Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 27 - Monday - August 28, 2023

Waiting for the veto meeting, Cameron did some BBsplaining to Bowie, which included "Izzy's done, she's not gonna make it much farther." Bowie said she'd been on her best behavior lately, and Cam said if she can do that now, why not always. Cameron later talked to Cirie and Felicia about targeting Blue or America next, unaware that plans had been afoot to boot Blue this week. But as is typical this season, there's been talk of scrapping that plan and booting Jag after all. Cory told Cirie "the America thing" was weird, adding he wasn't entirely sure her crush on him was real but he said regardless, he'd set boundaries for himself coming in, and his mom's watching. Later, Jared and Cory talked about upcoming weeks and Jared said they need to remove two people from the Cirie/Felicia side in order to move forward with Blue and America.

Red did not use his veto so Blue and Jag remained on the block. Voting for the Invincibility Power competition closed this morning: time will tell if we'll learn who/how/when the top four will compete for that, and who wins, before it's announced on Thursday's show. Blue, Cirie, Jag talked about possible job-liars and wondered if Cory's a secret lawyer or law student because "they cast a lawyer every season." Won't they be surprised when they learn Bowie is (was) a barrister as well as a DJ (especially as they've started doubting she's actually a DJ). Cory and Mecole had a lengthy chat/check-in, including his situation with America which he seems to find very awkward. Izzy told Jag everything's good for him to stay but it's imperative nobody find out, including Blue. And she said everyone was sketched out because Blue hadn't campaigned at all, to anyone. Cirie with Jared present asked Matt to find out from Red and Cameron what their plans are if Red wins HOH. (She and Felicia had mentioned flipping back to keeping Blue when they heard Cameron wanted to target Blue and America next.)

Nearly all of them sat outside chatting general topics, with nobody whispering off to the side. That seemed highly suspicious for this group, but maybe we were looking too hard for hints for who may have been told about the vote. Several were called to Diary, including Jared. When he came back out Izzy nodded to him and Bowie said "that was quick!" Jared said "it was" and Izzy laughed. Again, could be something or could be nothing. They might have just been doing routine post-veto meeting blurbs in there. Cirie and Izzy whispered a bit about the Jag versus Blue decision, weighing pros and cons, and Cirie told Red that Blue had told her and Felicia she wanted to stay, but she hadn't made a hard pitch beyond that. Blue then had a lengthy general topics chat with Felicia, who finally asked if she and Jared were "actually liking each other?" Blue said "yeah, genuinely" and talked about how that had developed. Cirie joined and Blue kept going, eventually saying she'd told Jared if he goes out, it'll be on her HOH. She clarified that would be down the road sometime, "not next week." She said they were each playing their own games and she wouldn't keep him in the game just because of their relationship, and she didn't want him to keep her just for that either. Okay then.

Matt and Jag placed Froot Loops on America's knee as she napped, getting to 17 of them before she stirred and BB ran the "no napping" announcement. Cameron and Red carried on their self-congratulating upstairs, planning cruises together and the like. Red said "chillbillies coast to coast" and Cameron said they were past that, "you're the chillbilly, we're chillers, we've already got our name, it just locked, that shit's a hashtag and it's over." No. Jag and America had a check-in and joked about how great the Unreliables were doing this week, before settling into a more serious gametalk. Cirie and Izzy decided Bowie was lying about her age and was at least 40 (actually 45). Have-not Izzy started talking about food a lot today, which Cirie griped to Jared about, along with Bowie following her around, and thinking Red's lying to her. Fellow Have-not Cory did a solo monologue in the backyard about ranking words, when the rest of them dished up pork and lamb chops. Felicia told Izzy about Blue saying she'd cut Jared on her HOH, with Mecole present, and they agreed Blue's got to go this week.

Felicia, Jared, Matt, Mecole had an impromptu anti-Red/Cameron meeting in the bathroom after dinner. At one point Felicia went into the toilet and came out saying "it was all air" and "I need a Pamper, I am so afraid I'm gonna shit on myself!" And she busted out laughing, along with the rest of them. She said she'd had a protein shake and it went right through her. Matt asked for clarification and was told she said Pamper, he laughed and said "I was hearing right!"

