Day 44 - Thursday 8/1/19

Jack told Christie about Sam having turned his speech into a tell-all campaign against her, with Tommy and Analyse present, and told her several of the things Sam had been spreading. Christie seethed, sputtered, and called Sam a coward, among a number of other choice words. She denied and said it was all lies, and wanted to know why Sam didn't do this openly or call another house meeting. Jack said Sam didn't want drama before he left. Christie of course wasted no time and immediately started up "Sam's lying" loops to Holly and Analyse. Sam expressed his concerns to Nicole, and said he had nothing to lose and would "blow things up" if Christie started something, but he didn't want to jeopardize her or Nick. Jack told Jackson that he'd let Christie know what was going on before we went to Kittycam and they went to HOH lockdown for crew rehearsal.

If anything did happen during HOH lockdown it was blown over by the time they came back, as nobody mentioned anything. What to wear convos got underway, Sam got to packing, and Holly was annoyed to discover "someone" opened and ate most of her ice cream she said she'd wanted to share with everyone, and she wanted to know who. Holly didn't seem to suspect the guy who shared her room and snacks a lot, but later Jack told Christie and Analyse "it had to be fuckin Jackson." Christie told Cliff she "doesn't care" if true things were said, but she doesn't like "if things are added" to make her look like a sneaky person. Doubly ironic as she often "adds things" to retells, and Cliff was one of the ones who tattled about her yesterday. She and Sam had a hug where he said the requisite "it's just a game" line and said he loves her, and she said she loves him too.

The Jacks had yet another round of Jackson rattling off Christie's crimes and Jack not saying much in return. Jackson said he wasn't saying to break up the Six yet but just wanted Jack to be aware of the evidence and "keep your enemies close." Jack reported to Tommy that Jackson was "still trying to turn him," and he dropped that Jackson said Kat and Holly knew each other before the show. Christie's ex's nephew seemed shocked by that, and when Christie joined them, Tommy said "Kat, Holly, and Jackson know each other, it's a trio." Tommy pitched they could keep Sam tonight and bring in Nick to go against Jackson and friends. Christie wanted to know if the (hugely exagerated) pre-existing trio relationship came from "a reliable source" and she said Kat had told her she'd try to backdoor Jackson if she won HOH. Meanwhile Jackson asked Kat if she was working with Cliff, she said no, and they fist-bumped (no pinkyswear) on that three times. Kat wondered what was going on and Jackson told her nothing, she'd be safe tonight, he just had to ask to be sure.

Feeds went to kitties and puppies a little after 3pm, leaving us in the dark as to whether there would actually be a vote flip tonight or not.

Julie opened the show saying the last hour had been chaos and she implied production had no idea who would leave. Sam's speech was his revised one he'd rehearsed so many times, with the "Daddy's coming home" line he said he'd add if he knew he was. Kat changed hers to include talking about values her parents instilled in her and hoping they were proud of her, and saying she was passionate about women's empowerment, equal pay, etc. Despite all that, Sam was evicted 9-0. Julie confirmed to the remaining 11 they were in jury, and she teased Sunday's show for us with a little snippet of the pre-show drama. She also showed them their flash mob dance before the vote.

Julie opened the Field Trip vote and explained the three top vote-getters would have a competition where the winner would get immunity for the week, second place would get a punishment, and third place would go on the block as a third nominee. Voting is open at CBS site through August 9, with results announced on August 11 show. She also said next week would send the first juror (singular) to the jury house. She then sent them out to their HOH comp titled Camp Expo, where they had to study a series of camp advertisements for true/false questions, all of which will be on Sunday's show.

Feeds came back around 8.18pm and Jessica had won the comp. Jack, Holly, Tommy were heatedly discussing the day's and week's events in the archery room; Christie and Analyse were discussing them in the lounge (and later joined the others of the Six, minus Jackson; and Nicole and Kat were discussing them in the pantry. Cliff counseled Jessica to just enjoy her letter and pics tonight, and worry about the angst of what to do later, assuring her it would come. Christie shmoozed Jessica for awhile, surprising absolutely no one. Nicole said she was waiting for an announcement that Have-nots were over so she could have a PBJ sandwich.

