Day 21 - Wednesday 7/8

Beefcakes

Steve gave a lengthy soliloquy to us this morning about his strategy and himself, proving he's way more aware of everything going on than the others realize, including the fact that he's on their various hit lists - Flashback 7/8 5.29am.. several hours later they were all locked in for the crew of "beefcakes" as our hamsters call them to start clearing out the yard to set up for tomorrow's HOH comp, and they were caught on feeds doing so, again

Things started revving up again when word got around that Audrey had been meddling and stirring things up again.. Clay and Shelli decided that Jeff and John were also sketchy.. Da'Vonne got wind of Audrey getting around and confronted her again, referring to their "it's not personal" chat and hug last night

That confrontation had a group of eavesdroppers again.. Da'Vonne acknowledged them midway, telling them they can all listen and "Austin, you can come back in here, boo".. James added to the comedy by first crawling the hallway floor and then "hiding" with a box over his head - can't make it up stuff.. your Flashbacks are 7/8 3.15am for the late night talk & hug it out and 7/8 1.47pm for the followup aftermath

They got a practice apparatus for tomorrow's HOH comp.. it's a "crapshoot" comp with the rolly-ball ramp, requiring them to launch the ball into barrels.. today's barrels will likely change to points or knockout faces tomorrow

Audrey later approached Da'Vonne to say she'd like her to stay, and offered her vote to Day with an offer to work together in future.. Da'Vonne said Jason needed to be included as well, and they shook on it, with arrangements to check later to see if Da'Vonne could round up enough votes.. maybe Audrey was just trying to find out who had the null power, but I'm hoping we can somehow keep them both

Jeff announced the talk show had a PR problem about offending women, and said they'll do a new show tonight in a "last ditch effort to apologize to the community of women".. Jeff and James then arranged the new sponsor products: tampons, panty liners, jewelry and cosmetics.. Becky and Shelli took over hosting duties and ran it as a dating show.. it was pretty bland and dull, but the guys behaved for a change, for the most part

Have-nots and all of them feasted at midnight, and psst-pssting about votes carried on into the night

The ultimate psst came at 2.09am (on 7/9) when Lizia admitted to Vanessa that she's twins, and she's Julia.. Vanessa filled her in about all the clues that have been noticed, and Julia was clearly relieved to finally get it out in the open.. she said they were supposed to switch today (Wednesday) which was interesting - maybe most everyone knowing about them delayed that.. Julia & Vanessa proceeded to exchange notes, count votes, and plan future alliances

Day 20 - Tuesday 7/7

Selfieville

The camera came out and they did their selfies, fake poses, and duckfaces.. I know a lot of folks like the HOH pics, but I think of this weekly exercise as the feeds version of Diary voices and/or practice for the post-season.. Shelli orchestrated most of them, including this piggyback - the whale's side-eye said it all for many of us

The buzz about Lizia continued to buzz: John and Vanessa were each filled in about switching twins, but not to the degree that had been covered last night, and neither seemed overly interested.. but most of the buzz was delayed until the twinquisition© at tonight's talk show, which they do after After Dark - they're planning to put her on the interview seat tonight and grill her about all the inconsistencies, either directly or indirectly - either way it should be a good time

Audrey gave Clay the idea that he's getting the villain edit, saying she picked that up because of the questions Diary asks her.. whether that's true or not is irrelevant, since Clay and Shelli believed it - especially the part about Clay running Shelli's HOH.. discussing it later, Clay told Shelli that Audrey had called him Hitler, and used "the Hitler signal".. Shelli blew up at that and Clay then back-pedalled a lot, saying "it was subtle" - Flashback 7/7 3.23pm.. Austin and Steve did some dissing of each other here and there - I don't know if that was a plan they cooked up together or not

0

Twinquisition

They and we waited impatiently for the talk show to begin, but first Da'Vonne told Lizia that "the house" was on to them switching and she was going to be questioned.. the fact that Da'Vonne was waving a table knife around during this convo added to the surrealness.. in return, Lizia promised their vote to Da'Vonne and said she could get Austin's, leading Da'Vonne to believe she had five (but some have been fibbing to her)

The show finally kicked off at 11.03pm with a sputter rather than a bang, with the now-usual Q&A about dating habits and the like for Becky who went first, and then Liz was up

Ordinary (for this group) questions were asked and Lizia answered them.. some in the crowd listened carefully, especially Da'Vonne, and others busted up laughing, especially Jason & Meg, and a few didn't realize anything was unusual.. James roamed around like Biff Henderson the whole time, complete with tinfoil headphones

Lizia handled it well but a few key questions were a bust for those aware of them - banana pancakes and a bad date story - but nobody let on directly.. Audrey was the next interviewee, and when she said she didn't like liars or people who are passive-aggressive, Da'Vonne cracked up completely in the kitchen.. it was all something of a let-down, and then Jeff and James took everything to horrible new ultra-cringey lows

Afterwards, Da'Vonne asked Steve to play pool but he said he didn't think he should be seen alone with her, for fear others would think they were talking game.. that set her off in anger and then tears, saying she'd only wanted to play pool and she didn't understand all the shunning.. Jason got on board with that and started trashtalking some of them, like he does.. Steve apologized to Da'Vonne but it was too late - the damage was done, and his social game slipped a few more notches

