And Felicia told Mecole about America pitching a girls final four alliance, and about the plan for Cameron to put up Cory as renom. Overnight the plan to replace Felicia with Cory seemed to fall through, between Cameron talks with Cory and with Jag. If Cameron does pull back and keep noms the same, normally we'd say he tanked his game by suggesting it and letting it be discussed for a couple days, but this is Cameron whose social game is pretty much tanked anyway and he knows that. An interesting side note on all this, with the multi-layered and interwoven alliance mess of this season, the fanbase too has been all over the map. But the possibility of Cory going this week had people strongly split, almost to an OTT degree. I don't think we've seen such a clear divide since then.Pre-veto meeting scrambling included a lot of elaborate planning by Blue, Bowie, Jag, Matt, with Cameron joining, for the slip 'n slide comp which they believed would be Thursday's HOH. And Cameron met with Bowie to say the Cory plan wasn't happening, and that he'd told her about it first, and he said "you're my person." She seemed to go along with that but not enthusiastically, and Cameron suggested she come up with a name for their five with Blue/Jag/Matt. Cameron then met with Cory and told him he was invested in the five that included America, Jag, Matt, and he said Blue was gunning for Cory and had pushed for him to be renom. Cory asked if that had been a "solo mission" for Blue and Cameron implied it was, saying she wanted Cameron to do her dirty work. Cory said he figured Blue would have told Jag and Matt she was pushing for that, and Cameron said they weren't fully in on it. Cameron asked that Cory not tell America and he said he wouldn't, but added it would get back to her if he asked Jag and Matt about it. They also talked next week plans and mentioned Cirie and Bowie were the only ones who hadn't touched the block yet, forgetting or intentionally not saying that Matt hadn't either. Cory then reported most of that to America at the backyard waterfall graphic, in wildly different attire. He said Cameron "alluded" to Blue coming for him and pushing for him to be renom, adding that his main concern wasn't Blue, but about Jag and Matt not telling him. Once again all the plans, conversations, and waffling amounted to nothing: Cameron did not use his veto. Apparently Felicia called out Cory in her speech. She was probably expecting Cameron to pull her off and put Cory up. Oops. America told Cameron, Bowie, Matt she wanted to tell Felicia that it was her and Cory who rallied the votes for her to stay against Izzy, that she wouldn't even be here now without them, and if anyone had been carried in the game, it was Felicia. Bowie said she agreed. (Apparently Felicia and America also had words after the veto meeting.) Blue and Cory had a quick exchange, with Blue acting as if whatever Felicia said was all news to her. Felicia asked Cameron and Jag after her Diary session "so how bad do you guys think I just blew up my game?" Cameron said "what game, it's blown" and he later retold that exchange to various others. Cameron told Jag that he'd told Cory it was Blue pushing the renom plan, just before Cory questioned Jag about it. Jag said they'd been up late fighting for Cory, without mentioning that Cameron had pushed for it, and he suggested it was mostly Blue. Cory said Felicia had come at him "like a teacher" but said he respected her and her game. Cory questioned Mecole, and Felicia griped and campaigned to Jag. American and Blue told Mecole that she has their votes. Felicia told Cameron she can tell what's going on from people's behavior (meaning being shunned), and he said just soak up the experience while she's there. He said he was the same guy on the block as off, making jokes and making people laugh. (I don't recall that part, but whatever.) And he said if people stop talking when she enters a room it's not because they were talking about her, they're just talking about next week since they've already evicted her in their minds. She said she'd campaign anyway and he asked how she planned to do that, without going against Mecole. She said she wanted to stay and will campaign about that, and let people decide for themselves who's better for their game, and she said she won't be disparaging against Mecole. Various other rehash and check-in convos happened here and there, including America and Matt about the weekend flip shenanigans, with Matt sidestepping any personal involvement. Rehashes, retells, and more shuffling alliances were the order of the evening. America, Cory, Matt said they needed to name their foursome with Jag, apparently forgetting they'd already named it Belgium. Cameron pitched an F3 to Cory to include America, and Jag pitched an F3 to Matt to include Bowie. Cory or America mentioned Felicia saying something about America riding Cory's coattails or hiding beneath his wing during her post-veto meeting rant, but Cameron said she'd actually said "America was riding under Cory to the end" and he added he thought that was funnier. The new house targets evolved to Blue and Mecole, with Cameron apparently not on many radars for the time being. Day 63 - Tuesday - October 3, 2023Cirie and Cory had a lengthy chat/shmooze session this morning, which included Cory talking about Felicia accusing him of learning about Brown Sugar Babes by eavesdropping, rather than Jared telling him. Cory does eavesdrop and has talked about it, but Jared did spill this tidbit to him on Day 18. Other chats have included waffling about this week's vote and possibly sending out Mecole rather than Felicia, and the usual endless rehashes, retells (including Felicia's blowup yesterday), future targets and boot orders, and new "alliances" (which aren't really alliances at all anymore: those have gone the way of pinkyswears as far as credibility and legitimacy). I feel like we're still stuck in Scary Week with nothing but Groundhog Days looming in front of us, but we've come this far so we must see it through.Key convos (or not) included Jag explaining the telephone-rumor to Cirie about a F3 with him/America/Cory (which Cirie knew all about since she planted that rumor, saying Felicia had said it). Cory apologized to Mecole for cuddling with America in the scramble room bed so close to