	August 19, 2006 - Day 48 >> BB7 Park by TD >> to the future    >> to the past    >> daily index >> latest HamsterWatch episode    >> linkage >> Boogie is Head of Household - James & Janelle are nominated << >> Janelle won veto << The Coup has flown the coop Early risers Boogie & Danielle discuss stuff over coffee They say Janelle cried all night, but they don't trash her.. they get right into game stuff and Boogie says he can tell her about The Power now before the flames cut him off - watch the video They come back for a bit and Boogie says "what they did is they assigned people, video & audio, just to watch me and I slipped up" then flames again.. it's pretty obvious the Coup power has been deactivated thanks to a big mouth, but his own HOH was the last chance to use it anyway.. it's moot now, move on Third time back's a keeper and they count coup a bit more, then talk about noms and such.. both are subtle but Boogie's gone off James (talking about his transparent over-reactions) and Danielle off Erika.. both are ready to dispatch George - watch the video I check out then but apparently later on Janelle spills a lot of beans to George about who's been in bed with whom while he wasn't looking.. she didn't DOR.. the flames come & go and they hold nominations.. Danielle seems to be doing redecorating with George in the red room (redrum)     DOR = Discharge on Request = quit, leave, go home, no stipend, no 'Early Show', no nothing She's back   The flames come & go, come & go.. they did their ceremony and Janelle & James are nominated Janelle's wearing her America's Choice tiara and BABY MAKE IT NICE shirt.. and a smile George is doing arts & crafts again, this time he perches a teeny pin arrangement and/or cross atop Marcellas' sofa.. then Erika comes and sits on it     He's also made a new shirt à la BB5 Jase: ANYONE FOR A ALLIANCE? He fiddles with the tags and another pin arrangement, or something     A Diary-voice slips through the on/off flames and announces "the veto competition will be held tonight".. Danielle seems matronly and pleased - her morning choices stuck.. James talks to Janelle about a second nom in a week.. he sounds calm & nonchalant but he's got his nominated & going-for-the-veto face on.. Janelle does too as she studies the photo wall, like she does.. they all go down for naps - James is restless and gets up     It turns out Boogie's room theme is circus or clowns, hmmm.. he's got big giant clown shoes and a giraffe in there, along with pom poms.. Danielle does a cheerleading routine with them     Snippets from the day include a short message for us from Will, along with another Coke bottlecap contest number - watch the video I think Janelle really surprised him last night by biting back and their banter is taking on a new flavor, with almost a Hepburn-Tracy kind of potential   Janelle: When did you know you were the most handsome boy in America? Will: When I was three Will: When did you realize you were in love with me? Janelle: After the 100th time you told me I was Showdown They wait for the veto comp pumped up with adrenalin and ready to rock.. it's do-or-die for both Janelle & James and they know it Everyone will play but George who keeps saying it's "the most important veto of all time, the battle of the dominant Js" The latest seems to be that Will definitely wants Janelle to stay and James to go and Boogie seems okay with that.. they've got backup plans if James wins and takes himself off but whatever happens, it seems like the slop's getting ready to hit the fan as their various alliances are outed, and soon.. they're covering their bases with Danielle, and with James and Erika, but suspicion & paranoia is building with the tension Janelle's ready to go - she's got her comp gloves on and is studying hard in her green with ENVY shirt as they wait.. she stops to chat & joke with Erika, surprising her     Janelle finalizes the plan with Willboogie that one of them gets the win.. we'll see how it goes down, but she doesn't really have a choice now (and nothing more to lose) but to hope they'll back it up if she doesn't win and take her off the block, or vote to keep her.. she gives them each a hug and takes some candy for Danielle     Danielle's been meeting with her minions off & on all day, letting James talk his justification circles and talking up herself to him & Erika.. she runs right up to HOH after Janelle and says "I knew she was in here, she brought me Twizzlers" Willboogie doubletalk her like they do everyone, making it all sound good but Will makes her stuttery & speechless for a second by talking up Janelle's smarts & comp skills - watch the video     James pops up for a Red Bull to pump him up some more, then they're called to their places when darkness falls - maybe it's a special effects light show comp.. and the flames take them away The flames go away and Janelle's wearing the veto.. Will says James is "throwing a fit" She goes to change but puts the necklace back on.. her mom Ann read my Dear Hamsters pre-season requests to her over the phone before she went in.. one was to please wear the veto for awhile after coming in from the comp so we all know for sure who won.. she's done it twice now :) Janey, Janey, I want a Howie doll! Things seem pretty calm.. Will is giving anti-skin cancer advice to George & Janelle.. maybe Erika too - she's still hard to keep track of Danielle comes along and runs her fingers through Will's hair, saying he needs a haircut.. he jumps, saying he didn't know anyone was coming They say James is in Diary.. the flames come when we can hear him shouting from inside He finally comes out saying Janelle cheated, it wasn't fair, Diary doesn't have the right camera angle in their tapes to check it.. it's rigged.. he'll get a lawyer