Jared and Felicia then met again outside for a lengthy chat and she said "can I tell you something? They'll get mad at me if they find out" and she told him about the plan to flip the vote to evict Blue (which Cirie had already told him about). He went into a long roundabout argue about that. And they agreed Izzy was becoming "a nuisance and a detriment to our side" and they hoped Cirie would be able to vote her out when the time comes. Cory told Izzy he talked to Blue today for the first time in weeks, and he said she complained about Jared always telling her what to do strategically and she wanted to beat him in a competition, etc. He also said he likes Jag a lot, but he never knows what to say to him when he approaches to talk, adding "and he's an approacher."

The relative calm of the day (for this group) shattered when Jared and Cirie had a pantry check-in. Jared said Felicia told him about the vote flip to evict Blue, and that Felicia said she had an F2 with Cirie but she wasn't so sure about that anymore, and maybe she should have an F2 with Jared. Mother and son went back and forth about the vote a long time, ice cream melting on the counter, and Jared saying he didn't trust Jag, that he'd turn against them even if they saved him, and Cirie said nobody else trusts Blue. Jared said Izzy told him Jag had been bringing info to Red and Cameron, and Cirie repeated how Blue said she wanted to be the one to take out Jared later. They kept at it, getting nowhere, and Cirie even pulled out the pointy finger, but she finally said she wasn't going to try to convince Jared to keep Jag anymore, adding "we're fucked if we keep Blue," and Jared said he'll feel the same if they keep Jag.

Cirie reported to Izzy who wanted to talk to Jared right away but Cirie told her to wait on that. Izzy said she hadn't told Jared that Jag was ratting them out, so she'd open with that when she talks with Jared. And she said she'd tell Jared he can dump on her about Cirie if he felt he needed to. Cirie said he wouldn't do that, he wouldn't be disrespectful about her. Blue told Jared she needed to start talking to people about their votes. Felicia told Mecole they should hold a meeting to figure out the vote. Red and Cameron went to HOH to try to figure out why everyone was scrambling again, and they decided Cameron would talk to Jared and Red would talk to Cirie to figure it out. Cameron talked with Jared, Jared then met with Izzy to rehash it all, and Cirie talked Jag versus Blue with Cory. Red went OFF about Izzy to Cirie, saying he didn't even want to be in an alliance with her anymore. Izzy was summoned, they talked it out calmly, and both will probably continue to gripe about the other.

Day 28 - Tuesday - August 29, 2023

I keep looking at how long these entries are, and telling myself I need to cut back a bit. But these hamsters keep doing too much, so I keep doing too much. So apologies for the lengthy reads, but I don't think we've ever had such a chaotic season, and even posting the bare minimums end up being novel length.

Legend 25 had a meeting overnight with a theme of "we gotta keep the band together, kids." Morning fallout included Izzy saying she'd been ambushed. Red and Cameron did their usual misguided analysis, both of them now anti-America ("she's using her womanly wiles") and still anti-Izzy but agreeing she was a shield, Cameron now anti-Cory, and both agreeing Bowie was "spacey and floaty" but very loyal. (Pick a lane gentlemen, pick a lane.) Cameron said Red trusts Cirie more than he does, and Red said he trusts her so much he'd give up his game for her. Blue told America that Felicia/Cirie/Izzy/Jared need to be broken up, and Mecole told Cory he was looking tired and should get more sleep.

They were told a power was up for grabs but not what it can do, and that there'd been a viewer vote where the top four would compete for it, and that only the winner would be told what the power is. They started going out one by one in alpha order to compete. It sounded like the non-vote winners didn't actually compete, and of course some were going to lie about whether they did or didn't. They went out the front door for that so my guess is a setup on the stage and since it's Comicverse and they were told comp clothes weren't needed, maybe a carnival type game? We'll find out. Naturally speculation ran wild. Jag and Blue were thrilled there could be a chance they'd both stay, and Cirie and Izzy were thrilled their voting dilemma might be solved.

Each hamster was gone for about 25 minutes and in/out cycling was blocked from us so there was a lot of WBRB, but I'm surprised and glad we didn't get all-day anipals. Nobody admitted to being one of the top four who played after eight had taken their trip outside the front door, but chances are pretty high some were lying. After Red's big stink last night about people going off to whisper in twos and threes, nobody was doing much of that today so we're just on a wait-and-see. If I had to bet, I'd say America, Cory, Cirie played for the power, with the fourth spot going to Felicia, Izzy, Jag, Matt or Red. Reminder, I am notoriously bad at predicting such things. Meanwhile, we know that nine of them found out they weren't one the top four viewer picks, so popcorn.