Holly and Kat had a talk about Jackson and whatever happened before the show, with Kat saying "fuck him" and he'd told everyone everything Kat had told Holly in confidence. She also said as her friend, she couldn't let Holly stand by him and look bad because Jackson was "degrading to women" and "he's fucking aggressive." Holly got heated and said Kat shouldn't say things like that on TV. Kat pointed out that Jackson himself said he's aggressive yesterday (true, he did, multiple times). Holly said Kat had "no idea what he's dealing with" and Kat said "I'm not the one getting called in for things I've said, he is." Jackson himself was moping around, despite Holly attempting to peptalk him and rejoin the group, and he volunteered to be Have-not again. Jack was also moping, elsewhere, and said he couldn't go out and "put a fake face on right now." Jessica told Nicole both Jacks had to go, but that might not translate into noms: we'll see. Through it all, Christie and Tommy ran separate damage control and shmoozing rounds all over town.

Jessica got her room around 11.30pm with much more squealing and much louder shouting than usual. Everyone attending including both moping Jacks. She got a visor, sunglasses, Queen Greatest Hits, Queen socks, nail polish, soap her stepdaughter Sabrina made (ON HER DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY), owl incense beads from Pop, chicken seasoning, the usual conglomerate of cereal, candy, and snacks, and a lovely letter from hubby Steve. Jackson left early but the rest of them stayed to chat for quite awhile. After most dispersed, Nicole and Cliff stayed behind, Kat rejoined, and they all celebrated together. Jessica and Nicole enjoyed some food after their week on slop, having waited til midnight, unlike Jackson last week.

The four of them rehashed the events of the day, which was especially interesting as the leaked video had just hit out here (unfortunately it was since pulled). And they swore allegiance to their four, but said they shouldn't use the Cliff's Angels name especially after all the day's chaos about alliances. They shared some intel including Kat telling them about the HOH sex shower, Cliff telling them about Jack and Analyse always going at it in the archery room, Cliff telling them both Christie and Jackson had approached him to work with him, and Cliff telling them Tommy had said he didn't want to win any comps in the first half of the game. Jessica said she could put up Jack and Jackson and "if one comes off, put one of the other four up." Kat brought up Christie's power and Jessica said she'd told her she wouldn't use it unless Jessica wanted her to. They ran various scenarios, and decided to target Jack over Jackson, since Jackson was now on the outs with everyone and they figured they could work with him easier than Jack regardless, but they'd let everyone think Jackson was their target. They eventually decided on Analyse or Tommy as probably renom, if needed. Kat immediately started the faux anti-Jackson campaign to Jack and Tommy, but Kat's a wildcard and it remains to be seen if she'll stick with Cliff's Angels or go rogue again. Meanwhile Jackson made an angry/pouty bed in Camp Have-not and settled in there for the night.

Day 45 - Friday 8/2/19

Jessica discovered the shower sex stool, and Kat reminded her (again) that's why it was in there. Jessica was understandably annoyed and/or grossed out, and said it was broken, and evicted it from the former sex pit. Downstairs a rehash of yesterday's pre-show fights got underway, including Kat joking how she'd entered the lounge/arena by announcing she wasn't really Cliff's daughter (since so much of it was set off by paranoia about Holly/Kat/Jackson all knowing each other.) Jack was there for that rehash/retell, but wasn't his usual sociable self, and seemed like he was still mopey. Jackson remained alone in his Camp Have-not isolation bed, either asleep or feigning sleep when Holly tip-toed in to check on him. Holly announced she had a new "bite" - so much for her theory it was HOH bedbugs. Holly and Tommy had a long rehash/apology chat. Pre-noms meetings with Jessica got underway, starting with Nick, then Jack, then Christie, then Tommy (plus Christie staying behind awhile, then later joined by sobbing "I wanna go home" Analyse), then Analyse.

Kat met with Holly and told her she "used reverse psychology on them, and it worked," referring to Jessica, Cliff, Nicole last night, and adding that it shocked her it worked. She said she was going along with the plan to publicly say or imply they're targeting Jackson when really they're targeting Jack. And she asked Holly not to tell anyone, of course. HOH meetings carried on with Jackson up next. That was interrupted by Puppycam and it turned out they did noms earlier than usual (maybe to get that part into the can for Sunday's show so they could focus on the pre-show fight edit?) Jessica put up Jackson and Jack, as planned.

Kat sat down with Analyse, who was still feeling mopey, and to do some fishing. Analyse repeated she was homesick, and said she'd been present at every strategy meeting of the Six. Kat told her she wanted to keep Jackson, again going against the story she'd agreed on with her HOH group. Holly visited Jackson in his Camp Isolation Chamber and he said he already had a speech ready that will "blow shit up" and he ran it for her. He said he plans to say that Jack and Christie are exes and working together. As a made-up story, it isn't even as far-fetched as the truth that Christie's ex is Tommy's aunt, and Holly even asked if it was true. So it could be fun if and when Jackson (or Holly) put it out there. Jackson later ran his list of Jack crimes to Nick.

