Day 70 - Tuesday - October 13, 2020

Christmas and Memphis joked(?) about terrorizing the habitat and the jury house, depending who ends up where after Thursday, and they even shook hands on it. She said if she goes to jury she'll point and holler "Yellow player! Yellow player! Trash!" (Trash being for Dani, as Christmas has commented often on that being her favorite word, and one Christmas doesn't like.) Memphis said he'll boss everyone around and order Dani to make him dinner, Christmas said if there's a hammock she'll park in it so Ian can't, and they said they'll make up lies to tell everyone. Earlier, Memphis told her he wants to make a sex toy inspired by his MemFist comic. And afterward, Memphis told Nicole he has some strategy to discuss with her to get them to final two.

Christmas held a monologue from the lounge about her alter ego, Comp Christmas. She talked about her in third person and says she's ready to come out. She said "she is ferocious, she takes no prisoners, and she absolutely destroys anyone and anything in her way.. when I switch, it's terrifying if you're between me and my goal." She also said she knows we've been waiting to see Comp Christmas, but she's unaware we did see her on last night's show when she was sobbing in Diary and in her bed about losing the HOH comp. Memphis did a little campaigning to Enzo, and to Cody when he joined, telling them he thinks Nicole wants Christmas out (wrong), and that they'll be fine and in final three if one of them wins the next HOH. Memphis left to "walk the mall" (the upstairs balcony) and Enzo and Cody agreed they didn't trust Memphis, while Christmas by comparison was very transparent. Enzo pushed somewhat for Christmas to go, and Cody acknowledged both had tried to get him backdoored this week, but Memphis was supposed to be with him. Later they met with Nicole, who'd had a lengthy Comp Christmas and "girl power" chat with Christmas. She said she doesn't care who goes this week, and to just let her know if they decide to boot Christmas instead of Memphis.

Vote waffling convos happened in various combos of two, along with speculation about the endgame schedule, both real time and air shows, and what the jurors are doing. Once again starfishies came along frequently and often for extended periods. They did a Taco Tuesday dinner, but it was uneventful. They did their weekly virus tests, and Enzo showed his inner thigh boil that was frostbitten from having an ice pack on it too long. He then did a good impersonation of feedsters' reactions to that: "now that's all over the fucking internet: look at him, ugh what is wrong with him, he's disgusting, they're trying to eat and he's showing his inner leg meat, omg I can't stand him." Christmas retold her Bayleigh/Da'Vonne fight, and some BB19 fights as well. Memphis told all about his college fraternity experience in a very lengthy explanation that could double for an infomercial. I wish I had more but that's actually a lot compared to recent days: the feeds stayed on more during the evening than most recent days.

They got five beers around 9.25pm and hung out in HOH. Cody and Nicole described The Circle for the others who hadn't seen it - that was a fun discussion, and Cody did a shockingly perfect impression of USA S1's Joey. From there they went to charades with much giggling, and from there they went to snacks and attempts to come up with new discussion topics. Later, Christmas and Memphis did some more codetalking, saying they'd been expecting laundry time today but it didn't happen, and there was a conversation they need to have but it can wait.

Day 71 - Wednesday - October 14, 2020

Christmas and Memphis talked over coffee, like they do. I'm thinking their whole laundry/code/secret squirrel shenanigans are more about some money-making scheme they want to do, rather than anything sexual or romantic. But the fanfic is fun and a nice distraction from all the nothing.

This morning's topics included returning to the wild after being safety bubbled up all these weeks. Christmas said it can be scary, "like man, I had a good time" and viewers then say "you suck!" Memphis chimed in "we fuckin hate you!" And Christmas said "it's like that one line you said where you weren't thinking." There will be multiple lines for most of them to answer for this time, and they're also under the impression it's a great season with a lot of positive viewer engagement. They'll be surprised by the general lack of interest, disappointing ratings, and the fact that BB22 is now considered yet another racist season, and a generally awful season.

Christmas continued talking up her supposed badassery to us, Nicole continued studying aloud, Cody continued napping, Memphis continued "walking the mall" and telling random anecdotes, and Enzo continued talking about food and working out. Christmas and Memphis talked about finals, and Memphis said he might vote for Nicole if she's F2 as she got there being a former winner. Cody and Enzo talked about maybe blindsiding Memphis on Thursday - Cody in particular said why not, and that anyone should expect that if they're on the block on eviction day. But later Enzo told Nicole he feels bad that Memphis doesn't know he's going and maybe they should tell him ten minutes before. Nicole said she felt bad too, but she didn't care if they tell him or not.

Christmas deflated the veto floatie to pack it, and Memphis did the same with the shark. Christmas did some more crying after a Diary session, maybe doing her farewell for Memphis? Shortly after, he arrived to give her a very lengthy hug. Very lengthy. Cody, Enzo, Nicole had a short waffling session with Enzo wanting Christmas evicted, Cody wanting Memphis evicted and blindsided, and Nicole saying she'd go along with whatever they decided but she didn't want them to split their votes to make her break the tie. They all agreed they wanted Christmas gone more, but Memphis would be the better option for their game(s). Nicole said "it would be much more fun to blindside her than him, but we're not doing that." It would be more fun, that's for sure.

6th juror, 11th evicted, Day 65

He again made multiple F2s, and landed in various versions of the intertwined big power alliances. He and Bayleigh worked out their issues and fell apart again a few times, and he tangled with Dani, a bad combo for him on top of David's early tell-all faux pas. He showed some entitlement about winning the season, but he told Bayleigh and Da'Vonne that he'd ask Christmas to veto-replace him for one of them so he could go home pre-jury, citing BLM as 'something greater' they were playing for, but his talk with Christmas was shamefully withheld from feeds so we'll never know how it truly unfolded. He bashed us feedsters, and he played hard if desperate at times, but his comp streak wasn't there and he wasn't in on the pre-season ground floor to get to the end.

