 'exquisite' game. Matt had asked for ideas for a new compliment word to give her when voting and when 'exquisite' was suggested, they all decided to go with it. Julie didn't miss a beat and it all turned out to be a fun variation of the usual routine voting segment. I'm curious if Julie ad libbed that or if she'd been given a heads-up about it, and whether it told her those Thursday compliments are basically hollow, since they were planned out before they even saw her Casual Thursday look. And I wonder why Cory lied to the rest of them about being the only non-exquisite one.

The down arrow is for not including a secrecy requirement for the invisible HOH twist this week. Since it's a well-known fact nobody in there can keep their traps shut about anything, the huge potential for fun feeds and paranoia fell flat when Jag told all but two of them it was him, and before noms. And I think it would have been a much better twist earlier in the season when there were more of them.

Won: Dinner guest

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 2

27 - Applicant - Single
Medical receptionist - Brooklyn NY

Night-Merica

I'd have had her be Kiss of Death. She's talked about her former bad kissing and 'washing machine' technique a lot, and it's been used on the show, along with her ongoing smak-smakking with Cory, so this could have been a cute comic with various lethal lip-lock consequences included in the panel.

Won: $1,000; Movie guest

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/0/0 - HN 1

25 - Recruit - Single
Brand strategist - New York, NY

Kitty Kitty Purr

Kitty Kitty Purr was fine, though getting a bit tired and stale by now, but the comic looks terrific and very much like her. But I think I'd have gone with something like Kitty Two-Face since her Diary persona is so completely opposite from her day-to-day persona. And two-face characters are a staple for comics, right?

Won: Netherland Day 11; a pressure cooker

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

45 46 - Applicant - Single
Barrister/DJ - Los Angeles, CA

The Bowie-Rang

Enough with the Australian stereotypes and puns! She's from down under, we get it. My suggestion is Unbothered Boss. She's mostly been uninvolved in the ongoing alliance stew, and has been on the outskirts when she was part of it, but does she care? NAUR! She's just happy to be there. Comics were surely decided before her HOH week but when it came down to business, she's the one who got out everyone's #1 threat. Like a boss.

Won: Dinner guest; Invincibility vote; 48 hours kayak with Felicia; 1 week Superhero suit and tasks

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

53 - Recruit/stuntcast - Married, 3 sons
Surgical director
Norwalk, CT

Robe-Bot

I actually love Robe-bot for her, especially since so many people take issue with her constant robe-wearing (I'm looking at you, Evel Dick!) But hey she's just hanging around 'home' for 100 days and it's cold in there, so why not be comfy? She fondly called it Ol' Gray Girl when she was stuck in the kayak and said she couldn't wait to get back into it.

Won: Netherland Day 1; Invincibility vote

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 3

21 22 - Applicant/stuntcast - Single
College student - Ft Lauderdale, FL

Alba-Cory

I don't even understand Alba-cory, and I'm fond of albacore tuna. Game-bot would have made two robot comics along with Cirie's, but it's the only thing 100% applicable for him, in my opinion. I don't like showmances but I'm glad he gets a little downtime with America because otherwise he wouldn't take any breaks at all from his constant scenario-running, stats-reciting, and all the rest.

Won: 24 18 hours slimings; Dinner guest; 48 hours kayak with Cirie; 24 hrs solitary

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 4/0/1 - HN 1

63 - Applicant - Married, 1 son
Real estate agent - Kennesaw, GA

; Kayak Attack

She was great in the kayak but how could they not have gone with Cackling Cooker? She could bonk enemies with frying pans and strangle them with streamers of her long shopping lists, loudly laughing with her entire body all the while.

Won: $5,000; Netherland Day 10; Week 2 immunity; 1 week chicken suit; Invincibility vote; Day 30 revival; Movie guest

HOH 1 - Veto 4 - Noms 2/1/0 - HN 1

25 - Applicant - Single
Truck company owner/realtor - Omak, WA

Cock-a-Doodle Zoom

Jag suggested the Turbanator himself on feeds some time ago and it seemed a slam dunk, but they went with the chicken suit. Fair enough, but they could have included that in the panel too, as he used the long ends of his turbans like a bullwhip to take out his enemies. Maybe they figured it would be controversial or offensive and if so, fair enough. He did make a good chicken.

Won: Invincibility vote and power; 1 week 5 days Duhamel-a-maniac; Movie guest

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

27 - Recruit - Single
Deaflympics gold medalist - Baton Rouge, LA

Pool-Tergeist

NOBODY needed a reminder of Paulie peeing in the pool (hot tub). Ever again. I'd have gone with something like The Principal since he took over the Have-not room ages ago as his personal office to have talks and meetings. His comic could have included people being 'sent to the principal's office' where they'd meet their doom in a doggie bed.

Won: Europe trip; 1 week 5 days piggy suit; 2000 cups of dirt with Izzy; 1 week post-eviction zombie; Zombie advantage; Day 58 revival; Movie screening with 3 guests

HOH 3 - Veto 2 - Noms 3/2/0 - HN 0

34 - Applicant - Separated, 1 daughter
Stay-at-home dad - Eastman, GA

1st juror - 8th evicted - Day 72

The Hair Raiser

Comp beast yes, but his social game was a disaster. He never tired of reminding them he was on the block or HOH every week, which didn't help reduce his target. He had two modes: cocky winner or gloomy loser, the former resulting in lengthy How To Play BB lectures that were transparently self-serving. He had peculiar attitudes towards/about both Reilly and America, and the only tight bond he formed was with Red. His lack of self-awareness was never more apparent than when he said 'Cory always has to be the smartest person in a room' - somebody buy this man a mirror.

