That was done by 9am: players will be Dani, Kevin, Tyler plus Da'Vonne, Enzo, Ian, and Nicole hosting. The yard remained open and there was chatter about them playing their comp "in the basement." Talk continued about David denying his power, and he said something to Christmas about wanting to play chess, not checkers. Dani told Nicole she wondered if she was looking bad on the show, "like a poor sport," because she's always crying lately in Diary, including about her power. Nicole, who cried for the first few weeks until Janelle left, told her not to worry about it. Memphis realized they forgot yesterday was 9/11, and he and Cody said "never forget." They went on to wonder what Tyler was doing last week and how messy it all got, and Memphis said "I need an explanation" if noms stay the same, implying he might be ready and willing to send Tyler to jury. They commented about the smoky skies from the massive California fires they aren't aware of, and they noticed bits of ash fluttering around the yard. A drone or something got their attention but it wasn't a message for them so feeds didn't go off for more than a minute. Kevin started his usual theory-vomit to Da'Vonne, asking things like what if there's a guys alliance and David's part of it, and he asked her to use veto on him if he wins. That led to him saying "imagine if you win and you pull me off, it will force the roaches to scatter at this point, this is the story arc of underdogs where we can shift power without winning HOH" and you could almost hear the soaring triumphant movie music. Enzo told Cody he might use veto on Tyler if he wins, and they hoped Tyler wins so they don't have to tangle with Dani about him. Dani told Da'Vonne not to worry about going up as renom, that she was "no-touch zone," and later Dani told Nicole she would "never" nominate Ian or Da'Vonne. Feeds went to adoptable anipals around 12.30pm and were only down for two hours. Da'Vonne won her first BB comp and had a teeny tiny veto to show for it. She held it up to a zapper and said "make it bigger!" The non-competitors got to watch the comp on their monitor and all agreed it was a difficult one. They had to knock things off of something properly, possibly through a scope of some kind, "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" style, using chopsticks and tweezers? I couldn't piece it together but there was a big piece of equipment in the pantry. They said they got yelled at, and even cursed at for not following the rules at some points. Now begins the Great Waffling, once again. Tyler told Christmas he'd go, she said he wouldn't, and he said if he does, he wouldn't stay in jury. He and Cody had a frantic whispering about various scenarios and guesses about what would happen next, and Tyler continued that in HOH with Dani and several others, including a suggestion for a fake fight. David finally admitted to Kevin he had the Disruptor power, and he also told Da'Vonne. Cody, Enzo, Tyler sat around the dining table, aware that they were finally "thr3atened" - ha, get it? Da'Vonne met with Dani in HOH and told her Kevin had asked her before the comp if she'd use veto on him if she won, and said she didn't want to feel obligated to. Day ran her view of the various pairs and their plus ones to Dani, and said she was struggling about what to do. Da'Vonne told her she knows Christmas has a power but not what it does, so that could limit Dani's renom options. Dani said she doesn't see Memphis as a threat, and she couldn't put up Ian. They agreed to have each other's backs again, with a pinkyswear, and they'd check in later. Dani told Nicole that Da'Vonne was going to use her veto, but "please don't tell anyone, swear on everything." Dani asked Nicole why she'd told Tyler that Dani said [something convoluted about dropping off the HOH comp], and Nicole said she told Cody, not Tyler. Dani said she'd told Cody about it and he'd acted like he hadn't heard it before. Dani went to fetch Cody and Nicole got very flustered talking to herself/us, worried she'll be on her own if the Committee comes out. Dani returned without Cody, and told Nicole she'd sworn she wouldn't tell anyone but Da'Vonne told her she's sure Christmas got the other power. Dani said the only other person she could put up would be Ian, and she wouldn't do that. And she said she didn't want to screw over Da'Vonne and make her look stupid. They went back and forth with he said/she said rounds, and figured they could ask Da'Vonne not to use her veto, and they'd evict Tyler, which would also solve the problem of him being close to Christmas. Dani said if they do that, they'd have to make him feel safe until Julie read the votes (which would be pretty much impossible with this yappy cast). And Dani said the two times she's doubted Cody, it was because of Tyler. Christmas and Memphis had a long talk, with Christmas saying "[Da'Vonne] may make it political why she uses it, because she wants it to be a political stance of like - are you following me?" Memphis said "yeah, I got ya." Christmas then joined HOH and made a nuisance of herself, even though it was obvious Dani and Nicole weren't wanting to talk to her. But she stuck, and before long the Committee was all gathered. They didn't have much to discuss though, since most of them are double-dipping. Kevin pestered Da'Vonne some more about using her veto, and he told her David finally told him he had the Disruptor power, something Da'Vonne already knew but didn't let on. Dani and Nicole finally met up again to discuss options, and Dani said "the only one I worry about is Christmas, she'll murder me in my sleep." And Tyler talked some more about going home rather than to jury if evicted. They had another wall yeller so they were locked inside for the evening, but feeds didn't stay down long this time, so that's something. Only Enzo and Memphis were outside at the time. Veto show is Tuesday rather than Wednesday this week but there's been no indication the veto meeting will be earlier than usual, so if I miss any developments tonight, they'll have retells on Sunday - many, many retells. Update Feeds went to adoptable anipals at 11.16pm until 2am, with no indication that anything unusual happened. Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and/or the detailed feeds updates by @UgotBronx, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback! Day 40 - Sunday - September 13, 2020They weren't woken up early so veto meeting will likely be Monday as usual despite the earlier veto show. It's relatively quick and routine, and should be an easy edit turnaround, even if Christmas invokes her power - any fallout either way would be on Thursday's show anyway. Meanwhile Memphis got up late today, for him, around 9.30am, making me wonder if last night's late anipals were due to a booze delivery? That's just an unlikely guess since they were all begging so hard for it. If so, and feeds were blocked for that, that's some BB Canada crap we do not need here. When feeds did return last night, Dani and Cody seemed to be the only ones still up and it seemed like they had worked out her he said/she said problem with him. They also said Da'Vonne had decided to use her veto, and they talked about using Ian for the renom pawn. Recall Dani has said numerous times she would never do that so she may have just been placating Cody, but it is Big Brother. And apparently Cody told Nicole that Christmas told Tyler about a girls alliance. Kevin joined Memphis for quiet morning chat this morning about outside relationships and the fact that they don't have any. (Most of Memphis's teamies do though, and he's at the bottom of those totem poles.) Kevin talked about campaigning and how he didn't really know how to go about that with the people he's got no commonalities with. BB finally got the rest of them up around 11.30am. Nicole sat in the backyard sniffling and grumping, telling herself/us "This is terrible, getting rid of someone who's on your team is SO DUMB!" and "I'm not gonna be mean and brutal in this game, but I'm not gonna let Ian go home, there's got to be a solution. That makes no sense to me. Dani's HOH, they should never send home my best friend and ally in the house, it pisses me off!" and "No one wants to play the game at all, everyone wants to freaking go home! It's like go home! Give me the half million dollars, jeez lapeetz." Again, we don't yet know if Ian renom was decided or just proposed, and "jeez lapeetz" is just my guess at a translation for that one. (Update: jeezle-petes.) Dani and Nicole finally met and it turns out the plan is not yet set in stone - or it is, and Nicole just isn't aware of that. Dani said their goals are to try to get Da'Vonne not to use her veto, and work towards evicting Tyler, if that's what they decide they want. Nicole then told Cody she wouldn't vote Ian out, she'd make Dani break a tie, "but don't tell that." Nicole took her boot Tyler plan to Cody and they got a little snippy with each other. He said Enzo, Memphis, Christmas wouldn't want to evict Tyler, and Nicole said she could convince them, "I can do that in two hours." Cody then reported to Memphis, who said "if Dani wants us to vote Tyler out, she can go fuck herself." Meanwhile David and Da'Vonne had a long talk where they agreed they'd both realized Memphis was part of a big group or groups because he'd been "acting like a crazy fool" but nothing came of that from anyone else. Da'Vonne asked and he told her his power had a three-week window, so the others probably would too. David explained the ploys he'd used to get close to various hamsters, and told her she'd be targeted whether she used her veto or not. And they agreed it might be good if Da'Vonne didn't tell anyone ahead of time if she will or won't use her veto, and to play dumb with everyone except Kevin. As of now, that includes us as well, but Da'Vonne may fill us in later. Nicole and Tyler griped about us a bit, saying it usually isn't as bad out here as they think. Nicole said she wasn't here to please people this time (a good thing if she means that - eek), and Tyler said we spend three minutes a day to type out some nonsense, and then move on. Huh. Three minutes a day sounds good to me, maybe I'll try that! Dani told Nicole on a quick check-in "we're gonna work [Christmas] over and get her to do whatever the hell we want," and she requested bubble bath and wine from Diary to do that tonight. Dani added she doesn't care who goes between Kevin or Tyler, and she said if Kevin's not on the block, Tyler needs to go. Da'Vonne told Kevin if she uses her veto on him, they'll be seen as a pair, but she also said she's getting too many assurances that Kevin would be safe if she doesn't use it. Lockdown was called, repeatedly, around 6.20pm and feeds went to anipals. Hamsters assumed it was about yellers again, though I didn't hear any. More later, maybe?
