Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 3 - Friday - August 4, 2023

They were woken at 8.30am which irritated some who thought the 10am to 10pm rule was constant. Reilly, Jag, Blue stayed up til 6.30am discussing (un)noms, alliances, and plans. After several meetings last night, including with Cirie, Reilly shifted to planning to pull down Corey and Jared (rather than Felicia and Jared). She then started meetings again this morning, including letting Felicia know she'd be staying on the block but that Kirsten was the target. She assured Felicia she'd be safe against Kirsten if they're the final noms. Both of them pretended to wonder if any alliances had formed yet, which was comical since both are in several. Reilly continued to tell pretty much everyone about Kirsten being her target, and she also let pretty much everyone think she's allied with them. I don't know if she's a Tyler fan or not, but that strategy didn't turn out too well in the long term on his first season. I think her first loyalty is probably to Jag, and then Blue.

I don't know if Luke's an actual fan pretending to be BB-dumb or if he's actually BB-dumb but if the former, he's doing a bang-up job. He asked what a backdoor is and said he'd heard people sometimes lie about their job/life. He even said "like what do you mean, do we have a friggin' doctor here or something?" Actually yes, Hisam is a doctor. That question made Reilly wonder later if Luke is actually a secret doctor, so if he's playing dumb, it's backfiring.

NOMINATIONS TODAY went up on their monitor around 11am and it took a good long while for anyone to notice. Feeds went to adoptable anipals at 12.38am for them to do their thing, and returned at 2.41pm to Reilly pacing and sniffling in HOH. She did indeed save Cory and Jared, leaving Felicia and Kirsten on the block going into tomorrow's veto comp. She was soon joined by Jag and Blue, and said she gets it, it's part of the game, but it sucks because they all worked hard to get there and etc etc. Neither nominee was seen for awhile but Kirsten eventually exited Diary, also sniffly, and she was consoled by Cirie, Izzy, America, Blue, and various others who were in the room.

It sounded like Cory was smirking when he came off the block, and there may have been some drama as a result? Cirie sat Cory down a bit later and counseled him to tone down his cockiness and have some empathy for the ones still on the block. Whether he will or won't remains to be seen. He was told not to talk about his Nether trip but he said at one point he thought the first evictee(s) might go there rather than home, and have some opportunity for revival.

Reilly's planned spa day kicked off with nail salon, and a big crowd gathered. @Whitless256 tweeted it was the "First official meeting of Reilly's alliance." Kirsten did her nails with a couple people in the downstairs bathroom and if/when Reilly finds out about that, it might be popcorn-worthy. Luke said he hadn't realized Cory was on the block, and Bowie told Cirie she could hear that she and Izzy were talking in the pantry as she passed by, but said she didn't try to hear what they were saying. Well, they aren't all hardcore gamers this season. Alliances continued to form and grow, along with plans for later meetings that may or may not happen, and everlasting scheming and psst-pssting on all feeds.

Felicia's the forgotten nominee as of now, and while she did some spiraling it wasn't a lot; she did more socializing and laughing her very infectious laugh. The ongoing doctor paranoia scored a direct hit when Cameron told Jag he thought Hisam is the secret doctor, but later he was back to saying Luke's a doctor. Izzy had a moment of homesickness with tears, missing her partner Paige and her parents, and she said she felt guilty because she'd realized she hadn't thought about her parents today. We learned that Red can talk reallyreallyreally fast, like the disclaimers at the end of Rx drug commercials, and that Cameron thought about doing standup comedy at one point and that may have been a good thing because it started going in a direction we don't need to go. Feedmasters cut him off fast when he started telling one of his jokes. Cirie told Kirsten why she was on the block, that she'd been too messy too soon, and she'd told too many people too many things. America told Jag and Matt about Jokers Updates daily popularity poll, and Jag said he hoped he's number one (he is).

The alliance roulette ball finally landed in two slots. Cirie, Felicia, Izzy, Mecole cackled and high-fived each other when Cirie said they should be called Bye Bye Bitches, which also includes Bowie and Hisam Later, Izzy and Cirie agreed they needed to bring in Red and/or Luke so they'd have enough numbers against the other side as they move ahead. Later they dropped Luke for Jared and Kirsten, if she stays.