It seems there were questions about former hamsters and/or evictees, and there were dollies to represent them that they had to grab to answer.. James & Janelle had a tussle over a Howie dolly, then Janelle realized the (correct) Marcellas dolly was nearby, grabbed it and won He stomps around awhile, demands the shrink, corners Danielle and rants at her, then heads up a posse to HOH to talk it out with Willboogie.. among his wordage: "Show me the real tape!" "I'm safe - that's not the issue" "this fucking whore gets whatever she wants" and "this slop eating torture fuck" (the whole BB experience) Will & Janelle's plan seems to be on schedule - she's going to tell everyone she's out to get Willboogie, and they're going to do the same about her.. George will go up as a pawn (pond), James will be voted out, and the fun will really begin James finally goes to bed under his pillow It's best told in the videos.. some in parts as the flames keep coming: Janelle & Boogie check-in includes The Plan, and her side of the Dolly Wars Janelle & Will quick check-in James & Danielle after he comes out of Diary includes his side of the Dolly Wars James heads a posse up to HOH, part 1 met with The Plan in action - part 2 - part 3 Will & Janelle follow-up, part 1 He's glad she stayed, he imitates James' rant and they perfect The Plan - part 2 Is Will still playing Janelle? Maybe.. but he seems sincere when he tells her he's glad she stayed, and throughout their chats.. Janelle drops right to glum when Erika or Danielle come through and she says they're all out to get her and now James hates her too     Janelle haters are probably now saying her tears yesterday were all an act.. that's their problem George makes his rounds through the dicey territory in black chef hat, giving Danielle a hug and taking a shift listening to James.. then he talks with Janelle for a long time saying how proud of her he is, how good she did, how far she'll go and that he'll help her all he can.. it's a light & easy convo between these two, and very friendly     An earlier George/Janelle convo is out of sequence below, with video Later when the dust settles George joins Janelle outside and they chat some more.. Will joins and they start sharing stories - it's a real good time, with George learning about the Tuesday Night Waffle Alliance meetings, the fights & arguments, and how some of the noms & votes flopped around.. Will says he's hearing it all for the first time too, and maybe some of it he is Janelle tells them about the fight between Kaysar, James & Marcellas (which they're stunned to hear but love it).. I happen to be recording in quad, one camera's on James who's asleep, kinda.. towards the end of the story he turns & glares at the camera and flips us off - watch the video.. Janelle makes a go-away gesture and says "they're sleeping" immediately after.. it's kinda spooky     George [about everyone always asking for his vote, and why he made his shirt]: Okay, I'm supposed to be in an alliance, but I don't get to go to the meetings? Janelle: Why cant we ever sleep? Everyone's in pajamas yelling in the backyard Will: So who would come to these meetings? Janelle: Everyone but you guys .... Will [about Howie/Boogie eviction fight]: That was the silliest thing I ever heard Janelle: I wish it would have been live .... James [after flipping us off]: Fucking idiot show Will stays up late with Janelle and they chat about The Plan, about James & his reaction to losing, a bit about their lives, and a bit of studying What BB7 is missing Postscript is out of sequence tonight due to the Dolly Wars, and cuz it's something different and kinda special When the adrenalin was pumping thru the house before the comp, Janelle & George chatted for awhile in the kitchen.. he admired her competition gloves and said she's a bad-ass competitor as is James.. they talked about their home towns - both came from small towns in the midwest They talked about 4th of July's and summer vacations.. High-speed double eviction week #1 is almost done and we're back to our regular schedule, for now. I think the flames music has been turned down, yay! I have to give them props for packing a bunch into Thursday's show, many of them true (and rare) surprises, even after nearly half the show went to review. Prom night was silly but I'm glad they spared the really nasty questions, and it's always fun to watch Julie scold them for admiring their pricey set dressings. They've revised the script: now Janelle's been HOH three times instead of the former four or accurate 3½, and the Coup d'Etat was again 'a common phrase' with 'applies to BB game' just tacked on as a footnote once. Both Janelle's & Danielle's moms added some much-needed class & perspective to what's usually treated as life or death matters in the house, and Julie tried to temper Marcellas' nasty attitude by joking about his last eviction when she thwapped him. Unfortunately not much can temper that man's bad attitude but at least she cut him off in mid-whine about being sent to Tijuana. We'll probably never know what Janelle earned as far as an HOH comp advantage for being named Prom Queen so all that was just a lot of 50¢ into CBS's pockets, plus a packet of comp Q&As they didn't have to pay the writers for. HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD Lost his Coup I'm looking forward to seeing the blowup with Howie and I hope we do. Boogie may earn retroactive ups if it's a good show, and if they show it to us, but tonight he mostly hid out during the fireworks. He did jump up & down with Janelle when The Plan went according to plan but I'm not sure I trust him to stick to it.. after all, he has those early morning coffee klatches with Danielle every day. No comment on blowing his Coup - it turned out