Jag made a campaign pitch to Jared that he listened to better than he did to Cirie last night. Cory and Jared talked about how not knowing what the power did or how long it was good for made it difficult and pointless to try to plan around, and Jared said he hadn't been playing risky anyway. (After his pantry argument with Cirie last night and her shaking her finger at him, I beg to differ.) Blue finally started campaigning, giving a pitch to Mecole. Jag also pitched to Bowie, who said it wasn't her decision to make because she wasn't the HOH. Red joined them and when they left, Jag seemed to give a very small and subtle smile to the camera, possibly indicating he'd played for the power. Cirie dropped some suspicion seeds to Cory and Izzy that she thought Felicia played. Cirie later confirmed to Izzy and to Jared (separately) that she had played, and she thought Felicia had too because she'd mentioned something that was on Cirie's card.

After everyone had cycled through the comp/no comp, all of them denied to each other that they'd been one of the four to play. The only sure confirmations we had were Cirie telling Izzy and Jared that she had, and Matt told Cirie he had competed. She told him she had as well, and both said they thought they'd done badly. The winner of the comp will be notified sometime tonight. Red was the last to go out and he sat silently alone for several minutes, seemingly upset that he hadn't been voted to play, although he didn't voice that. (I feel he would have said something if he had, if only to us.) Felicia leaned onto the kitchen counter saying she thought her blood sugar dropped. Cirie happened to be there and asked what she needed, and Felicia asked for a glass of water. Extended WBRBs followed that but Felicia was there and fine when feeds returned.

Cirie and Mecole met in the pantry and Cirie said they can't keep talking Red off the ledge because of things Izzy does or says to upset him. Cirie said she's Brown Sugar Babes all the way and she can't keep protecting Izzy. Mecole said Red's a good liar and maybe he's exaggerating or making up some of it. Felicia joined and they tentatively agreed on voting out Jag. You know by now to keep that in very light, erasable pencil. Blue gave Korean lessons to several in the backyard, followed by Bowie giving Australian lessons. You haven't lived til you hear a group of hamsters trying to say "crikey!" and "oh naurr!" correctly. Most of the non-sloppers lined up for Taco Tuesday.

WBRB was out of control throughout the evening, giving us just a few moments of feeds between lengthy blocks. We did catch enough glimpses to hear Diary calls for several of them, so they were presumably being cycled through there to be told their comp results, if any, and/or to share their thoughts about the whole mysterious twist. Blue campaigned to Izzy, which ended up being more Izzy coaching Blue on how to pitch, and we heard Jared say feedsters don't know what's going on if a hamster couple goes undercovers. This guy is in for a rude awakening when he gets out (let us count the ways). We saw Cirie alone in her comics room, where she said "thank you America!" very quietly but enthusiastically to one of the cameras, and then she did a little happy hands thing with a big smile. Most took this to mean she'd found out she won the comp and the power, which she probably did, but that's unconfirmed as of now. Feeds went down at 9.48pm and were still down at 11pm, so I guess I'll wrap it up here, and catch up tomorrow if anything else happens tonight.

Day 29 - Wednesday - August 30, 2023

Feeds stayed off a lot last night, but came back a bit to America snuggling Cory in the hammock, and saying she wanted to target Cirie's group because they stop whispering when she approaches, when they're supposed to be in an alliance. And Cory told her he played in the secret comp (which may be true but he's so cagey, I'm not sold.) Cory talked to Izzy this morning saying he didn't have real feelings for America, at least not yet, and he asked if he's the asshole about her, and Izzy said no. Cory said he's not working against Izzy and Cirie, and said he doesn't jump in to contradict Red when he shittalks people due to game/goodwill reasons. (Thus planting a seed bomb implying Red's still shittalking Izzy.) Jag campaigned to Felicia saying he wanted to go to the end with her, and that he'd remain a target if he stays, while Blue wouldn't. And he said he'll target Red if he stays and vice versa. Felicia said to talk to Izzy and Cirie, that they had been wanting to keep Jag but "now these guys are almost afraid." Jag did that later, and he also told Cirie and Felicia he'd played in yesterday's power comp. Jared did some campaigning for Blue, which included a check-in with Cory.

Meetings, whispers, and more meetings were the order of the day, not surprisingly, along with frequent feeds blocks. Red met with Matt and Bowie, Matt in his role as double agent and Bowie in her role as textbook BB floater (and coaster). She told Red if the HOH comp comes down to Red and her, she'd give it to him. He said he just wants the letter, he doesn't care about the power, and said he'd even let Bowie choose the noms if it unfolded that way. Bowie's response was "I don't want to choose the noms either!"

