This site is about the Big Brother 25 feeds and contains spoilers! It isn't necessarily thorough: it's what I catch and/or what interests me. It's about watching hamsters: who's doing what and why. Thanks for encouraging my behavior.

Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 55 - Monday - September 25, 2023

Cirie must have misunderstood whatever she thought indicated an early wakeup today for some event or activity, because it was just another Groundhog Day. It kicked off with more rounds of rehash/retell roulette that included Jared Zombie individually with Felicia, Cory, America, Jag, as well as America/Felicia, America/Blue, Jag/Matt, Cirie/Jag (including an apology from Cirie and a hug), Cirie/Cory, Blue/Cory, Cory/Bowie, Cirie/America, America/Cory, Matt/Blue, Matt/Blue/Jag, Felicia/Mecole, America/Bowie, Cirie/Matt/Jag, America/Mecole, Cory/Felicia, Cameron Zombie/Cirie, Matt/Felicia, and Felicia/Cirie/Jared Zombie. Cirie gave Bowie a massage for her back. Otherwise they snacked, yacked, played pool, and laid around the backyard.

The only interesting tidbits out of all those chats, for me, were America and Cory agreeing maybe they could trust Cirie a little moving forward, but Cory reminded her Cirie was an excellent and cutthroat Survivor player, and that she makes people feel good after they talk with her. And Felicia and Mecole talked again about teaming up with America and Cory. Mecole seemed reluctant about that, muttering at the photo wall about "damn devil snakes," but she did approach America and they talked it over. Both agreed they'd be okay with that foursome "if it's real." At the same time, Cory and Felicia rehashed on the other side of the yard and discussed the same foursome. (Later, Felicia told Cirie and Jared Zombie that Cory's plan was to win vetos rather than HOHs to avoid bloody hands. Also, Cory previously told Jag and Matt about this potential foursome, so it's probably not all that real.) Matt later told Jag he noticed Cory covered his face when talking with Felicia, and he suggested Cory did that so Matt couldn't read his lips.

They were told the yard would be closing around noon tomorrow, and that's all I got for today. The only scary part of scary week is the boredom.

Day 56 - Tuesday - September 26, 2023

They were locked inside around 11am, so a cabin fever element will be added to this Groundhog Day. Most of them continue to put in work to better their position, and some have been successful. Both zombies have put themselves in slightly better spots than when they were evicted, and Blue has established solid insurance with various others depending if Jared Zombie is or isn't revived. She did a major anti-America campaign to Jag and Matt last night, leaving America and Cory in their crosshairs for the next cycle. Matt and Jag are also on various hit lists. Cirie's put her superb social skills to work to better her overall position. This morning, Cory and Cameron Zombie had a lengthy chat rehashing the past and planning the future, with each of them stroking their own and each other's egos throughout. Even general convo and life stories were on reruns, but I suppose all of them haven't heard all the stories yet. We still get a good cackle from Felicia semi-regularly, but otherwise these feeds remain on life support this week.

Scary Week continued its terrifying onslaught when they all got gift baskets. Cameron Zombie mentioned he'd been asked to clear off the dining table (their halfway party pizza boxes were finally evicted), and Cory came out of Diary with a card asking for helpers to bring in something from the pantry. That turned out to be wrapped baskets, and another card reading "Surprise, the live feeds have let us know our houseguests are missing some of their favorite treats. But first, give us a shoutout on the cameras, we always love hearing from you. We hope you enjoy everything, your friends at CBS." They all hollered dutifully and then loudly crinkled the plastic wrappers to discover various things they'd talked about here and there: seasonings, Vegemite, oxtail, ribs, shrimp, See's candy, and loads of additional candy and snacks - basically HOH baskets all around. Mecole stashed a load of snacks in a drawer, muttering "this is absurd but I have no shame, none whatsoever." Then she covered it all with a towel, adding "just in case any of these animals get any ideas." All that kept them happy for a few minutes before they went back to their usual twos and threes to rehash/trash/replan.

