Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 52 - Friday - September 22, 2023

Additional mess from last night included Felicia blowing up as well as Mecole, possibly in a house meeting setting. Despite Julie's ongoing pitches to "watch all the drama unfold live," the actual drama was blocked last night. Production isn't making it easy for viewers to stay engaged. Oh, and Cory got his basket for the quickie HOH in the pantry. The two zombies competed last night and again this morning in the first two of three rounds involved in one of them being revived Thursday. This three-rounder was to give the winner the option whether to play or make the other zombie play for revival on Thursday. I don't know if they were told it will be a puzzle or if they speculated that after remembering/hearing about Kaitlyn's, but I've been told it will be a puzzle. If the designated zombie completes it, he's revived and the other's out. If he fails to complete it, he's out. Again.

The zombie guys sleep in the scary asylum room this week, and their photo wall pics were zombified which was a nice touch. Better than their costumes anyway, which aren't much. This first competition sounded similar to the one where they have to balance on a teeter-totter apparatus and roll balls of different weights into a shovel. Their total goal was 30 zombieballs. I think they were tied after the first round with seven, Cameron Zombie took the lead by four after this morning's second round, and the third round will be later today or tonight. The rounds were timed.

Rehashes and rehash retells were the order of the day, again/still. Bowie entered the game by telling Matt, Jag, America "Cirie never takes accountability" and she retold one of Cirie's Hypocrisy Hill comments which she said she knew was about her. She said Cirie later apologized for that but the floodgates were opened, with Jag in particular going hard against Cirie and Izzy "they're mean to people, they were mean to me," and Cirie and Jared "they're bullies bro, they're fucking bullies." America chimed in, saying when Cirie was bashing Red and Cameron she'd said "Cam looks so disgusting right now, him with his shirt off" and Jag responded "why are you talking about other people's bodies like that?" Bowie later joined America and Cory at their snugglebed to exchange more rehashes and retells.

Blue and Jared did some rehash/retell/planning rounds that weren't pleasant, and Blue said everyone else thought they were trying to patch up their relationship after last night's drama. Cirie made stops on a rehash/apology tour that included Felicia, Blue, Matt separately. Felicia asked about the America/Cory/Jag F3 rumor that Cirie started. (Recall Cirie told that to Felicia, then told Blue that Felicia had said it.) Cirie sidestepped that and also dropped America into it. America and Felicia had a check-in with America happily retelling Cirie's crimes, and Felicia responding "so they really are lying to me." Felicia asked what "the people's perceptions" were about Cirie and Jared/Izzy, and America said nobody's trusted them since the Felicia/Izzy vote, and that people thought Felicia had been tricked by them. They proposed a final four to include Mecole and Cory, and each said they'd talk to their respective partner about that, with a "nobody can know about this" disclaimer of course. That convo happened at the same time as Cirie was telling Blue everyone was mad at everyone for having multiple alliances, while having multiple alliances themselves. Hypocrisy Hill indeed.

Cirie and Jared Zombie had a check-in and she told him about the America/Cory/Jag F3 thing coming up again, and they agreed Izzy had complicated their game, and Cirie gave him some zombieball technique tips. Cameron Zombie described his zombieball technique to Blue and Matt, and he described his time with Julie to Blue and Bowie. Felicia and Cory had a pantry check-in about last night's events, that was mostly blocked.

Cameron Zombie won the third and final round of the zombieball shovel comp, so he'll have the option whether to play Thursday or let Jared Zombie do it. And they said there were now three graves in the backyard. Jared Zombie was peptalked by Cirie, Felicia, Mecole who told him it wasn't over yet, and urged him to go slow and steady (if applicable) if he competes Thursday. Jared Zombie was called to Diary while still upset and sniffly, because they love to catch that stuff when it's fresh. Cory and Felicia picked up their talk, with Cory saying he had been solid with Cirie, Jared, Izzy until that blew up, and he stressed that Felicia was not part of that plan. Cameron Zombie's cockiness and lecturing tone came back like clockwork after his win, and he told Cirie he was locked in with her, "you're my plan." Then he pitched an F3 to Matt to include Jag, and possibly Blue, but Cameron Zombie was more in favor of a basic F3 with just the guys. Apparently Cameron Zombie told Cirie he'd be making that pitch "to blow them up from the inside," so he's covering those bases, in case any of them believe him.

