They go from these words on national tv to a champagne toast to smooching in the drunken hot tub in a matter of minutes
After the show they sit around congratulating themselves for hours - rightly so I suppose, they are the Final 2 - but between them, they take credit for just about everything from evictions to competitions to the sun risingErika continues to hang on Boogie, apparently all the apologies to us about having been so dumb as to be played by the guys are forgotten or were phony, or something.. they drink champagne, then wine, then more wine, then beer
The next-to-last show opens with Will's little buddy left on his own:
Boogie: Brrrinnnggg? Brrrinnnggg? Brrrinnnggg???
The middle portion of the final HOH comp is a spectacular laser light show with a little silver roadster perched on topThe trivia portion is ridiculously easy - putting BB winners Eddie, Will, Lisa, Jun, Drew and Maggie in order - but it's physically demanding.. even Boogie said afterward that it was designed for males, that Janelle never stood a chance, and Erika wouldn't have either.. he ends up winning the car (saying it's for his momma - I hope she gets it) and the ticker tape
We visit paradise© (relocated near Palm Springs) for the most awaited arrival to the jury.. Will doesn't gloss it over this time and says he got spanked and that he's embarrassed.. they watch the event on the ugliest furniture imaginable
Back to the house we plunge from super hi-tech to super low, with kiddie desks and a cardboard divider.. Julie spells out the directions clearly for a change (when they're most obvious & unnecessary) and Boogie wins by one
Then the inevitable unfolds once again, with hugs all around and one last "Who's the prettiest?" twirl - it isn't the same, and Erika's standing right there - and then she's gone from the house and the feeds
Janelle
She exits with a smile, like they all do - all the drama & trauma is left behind every time
Not surprisingly, Janelle sparkles in Julie's boudoir and outshines its host, answering the questions honestly, acknowledging she made errors, and she doesn't make excuses
She's taken aback when Boogie refers to "Scrubika" and doesn't miss a beat with Erika's own farewell about getting back at the guys.. wait til Janelle finds out what happened after, that Erika fell right back into the grips of whatever desperation makes her keep going back to the guy who used her & admitted it to her, and continues to reject her
I think Janelle's far better off finishing third than getting first or second thru being duped.. she goes out with her dignity intact, having paid back the guy who orchestrated the ruse - even tho she clearly likes him - and more power to her for not answering Julie's question about that once again
So what's the deal with Janelle, why do so many people of all ages, genders and lifestyles find her so appealing? Game-wise she might not be the best strategizer or sneak, but there are worse things than being trusting
Nobody can deny she smokes the comps, and she isn't afraid to get dirty to do it
I think so many like her because she has so many facets: she does the glamor girl well and effortlessly.. she's like everyone's cool big sister and silly little sister at the same time.. she's the girl next door as well as the star on the screen, and I know for a fact that she's generous when she doesn't have to be
Mostly she's genuine, free-spirited and fun-loving, and fun to be around, with a spark and sparkle that can't be denied.. we got so caught up in the flirtations between her & Will that it's almost easy to forget her easy rapport with Kaysar, her true-blue bond with Howie, and her girly fun with Marcellas.. they're all so totally different, yet she has something special with each (or perhaps "had" in Marcellas' case)
She'd hoped to work with Nakomis and I'd hoped she'd team up with Diane, but neither was meant to be.. instead she was tossed around by her own teamie James and drafted by Will to eject all the ones she'd stayed loyal to..

The game itself is secondary for most of Janelle's fans though - many would rather watch her sleep than watch half the others do their thing.. she's why many of us watch reality tv: to meet and get to know someone we wouldn't otherwise have the chance to.. she remains the star whether she wins or not, and I wish her better than most
And we're left with this
Back in the house again, Boogie shouts a victory holla to nobodyEven before the show goes off the air, Erika's reclaiming what she thinks is hers, grasping Boogie and hanging on, and later straddling him as soon as the feeds return
She starts telling him that she knew she was in with him all along, and that she just told Janelle all that so she wouldn't think they're a team.. it makes no sense whatsoever, and it's an embarrassment to watch
They get very sippy and make out in the hot tub awhile.. as always, Erika keeps talking about them and Boogie keeps talking about the game.. she keeps kissing on him and he keeps turning away.. they don't think the feeds are on and he gets sloppy about changing.. later he makes up a little bed for two on the floor
They hit it early and fortunately both pass out quickly, with space between them, facing away from each other.. she gets up and Night Prowls later, like she does, eating a bunch and roaming the house & grounds, and asking BB for cigarettes
Et cetera
If Janelle wins the text-in AC vote and its $25,000 (which she's a shoo-in to do), she'll end up with more money than second place's $50,000 as I'm pretty sure 1st or 2nd get only the prize money and not the $30,000 sequester stipend
There's something on the CBS site about public voting for the winner in case of a tie, if someone can't fulfill their jury duty.. barring extreme illness, the only juror who'd walk and give up their paycheck is Will, and he won't do that with Boogie in the running.. it sounds like BS to me to generate interest - CBS knows the public's winners are all gone now
The only thing to look forward to until the finale (when third place Janelle will get more applause than the finalists, again - I hope she wears her tiara) will be the fallout after the jury questions Boogie & Erika, probably on Saturday.. they talked about it a bit tonight and both are expecting it to be fun & lightweight, with fluff questions.. they have no idea - it will be good feeds when those flames go away
I don't expect to post any more full episodes til the finale though, with a wrapup on the whole fiasco that was "All-Stars".. thanks as always for visiting and for your support, and my apologies for the site problems of late