Jag continued campaigning hard, and Blue continued not doing much. Her lack of campaigning or even quick check-ins became the new "Cameron didn't even pack," making some suspicious that she felt safe for reasons they didn't know. (Chances are it was more a matter of being a casting recruit amid all these hardcore gamers.) She and Jag had a check-in, where she said her biggest regret was trusting Cameron early on. Jared continued playing devil's advocate (or just advocating) for Jag to go, saying he'd lost faith when Jag lied yesterday about not playing the power comp, then coming clean about it today. Never mind the fact that everyone who played it lied about it yesterday. Jag was still tomorrow's eviction target for most, but Waffle Wednesday was in full bloom with endless meetings, discussions, future scenarios, what-ifs, and paranoia.

Cirie told Jared that Matt won the power, and what it does. She had the details right, and she added some info on top of what we've heard. She said Matt has to tell Diary tomorrow morning if he'll use it or not, and if his choice gets evicted they'd be saved, the entire week resets and everyone plays for HOH. If his choice is not evicted, the power will be considered unused and will stay in play the following week. That will all be confirmed on the show. Probably. Jared had been crowing about having Matt in his pocket and when Cirie left, he muttered "damn, damn" to himself, and definitely looked shaken that Matt confided in his mom and not him. Mecole worked on her stunt hair and chatted with America and Blue, and later several of the women planned a makeover for Izzy. (It didn't happen.) Cirie told Blue she was open to her staying and playing with her, which Blue liked hearing. Cirie then told her the plan was for Blue to stay, and they hugged. Cameron told Bowie, Cirie, Izzy, Red if they thought Jag had five votes, to come to him so he could talk to those five and "handle the split professionally."

Interestingly, we found out on tonight's show that Blue had indeed been hearing and collecting Jared's hints about his moms. She has yet to say anything about that on feeds.

Jag kept campaigning his brains out, and Cirie suggested he get everyone in a room to ask their votes. Apparently Jag took that to heart and said he wanted to do it because he was confident he had eight votes. Cory reported that to Izzy and Cirie, and Cirie fell out laughing hard, hollering "I gotta pee!!" They started talking about ways to avoid such a meeting, and Cirie said "I might have told him to [call that meeting]." America wasn't having it and told Cory to "get his girls in check," and she tried to tell Jag he was getting played, it was like the Reilly situation, but Jag wouldn't hear her. She repeated that he had her vote if he has the other votes (knowing he didn't), and she said the same about Cory. Jag kept believing what he wanted to believe, even when America said "let's do it, let's see what Cirie the mastermind can come up with." And she said what if Jag calls a meeting and nobody shows up? So much popcorn. America got heated about Cirie and Izzy, later saying she'd gone into chihuahua mode. At one point Cameron walked past her, Cory, Jag and she said "fuck you." Jag kept saying he'd told everyone it was in their best interests to keep him, so they will. America reported the situation to Blue, saying "they think they're playing a super smart game but they're not, and nobody's calling them out on it." Blue said it's all so stressful, and that Jared wanted alone time with her later.

If all that wasn't enough, Cory told America that Cirie told him Red called her (America) a bitch. She said she wanted to confront Red about that, but Cory talked her down. You can bet that'll come up again sooner or later. Jag pitched to Cameron, presumably because a tie vote is possible, and Cameron seemed to finally make some headway by saying if Jag hadn't heard 100% he had the votes and was going to stay, it probably wasn't good. (This is the fourth eviction and they've all been chaotic like this, so Jag should know that anyway, but no.) Cameron said he loves Jag as a person and all the rest of the typical script, and said he couldn't go around rallying votes for Jag at this point, "that'd be weird." I take it back: Jag still didn't get it, and met with Felicia in the pantry and started up about holding his meeting again. Meanwhile Matt told Cory he thought they should just tell Jag he's a goner but Cory advised against that, and said if the vote meeting actually happens, he'll just lie.

Izzy sat out the chaos for maybe the first time, laying in her doggie bed and waiting for midnight and food to roll around. But that didn't last either. Bowie had been crying earlier, I think because Izzy didn't laugh at a joke, and because everyone had left her alone in a room (again). That set off Cirie who ranted to Jared and Mecole about Bowie, switching between impersonating Bowie and saying "she's a grown ass woman" and it was all too much. Felicia told Izzy about it, Izzy got upset, and said Cameron didn't laugh at the joke either. Felicia told her to let it go, she'd just wanted Izzy to be aware. Izzy then complained to Cirie about it, and having to eat Red's cooking at midnight or his snickerdoodle cookies, so she didn't offend him again, and Cirie also told her to let it go. Meanwhile Cirie and Mecole ranted and laughed and ranted some more about Bowie always joining any conversation, and all the rest of it. Cirie said "I need a vacation."

