Daily Feeds RecapsDay 3 Premiere - Thursday - July 10, 2025It's finally time to officially start up again and move on from pre-season, even though the hamsters already have. Several more clues about the Mystery person have been posted and at this point, they might as well just have blinking neon lights spelling out Rachel. A teaser preview/promo clip for tonight's show was posted this morning, with the 16 rookies seated in the living room. The lights went out, they squealed, a table disappeared a lockbox (and wobbled), and we were left with a big MISSING banner and one of Julie's designer shoes alone onstage (Saint Laurent, for those keeping track). Maybe Rachel murders her to kick off the mystery and she'll barge in the front door hollering she's back, bitches. We'll know soon enough.  I'd heard from several sources that move-in night was extremely chaotic and confusing, comps- and twists-wise. And it proved to be true. Read on.  Okay, on with the show! Julie opened from inside the house, showing some of the decor we've seen and teasing that lots of adjective-heavy mysteries were on the way. Then she came out the front door looking like she'd just been evicted(!) and we were off. They got right to intro packages for the first eight and they were gathered onstage to hear more mysteries hype. Julie sent them inside in groups of four, like she does. Zach was first in (oops), along with Amy, Adrian, Kelly, and they were followed by Keanu, Lauren, Ashley, Rylie. Then came the other eight and their intros, and more mysteries hype, and their entry groups were Mickey, Zae, Katherine, Jimmy, followed by Vince, Morgan, Ava, Will.  They flashed to a digital clock counting down several times and it finally hit zero as the group was sitting around the living room playing get-to-know-you. Chances are they'd been scattered and were called to the living room, but it came off as natural. Then came the clip we saw earlier today: the lights went out, the drop table dropped, and Julie disappeared like Cinderella, leaving only her shoe behind. A "masked mastermind" appeared on their monitor to tell them he was behind Julie's and the HOH relic box's disappearance. A phone rang with Julie on the other end telling them to split into two groups: one to hunt for her, and one to hunt for the HOH box, with a "game-changing reward" for the winner of each group.   The first group had to find Julie, who was behind one of eight doors. They had to build a bridge with puzzle pieces to get to the doors. Each door had a recorded message from Julie with details from their time onstage with her, what she was wearing, etc. One statement was true and other seven false. First to open the correct door with the true statement won, and wrong door guessers were eliminated, but I don't think anyone was eliminated. Zach took a chance and opened the correct door pretty quick and there she was. He won $10k, which I wouldn't call "game-changing" like the mastermind guy said. (Unless the others hold it against him later, but opening night adrenaline and chaos sometimes makes them kind of forget Day 1 prizes.)   The second group had to find the HOH relic box among dozens of lookalikes, based on clues scattered around involving keys, gems, shapes. Wrong answers were dropped down a trap door! Keanu got dropped and was followed by Kelley, Zae, Will, Morgan, Katherine. Only Jimmy and Ashley were left, and Jimmy got the right box. For his reward, he got to select the four players who'd compete for HOH. Meetings ensued, like they do, but we didn't hear most of those - just a few boilerplate comments (and Diaries) about wanting or not wanting the first HOH. He picked himself, Adrian, Ashley, Vince to play.   Julie told us "we've been dropping clues all week, have you figured it out?" about the mystery hamster, and we groaned because they'd already pretty much told us.  The HOH comp - yep, we're still going - was Destroy the Lair, meaning the masked dude's lair, which was the setting for the comp. It was the one where they had to hang objects ("cores" this time) on wobbly metallic tree-like limbs ("BB Blaster" this time) so they were balanced, and it had to hold its balance for 10 seconds after the player started their clock. There was a lot of wobbling and dropping, but Vince finally won. After the players and the dozen spectators went back inside, red lights flashed and shakycam shook the playing field/lair, and an explosion erupted from an uninhabited coastal area somewhere. Okay. Julie told Vince about his duties, and that there will once again be three nominees this year, with one saving his or herself live on eviction night in the AI Arena BB Blockbuster comp.The masked dude showed up on their monitor again and said they have another housemate and competitor coming, and Rachel made a dramatic entrance down the stairs. It was almost, almost as dramatic as Todrick's descent when he arrived for noms when HOH. She announced herself as "reality royalty" and many recognized her. The masked dude popped up again during the introductions circle to say Rachel is in the game but not as the 17th houseguest. He said he has a secret accomplice who's #17, one of them, who's been helping with the lights and doors effects. If a majority of them figures out who it is (presumably with individual Diary "votes"?) they'd go home. If they don't guess who it is by a majority, the accomplice will remain in the game, making 17 players in all. The accomplice's portrait is a silhouette that lines up with Zach's cast pic, but that could be coincidental. Recall on Rachel's first season, the Saboteur's silhouette was male but Annie had the job.  We'll find out who it is on Sunday's show, which will also have first nominations - those are taking place tomorrow in the house.