Zombie swimsuits were delivered to the pantry, for when they eventually get the yard again. Brown Sugar Babes attempted a meeting but Felicia was continuing her investigation rounds and she retold/rehashed F3gate and other items with Blue instead. Matt told Jag about his pitch from Cameron, presenting it as a foursome deal to include Blue. Neither seemed enthusiastic about it due to Cameron's track record, but Jag said he'd talk to Cameron about it. They also rehashed Cirie's game crimes and Jag repeated that he wanted to have a talk with her to get everything out in the open (on her side anyway). Apparently the Cameron/Jag deal from Cameron's HOH came out at some point along with most of the other secrets. Jared Zombie told Blue he was done talking, there was no point in that since his game future now solely relied on Cameron Zombie's decision and one of them competing in a week. The yard finally opened again so they were able to go their respective backup spots to run their repetitious loops.

Jag and Cameron Zombie met in Matt's Have-not office to discuss and/or formalize the potential new alliance, but they had another rehash session instead, which was further strung out by Jag tangents about being lied to, etc. Jag said he assumed Cameron Zombie will opt to do the challenge Thursday and he said yep, and he said he wanted Felicia out next because she was the one who'd been influencing and manipulating things. Matt joined and rehashes continued. Jag said "part of me wants the vindication of sending Cirie's ass home" but Cameron Zombie said "we'll get to her" and steered the target back to Felicia (implying he was solid with Cirie, as he'd told her, at least for now.) Cameron Zombie continued that deflection whenever Cirie came up, and the three agreed they would stick together going forward. Blue joined and they all agreed to work together as a foursome. Jag had a small epiphany at that point, asking "is this the Handful without the fucking pinkie?" Yes, yes it is. Meanwhile, Felicia in the backyard said "those guys have to be up there making another alliance, they have to be creating something." Yes, yes they were.

Cirie peptalked Jared Zombie and told him it wasn't over til it's over, he could start a fix-it campaign and possibly stay. He told her he'd made some mistakes, some he might not remember, as they all have, and he said Cirie had to forgive Blue going forward. Feeds switched to them as he was talking about mistakes and forgiving Blue and I thought he'd confessed outing their secret at first, but no. I believe Felicia had told him to say the forgiveness part.

The zombies talked in the backyard and Cameron Zombie again confirmed he would be playing the challenge, and Jared Zombie congratulated him for winning today's comp. Across the yard, Mecole and Felicia sat on the bus stop bench gossiping, and Mecole went on one of her pantry-type rants about how stupid everything is, this time with an audience. Felicia was mm-hmming throughout. Blue told Cirie some of Jag's anti-Cirie shtick, and she said if Jared Zombie goes, she'll do what she can to protect Cirie, and they hugged on that.

Day 53 - Saturday - September 23, 2023

Another day of endless rehashing kicked off with Jag grilling Cirie about having told Jared that Matt won the power. She continued to deny, Jag continued to press, and Cirie said she wished he'd brought the question to her sooner. Of course the irony of Jag being so stuck on that is Cirie did tell Jared about it (as did Matt), and she pushed Matt to use it, resulting in Jag's revival back into the game. Afterwards, Matt told Cirie that the grilling was Jag's idea and not his. Jag later asked Jared Zombie who'd told him, and he said he wasn't going to throw anyone under the bus at this point. Jag retold to America who said about Cirie "one thing about her, she's got eyes everywhere." Bowie apologized to Jared Zombie for not going along with Cirie, Felicia, Mecole when they asked her to vote out Blue during the double, saying she had no idea there'd been a potential 3-3 split, and she didn't want to be the swing. He said it was okay, he could appreciate the situation she'd been in.

Cory told Cirie that Jared had told her about Brown Sugar Babes in Week 2 plus assorted other things she wasn't expecting to hear. (Felicia told Cirie and Jared Zombie about that yesterday, at least that Cory had mentioned the name, possibly during the double eviction zombie fallout.) For the record, Brown Sugar Babes formed on Day 6, and Jared told Cory about them on Day 18. Jared Zombie told Blue she has to break up Cory and America if she wins HOH. Newly gaming Bowie called various one-on-one meetings including Cirie, Mecole, Cory, America. Cirie told her she was "100% transparent now, ask me anything" and "I am a snarky bitch - we are the snarky bitches." Bowie said she hasn't cried since that one day, and said she'd realized she'd been treating everything like real life then but it isn't, and she added Izzy was good at making her feel excluded. Bowie said "you can see pairs everywhere," Cirie agreed, and Bowie said "except us." Bowie then met with Cory who said he was open to working with her, and Bowie said she remains annoyed that Cirie never admits to anything. Blue told Jared Zombie she'd made an F2 with America.

The day carried on with rehashes and retells, and next-week plans, and not much else until dinner. They got a booze delivery and most of them finally dropped some of the loops for awhile, and they got louder, and some of them actually had some fun and laughed for a little while. But they soon broke up from two large groups into their usual twos and threes. Cameron Zombie, Matt, Jag returned to their bathroom conference spot and named themselves (plus Blue) the Fugitives with individual names/roles Gunslinger, Mercenary or Bounty Hunter, and Outlaw respectively. Really. And they said they're all wanted dead or alive, and "the only way out is together." Really. Blue and Jared Zombie returned to their sex sofa/nest in the skybridge game zone "where it all began" per Blue.