Jared Zombie told Cirie that Felicia had formed a foursome with Mecole, Cory, America, and he said Blue would tell her the same so she should act surprised when that happens (which Cirie later did), and he said Cameron Zombie was "starting to get a little nervous" about his challenge, and they traded notes about Blue's latest investigative convo with Cirie about her sons, to which Cirie repeated "deny, deny, deny." Dinnertime rolled around early again, courtesy of Felicia again. She asked everyone to join hands as she said grace, and they did, before diving in and demolishing her fried chicken dinner. Mealtime by Felicia is the only time they stop yapping, her food being so good they just chow down in silence until it's all gone.

After eating, Felicia said something about takeaways from this experience to make their lives better, and that hers was a reminder that "even if you think you're doing something for the right reason, you can still actually hurt someone." It seemed like they might go around the table with everyone contributing something but Cory said "I've learned at the end of the day you just can't trust Jag" and that ended that topic. The non-cleanup hamsters scattered to their corners, with America, Blue, Jag wondering what Felicia's comment was about, and Cameron Zombie telling Matt he was sure it was directed towards himself. And he said the Fugitives will be remembered and talked about, likening them to Brigade and Cookout. Yes he did. The rest of the evening was more of the same: some assorted psst-pssting, some general chatter, some more wondering about who Felicia was talking about, and we were back to frequent and lengthy feeds blocks.

Day 57 - Wednesday - September 27, 2023

Overnight events included America/Cory/Jag/Matt calling themselves Belgium (I don't know), and Blue told Mecole she knew about her foursome with America/Cory/Felicia. Given Mecole's initial hesitancy to agree to that and her comments that "it better be real," that might develop into something later that could break up the endless monotony of another scary Groundhog Day. If we're lucky. Mecole met with Matt in his Have-not office to check in, and she pointed out how Cory drops seemingly random comments that are actually subtle seeds for or against various others, and Matt agreed that Cory does do that. And Matt said he hasn't been in any alliances since Seven Deadly Sins (ha!). Cleaning tasks were discussed, with Cory volunteering to clean the horrible shower. He got tips for doing that, and Cirie did the rest of the bathroom at the same time, allowing for a check-in along with more shower cleaning tips. A leak/peek of staffers with some apparatus was glimpsed on feeds, but I was told it was not for the zombie revival comp.

Cameron Zombie ran his anti-Felicia loops some more, and I'm thinking he may be protesting too much about her as it's starting to feel like the misdirection he put out before he made his pie noms. Mecole had several more one-on-one chats but I didn't hear the leaked foursome come up until she talked with Jag over chess, and then it was just hinting. She said there's been "a lot of foolishness over the last couple days" and she responded "just Felicianess" and "Momma Fe being Momma Fe" when Jag asked what she meant. It sounded like she may assume it was Felicia who spilled, when really it was everyone else. We really need a Mecole pantry rant about now. Blue had a talk to us saying she was fired up, and thought she was in a pretty good spot, but knows she can't rest. She said she's done everything she could to shift a lot of targets onto Cory, adding she knew she didn't do all that herself and wasn't going to take all the credit. She said she badly wants to win HOH, and said she's sticking to her promise to Jared Zombie to protect Cirie as much as she can. And she said she felt she'd stepped up her game a lot (accurate) and felt she was almost sure to make jury now, and that she had a pretty good chance at going all the way to the end.

There were some noises earlier about doing a talent show but lack of interest failed that from developing into anything. Cirie suggested Blue ask Matt if she and Jared Zombie could stay in his Have-not room/office in case it's Jared Zombie's last night. Dinnertime rolled around again and they stopped talking for long enough to stuff their faces again, but check-ins and rehashes raged on, including a very lengthy rant by Jared Zombie at Matt. I figure it's all so much talk until someone's actually finally evicted tomorrow and we get back to our usual program with an HOH and the rest of it. I'd say I'm glad we survived Scary Week with its booze deliveries, gift baskets, and absolutely nothing else, but a teaser for next week's veto comp revolved around a new Exorcist movie, so maybe we aren't out of those woods yet.

Ratings - Zombies special edition, of course

Ratings are based on zombies and not much else, because that's what we have this week

Noms count: original/renom/twist

Exciting and fast-paced double eviction show, but neither evictee was actually evicted. Both showmances could have broken up, and one was, and then they were reunited shortly after. Remaining hamsters were presumably shocked by the re-entries, but we didn't see it. A fight happened, maybe of house meeting proportions, but we didn't see it. A three-part comp to determine who gets an advantage a week later, but we didn't see it. What we do get is a full week of nothing? We'll see. This would have been a great opportunity for an old school food comp, but no.