And on that other side, Reilly gathered her inner core and they agreed to be smart, don't hang out together too much, protect each other, etc. They christened themselves The Handful because they are five and they began forming in the asylum/hands room. They over-complicated things with talk about hand signals and codewords, and side buddies, and they talked about including Cory and Jared in an outer ring called Extended Family, plus maybe America as well. And they agreed Luke could go up and out if Kirsten wins veto, after a very heavy anti-Luke campaign from Cameron.

They were told to expect a 7.30am wakeup because they have to get primped for the show cameras and draw veto players, and many of them were in bed relatively early after a couple very late and very busy nights.

Day 4 - Saturday - August 5, 2023

Adoptable anipals came along at 8.50am for their veto draw. Blue, Cameron, Hisam were picked to play with Reilly, Felicia, Kirsten, and Cirie will host. (You have to wonder if Diary subtly nudged Reilly to select her to host if her name wasn't drawn.) Later Izzy told Hisam and Mecole she was afraid Reilly picked her to "butter her up" before taking aim against her (possibly as renom), and she thought that would be due to Survivor fan Cory's influence. Blue, Jag, Reilly celebrated the draw afterwards, with Reilly saying she would have picked Hisam anyway if she'd gotten Houseguest Choice. Bowie joined and said she wouldn't use it if she wins. Blue and Reilly said the same and said Hisam wouldn't use it either, and they reiterated Kirsten would go if she doesn't win. Bowie added she didn't want this to be another season where the oldest person (Felicia) leaves first. Reilly and Red shotgunned Red Bulls, and Red's disappeared in a nanosecond. Apparently that's his thing on TikTok.

The Handful alliance more or less solidified their extended tier as Family Style, to include America, Cory, Jared; and the inner trio of Blue, Jag, Reilly will be called Crowd Control. Cirie found out about the eight and told Izzy if Reilly trusts her (Cirie) as much as she says, why is she the ninth or tenth person in her eight person alliance. America talked about being a feedster, a feeds chatter, and flashbacker, and the problem we all know too well of wanting to keep watching busy feeds after one's bedtime. Kirsten talked about coming here from Dominica as a child not yet fluent in English and especially not knowing Americanisms and slang, getting picked on, and she said a teacher told her at age eight "why don't you go back where you came from." Horrific. Hopefully hearing that might help Reilly tone down her anti-Kirsten talk a bit. It's enough to have a target and rally votes, and while vilifying the weekly target is typical hamster behavior, they don't need to get personal and ugly about it. Or obsess on it. Cirie told Hisam they need to pull in Luke to their side as he'll be the swing vote, as of now. Cory and Mecole discussed working together and looking out for each other.

Feeds went to adoptable anipals just after 1pm for the veto comp and returned three hours later, with Hisam the first veto winner. Cory congratulated him and Hisam was humble about it, saying yes he was glad he won but he saw Kirsten crying which made him feel bad. It was a Humiliverse comp that involved running, spraying water, and stacking puzzle parts. Felicia was second, and Reilly and Cameron were both close. Hisam had told Reilly earlier today that he wouldn't use the veto if he won, and he told Cory the same after he did win, which Cory promptly reported to Reilly. That doesn't mean there won't be a whole lot of scrambling about it, so strap in. Cirie had a check-in with Jared, telling him Izzy told her Reilly wanted to backdoor her (Cirie). (Apparently Izzy made that up or planted it as a seed bomb? I don't know.) Regardless, Cirie told Jared she'll ask/tell Hisam not to use it, and she referred to "the whole integrity nonsense" that Reilly keeps bringing up. Jared said Izzy's doing too much (true fact).

Kirsten visited Reilly for a long time, with some crying, and explanations for being too busy too soon, and some sad stories about her past. Reilly said things like she had to do "what the house wanted" and she told Kirsten to believe in herself and have confidence, which was rich after she's been running a 48-hour anti-Kirsten campaign. That meeting went on so long they missed dinner, but I think they got some later.

