February 16, 2008 - Day 9

 Amanda's been incredibly busy telling and re-telling her tale about last night.. the story seems to escalate a bit each time she tells it: Alex's alleged feel-copping is practically attempted rape now
I don't know if it happened or not (the rest of the convo went down more or less as she's telling it) but it doesn't really matter now: it's become fact
The good news is that it looks like Amanda's gossip, tale-telling and general busybodying will provide us with some good fireworks as things get around and eventually back to whoever they're about
She also keeps repeating that Alex told her she shouldn't wear her short-shorts.. I think most who watched Thursday's show would agree they are just a little too short
Sheila talked a lot about dating Scott Baio and about being on his show, saying it wasn't scripted at all (which surprised her).. she also said she'd like to have Dr. Will botox her forehead and tighten up her neck.. she was surprised to hear he's on "Dr. 90210" now but didn't believe he'd fixed up Boogie's genital warts on the show
Matt, Alex & Parker worked out awhile, with Adam watching, making me want to start calling them the 3½ Horsemen.. Natalie pestered Adam a bit before his nap.. he reassured her that he wasn't avoiding her and then gave us a big grin and thumbs-up as she left
The Natalie Show
 Saturday night, and with Showtime comes booze delivery
They seemed happy to get it, but it was an oddly sedate group all around.. Allison, our former fun drunk girl, went into a funk and holed up with Sheila who told her stories about bank-robber dads and orphanages and Penthouse mansions.. I don't think it made Allison feel any better - it seemed to make her head spin
  
Then Natalie started up her stripper demonstration, to the apparent delight of none.. Amanda & Parker's faces above kind of sum up the crowd response
  
Joshuah joined in on the stairs to help, and assisted with a lap dance demo.. it turns out he's a former stripper too
  
Alex went and got a pole from somewhere (I know, go figure) and held it for her while she did the next part of her act
  
Suds 'n skin for Showtime
 I think they got in trouble in the past for adding bubbles to the hot tub, didn't they? Not this year.. this year they have Natalie in there
Joshuah created and/or discovered them, and made all kinds of shampoo horns and assorted other headwear, but it wasn't all that fun
Chelsia tried to get things going too, but the party didn't really kick off til Natalie arrived
  
She had her fun (and a lot of viewers likely did too), but actually the party didn't really kick off even when she stripped down.. there was a quiet, almost somber quality to it all.. considering
  
Well, The Powers That Be got what they wanted anyway, again.. this all fell neatly into Showtime times and will likely become an indelible part of Best of BB clipdowns forever
Stoopid human tricks
 Not to be outdone, James decided to show off his talents
After very little urging, he too stripped down and then did a little shimmy-shake kinda thing, that ended with a neat, hands-free junk tuck
The crowd went wild
 This turned out to be a full episode today, and I hope they don't make me make a habit of it.. Natalie's undercovers action has gotten xx2000xx and TheRealDeal2006 suspended from YouTube as well as yours truly.. I think the three of us supplied the majority of BB videos there, and have done for several years.. Aldav (who YouTube cancelled last year) always highlighted whatever highlights we'd caught, along with the other BB 'tubers.. we're all reposting again but I'm sure many of our thousands of subscribers who don't follow the various sites are wondering what happened - maybe some will start signing up for the feeds now

Dear Allison, Rich, Robyn and friends,
Another season and another set of 'twists' out the window before they even get off the ground. I know you guys check the sites, at least sometimes, and I know you've seen the utter lack of enthusiasm among otherwise diehard BB fans about this season's cockamamie setup and the mostly adolescent cast. I also know that ratings are your be-all and end-all and that we feedsters don't mean squat, but we are the pulse of your viewers so give us a listen for a change. Try something fresh this summer, please: regular people, true diversity in the cast, and no freaking twists! If you want sex in there - and you obviously do - put in real couples and don't sabotage them: it's simple. Genuine human behavior is the best bet for interesting dynamics any day of the week, and ordinary people are the true wackos.. the ones who seem like they'll be wild 'n wacky are usually dull dull dull once the novelty wears off.
Also, it's time to put in some new trivia or dump it entirely in favor of something else like say, the Hamstercam! And the music is still WAY TOO LOUD when you block us out of the feeds.