hers and she said it was fine, she didn't hear much. Felicia told Cirie she was having internal struggles between being the bigger person and apologizing for yesterday's blowup versus "part of me says I don't give a -- rats ass." The rats ass part lost and she hashed it out with Cory in Matt's Have-not office, beginning with saying she was sorry. She brought up the foursome with Mecole and America and how did everyone know about it so fast, along with how he found out about the Brown Sugar alliance (again, that was indeed Jared, on Day 18). They hashed and rehashed it all, and shmoozed each other along the way. Cory reported to America and Cameron (she was straightening his hair again), but they didn't sound receptive to Felicia's angles as retold by Cory. Another afternoon booze delivery arrived around 3.30pm along with cake mix and party hats for Bowie's birthday tomorrow. America finished Cameron's hair and they joined the kitchen party with Cory, as gametalk went on hold again. But that won't be for long. Afternoon booze meant droopy and quiet evening hamsters. Felicia told Cirie over dinner prep that she wasn't ready to talk with/apologize to America yet, adding she "doesn't feel compelled," and she said maybe later. Cirie said there's always tomorrow. (Never mind America already heard about Felicia's apology to Cory hours earlier.) America and Cory took to their bed, where America announced she didn't like Mecole's kale salads, no matter how much everyone else hypes them up. Later they moved upstairs to join HOH where Mecole was hanging out and socializing with Bowie and Cameron, as if that wasn't a transparent tactic when on the block. Felicia finally had her talk with America, with rehashes and apologies on both sides. And with that, I'm checking out early, unless something interesting, fun, exciting, or noteworthy happens. Day 64 - Wednesday - October 4, 2023The tiny party hats came out once more for morning birthday greetings for Bowie, celebrating her 46th today (or 35th in-house). Felicia told her "if I leave tomorrow, I genuinely thank you for the friendship we've had" which caused some viewers to scoff and worse, but I think Bowie will get a kick out of how much the whole FBJ thing has taken hold. Blue and Jag started up rehash loops in their beds before either was even fully awake. Cirie had a talk/check-in with Mecole with a lot of rehashes, and she suggested Mecole get closer to Blue for moving forward. And Cirie had a talk/check-in with America, who said she'd talked with Felicia and thought their disagreement was over and in the past. There has been some talk about booting Mecole rather than Felicia, so expect waffles today, along with campaigning by both Felicia and Mecole.Waffling picked up a notch after Felicia pitched to Jag, who then told Matt "let's try to get Felicia to stay." Separately, they both told Cameron (who has no vote and no more power) they thought Felicia wouldn't target him if she stayed, but she would go after Cory. Cameron decided it was all Cory trying to orchestrate the flip to blindside Cirie and Blue, and he threw his hands up and told Matt "[Cory]'s cooking.. don't look at me, motherfucker," along with lecturing to whoever was visiting him in HOH about the state of things. Felicia and Mecole continued their one-on-one pitching, and Cirie continued some one-on-one meetings, and the rest of them met in revolving twos and threes to rehash and run their loops. Bowie remain mostly unbothered, including being tied into one of the asylum beds with birthday crepe streamers. I think Jag and Blue did that. As of mid-afternoon, the flip had taken hold for Mecole to leave tomorrow rather than Felicia, but we've been here before on a Wednesday. Sometimes it sticks and sometimes it doesn't: keep it in pencil. They were shown detailed pics or videos featuring pre-jurors for a memory comp, likely tomorrow's HOH. They immediately split up into study groups, with Felicia, Cirie, Mecole running details. Mecole didn't seem as active in that study session as the other two. Maybe she'd gotten a heads-up about the flip, or maybe she just felt things had shifted. (Felicia also told them she saw Blue, Jag, Matt leaving HOH earlier, when Bowie had said she was the only one there.) Cameron, Bowie, Blue, Jag, Matt studied in HOH but Matt left and went to his Have-not office with Cory following. Matt was annoyed they were studying with Blue, asking "are they fucking idiots?" Cory suggested he tell the HOH group to study individually or in duos first, then regroup later to compare notes, and he went back to HOH to suggest that, but Blue, Bowie, Cameron remained and continued studying the minutiae of whatever they were shown. Cameron and Jag then joined Matt in Have-not to gripe about studying with Blue, and particularly about Bowie throwing out information. Study groups reformed in new combinations and split up, then reformed some more. It turned out Mecole had caught a vibe, and Cirie also tipped her off to go talk to people, so she did. She pitched to Jag who hemmed and hawed about things being uncertain and etc etc. Eventually he said it was "the first time you've explicitly talked game to me, 64 fucking days, your ass on the block." He said that laughing, and so was she when she replied she was fighting for her life. Meanwhile Blue pitched hard to Matt to keep Mecole, and then they swapped places: Mecole pitched to Matt and Blue to Jag. Matt also hemmed and hawed about uncertainties, and said he didn't know what anyone else was doing but he'd already given Mecole his word she'd have his vote. Blue later said to herself/us that Cory knew she needed Mecole to stay and that's why he was trying to get her gone. Little did Blue realize that her pushing so hard to keep Mecole was one of the main reasons they flipped to booting Mecole. They all sat down to birthday breakfast-for-dinner of steak and eggs, followed by cake. Despite this group's track record, it feels like this vote is set now, and Mecole will be the last one Julie tells the Cirie/Jared secret to, since the jury phase will finally start. It would have been fun to see Felicia's reaction to that in a one-on-one setting, but we'll have to wait for finale for the rest of them to find out about that (unless it comes out before then in the house and/or jury house, of course).