Won: Dinner guest

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 2

27 - Applicant - Single
Medical receptionist - Brooklyn NY

ZOMBIELAND
A light hearted take on the genre, humorous with some legit zombie gore and scares. If anyone was going to accidentally kill Bill Murray, it would be her.

Won: $1,000

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 1

25 - Recruit - Single
Brand strategist - New York, NY

ZOMBIE
I don't mean to make light of the Irish 'Troubles' the Cranberries song is about, but the refrain 'what's in your head, what's in your head' seems applicable. (Rest in peace, Dolores O'Riordan.)

Won: Netherland Day 11; a pressure cooker

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

45 - Applicant - Single
Barrister/DJ - Los Angeles, CA

SHAUN OF THE DEAD
The ultimate comedy zombie movie. She's not a comedian but she still brings us both intentional and unintentional humor when nobody else does. I shudder to think where we'd be without her.

Won: Europe trip; 1 week 5 days piggy suit; 2000 cups of dirt with Izzy; 1 week post-eviction zombie; Zombie advantage

HOH 2 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/1/0 - HN 0

34 - Applicant - Separated, 1 daughter
Stay-at-home dad - Eastman, GA

THE WALKING DEAD
A mostly solid series at first, often stereotypical and predictable, with excessive emotional content. Sooner or later most gave up on it, but it went on and on and on anyway. And on.

Won: Dinner guest; Invincibility vote; 48 hrs kayak with Felicia

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

53 - Recruit/stuntcast - Married, 3 sons
Surgical director
Norwalk, CT

WORLD WAR Z
Big budget action/adventure covering multiple countries with terrifying zombie hordes and an A-lister in the lead. It has a few shared scenes and anecdotes from the book it was based on, but otherwise it's completely different.

Won: Netherland Day 1; Invincibility vote

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 3

21 - Applicant/stuntcast - Single
College student
Ft Lauderdale, FL

ZOMBIELAND DOUBLE TAP
A sometimes tedious sequel to the original, this time the zombies are sorted into categories and the nerdy kid finally gets the girl.

Won: 24 18 hours slimings; Dinner guest; 48 hrs kayak with Cirie

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 1

63 - Applicant - Married, 1 son
Real estate agent - Kennesaw, GA

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
Not the first but definitely the original of the modern genre, the one that set the bar, and a timeless classic.

Won: $5,000; Netherland Day 10; Week 2 immunity; 1 week chicken suit; Invincibility vote; Day 30 revival

HOH 0 - Veto 2 - Noms 2/1/0 - HN 1

25 - Applicant - Single
Truck company owner/realtor - Omak, WA

28 DAYS LATER
It's a good one. It came out years before The Walking Dead copied its opener of a guy waking up in hospital, unaware a zombie apocalypse is underway. That's not necessarily applicable to Jag but the obvious joke can't be overlooked: come Thursday it'll be 28 days since he was evicted.

Won: Netherland Day 9; 1 week post-eviction zombie

HOH 2 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 2

25 - Applicant/stuntcast - Single
Exterminator - Norwalk, CT

SCOOBY DOO ON ZOMBIE ISLAND
I've never seen this one and have no interest in seeing it, just like I rarely listen to Jared.

Won: Invincibility vote and power; 1 week 5 days Duhamel-a-maniac

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

27 - Recruit - Single
Deaflympics gold medalist - Baton Rouge, LA

DEAD SET
A zombie outbreak based around Big Brother UK. You think oh that's unique, what a great premise, but the novelty is soon set aside and it takes hold as a solid zombie movie in its own right.

Won: Dinner with 3 guests

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

30 - Applicant - Newlywed
Political consultant - Upper Marlboro, MD

Z NATION
Like The Walking Dead, this series is about a present-day zombie outbreak but it has more heart (imo), more humor, more imagination, more gore, and unlike TWD, it never takes itself too seriously.

Won: 1 week 5 days piggy suit; 2000 cups of dirt with Cameron

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 2

32 - Applicant - Has a girlfriend
Flutist - New York, NY

5th evicted - Day 44

She clocked Cirie and Jared in a minute, and she quickly went from being a Cirie fan to a devoted ally and surrogate daughter. She made no secret of it and that didn't go unnoticed. She was often manic, chaotic, and cracked, and her animated conversations and limitless facial expressions became their own side game. She later calmed down under Cirie's mentorship and they drove the first half of the game, not always to their benefit. She was a never-a-dull-moment hamster and that's always good for fun feeds.