Cory and America returned to their hammock for a heavy makeout session with extreme zooms by feedmasters, and an eventual sloppy dismount by America. Mecole and Cirie hashed out their differences across the yard from the smak-smakkers. Bowie met with Felicia and finally with Cameron Zombie, who reverted to his cocky winner persona and pushed hard to work together as he gave yet another season review lecture. Eventually everyone except Blue and Jared Zombie ended up in the backyard again to chat and play pool, before breaking up into smaller groups again. Rewind, repeat.

Day 54 - Sunday - September 24, 2023

Morning brought greetings, coffee, chatting, puttering around for nearly a half hour before rehashes started up again, with Cory and Jared Zombie kicking off this cast's favorite (only) activity. Cory said it's a weird week, and acknowledged it was probably weirder for Jared Zombie. They - mostly Cory - went round and round about this convo, that secret, the other alliance, both of them sprinkling in lies and shmoozing as applicable. Blue had check-ins/rehashes/one-on-ones with Matt, Cameron Zombie, Mecole, and Cory rehashed to us. Both the backyard and Have-not room remained open, with no sign of anything scary or even unusual on the horizon.

Feeds were actually silent for long periods(!) but BB called them to the pantry around 3.20pm for an afternoon booze delivery. Party hats, cake mix, and the selfie camera also came out for Cory's birthday, which isn't until Friday. Maybe they figured the booze would give them livelier answers to post wherever they post those things. The weekly question this time was what is their least favorite thing about themselves. Felicia gave Cory a birthday lap dance, but it wasn't on feeds. Jared Zombie told Cirie he thought Blue had "figured out" their relationship awhile ago, and Cirie said "deny deny deny deny." Jag and Cameron Zombie had a get-to-know-you chat, on Day 54.

Cory and America did a shower scene for the selfie camera (see how that booze+camera timing worked out?) and they kept at it long after the camera left, like they do. Afterwards America did her beauty routine. There wasn't much else to the evening. Blue put on a spare piggie suit and entertained herself in the mirror for awhile, several of them chatted outside, various others drifted off to their beds, and Jared Zombie and Blue Piggie resumed their place at the game area sex/sofa nest. Cirie mentioned they'd been told they'll have an early wakeup in the morning, so maybe some scary week activity or event will take place after all. Jag, Cory, America, Matt said they wanted to tell Blue if Jared comes back, they'd bring him in and be six, and they said they want to get rid of the ones who "haven't done anything.. we all deserve to be in jury."

IF YOU MISSED what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback! And/or to watch prior BB USA, Canada, Australia seasons, plus a ton of other shows and movies as well.

Ratings - Zombies special edition, of course

Ratings are based on zombies and not much else, because that's what we have this week

Noms count: original/renom/twist

Exciting and fast-paced double eviction show, but neither evictee was actually evicted. Both showmances could have broken up, and one was, and then they were reunited shortly after. Remaining hamsters were presumably shocked by the re-entries, but we didn't see it. A fight happened, maybe of house meeting proportions, but we didn't see it. A three-part comp to determine who gets an advantage a week later, but we didn't see it. What we do get is a full week of nothing? We'll see. This would have been a great opportunity for an old school food comp, but no.

THE WALKING DEAD
A mostly solid series at first, often stereotypical and predictable, with excessive emotional content. Sooner or later most gave up on it, but it went on and on and on anyway. And on.

HOH 0 - Veto 2 - Noms 2/1/0 - HN 1

Truck company owner/realtor - Omak, WA

28 DAYS LATER
It's a good one. It came out years before The Walking Dead copied its opener of a guy waking up in hospital, unaware a zombie apocalypse is underway. That's not necessarily applicable to Jag but the obvious joke can't be overlooked: come Thursday it'll be 28 days since he was evicted.

Won: Netherland Day 9; 1 week post-eviction zombie

HOH 2 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 2

25 - Applicant/stuntcast - Single
Exterminator - Norwalk, CT

SCOOBY DOO ON ZOMBIE ISLAND
I've never seen this one and have no interest in seeing it, just like I rarely listen to Jared.

Won: Invincibility vote and power; 1 week 5 days Duhamel-a-maniac

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

27 - Recruit - Single
Deaflympics gold medalist - Baton Rouge, LA

DEAD SET
A zombie outbreak based around Big Brother UK. You think oh that's unique, what a great premise, but the novelty is soon set aside and it takes hold as a solid zombie movie in its own right.

