Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 17 - Friday - July 23, 2021

Xavier got his room around 1.30am last night. There was so much oohing and ahhing over his pics, he couldn't even get in to see them for a sec before they cleared a path for him. He got a new bucket hat, a hoodie, socks, a bandana, beers, music by J Cole, and a letter from his mom. After reading it, he said "you guys have kissed my butt, now you can all go to bed," and laughed. When they did leave, he teared up looking at his pics, saying "miss you bro."

Derek F tried to point fingers at SarahB to Azah, and said there's a girls alliance without Azah, and if another guy goes, the six members of Cookout won't be able to get to the end, but Azah wasn't biting.

Tiffany solidified her F2 with Kyland this morning, as planned. She said if the two of them are in finals at the end, it'd be a win-win for culture and for the show, as well as for each of them. He agreed, and she asked if he was suggesting a final two deal. Note how she did that, making it seem like his suggestion, since she already seems to have an F2 deal with Claire. But he came back saying yes they should make an F2 if she, as his BB coach, thought they should. This was a very lengthy convo about many things, with a very lengthy handclasp.

Feeds went to anipals around 10am for their Wildcard player picks and comp. Xavier hadn't yet held his planned team meetings, but maybe he did quickies between player picks and comp. Feeds returned around 1.40pm and Tiffany had won the Wildcard, and did not take the safety. I'm unclear what the risk was but we'll find out on Sunday's show if not before. Britini and Derek X also played. It was a balance beam comp, involving some way of targeting others, and there were claims that Derek X and Tiffany worked together to target Britini. Britini was upset and crying, and various people tried to calm her down but Tiffany was the one who succeeded in talking her off the ledge.

Azah was also upset because she's become close with Britini but also targeting her would affect Azah's team, again. Tiffany told Xavier that Azah was playing personally and emotionally, and that was making things difficult for Tiffany. Xavier held one-on-ones with a plan to put up Britini and Brent, with Brent still his target, but he planned to create a misdirection to make it seem otherwise to Brent. He told several of them this plan, and said "it's gonna take a lot of not talking" to work - good luck with that. Azah told him to put her up rather than making Britini go through another week on the block, pointlessly, if he insisted on an elaborate ruse. And she urged him to skip the whole pawn plan and put up two people from Team Aces since they have no Cookout members. I guess she isn't acknowledging Hannah's membership as full-fledged, but merely adjacent. Meetings carried on with a final re-appearance from Brent, who told Xavier he knows he's not a pawn because his team told him so, and it will piss them off if he goes on the block. Maybe Whitney or even Alyssa said something, I don't know, but Derek X and Hannah happily threw the HOH comp specifically so Brent would be eligible for nomination and eviction.

Xavier nominated Brent and Britini, as elaborately planned. Feeds came back to Britini crying and Xavier reassuring her. Then Brent approached Xavier, who continued the ruse, and Brent spewed more of his trademark ridiculous lines about how intelligent he is, he's not pawn material, and the like (see Lines of the Day below). He asked if his team knew what Xavier was going to do, and Xavier said "no, nobody." Buy stock in popcorn, my friends. Xavier urged both nominees to gun for the veto, and checked in with various others to urge them to keep the ruse alive. Brent later told his fellow Aces "it's important we realize this is not a pawn scenario, I am the target," and he said if it's a close vote on Thursday, they'll know where everyone's loyalties lie. Well, he'll learn anyway, if he doesn't catch on before then. Brent then ran the same spiel to Tiffany, and his Aces Teamies, and Alyssa. And Xavier warned Claire and Kyland that he'll pretend Claire is his real target to keep the ruse alive.

Brent continued making rounds, denying being pawn material and (mistakenly) confident he'd have the votes to stay if he's still on the block on Thursday, and continuously talking about the "all girl alliance" threat. A number of retells about those rounds brought laughter along with boasts of good lying - not necessarily something you want to boast about in the BB habitat. Britini started to settle down a bit but had a few more bursts of anger and angst. Azah and Tiffany had a quick meeting with Azah asking why Tiffany and Derek X went for Britini in the comp. Tiffany said it was to keep her (Azah) and Derek F safe, and also because Derek X didn't want the win. It was a somewhat tense meeting, not nearly as close and cordial as they've been previously. Derek F went to HOH to talk to Xavier, who asked Alyssa and Christian to leave. Derek asked for, and got, one of Xavier's beers before saying he was worried about Azah, that she's becoming increasingly upset about being left out of the Cookout communication loops. Xavier told Derek he'd have to use the veto on Britini if he plays and wins since she's on his team.

And if things weren't messy enough, famously not-a-showmance Alyssa and Christian crossed over into official mance territory with a quick undercovers makeout session. In Xavier's bed. I heard them say something the other night about nobody had caught on to some activity they were doing at night, so they might be trying to keep it secret. Since they rarely leave each other's side, I don't know how they think they're fooling anyone. But in fact they aren't: Xavier caught them. Dinner was served, salmon burgers by Azah, and someone commented how quiet it was around the dinner table. Christian said "Frenchie was a talker" - accurate. Later, Xavier poked fun at Alyssa and Christian, hilariously, for thinking they were slick about hiding their canoodling. And he reminded them of their prior claims that they were like brother and sister: "you're incesting." Britini finally moved on from griping to working on her speech/rap, again. Azah and Derek X had a chat about the comp and how/why he threw it.