It was a very quiet evening, mostly filled with eating downstairs, plus Kat and Jessica rehashing yesterday's drama ad nauseum upstairs, especially about Kat and Holly knowing each other allegations, and bringing fishies whenever Kat and Holly's mutual friend Courtney was mentioned. (Courtney should have signed a release, she'd have had a whole lot of exposure by now.) Have-nots were assigned around 10pm last Friday but nothing today, and most of them went to bed before 11pm. Holly went to join Jackson in his Camp Have-not isolation bed, woke him up, crawled in, and said she didn't want to talk game, and then proceeded to talk game and retell all the retells. She also told him his whole "I have no emotions in here" shtick was BS, and that he's "like a freaking Sims character [in the game] - start acting like one!" They ran a few more rounds of course, between smacky loud slurpydurps. Meanwhile Tommy and Christie had a lengthy retell/check-in whisper session, as did Holly and Kat, and it finally came out they had met before in pageants. Kat and Nicole did a talk show with dancing while Jessica was in Diary - still no Have-nots.

Day 46 - Saturday 8/3/19

They drew their veto players: Kat, Nick, Tommy will play along with Jessica, Jack, Jackson. Whisperings and what-ifs kicked in about Christie's power, with Jack hoping Cliff would end up going up and out; Christie started spinning her loops of course; and small groups met everywhere to rehash the big Thursday fight and its various repercussions. Holly expressed her concern to Nicole that everyone turning on Jackson had in turn left her in a tricky spot. We aren't even halfway yet but many of them are spending much of their time horizontally when not eating, primping, or parannoying (© BB5 Diane), and body counts are happening all over the habitat. Kat rehashed again to Tommy, Jack, Analyse her concerns about things Jackson had said about her and the way he's talked to her, and said she hoped all that reflects poorly on him rather than her.

Feeds were down three hours and when they came back, Jessica had won the veto, making her the first this season to do so during her HOH week. Nicole hosted, the comp had a space theme, and their shirts said AREA 21 GALAXY CAMP. All competitors got prizes or tasks/repercussions: $5,000 for Nick, Hawaii trip for Kat, one week "BB explorer" for Tommy, 24 hours "alien doctor" for Jackson, and 24 hours "angry alien" for Jack. More on those to follow when they get underway. Nick was deathly ill from motion sickness afterwards as the comp involved spinning, then shooting a sling shot while dizzy into numbered spots or slots, with names of last year's hamsters involved. Tommy said he took a punishment and passed on the Hawaii trip so Kat could have it, as restitution for trying to flip the vote to evict her last week and her getting dragged into the big pre-show mess Thursday, but Kat later angrily told Holly and Jackson "how dumb does he think I am?!" about that.

Later Kat cried and ranted to Christie and Jessica about all the he said/she said that's been flying at her and around her, and her frustrations about all that creating and feeding stress and paranoia in her. She proceeded to drop a number of truths and lies to them, and Christie did some Jackson-bashing while he was bashing her to Holly in Camp Isolation. Cliff told Nicole and later Holly that he saw Kat come out of Camp Have-not upset and go into HOH. Holly told him she'd been in there with Kat, and said nothing was said that should have upset her. Jackson told Cliff he'd overheard Analyse, Tommy, Jack (ahem, he eavesdropped on them), and said they feel they've got Kat, and that Jack said he dreaded talking to Cliff but now he'd have to, to get his vote. Tommy and Christie couldn't figure out why Jessica was concerned about breaking a tie, as they couldn't figure out why there'd be a tie in the first place. Also, Nick did some rubbing on Tommy's crotch with his foot.

Jackson had a talk with Jessicia, with Kat and Holly present, and said he'd never lied to her. She said "are you SURE Michie? and she brought up the cookie dough fiasco. He explained that in great detail, finally admitting he'd eaten it, and she said "you're playing with fuckin words." There was a round of second-guessing Nick among the HOH group plus talk about possibly putting him up as renom, even after it was pointed out the vote tally would point out where he stood, depending if it's 4-4 or 5-3. Yes folks, it's only Saturday and they're already waffling on the votes. Nicole told Jessica that Jack, Christie, Tommy, Analyse are close and "there's something about the four of them." She pointed out how Christie laughs at Cliff and Jack bashes him, adding "we're better than that, there's no need for that" and "you're upset because he's in his 50s and he's schooling you? Frickin' win something and put his ass up and send him home! Oh wait, you tried that twice and it didn't work." She said if that keeps up she'll go off "and it'll be bad.