Cirie and Felicia visited Reilly and Cirie subtly asked about hearing she'd been a backdoor plan, and they pointed out to Reilly that having two women on the block with one going home would give the guys a numbers advantage and give them free rein to run to the end. Felicia didn't pussyfoot around and outright asked Reilly who she's aligned with. Reilly said "it's so early" and implied she didn't have any agreements yet, but said she liked and felt most comfortable with Jag, Cory, Blue, Jared, and then she added "I trust you two." She again assured Felicia she'll be safe. Reilly later wondered who made Felicia and Cirie feel the need for that meeting. (That would be Izzy.) Meanwhile Izzy told Jared she wanted to steal Cory from the other side, and within minutes she pitched that to Cory.

They'll do the swimsuit photo shoot tomorrow, so that news led to lots of trying on outfits. Bye Bye Bitches had a meeting and laughed about the other side thinking they're too stupid and unorganized to do anything. Hisam ranted about Cory, and also pointed out it's easy to tell who's allying and gaming by who's getting a lot of Diary calls. Meanwhile, Jared told Reilly they need to chill and stop scrambling so much because they got what they wanted and everything's cool for the week. Izzy continued not chilling, and kept trying to stir things up in every corner. They were mostly settling down and getting ready for bed when the backyard opened for the first time, around 11pm.

They ran out screaming and jumping, and Felicia promptly fell into the hot tub. Her mic made a classic and hilarious drowning sound "blrrrp blrrrp blrrrp" and several hollered that BB said they weren't supposed to go in the hot tub yet (likely due to chemical balancing). It was the third mic she drowned so far (but the best because of the sound). Cory thanked Cameron for his alliance invite, and Cameron didn't quite catch himself in time to prevent saying they already had a core group who all agreed to add Cory. Jared and Cirie had their nightly check-in, including some laughter about all the insanity, and Jared told her the whole backdoor rumor was Izzy being Izzy. Cirie said she'll talk to her about it.

Day 5 - Sunday - August 6, 2023

Whew, long scroll to get down here, sorry. I've found it's confusing to catch up later when the most recent day is at the top, so I'm trying this. Each day could/should have its own page, but here we are. Normally my pages here will cover Thursday/Friday, Saturday/Sunday, and Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.. but you already knew that.

Hisam was up very, very early to count things and examine wall graphics and decor. And he was gathering tiny details: later he compared notes with Izzy and mentioned how many degrees and which direction telescopes were pointing. They did their swimsuit photo shoot but I didn't hear if they had photographers in the yard and did individual shots, or whether it was just a group thing through the windows like they've done since the COVID era started. Cory said he was told to loosen up at one point, which seemed to have rattled him a bit.

After that most of them hung around the yard, many in new combos having new get-to-know-you convos. Izzy started Izzying by asking Red for a chat, and she told him she thinks the boot order for the upstairs group should be Cory, Reilly, Jag, adding "we should continue to play the game with integrity." That word's already had a full season's worth of use. Red said he wasn't in any formal/named alliances and Izzy said that was good, nobody knows where he stands. Later Izzy repeated her hit list to Jared, saying Cory should go first because he's a weasel, then Reilly because she's the ringleader, followed by Jag and then Blue, "because Blue is nothing without Jag."

Kirsten told Mecole about her talk with Reilly yesterday, and that Felicia had said something about her. She got a little teary and said that upset her because she hadn't wanted to be on the block next to Felicia, and that she hadn't yet and didn't want to campaign against her. Cirie and Cory had a check-in, with Cory saying he'd had a great conversation with Izzy yesterday (about pulling him over to Bye Bye Bitches; unware that Izzy was now calling him her #1 target). Cirie said "you'd have to be Ray Charles" to not see the split in the house, and she told him he's just a number to Reilly's group: "you're expendable, on the fringe." And he asked a few questions about her Survivor seasons, which she answered. Felicia asked Jared when his birthday is, he said March 5, and he said "OMG my son's is March 2 and my brother's is March 4!" So she will remember that, if she or someone asks Cirie her kids' birthdays.