Day 16 - Thursday - July 22, 2021

Frenchie ran his loops for this last day, announcing once again he won't be going on social media, and blah blah blah. Overnight, Derek X talked Brent into throwing the HOH comp, but then Frenchie let Brent know half the house was gunning for him. Also the new Royal Family alliance renamed themselves Royal Flush. Derek F had a long talk with his replacement boo Kyland, and said he'll target Brent and Christian. Tiffany also had a talk with Kyland, explaining that Alyssa is high on her hit list along with Brent and Whitney. Whitney planted a fake/thumb-blocked kiss on Kyland. Breakfast chat included past seasons of course, and what their comics might be. They haven't yet caught on that things like BB Comics refer to their jobs or things that have been on the CBS shows, not all their daily skits and characters. Anti-Brent meetings carried on, mostly due to his problematic and inappropriate (misogynistic) comments, and Frenchie ran a few more farewell and tattoo tours.

Shoutout to Chuck Ganster and other Facebook plagiarists! Try coming up with your own stuff instead of stealing from me and others - thievery is a bad look.

Julie introduced the show teasing "an epic fall from power" against a live shot of Frenchie, and it was downhill for him from there. They did a segment about SarahB losing her dad to COVID, a Britini raps segment as buildup to her speech, and Frenchie campaigns to stay segments, omitting him wanting to quit. Britini did her nominee rap, and Frenchie rattled off his usual cliches plus friendship and farm. Fortunately he did not do any of the performative charades he'd threatened. Julie mispronounced Azah again, and Frenchie walked the plank 11-1, with Derek F being the dissenter as previously promised.

The HOH comp was based on videos the show tweeted earlier in the day, Tom Green doing his trademark nut-on-the-street interviews, this time about BB and his stint on Celebs 2, in Ottawa. Hamsters lined up in their booths to answer true or false about details in the videos. Derek F, Britini, Brent, Christian, Tiffany were out on question 1; Azah on question 2; nobody on question 3; Whitney, Claire on question 4; Derek X, Hannah, Alyssa, SarahB on question 5; leaving Xavier as the winner. Julie told us the Wildcard comp "could create dissent among the teams and throw a monkey wrench into Xavier's nomination plans" but that's the kind of dramatic teaser they've been using, when it hasn't been that big a deal.

Feeds came back 10 minutes after the east coast ended, so that was a welcome change after last week's three-hour delay. Alyssa and Christian apparently used the s-mance word referring to themselves. Derek X and Hannah laughed about how easy the comp was and how fun it was to throw it, once Brent and Whitney were both out. Derek X asked her when people tend to start making F2s and F3s, per prior seasons. (Oops he's behind, loads of them have been made already, and Hannah is also under-allied compared to most: she binged all her impressive BB knowledge from shows only, during quarantine.) He said Brent pitched "the idea" of F2 to him yesterday, but Derek basically told him to wait and see, and didn't commit. Hannah said Brent has one of the biggest egos she's ever seen (accurate).

Team Queens were designated Have-nots for the week, which Tiffany had requested since her birthday is next week, and Kyland wanted a diet plan. Tiffany had a quick whisper with Xavier, and it sounded like he'll probably be putting up Brent and Whitney, as committee-planned last night, or possibly Brent and Britini. Tiffany told us she wants to pitch an F2 to Kyland.

Xavier and Kyland had a meeting about meetings, with Xavier saying he appreciated how Kyland ran his HOH via meetings, and he wanted to do similar. He said he'll have meetings with each team before tomorrow's Wildcard comp, and one-on-ones between the comp and noms. And he said he'd like to meet with Kyland later. Dinner chat was Trader Joe's and Amazon shopping, while Azah, Claire, Kyland, Tiffany discussed various scenarios about Wildcard consequences upstairs. Team Kings had a pantry celebration dance but they planned to meet in there to do it, so it wasn't the same as when those things are spontaneous. Xavier told them he's planning on Brent and Whitney noms. He announced his meetings plans to various groups, adding that he'll meet with teams alphabetically. That sounds ridiculous and lawyerlike, but it was probably so he can meet with Queens last, and that makes sense.

Azah and Derek F had a talk about Cookout and where they stand. Derek F said Kyland assured him last week he was loyal there, but they weren't sure where Xavier stood. Azah also said she thought Xavier is hot, despite everyone else thirsting for Kyland. Shortly after that, Derek F, Kyland, Xavier formed another alliance, but they had trouble coming up with a name, suggesting one copyright suggestion after another. They'll think about it. Brent told Alyssa he's been lip-reading, and he asked her for an F2, and a name for it, but she didn't commit. Instead, she retold the convo to Whitney and Xavier, and later to Christian. Derek X and Kyland decided Britini/Whitney would be the best noms, with Brent as a backdoor target, but Xavier said he respects Brent enough that he wanted to let him have a shot at winning veto.

Xavier still hadn't gotten his room and letter as of 1am, so I'll catch that up tomorrow.

2nd evicted - Day 16

Cast reveal brought controversy plus a major Cody/Derrick mixup, and the feeds opened to him announcing he wouldn't put up a woman or minority, but then he put up Alyssa and Kyland, and it was downhill from there. He did everything a feedster should know not to do: shouting in Diary, talking in cliches, Bomb Squadding, pandering, power-tripping, mistaking BB history items, grandstanding, begging for a viewer save, and threatening to quit. Still, all that gave us a wild ride and super-chaotic first week of feeds that we'd never be able to piece together if we hadn't seen it unfold.

I barely know who he was. He dressed in drag (and looked okay doing so), he gave Kyland a birthday lap dance, took his shirt off for his nominee speech, and complained to Julie that white guys with abs are targets. And he didn't do much to prevent his eviction. That's all I got. Aloha.
