Most of us expected that for Scary Week, but they came on the eve of the Exorcist movie veto comp instead. Also last night, Felicia overheard Blue saying she wouldn't use the veto if she played and won, and Blue later apologized to Felicia for that, saying of course she "has to kiss some ass" with the HOH. This morning there was a snippy spat between Felicia and Cameron when she told him not to sit on the kitchen counter. It wasn't on feeds but several retells from both were. Endless yap and plans and what-ifs raged on.America, Blue, Matt were picked to play for veto with Cameron, Felicia, Mecole. Feeds were down from approx 12.15pm until 6.53pm, and they came back as competitors were excitedly talking about the comp. Cameron won, again, plus a movie screening with three guests. They had to search through rooms in a house type setting to find items, in the dark, with mud and water sections. It was individual timed runs with a timeout max of one hour, explaining the lengthy feeds block. Top times were in the eight- to nine-minute range. They had to crawl through a fireplace, and they were told there was a tunnel somewhere. They were also encouraged to narrate their search as they went, and they were given a safeword to use if they freaked out and had to bail, but it didn't sound like anyone had to use it. It sounded like they heard "the power of BB compels you" when they finished. Areas included a living room, bathroom, office, bedroom, and a hair room? Items to find included a candle, a wind chime, pendant. They all agreed it was a very fun comp to do. Afterwards, Felicia sat across the yard from various others who were saying it was dark and scary, and she muttered to herself/us that it wasn't that dark or that scary, adding "that shit didn't bother me at all." But she kicked herself for repeating a room which she seemed to think caused her loss, and she said if it's her time to go, it's her time to go. Felicia ranted to Cirie that nobody hangs out with Cameron except when he's HOH, and "he is not a master player, he has no personality, the only thing he has is the ability to win competitions." She then told Cirie, Jag, Matt, Mecole she only trusted and cared about the four of them, and said she wants one of them to win the game. Cameron came in from the yard to silence. Felicia later repeated a lot of the same to Mecole, and told her the four of them had to get Cameron out next week, and she said they should form a final four to take it to the end. Felicia also pointed out nobody was talking to her or sitting with her, so she knew she was the target and on her way out. Cory wondered how much oversight the movie people had about the comp and the show promo for it. (From my experience with cross-promo things like this, there were probably had a lot of approval levels involved.) Cory earlier suggested to Jag they arrange a meeting with Matt, America, Blue, and Cory invited Blue to a hammock talk to rehash, plan, and shmooze each other. Felicia calmed down enough to cackle here and there with her rants. Cameron talked with Matt in HOH, saying their trio with Jag was in great shape and could go all the way as long as they stick together. They mentioned Cory and Blue were still hammocking, and Cameron said Cory likes to get busy and turn allies against each other, and that was how "guys like that" win the show. Cameron went on some more about how dangerous Cory was, and said he could take him out this week: "I could do it, I could do it right now." He added he wouldn't do it if Matt and Jag didn't agree, but he started to push for it a bit harder, saying he'd like to take down Felicia to put up Cory, calling him "that cocky little motherfucker." He said it would start a war, but he said that about booting Izzy too and war did not break out. Cameron then kind of floated the idea past Blue, who made a joke about getting Cory out of the America picture and Cameron said it wasn't about that, and he said Felicia had tried to pitch that to him before noms and he'd shut that down. Cory going up as renom may or may not end up happening, but I had a feeling all along Cameron was pushing his anti-Felicia campaign just a bit too hard to be believable. Day 61 - Sunday - October 1, 2023Last night Cameron pitched his thought to renom and boot Cory to Jag, who didn't like the idea very much, as expected. Afterwards, Cameron said to himself/us "I can do whatever the fuck I want." This morning Jag and Matt discussed their options, with Jag saying they wanted to stay good with Cameron but "drawing a line in the sand" now would make for "weird weeks to come." Felicia campaigned to Bowie, who'd also been told about Cameron's Cory idea. Cory, who probably suspected things aren't as straightforward as they might appear, pitched a three to Mecole, to include America of course. Jag ran his complex loops to Bowie, who said "yeah, yeah" every few sentences, like she does. And she said Felicia had said she has Bowie's vote, but said she won't vote to keep Felicia.Cameron told Bowie he was going to "play it safe" and not pursue the Cory renom idea, but then he met with Matt in HOH and said he'd still like to do it but Jag wasn't on board, and he wanted to stick with them as a trio going forward. He said the only thing that bothered him was that Jag was clearly keeping his options open since he was resisting the Cory plan, and he said Jag may have a deal with Cory that Matt wasn't aware of (accurate). Then he said "I think we should just take [the shot at Cory]." Matt agreed and said he'd talk to Jag and try to bring him around, then the three of them would meet. Matt also pointed out Cory was nervous, and Cameron said that indicated he wanted to do the same to Cameron, "the same as Izzy." Meanwhile Cory worked on Jag, saying he thought Cameron was trying to play the middle between Jag/Matt and Cory/America, and he repeated the same to Matt when he joined them. Cory left and was replaced by Felicia who asked Jag and Matt for their votes, but they didn't commit. Cirie and America also had a check-in/shmooze session. Cory talked to Cameron some more about next week, and about F4, F5 scenarios, and about how his (Cory's) skills will be best for the late season comps. You could almost see a "you're going home" thought bubble over Cameron's head, and at one point he told Cory he thinks too far in advance. Cory and America finally had the Lunchables date they've talked about for awhile. Matt and Cirie met in Matt's Have-not office, and he said he thought Cameron probably wanted to take a shot at Cory. Cirie asked if he'd do that, since he was so set against Felicia. She said they'd need to get him to take that shot, could they do that? Matt grinned and grinned, and said "I didn't say anything" and "the game might get fun." Cirie laughed and said she wouldn't say a word. Cameron had a word with Jag, and sent him to talk with Matt. Blue joined before they got too far into it, and she eventually said maybe she should suggest to Cameron that he put up Cory tomorrow, in case Cameron didn't think he'd have enough support to try doing that. Blue and Cameron had a lengthy chat with a lot of anti-Cory on both sides (and a lot of anti-Izzy on his). Blue said Cory had to go, and Cameron said he wished she'd said that sooner. Over dinner prep, Cirie and Felicia promised not to go after each other from here on out, and they reinforced that a bit later by agreeing to keep their differences of the past few weeks in the past. They said "from this moment on, it's the Bookends" and they sealed it with a cheek kiss. Mecole told America if she stays this week, she wanted to get closer to and work with her and Cory moving forward. America swore Mecole has her vote this week (oops, might want to wait on that promise), and America said Cameron wasn't going to do any of the shady stuff this week that some expect him to do. Cameron met with Matt again and said he wanted to do it, but didn't want to piss off Jag but Jag's reluctance was "telling me a lot about him." And Cameron said "it doesn't leave here, no one knows. When I pull this trigger everyone's gonna lose their mind." Most already knew, but Cameron's gonna Cameron. Feeds went to adoptable anipals around 7.20pm for the movie screening, and they came back a little after 10pm. Blue, Jag, Matt watched the new Exorcist movie with Cameron in HOH and we heard Blue say it was good, and scary, and we heard they'd gotten a new load of candy and snacks for it. But for whatever reason, they withheld the movie descriptions and retells, and even the candy and snacks, from us and instead we had four feeds on Cirie gone to bed. Seems they'd want the movie promo to extend to us and not the just the TV audience, but they didn't ask me. But then they finally did put feeds on HOH for some movie chat. As of now, I'd say the chances of Cameron replacing Felicia with Cory tomorrow are high, but we'll see if that sticks or if it shifts again.