Amanda's spreading stories about him like wildfire, and I wasn't sure how much of it he was aware of but she cleared that up tonight when she walked in on him & Natalie talking, then ran to tell everyone else. That was followed by a big fight in which he said he was over her. He grew up a fat kid, which could explain why he comes across as seeming so arrogant now. He mostly sat back and watched Natalie's shenanigans, but he held her pole during the supper show.

She doesn't seem happy unless she's the center of attention, but she always hangs back while one of the other girls grabs the spotlight, giving her lots of opportunity to be a misery. Our fun drunk girl might be history but she does seem to enjoy putting people down. She & Sheila talk a lot of trash about Jen, Natalie & Amanda, but Sheila covers other subjects too. Allison's contributions of the day included asking Ryan to stick up for her if somebody's trashing her (or so she reported), and repeated remarks about having been homecoming queen.

She can stir it up like nobody's business (and it usually is everyone's but hers). She might have told the Alex molesting her story a few too many times for her own good, and most everyone has had it with her. She said today that her dad had done lot of drugs & alcohol and was involved in her life, but in an in/out sort of way, and we already know she's touchy about suicide comments. This girl seems to have issues galore, and you can bet CBS will exploit every one of them they can get hold of.

She's coming out a bit more and loosening up with the kids, and she's proving herself to be bright as well. She's also afraid of being thought of as fat.

I'm not seeing the hero role for him that many are, but we haven't seen something like his dancing junk-tuck on the feeds since Cowboy's hat trick so he gets a free pass to ups today. I don't think he's as bright as his partner.. in fact, he wins the Line of the Day award with this gem, said during a group strategy session: 'I just want to play pool and sleep and hang out.' I think he's said he used to be a stripper too.

She's gone from being everyone's wicked witch to being the generic girlfriend. Most of them still hate her, but I have a feeling she'll stick after all. It'll be fun to watch her implode if Ryan gets the boot, if only because she brought it on herself by blabbing.

In a repetitive blunder of blunders, he let fly some very easy lies today in front of his allies, and for absolutely no reason. He was talking about which of them he'd seen during pre-season shuttling around, and BB announced 'Joshuah, stop that!' He wondered what he should say when asked about that (why?), then proceeded to say when asked that he'd been playing with his mic. That evolved into tossing his mic when asked the 3rd or 4th time. Utterly pointless, and it just showed his teamies how easily he lies - if they were paying attention. He let out today that he used to be a stripper, just like Natalie.

He's still hitting on anything female, including one of the production assistants before the show (according to him), but all his macho bravado may be covering up a whole lot of stuff.. it usually is. As soon as Natalie finished her oral service tonight, he pulled away from her and trotted out to tell his boys Alex & Parker all about it including 'I didn't even have to kiss her.' Earlier today he said his dad had been on heroin, which tends to make for a not so normal, healthy or happy childhood.

She's turning out to be the party girl the producers always wanted.. in fact, she's their wet dream. Where to start? She definitely hogs the spotlight (making some of the other girls seem uncomfortable, to say the least) and she definitely flaunts what she's got and what she's bought.. err, what an ex bought for her. Unfortunately for her, it's mostly lost on these guys. When she suggested showing off her stripper moves, her crushee Matt said 'I don't have to see that' and the other (straight) guys didn't seem very interested either. That didn't stop her from doing Matt's doo-dah again at bedtime though.

He seems to be biding his time and has been rather dull lately, but he's got a lot of potential: he's proven himself to have a quick temper, and he kinda likes shit-stirrer Amanda.. that'll come back to bite him. Issues-wise, he said he thinks kids need two parents and can't understand how dads can walk out on their kids. (He was raised by a single mom.) Blame him for bringing out the requisite Big Brother mandana.. somebody always does and it's usually contagious.

She tends to get really wound up about whatever she's talking about but she knows what's going on. She sees the various dynamics at work and she knows they're all about to hit the fan. She & Joshuah are about the only ones happy with their partners at this point.. she could go far. I don't have much info on what's made her who she is, but it'll come out sooner or later - it always does.

She's a talker and she can go on for days, including trashtalk, but she's got stories galore and could easily beat any of them if they ever have a past experiences comp. Today she said her dad robbed a bank and went to prison, mom put her in an orphanage, and didn't get her out til she found someone else to marry. (She also said she's dreading slop due to memories of orphanage oatmeal/Cream of Wheat.) She went on to talk a bit about her Penthouse days, dating celebs and her issues with men in general. Unlike the rest of them, and against typical hamster traits, she seems to be very self-aware of her issues and that's always a good sign.