to be useless anyway. Easy ups for being rendered speechless as Will went to work talking up Janelle's skills: it was a rare moment and one we may never see again. She also sat mute for the most part while James harangued at her about the Dolly Wars but that was just a matter of her reaping some of what she's sown so liberally on him for awhile now, and on us. Show of hands: who's surprised that the one night she doesn't pop up everywhere outta the blue is when the shouting & stomping happens? She did join the Posse to HOH and said "we need a house meeting" but she hasn't been heard from since. Okay, his laugh is a bit much but it's damn good to hear some laughter in there again regardless. He climbed on board the Janelle powertrain in a big way tonight and it's not surprising. He may not be the most astute strategist in the house but he's no dummy and he's got more common sense than the rest of them. He knows enough not to join in with condescending, scolding, lecturing shit-talkers trying to strong-arm him to be on their side - he likes the nicer people in there. Granted, kicking Howie wasn't my personal choice but he said going in he was going to play, and he has every right to be proud of having taken out a strong force in the game (if not necessarily a strong player). I'm pretty sure Howie will forgive & even respect him for it eventually too. NOMINATED I don't want to come down too hard on him after being so compassionate about Janelle's pain yesterday.. this is after all the way he deals with his. But it was an amazing hissy fit as BB hissy fits go and that's part of why we watch. And I'm sorry, but he is the sorest loser since Cappy & Ivette. Earlier today he said he just wanted to get out of there and go to sequester, and it looks like that wish may come true. He also said (again) how rotten it was that Janelle went and cozied up with Chilltown, so his response was to do the same. Hello? He's only said 'it's not a team sport' a zillion times.. he just can't seem to face that he isn't a team player when it's team season. James could have been the best player the game ever saw but he's too much of a hot-head and a bad liar to reach that goal. A good dose of self-awareness would do him a world of good, and he needs to learn to take credit for all of his actions - not just the good stuff. I have to give him props for describing the whole thing as a 'slop eating torture fuck' but getting evicted because a girl took his dolly is something he may never come to terms with. NOMINATED HOLDS VETO The comeback kid does it again and in a big way. Tonight's victory was likely sweeter since it followed such sadness, and it's been a hell of a rollercoaster ride for the last couple of days for her and for us. When James was stomping around that she took his dolly her mom posted 'That's how she was growing up too' - you gotta love it. Janelle doesn't even seem to think it's odd that James is so angry with her that he won't even sleep in the same room - she's used to it after all, and so are we by now. But Will just couldn't fathom James' reactions and that reminds us that yep, it's bizarre behavior for an adult who's claimed to be her friend and that 'it's only a game'. Will & Janelle are proving to be a very formidable & enjoyable team and I can only hope that The Plan works and they pull it off. He says he's willing to go to sequester, take all the blame, and turn heads in there for Janelle to get the votes if she's in finals. Maybe that's a bit of the evil doctor's shmoozing at work (ya think?) but I bet if neither he nor Boogie stick and Janelle does that he'll live up to it. He loved hearing the stories about the late night waffling that kept us all annoyed & perplexed and it was funny to hear his reactions. He can be a load of fun and I hope he stays in there longer, or all the way to the end.. he & Janelle would make for the best final days of feeds. He still owns them all (at least for a few more days) and now he owns James just a little bit more.. but it's still the girl who took his dolly. Love him or hate him, nobody can deny he's an individual. Two years running he's stayed truer to his partners than anyone while staying on good terms with everyone on all sides, in spite of behavior that would get most arrested. His act gets old and he drops trou a lot, but he's almost always upbeat and his heart is solid gold. We'd all be lucky to have a friend as loyal as Howie. He had early alliances galore but blew them all off to mope & complain instead. Editing was far from kind and didn't even give us his best but it's his own doing (like most of his problems are). Hamsterwatch Most Photogenic award winner, especially since he started posing for renaissance paintings. He said his heart wasn't in it this year and that he was saving his big moves for later: both fatal in the BB house, and not kicking out Will when he could was pivotal to the season. But he shaved his head for the game and stopped twisting his hair too. Good to see him again and overnighters especially will miss him. Sadly, she didn't stand a chance this year. She came in defeated & involved in a feud, and lost all her partners. Mrs. Smith didn't give us the fireworks she's capable of but she's always an all-star in my book and I wish her well. His alliances and behavior were all over the map this time and both got him kicked out. He went out the back door again but it wasn't intentional this time. So long, mirror-face. Not the most charismatic and she didn't start playing in time, but each side kicked her out so the other couldn't have her. Kudos to her for having the guts to return. She worked out and hid in a vase but the potential for catfights & dramatics left with her. She didn't live up to her skanky rep: good for her, bad for us.