Tommy's BB Explorer debuted around 9pm. He had a white unitard/spacesuit with rocket fin skirt and conical helmet. For one week, whenever he gets a signal from mission control announcing speed of light, sound, or smell, he has to pick up the respective prop from the pantry, "travel at that speed" to every room in the house, and holler "I'M TRAVELING AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT" - or sound, or smell. He has to wear the suit and helmet all the time except to shower, but he can remove the helmet to sleep. Of course he loved it (limelight plus hollering) but they sent him on three or four tours right off the bat and he was winded by the time he finished those. For speed of light he had to velcro a blinking light cannister onto each wrist; for sound he had to carry around two little air horns and toot them with each holler (they sounded hilariously wimpy); and for smell he had to velcro cannisters onto each wrist with fans in them blowing out a stench "like dirty feet." The ladies had a nail party in HOH and the guys fended for themselves downstairs, guaranteeing there was someone on each feed you didn't want to listen to, no matter who you do or don't like.

Day 47 - Sunday 8/4/19

Allen the angry alien visited them at wakeup time, shouting at and harassing Jack, and throwing a lot of baby powder around, calling it "space dust." Jack had said he planned to act unaffected, and he told the rest of them he eventually just paused and posed for a squirt of baby powder while washing his face. Unfortunately it wasn't on feeds, as Rachel's yeller and Brett's granny weren't last year, which is probably due to contracts etc but it's a disappointment for us feedsters as it's something to break up the monotony of everlasting yack-yack-yack from this mostly non-entertaining bunch. Like last year, Allen will visit throughout the day, possibly again portrayed by actor/producer Chris DeJoseph. Meanwhile Tommy kept getting signals to run around hollering, at least once while he and everyone else were asleep.

Allen made another visit around noon and made quite a mess. Kat told Nicole she thought it was funny how Christie was getting more upset than Jack, Nicole said she'd be talking to and interacting with Allen if it was her punishment, and Jessica griped that it was a punishment for everybody due to the mess. Cliff swore to Kat he'll vote to evict Jack even if he's the only one, but he thought it was funny that he and Christie seemed to think they could get his vote by tossing him a few compliments. He also said it'll be interesting to see if Analyse sleeps with Jack tonight or not, in case Allen shows up overnight.

Cliff and Kat's convo continued and included a lot of Jack, Christie, Tommy bashing. Cliff also told her about the angry rants and threats Analyse makes about her, and Kat said she'd be happy to take her on if she does that to her face. Cliff said he expects Christie, Jack, Tommy will approach him after the veto meeting and threaten that he'll be next to go if he doesn't vote their way. He thanked Kat for letting him rant, as did she, and she said she'd been doing it for a couple days, and added she wanted to make some effort to be fun and friendly with Jessica because of that. Jack then met with Kat to ask if she "has any questions" about the pre-show fight the other day. She said she didn't like being drawn into it, or having been treated like a non-player, or how easily they were ready to flip the vote and evict her. She said she'll gather info from all sides to make an informed decision about this week's vote, and she added that she didn't like how the gossip was spread about her and Jackson. Jack admitted he'd told Christie, and said she told Tommy. Meanwhile Christie and Analyse whispered about how bad it would be for them if Jack goes, and Christie said she hoped "America" would give Tommy a power.

Jack had another visit from Allen around 3.30pm and afterwards he thanked the others "for participating." Kat, Nicole, Jessica met to compare notes about their various talks during the day, and were later joined by Cliff. Both Kat and Jessica reacted strongly to Nicole's report that Jack had told her "I told you you'd be safe" and "just value the time you have left in the house" back during Nick's HOH week, after he'd made his noms and before the angry mob met in HOH to scream about Nicole and bash her. Tommy was a good sport about his task but had trouble finding comfy laying/napping positions with his helmet. Christie told Tommy and Analyse they should "preach loyalty" to campaign for Jack. Jack in turn retold his convo with Kat to Christie. His account differed from Kat's of course, with much of each retell revolving around comments each had made about having their parents' approval, or not.