Won: 1 year P+ and home theater

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

37 38 - Recruit - Has a girlfriend, 3 kids
Sales/TikTokker - Gatlinburg, TN

4th evicted - Day 37

He was a caricature of himself on the episodes but he was more genuine on feeds. His and Cameron's bromance was like some over-countrified afterschool special and when they broke up, the tinkly piano shifted to a broken banjo string twang. He said some inappropriate things, he provided baked goods, and he was a good sport about his birthday roast. He was a victim of the heavily layered and interwoven alliance mess, so this feller had to skedaddle back to hawkin' moonshine in Gatlinburg.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 1

45 - Applicant - Divorced
Geriatric physician/burlesquer - Seattle, WA

3rd evicted - Day 23

He painted a target on himself by winning the first two vetos and the second HOH, and he knew that. He started out fun and lively but he got HOHitis so bad his own alliance orchestrated a blindside plan to put him up and out. His campaign pitches were painful, right? As he gave marathon speeches, right? In his soft breathy voice, right? To anyone he could corner for an hour, right? He was a superb comp host and game show emcee for one of the few group activities they did.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

24 - Recruit - Single
Bartender - Nashville, TN

2nd evicted - Day 16

Four people were already nominated when she won the first HOH and all she had to do was remove two. She spent most of the first days repeating she wanted an alliance of eight, which she eventually pulled together, with F2, F3, F4 along the way. She had it made but then found out everyone else knew about her eight and she spent the rest of her HOH week in tears. Then she hit the block and campaigned poorly, but at least she went out fighting.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

25 - Recruit - Single
Molecular biologist - Houston, TX

1st evicted - Day 9

She was on the block when she started to pitch and double-dip, and you can't blame her for that. Being new to BB, that's what she'd seen on the shows, and most everyone else started doing the same thing right away anyway. But Kirsten became an easy scapegoat since she wasn't in their inner power circles. She would have been good feeds: she planned a scorching nominee speech, but then opted to go out classy and didn't use it.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

30 - Survivor applicant - Single
Illustrator - Coral Springs, FL

Ejected Day 8

Between hamsters thinking he was a secret doctor and feedsters thinking he was a secret twin, his week was full of unintentional comedy. He added to that by not knowing the show or that the game had started without him, then he worked hard to join the game in progress, with no success. Then he dropped the n-word, and then he was gone.

Lines and Links of the Day

Lines

Bowie: Now I wish I'd watched the competitions

Jag to Matt: Dude, we got cool alliance names

Cory about Cirie: She lies but she's not a traitor

Cory: I hope we're having an actual dinner tonight

Blue to Cirie: So if your kids were in this house, who would they be close to?

Cameron Zombie: I was a hell of a car salesman

@YourFaveJerry: I can't imagine someone genuinely @ ing CBS and going "hey these motherfuckers need some starbursts"

@realitycece: are they just getting rid of all the hoh stuff they accumulated from the first half of the season since 2 people kept winning hoh back to back

Cirie to self: I'm never gonna talk to people again after this, it's just talky talk talk, and talk, all my life in here

GAME TWISTS

Week 1 BB Multiverse
Losers of four move-in comps went on the block, and HOH Reilly saved two.

Week 2 Nether Region
Inconsistent and vague. Individuals were sent to Nether Region for varying lengths of time, receiving 'something good or bad' and selecting the next one to go. Roster of who went and for how long is in the Extracurricular Items tally.

Week 4 Invincibility Power
Viewers voted four to secretly compete for the power, which gave the winner the option to save the Week 4 or Week 5 evictee.
Cirie, Cory, Jag, Matt competed, Matt won, and secretly used it to cancel Jag's eviction at the end of Week 4.

Week 8 Zombies
No HOH, noms, or veto.
Cameron, Jared were evicted on Day 51 double eviction, then sent back into the house as zombies.
They did a 3-part comp and Cameron won the option to play or pass a live challenge on Thursday.
If he completes it, he's revived and Jared's evicted; vice versa if he fails.