Around that same time, Meg confronted Jeff plus James and/or Austin about disrespecting women all the time, but unfortunately that wasn't on the feeds and we didn't get the chance to cheer.. that caused Jeff to ask around if he's been acting badly, pretty much proving that he has no self-awareness there at all.. Steve told Becky about switching twins, leaving only Austin and Audrey in the dark (unless either or both knows and just haven't said anything)

Day 19 - Monday 7/6

It is done

John used his veto on himself obviously, and Shelli put up Meg in his place as planned.. Meg took it as well as expected, although she retired to her dental chair right after the meeting.. Da'Vonne was clearly not pleased, since she was hoping to go up against Audrey and have a fighting chance to stay.. they didn't know yet that with three votes nullified, it'll only take five to evict this week - hopefully that doesn't mean Day won't put up a fight, since she actually might have a chance, considering

Julia switched back in for Liz just after 3pm, and Da'Vonne did a double-take when she came out of Diary.. she proceeded to take her "they're twins" theory to Jason, again (she's been saying it since June 26).. Jason wrote her off at first, saying "conspiracy theories" to James, but then he started listening to her observations and mounting evidence.. later they took it to others including Meg, and James again.. nobody out here knows what happens if the twins are outted but it looks like we might find out

They got their phone calls from Kathy Griffin, drawing numbers and taking turns at a temporary phone booth.. the calls were insults but they didn't sound very inspired or applicable even, things like Shelli needs a new wardrobe, bloated is not the new sexy for Austin, "less carp" (or perhaps carbs) for Steve, All-stars is not calling Audrey, Lizia needs a breath mint, Jackie needs deodorant, Jeff talks too much, John's tanning too much, Jason's annoying, Da'Vonne has anxiety, and Vanessa sucks at comps - but she's only played in one

They knew one of them gets to nullify three votes on Thursday, but they don't know who.. Shelli and Vanessa figured out who had which number, and it turned out Da'Vonne drew lucky number 7

Steve reiterated his non-love for this site, and James said "Hamsterwatch sounds like a porno site" - I'm not sure if that's good cred or bad cred, but I guess it's just a matter of "it is what it is"

Talk show got real

They moved the midnight talk show inside due to the chill, and once again it provided some interesting insights to us (and to those of them who pay attention to such things).. tonight's highlights included Austin agreeing to wear a shirt the rest of the week; Jeff & Jackie telling the others about haters out here and that the 16 (17) of them will share a bond after this; Jackie hasn't stripped but was featured in Bite, a topless Vegas vampire show; Johnny surprised them by saying his Airtap video has 10k views (16k now); and Shelli was visibly perturbed by hearing about a Clay and Becky photobooth kiss

Da'Vonne stole the show by talking and getting emotional about her absentee dad, her intimacy issues, and her guy "Pooter".. she got choked up, cried some real tears, and demonstrated an eloquence and depth of self-awareness we rarely see in hamsters.. she also told girls who grew up without a father figure: "take note, don't try to fill that void with men" - sage advice

Day told Jason that she's got the null power, and everyone was thinking about it in general, leading to vote counts here and there into the wee hours.. apparently After Dark ran an info scroll saying Jason had figured out the twin twist and was telling everyone about it - if he gets the credit on CBS for Da'Vonne's observation skills, we riot

One more tidbit from Da'Vonne: she told Jason that a week or so ago, Diary repeatedly asked her if it was "an option" for her to join forces with Vanessa.. she said it was "continuous" (and in hindsight, it sounded like she wished she had)

Late late night brought Da'Vonne and Jason exchanging more twins notes, and Jason sharing it with James and Meg again, and then telling Jeff and Jackie.. Jeff told Shelli and Clay, and Steve was also brought in on it.. most were skeptical until they heard all the evidence and started piecing it together, and it was hilarious.. they said they'd put Lizia on the hot seat at tomorrow's talk show - things should be interesting until then, to say the least

HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD

Won: Nothing
He was like a parody of all the former surf boys we've had, with all the worst qualities of asshat hamsters past rolled into one. He verbally beat up on Steve a few times but the primetime version earned him viewer loathing, even if his actoring was lousy. He ranted, streaked, flipped us off, and mostly talked about himself, but he promised to save us all someday through music.

Big Brother 17 FAQ
June 18 was Day 1 move-in. June 24 was CBS premiere, Day 7. Finale will be September 23, Day 98

Feeds are streamed by CBS, and accessible via All Access subscription. Call 888-274-5343 for account help, including cancellation.

CBS shows are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 8pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm (Global in Canada).

Big Brother After Dark is on POP (formerly TVGN). It begins Thursday, June 25 midnight-3am. After that the regular schedule is Monday, Tuesday 11pm-2am; Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday midnight-2am; Thursday 1am-3am.

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) will play BB air shows and other CBS shows, but not feeds. Use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

Liz and Julia have to survive five evictions in order to play separately as individuals. They switch places every few days. They have a limited time in Diary to change clothes, adjust their appearance, and exchange info. The non-playing twin probably stays in hotel sequester.

BB17 prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others is probably $1,000 per week again, including pre-show hotel and jury sequester. Austin, Vanessa, Jeff, Jackie might get more.

The habitat has 80 HD cameras (up four) and over 100 microphones.

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman.