Felicia told Mecole about her and Cirie's chat with Reilly yesterday, and how Felicia had asked point blank who Reilly was with. She said she'd noticed the "for now" part when Reilly told her she's good for now. And Felicia said she wants to call out names from the other side and ask what their alliance is called so everyone knows - yes please! They wondered whether Reilly or Jag had initially formed that group, since they were already becoming obvious before Reilly was HOH. I kept thinking hello, is Cameron invisible? But Felicia finally mentioned him as being part of the current core with Jag and Reilly. She said she thought Bowie is on their (Bitches) side, and Mecole said Bowie's never around for game conversations. Later Felicia said she hoped she got lucky and maybe no cameras caught her on film falling into the hot tub last night. Hisam roared, pointed to the cameras surrounding them, and said "girl, the whole fucking show is caught on film!"

Hisam and Reilly had their talk about the veto, which he almost surely isn't using, and Reilly told him she'd like to work with Cameron, Jag, Blue. Hisam already knew that, but the way she keeps spelling out her alliance for everyone is something else. Kirsten and Jag had a long campaign-ish talk, but it was more sharing their backgrounds and telling life stories. And Kirsten had a similar talk with Hisam, saying she doesn't think anyone will go out on a limb if there's a consensus about the vote, but she didn't know if there was a consensus. (There is, and not in her favor.) Somebody must have told Luke there's a game underway (Diary maybe?) because he initiated a number of one-on-one gametalk-ish chats. When he met with Reilly, she assured him he's safe this week, that nobody but Kirsten was going home. Feedmasters trolled Reilly a bit by zooming in on her mouth during one of her very extended rambles. She later told Cirie and several of her cronies (separately) that she'd told Luke everyone had come to sit on her couch to talk except him and Red. After Luke met with Izzy, she got a little cocky telling Bowie about it afterwards: "I just pitched him so hard! Y'all got that on camera?"

We learned a few things from the episode including: Izzy recognized Jared and told him so immediately when they saw Cirie on Night 1; Matt said Reilly's his type; Bowie age-lied and told them she's 34 (she's 45); Hisam job-lied and said he's a nursing assistant (with burlesque on the side, which is true); Kirsten job-lied and said she has a swimsuit line; and Cirie told them her sons' names are John, Jamil, Jamie. Cory read them a card from Nether that said he was only gone for a short time but "next week one of you won't be so lucky," and America read a card asking for Have-not volunteers.

Izzy wound up again and told Mecole "Cory's an opportunist, Reilly's all over the place and the next chaos agent, and Blue is chaos as well." I'd call that projection. Felicia dropped yet another mic in the toilet, the fourth one she's drowned in five days! She said "it didn't fall all the way - well it did, but I got it real quick" and Cirie said "I can't associate with you." Jared and Cirie separately assured Izzy they're a solid trio to the end. Cirie and Izzy doubled over in hysterics about something, which then led to Izzy tears and more Cirie assurances. While all that was going on, Matt and Hisam had a long serious hammock chat about their respective hearing losses, and Hisam coached Matt on the correct pronunciation of everyone's names (at Matt's request). Reilly told Jag and Jared she doesn't trust Izzy at all, and she told Jag she was afraid their eight-person alliance wasn't a secret anymore. Correct!

They got the selfie camera for shoutouts and posing, but most of that wasn't on feeds (whew). Reilly broke down in tears to Matt and Jag, saying "everyone's bombarding me!" She said it was stressing her out because she has to "deflect deflect deflect" and do all the lying, Hisam "grilled" her and people are naming her alliance members, and she's overwhelmed. Welcome to Big Brother! Bye Bye Bitches added an outer tier to their group and formed the Professors, made up of Bowie, Cirie, Felicia, Hisam, Izzy, Mecole, Red. Izzy gave an inspirational speech how they're the older ones and weren't going to let the pretty young things own another season, the other group kept running their mouths but this group is strategic, "we're the Professors and we're taking the kids to school." And they discussed bringing in Cory and Luke so they'd be nine in case two end up on the block. At the same time, Reilly told Matt upstairs "no matter what, we'll be the majority and these people will do what we tell them to do." More popcorn, please.

As of now, Hisam won't be using his veto tomorrow and Kirsten will be going home (or Nether World) on Thursday. Anything could change before then of course, and things could possibly even change overnight with this crew.