Midnight finally rolled around, hollering and clapping ensued, and Bowie, Cory, Izzy got to eat again. If Jag holds his meeting, I'll catch that up tomorrow (if it's noteworthy). As of now, Jag will be evicted tomorrow and his meeting isn't likely to change that.

I'm pleasantly surprised they finally brought back the Pressure Cooker comp, and that they did it without many real hazards to make it end sooner than the original. Part of what made the original legendary and fun to watch was outgoing HOH Howie entertaining them and us throughout (and irritating some of them). Felicia would have been every bit as good a host but having her watch it on the living room monitor didn't really work. However we did get some major bashing (with associated laughs and cringe) when Cirie, Izzy, Jared finally joined her.

3rd evicted - Day 23

He painted a target on himself by winning the first two vetos and the second HOH, and he knew that. He started out fun and lively but he got HOHitis so bad his own alliance orchestrated a blindside plan to put him up and out. His campaign pitches were painful, right? As he gave marathon speeches, right? In his soft breathy voice, right? To anyone he could corner for an hour, right? He was a superb comp host and game show emcee for one of the few group activities they did.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

24 - Recruit - Single
Bartender - Nashville, TN

2nd evicted - Day 16

Four people were already nominated when she won the first HOH and all she had to do was remove two. She spent most of the first days repeating she wanted an alliance of eight, which she eventually pulled together, with F2, F3, F4 along the way. She had it made but then found out everyone else knew about her eight and she spent the rest of her HOH week in tears. Then she hit the block and campaigned poorly, but at least she went out fighting.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

25 - Recruit - Single
Molecular biologist - Houston, TX

1st evicted - Day 9

She was on the block when she started to pitch and double-dip, and you can't blame her for that. Being new to BB, that's what she'd seen on the shows, and most everyone else started doing the same thing right away anyway. But Kirsten became an easy scapegoat since she wasn't in their inner power circles. She would have been good feeds: she planned a scorching nominee speech, but then opted to go out classy and didn't use it.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

30 - Survivor applicant - Single
Illustrator - Coral Springs, FL

Ejected Day 8

Between hamsters thinking he was a secret doctor and feedsters thinking he was a secret twin, his week was full of unintentional comedy. He added to that by not knowing the show or that the game had started without him, then he worked hard to join the game in progress, with no success. Then he dropped the n-word, and then he was gone.

Lines and Links of the Day

Lines

Izzy to Cory, across the yard: What are you doing over there, playing rock paper scissor with yourself?

Jared: Jag's a snake
Cirie: Nobody here is not a snake, Cory's a snake, Blue's a snake, America's a snake, Red's a snake, Cameron's a snake

Blue: This is gonna be a boring week

@AMikeBloomType: So just to sum #BB25 up: A woman is trying to evict, behind her son's back, his showmance. The person believes that said son's in-house mother is someone totally different, and has been kissing her butt. And now the real mom and the fake mom are beefing.

Jared to Cory: You don't have the greatest personality for people to want to make you a fan favorite

Red: Mostly I just want to know that America loves me
Cameron: That'd be cool but also a piece of me has never really trusted those things

Cirie: If you hear us say America, we're not talking about America, we're talking about America

Izzy I'm a professional runner-up

Cory: I do wonder if we're gonna have 13 people say they didn't [compete]

Blue: Do you think you look more like your dad than your mom?
Jared: Yeah, probably

Cory: Then again, you know who got third place for AFP last year? Kyle - take that for what it is
Felicia: Right, because sometimes they really do like the asshole
Cory: Oh yeah, all the Facebook - they get to vote too

Bowie: I'd like to leave here ripped
Cameron: That'd be cool, I'd like to live anywhere ripped

Matt: I breathed in a rice

Izzy: Doesn't the house feel quiet today?
Matt: Oh yeah.. the house is quiet always for me

Felicia: I can't wait to go home and just sit on my patio
Cirie: I'm thinking about sittin' on something too
Everyone: [roaring laughter]

Cirie Diary about Blue/Jared condom use: I don't want to know.. ew.. [laugh]

Jag Diary: If I end up staying, I'll unleash the Turbanator

Cameron to Red: There's no other side anymore, it's us, Matt's on our side and that's it