Holly teased Jackson about putting deodorant on his nether region while on feeds for everyone to know he did that. He laughed and said Jack and Analyse don't know he does it (they both borrow his deodorant). Allen visited again around 6pm and it sounded like he made Jack dump out, pick up, and count macaroni. Christie made a heavy duty pitch to Jessica on Jack's behalf, with many tears and snifflings. They were joined by Tommy and Nicole. Christie pushed more of an anti-Jackson than a pro-Jack agenda, including that nobody would vote for Jackson at the end if he gets there. Jessica agreed with a lot of what they said, but we now know she isn't always buying when she looks like she is. Jack eventually joined as well. Tommy got several more signals to do his rounds, and he did them good-naturedly and loudly. Nick put in some time with Jessica, as did Analyse with Cliff, and Christie kept believing Cliff was with them.

Tommy got called out of the shower to do a house tour, and he milked that one and the next for all they were worth, since they were during After Dark. Jack, Analyse, Nick all put in some socializing time in HOH, transparently, and Jack even did a face mask along with Holly, Jessica, and Nicole, while Cliff taught Kat backgammon, and Tommy later delivered fresh made cookies. At times it was as crowded up there as when the angry mob held their loud anti-Nicole meeting during Nick's HOH. Kat hurt her toe on the lounge boat frame. Jackson kept to himself pretty much (when he wasn't smacking with Holly) but various shmoozing in various combos kept going on without him. But to no avail: Jessica won't be using her veto, both Jacks will stay on the block, and Christie's power will expire unused. Most went to bed early, including Tommy, but BB got him up to do two more tours, which got several of the others up again too.

He was the first outsider to learn the Eight (and the Six) were things, and he seemed content to be their ninth (and seventh) rather than taking that info to the rest of the strays so they could organize and counter. He started strong, winning the first two vetos, but his luck went downhill after that. He planned a nominee speech outing Christie's shady dealings but he blabbed and it got back to Christie and the rest. But that then led to the huge fight before his eviction show that tore the Jacks apart and blew up the Six, so kudos for that. Never mind he could have used that mess to his advantage and maybe stayed. He was a DIARY SHOUTER, he had lots of goofy (sometimes inappropriate) stories, and he was liked by most, most of the time.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0

She seemed promising in her pre-season interviews but it turned out she hadn't really done the homework recruits should do, and she was quickly in over her head. She blabbed about most every convo she had, and she blew up alliances almost as soon as they were formed. But along the way she mixed and drank gross concoctions including hot dog water and mayo, she told some funny stories and some sad ones, and she and Nick fell in love (once she finally got him to stop lusting for Analyse).

Won: Revival to Camp Comeback Day 23
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

She was targeted by Jack and Jackson for no reason we know of, other than naming them as potential nominees in the first days. From then on they were obsessed with her, spreading that obsessive hate to their teamies, and it was so stupid it would have been comical if it weren't so ugly. She kept it classy despite all that, and it's good she had Nicole as a sounding board (and genuine friend) to vent her frustrations. I just wish she and Kat didn't hate each other as they would have made a superb comedy duo.

Won: Whacktivity 1 Nightmare (unused); Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0

He was a prime example of BB book smarts not necessarily equating to BB street smarts, and he didn't help himself any by being too loud and busy, nor by snitching on alliances to those same alliance members. Analyse accused him of being creepy with her but there was no evidence of that. He's done great things out here and will undoubtedly do more, so it was probably for the best that he got out of that snakepit sooner than later.

Won: First 2 weeks in sequester; Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

He got the rawest of BB deals, the first night boot, and then he was locked in a hotel room for two more weeks. He showed a quick and accurate read on everything when he re-entered the habitat and was probably the only one of the Comebackers with potential to do some real damage if he'd won the comp to re-enter the game, but it wasn't to be. His and Kat's flirtation was fun to watch. He could and should have been a contender but instead he got the boot twice, and without any noms or votes to evict.

Big Brother 21 SEASON FAQ
Day 1 Move-in was June 19
Day 7 CBS premiere was June 25
Day 8 Feeds began June 26
Day 99 Finale is September 25

Feeds are streamed by CBS, and Flashback is accessible via All Access subscription. Call 888-274-5343 for account help, including cancellation.

*Effective July 10* Air shows on CBS (Global in Canada) are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 9pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm.

Big Brother After Dark on Pop TV will be every night midnight to 3am (an hour later on Wednesdays and Thursdays). The aired blocks are live (or recorded earlier the same night, depending on your cable provider).

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) plays BB air shows and other CBS shows, as well as feeds, or you can use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

BB21 finalist prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and (probably still) $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others to be confirmed if/when they mention it on feeds.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