Won: Dinner with 3 guests

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

30 - Applicant - Newlywed
Political consultant - Upper Marlboro, MD

Z NATION
Like The Walking Dead, this series is about a present-day zombie outbreak but it has more heart (imo), more humor, more imagination, more gore, and unlike TWD, it never takes itself too seriously.

Won: 1 week 5 days piggy suit; 2000 cups of dirt with Cameron

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 2

32 - Applicant - Has a girlfriend
Flutist - New York, NY

5th evicted - Day 44

She clocked Cirie and Jared in a minute, and she quickly went from being a Cirie fan to a devoted ally and surrogate daughter. She made no secret of it and that didn't go unnoticed. She was often manic, chaotic, and cracked, and her animated conversations and limitless facial expressions became their own side game. She later calmed down under Cirie's mentorship and they drove the first half of the game, not always to their benefit. She was a never-a-dull-moment hamster and that's always good for fun feeds.

Won: 1 year P+ and home theater

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

37 38 - Recruit - Has a girlfriend, 3 kids
Sales/TikTokker - Gatlinburg, TN

4th evicted - Day 37

He was a caricature of himself on the episodes but he was more genuine on feeds. His and Cameron's bromance was like some over-countrified afterschool special and when they broke up, the tinkly piano shifted to a broken banjo string twang. He said some inappropriate things, he provided baked goods, and he was a good sport about his birthday roast. He was a victim of the heavily layered and interwoven alliance mess, so this feller had to skedaddle back to hawkin' moonshine in Gatlinburg.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 1

45 - Applicant - Divorced
Geriatric physician/burlesquer - Seattle, WA

3rd evicted - Day 23

He painted a target on himself by winning the first two vetos and the second HOH, and he knew that. He started out fun and lively but he got HOHitis so bad his own alliance orchestrated a blindside plan to put him up and out. His campaign pitches were painful, right? As he gave marathon speeches, right? In his soft breathy voice, right? To anyone he could corner for an hour, right? He was a superb comp host and game show emcee for one of the few group activities they did.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

24 - Recruit - Single
Bartender - Nashville, TN

2nd evicted - Day 16

Four people were already nominated when she won the first HOH and all she had to do was remove two. She spent most of the first days repeating she wanted an alliance of eight, which she eventually pulled together, with F2, F3, F4 along the way. She had it made but then found out everyone else knew about her eight and she spent the rest of her HOH week in tears. Then she hit the block and campaigned poorly, but at least she went out fighting.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

25 - Recruit - Single
Molecular biologist - Houston, TX

1st evicted - Day 9

She was on the block when she started to pitch and double-dip, and you can't blame her for that. Being new to BB, that's what she'd seen on the shows, and most everyone else started doing the same thing right away anyway. But Kirsten became an easy scapegoat since she wasn't in their inner power circles. She would have been good feeds: she planned a scorching nominee speech, but then opted to go out classy and didn't use it.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

30 - Survivor applicant - Single
Illustrator - Coral Springs, FL

Ejected Day 8

Between hamsters thinking he was a secret doctor and feedsters thinking he was a secret twin, his week was full of unintentional comedy. He added to that by not knowing the show or that the game had started without him, then he worked hard to join the game in progress, with no success. Then he dropped the n-word, and then he was gone.

Lines and Links of the Day

Lines

Cirie: Everyone's reasoning for distrust is other alliances, and everyone's having other alliances that's known about

Cirie: I don't want to go through another he said/she said, I don't want to do that

Bowie: I just had back to back meetings, I'm exhausted

Cirie: She's always crossing the line.. the line is here - here's Felicia

Mecole: ..what's good for the goose is good for the gander
Jag: What's gander though? Is gander a group of geese?
Mecole: Yeah, essentially

GAME TWISTS

Week 1 BB Multiverse
Losers of four move-in comps went on the block, and HOH Reilly saved two.

Week 2 Nether Region
Inconsistent and vague. Individuals were sent to Nether Region for varying lengths of time, receiving 'something good or bad' and selecting the next one to go. Roster of who went and for how long is in the Extracurricular Items tally.

Week 4 Invincibility Power
Viewers voted four to secretly compete for the power, which gave the winner the option to save the Week 4 or Week 5 evictee.
Cirie, Cory, Jag, Matt competed, Matt won, and secretly used it to cancel Jag's eviction at the end of Week 4.

Week 8 Zombies
No HOH, noms, or veto.
Cameron, Jared were evicted on Day 51 double eviction, then sent back into the house as zombies.
They did a 3-part comp and Cameron won the option to play or pass a live challenge on Thursday.
If he completes it, he's revived and Jared's evicted, vice versa if he fails.