Won: Dinner with 3 guests

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

30 - Applicant - Newlywed
Political consultant - Upper Marlboro, MD

7th evicted - Day 65

Mecolamity

She laid low at the start, which can be good strategy, but then she stayed low throughout the middle game, which is not. She was a charter member of Professors but didn't adapt when it fell apart, and while she was well-liked by all, she didn't form strong bonds on the side like her fellow Brown Sugar Babes did. She put more effort into making her teacher job-lie convincing than she did in her BB game, but her semi-regular rants about the overall stupidity of everyone and the season made her a star for Team Fun Feeds.

Won: Netherland Day 9; 1 week post-eviction zombie

HOH 2 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 2

25 - Applicant/stuntcast - Single
Exterminator - Norwalk, CT

6th evicted - Day 58

Muffin Hands

Izzy could have ratted out his and Cirie's secret and didn't, but Jared mucked up a built-in advantage by continually doing and saying way too much. He hooked up with Blue and spilled his secret to her, but neglected to tell Cirie he had. His relationships with Blue and/or his (ex?) girlfriend are none of my business, but it was an ongoing and interesting side story. He got a free bonus week after he was evicted but failed to make it work for him. His and Cirie's mother-and-son moments were sweet and pure, and that's rare on any season.

Won: 1 week 5 days piggy suit; 2000 cups of dirt with Cameron

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 2

32 - Applicant - Has a girlfriend
Flutist - New York, NY

5th evicted - Day 44

Dizzy Izzy

She clocked Cirie and Jared in a minute, and she quickly went from being a Cirie fan to a devoted ally and surrogate daughter. She made no secret of it and that didn't go unnoticed. She was often manic, chaotic, and cracked, and her animated conversations and limitless facial expressions became their own side game. She later calmed down under Cirie's mentorship and they drove the first half of the game, not always to their benefit. She was a never-a-dull-moment hamster and that's always good for fun feeds.

Won: 1 year P+ and home theater

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

37 38 - Recruit - Has a girlfriend, 3 kids
Sales/TikTokker - Gatlinburg, TN

4th evicted - Day 37

The Chill-Billy

He was a caricature of himself on the episodes but he was more genuine on feeds. His and Cameron's bromance was like some over-countrified afterschool special and when they broke up, the tinkly piano shifted to a broken banjo string twang. He said some inappropriate things, he provided baked goods, and he was a good sport about his birthday roast. He was a victim of the heavily layered and interwoven alliance mess, so this feller had to skedaddle back to hawkin' moonshine in Gatlinburg.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 1

45 - Applicant - Divorced
Geriatric physician/burlesquer - Seattle, WA

3rd evicted - Day 23

Ha-Ha Hisam

He painted a target on himself by winning the first two vetos and the second HOH, and he knew that. He started out fun and lively but he got HOHitis so bad his own alliance orchestrated a blindside plan to put him up and out. His campaign pitches were painful, right? As he gave marathon speeches, right? In his soft breathy voice, right? To anyone he could corner for an hour, right? He was a superb comp host and game show emcee for one of the few group activities they did.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

24 - Recruit - Single
Bartender - Nashville, TN

2nd evicted - Day 16

Nashvillain

Four people were already nominated when she won the first HOH and all she had to do was remove two. She spent most of the first days repeating she wanted an alliance of eight, which she eventually pulled together, with F2, F3, F4 along the way. She had it made but then found out everyone else knew about her eight and she spent the rest of her HOH week in tears. Then she hit the block and campaigned poorly, but at least she went out fighting.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

25 - Recruit - Single
Molecular biologist - Houston, TX

1st evicted - Day 9

Curse-Sten

She was on the block when she started to pitch and double-dip, and you can't blame her for that. Being new to BB, that's what she'd seen on the shows, and most everyone else started doing the same thing right away anyway. But Kirsten became an easy scapegoat since she wasn't in their inner power circles. She would have been good feeds: she planned a scorching nominee speech, but then opted to go out classy and didn't use it.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

30 - Survivor applicant - Single
Illustrator - Coral Springs, FL

Ejected Day 8

Gone, forgotten

Between hamsters thinking he was a secret doctor and feedsters thinking he was a secret twin, his week was full of unintentional comedy. He added to that by not knowing the show or that the game had started without him, then he worked hard to join the game in progress, with no success. Then he dropped the n-word, and then he was gone.

GAME TWISTS

Week 1 BB Multiverse
-Losers of four move-in comps went on the block, and HOH Reilly saved two.

Week 2 Nether Region
-Inconsistent and vague. Individuals were sent to Nether Region for varying lengths of time, receiving 'something good or bad' and selecting the next one to go.
-Roster of who went and for how long is in the Extracurricular Items tally.

Week 4 Invincibility Power
-Viewers voted four to secretly compete for the power, which gave the winner the option to save the Week 4 or Week 5 evictee.
-Cirie, Cory, Jag, Matt competed, Matt won, and secretly used it to cancel Jag's eviction at the end of Week 4.

Week 8 Scary Week: Zombies
-No HOH, noms, or veto.
-Cameron, Jared were evicted on Day 51 double eviction, then sent back into the house as zombies.
-They did a 3-part comp and Cameron won the option to play or pass a live challenge.
-Cameron did the challenge, completed it, and was revived. Jared was evicted again.

Week 11 Comic Week
-Power of Invisibility: HOH's identity was secret, unless they chose to share. Jag won and told most. He can play for the following HOH.
-Power of Multiplicity: There were two veto comps with two veto winners. Jag won the first, and Blue the second.