NBC was first with an averaged 9.4/15 for football & pre-game show. There is no show Sunday. Finale airs live on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 8pm I told you Janelle wasn't going to the jury house and she confirmed it later on Housecalls.. I keep telling you 'trust me' (yea I know, Willboogie, Erika, James, Danielle, etc all said that too) All-stars still aren't top Googles  |

   It's difficult to be objective but I give them credit for (finally) starting to learn from their mistakes. This week's visit to paradise© spared us anymore skits to backfire on them and gave us simply posed greets for Will and predictable Q&A fodder. The laser show comp was dramatic looking even if it was a leftover from 'Fear Factor' and the car was a cute one. The edits & scripting were anti-F2 all the way between Boogie's nasty Diary remarks and crying over Will, and Julie making a point of letting Erika know their bedcapades had indeed been aired (not that it mattered to Erika in spite of her shock, since she couldn't get enough of the guy she claimed to hate once the show ended). Janelle went out classy as expected, and wasn't at all rude in her refusal to answer Julie's rude question about her 'true feelings' for Will again.. give it a rest, writers! It's none of your business, or ours. The biggest question from this ep is why did the tv show go to flames for a second? We expect that on the feeds but not on the live show.. and why did those flames come along just after Erika missed the question that gave Boogie the win, so we couldn't see her face to gauge if she answered wrong on purpose? Convenient timing is all I can say. A decent show I guess as evictions go, but its results left a bad taste in most fans' mouths. |
   EVICTED JANELLELet's tally it up: he's got $50k or $500k, a car, a trip to Aruba, a plasma tv, $10k, and a couple million dollars worth of free primetime network tv advertising. He's shown himself to be a misogynist, a coat-tailer, a very nasty drunk, and he's not above making out with someone he just called ugly and a ho on tv. What's not to like? |
  She went from 'I hate him' to smooching him in a matter of hours, and for the past few days she was telling Janelle - and us - how glad she was that they weren't going to end up being played by the guy on tv 'like Diane'. She begged Boogie to tell him if he'd said any bad things about her in Diary and believed him when he said no. Even if we'd never known about 'She is indeed a ho - I've used her up, that's all she was good for' she should have known better, having already figured it all out. I do not know what's wrong with this woman but I don't think it's something that $500,000 can fix. |
    First into the house but third place again.. but also a second year as viewers' favorite, America's Choice, most HOHs and most vetos - all in spite of most noms overall and having them all after her. She's still a breath of badly needed fresh air and never fails to keep most of us rooting for her even as she goes up against unbeatable odds. It was wonderful to watch her wear her tiara over & over, bought by 50¢ votes that failed to deliver the game advantage promised, but reminding us she's ever the prom queen, buxom blonde bombshell, and now two-time Hamsterwatch Star of the Season. |
   He owned them all from the start and was largely (if not solely) responsible for the first 10 evictions, as well as the 11th - his own. He was mostly fun to watch with a quick wit and more than a few good tv moments, tho his self- and Boogie-promotion got old fast as did his unbridled arrogance. His chemistry with Janelle was undeniably sparkly and fun to watch: even tho we knew it was a play, there was something that felt genuine about it too, but in the end she played him back and right out the door. |
   We only got the BB1 goony guy with his Thursday night get-ups but he had his share of colorful moments and championship belly flops. He won an important veto by shaving his head & going on perma-slop, making him the most suffering but least complaining of them all. He's a very decent guy and a good friend to them all (even Howie), and I wish him only good things. |
   She said she wanted redemption but she played it too hard too often, and got played right out the door. She spent a day in solitary, and 'got personal' and nasty a few times but she did herself in by trusting the most untrustworthy: James, Erika & Willboogie. Strategy & working behind backs are her fortes but this time she'll be remembered most for excessive ding-donging. |
   He ran a self-professed 'Janelle hate campaign' when she had his back, and called her a liar, traitor & worse on tv but he hooked up with Dani on Day 2. He promised to be more fun but wasn't much until the end, when he was great. He plays the game well but too hard and personal. The Dolly Wars will follow him but he'll be ok: it's just a little harm. |
   Love him or hate him, nobody can deny he's an individual. Two years running he's stayed truer to his partners than anyone while staying on good terms with everyone on all sides, in spite of behavior that would get most arrested. His act gets old and he drops trou a lot, but he's almost always upbeat and his heart is solid gold. We'd all be lucky to have a friend as loyal as Howie. |
   He had early alliances galore but blew them all off to mope & complain instead. Editing was far from kind and didn't even give us his best but it's his own doing (like most of his problems are). Hamsterwatch Most Photogenic award winner, especially since he started posing for renaissance paintings. |
   He said his heart wasn't in it this year and that he was saving his big moves for later: both fatal in the BB house, and not kicking out Will when he could was pivotal to the season. But he shaved his head for the game and stopped twisting his hair too. Good to see him again and overnighters especially will miss him. |
   Sadly, she didn't stand a chance this year. She came in defeated & involved in a feud, and lost all her partners. Mrs. Smith didn't give us the fireworks she's capable of but she's always an all-star in my book and I wish her well. |
   His alliances and behavior were all over the map this time and both got him kicked out. He went out the back door again but it wasn't intentional this time. So long, mirror-face. |
   Not the most charismatic and she didn't start playing in time, but each side kicked her out so the other couldn't have her. Kudos to her for having the guts to return. |
   She worked out and hid in a vase but the potential for catfights & dramatics left with her. She didn't live up to her skanky rep: good for her, bad for us. |