Won: $5,000; Slop pass, home gym; Basement Replay power/used on Memphis
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

5th juror, 10th evicted, Day 58

She said she wanted to take Janelle's BB Queen crown, but instead she probably damaged her BB reputation. Not only did she not win comps like she used to, but she failed to bring the entertainment factor. To be fair, she didn't whine and complain as much as her prior seasons, but she came close. She either didn't pre-game well or she changed her mind once she saw who all was in there, and when she talked too much too soon about turning on her allies, it was her undoing. She had to nominate four people in her disastrous HOH week, and inexplicably decided not to push for Tyler to go once she had him on the block, even though her original plan for the week was to boot him out the backdoor.

Won: $10,000; Basement Disruptor/gave himself immunity Week 6
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 4/0/0 - HN 2

4th juror, 9th evicted, Day 58

He got a lot of flak for not being an 'all-star' but many of them technically weren't, and he deserved another shot more than most first boots. He went farther than many expected, but that was mostly due to power group shufflings rather than his own doing, other than the save he earned himself with the Disruptor power. But he blew that by fake crying and bad lying, and he caused a number of rants when he took $10k rather than veto in OTEV. He was an erratic player, often seeming brilliant and clueless in the same moment, but he eventually worked himself into a decent social position against many odds, not the least being Nicole's vote lie. But Memphis finally got his way and got him gone.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 5/0/0 - HN 2

3rd juror, 8th evicted, Day 58

He went on the block at the start and never recovered. He wouldn't forgive his former idol Janelle from preferring Keesha stay that first week so he tattled on her, which helped to destroy all hope of the outliers banding together to take on the dominant power alliances. Then he became the pawn star and was nominated four more times, winning only one veto himself and once benefiting from Da'Vonne's win. He spent way too much time trying to analyze who was with whom, sometimes accurately but often way off, and he didn't do anything about it anyway. He was perky and snarky in Diary, but on feeds he was mostly miserable and mopey, rarely coming out of his Eeyore gloom.

Won: $5,000
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 2

2nd juror, 7th evicted, Day 51

Winning was one goal she didn't achieve, but she was highly successful with her other goal, to raise awareness of the extra challenges Black hamsters face in this game. Those goals conflicted when David tattled a confidence and again when she believed Nicole's lie blaming her vote on David. She made some messy game choices, but she made eloquent, impassioned block speeches, she had compelling in-depth convos, particularly with Kaysar, and she pointed out the frustrating facts when her point was repeatedly proven. She won a huge but teeny tiny veto, and she once again provided endless reaction memes and gifs. She was the heart and soul, and most of the entertainment, of this season.

Won: Safety Suit #2 (Christmas's win)/1 week space skits
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 2

1st juror, 6th evicted, Day 44

His plan to lay low at first was foiled by the ones who started gaming long before move-in, and his F2 with Nicole was only insurance on her part since she was tighter with the power group. Learning that broke him and it was downhill from there. He showed some entitlement about deserving to win but talked about his struggles learning to lose, which proved him vulnerable and human. He did a superb job with his skits, and talked openly about being on the spectrum, and it was so good to see him again. As before, I wish him well in all he does.

Won: 500 tricycle laps
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

5th evicted, Day 37

She and Tyler had their ups and downs, repairing their relationship from last time and breaking it up again, and that affected the game in various ways. Her friendship with Janelle was fun to watch, and her friendship with Da'Vonne was golden, the type that will likely last long after this season's forgotten. She gave yoga classes, and she rode 500 backyard laps on a tricycle as a veto repercussion, 40 with only one pedal, and BB didn't even put it on the show. Her great attitude riding those laps, mostly to spite her haters, was a joy to behold.

Won: Safety Suite #1
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1

4th evicted, Day 30

His BB strategy plans have always held promise but implementing them, not so much. But no matter: he was and is a class act, and he always brings the kind of much-needed humanity our feeds are usually lacking in a big way. It's too bad things didn't work out differently this time but it was great to see him on our feeds again, both for himself and for his fun friendship with Janelle.

Won: Safety Suit #1 (Kaysar's win)/1 week star
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

3rd evicted, Day 23

It was great to see her on feeds again, especially her easy friendship with Kaysar. She was BB6 Janelle again but without the in-your-face name-calling that would have made things more fun for us, but props to her for not going there. It's astounding how hard she was targeted just for showing up, proof that Janellousy is still real.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

2nd evicted, Day 16

Imagine going on BB and not wanting to work with Janelle and Kaysar. Having them to go bat for you, hard, and then throwing it back in their faces. It's mind-boggling. She was in way over her head this season, made one bad decision after another, and she repeatedly promised us a house meeting that she never delivered.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

1st evicted, Day 9

She was feisty her first time around but like all of them, she's older and more mature now, and her birthday happened before they moved in, so we didn't get any new memorable Keesha scenes. But it was good to see her again and she got a nice check for two weeks isolation and one week of summer camp.

BB22 finalist prizes are $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. 3rd place gets $10k bonus, 4th place gets $7.5k, 5th place gets $5k. All got $40k for showing up, plus $1k stipend per week.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.

"Position the habitat of your hamster somewhere light and airy, away from drafts, heaters, direct sunlight
and other pets. Never put it on or near a television, radio or hi-fi, or a fridge."
