Maybe Jonny Fairplay isn't the right person to illustrate that question.. we all know this is a network television show and network television isn't known for ethics, but what goes on behind the scenes of the Big Brother interwebs would make your head spin I was a little stunned to discover the other day that the owner of one BB site is actually credited as a production assistant on two seasons of Big Brother.. this is one of the sites that has early scoops - not rumors, but real info that turns out to be accurate, which means they are being fed these early leak tidbits by BB production - but they take great pains to hush up that part of it While that's all well and good for building buzz & interest and so forth, it also means some folks will go ahead and sign up for their feeds while checking out the dish on those sites, taking money out of the pockets of the rest of us who have to work for our BB information I've always been the redhaired stepchild of Big Brother sites and I'll never get any kind of scoop from production - maybe they don't like how I always poke at them and their goofs - but it's just not right that they feed information to selected sites that masquerade as ordinary fansites like the rest of us, when they're not.. maybe they're even on the payroll Feed signups help support the site you get them through Please get yours from a site you use & enjoy Media Day is June 30 That's when the big press announcements about Big Brother 12 hit, including reports from the 11 journalists who spend the day in the habitat.. they do practice comps, ceremonies, Diaries, etc so the tech crew can iron out the kinks, set up camera angles and so forth, and of course BB benefits from the stories they post I don't know for sure, but I suspect it happened yesterday, June 18, and I'm making an educated guess that Matt Whitfield of Yahoo! Julie Chen will be back and Showtime will be back.. unfortunately Ross Mathews won't be back (at least not in an official capacity) but SuperPass promises more content, interviews and webshows, featuring BB6/7 Janelle Pierzina CBS shows will run at 8pm Sundays, Wednesdays, and live on Thursdays.. the first live eviction will be July 15, and that's when things really start to heat up Alumni news & mugshots keep coming Three former hamsters are facing a lot more than the usual 15 minutes of notoriety.. BB9 winner Adam Jasinski was busted last fall for trying to sell 2,000 Oxycodone pills to an undercover officer - he admitted using some of his BB winnings to fund his drug-selling operation.. this didn't come as news to hamsterwatchers who pay attention, since he often talked on the feeds about being hooked on Oxycontin right up til the day he went into the habitat.. he faces up to 20 years in prison, but he'll likely have a somewhat shorter stay in the Big Habitat since he recently announced he's going to change his not guilty plea His Bible Buddy that year turned out to be his cohort in crime, as Matt McDonald was also arrested for being involved in Adam's Oxy ring.. this came on the heels of Matt's arrest for beating up his pregnant girlfriend, and then attempting to intimidate her into not pressing charges Meanwhile, BB3 Tonya (Paoni) Casper is in an Illinois jail on a $1,000,000 bond for drunk driving - last summer she caused a chain reaction crash involving five cars that left two dead Remember, the same team who cast these three for our BB viewing enjoyment also picked this year's cast In happier news, BB6/7 Janelle Pierzina and BB11 Natalie Martinez are now married women (not to each other), and BB2/7 Dr. Will Kirby and BB10 April Dowling are now parents (not with each other) On a personal note It's not been a good year around my habitat.. my adult daughter (yes, I am old) was hospitalized for 10 days before Christmas, racking up mammoth bills that we can't pay.. she's unable to work and SSI hasn't responded to her claim, so guess who's supporting her and her cat? My dad went in for emergency surgery in early April, which he came through okay, but one thing after another has had him bouncing back & forth between hospital and rehab/convalescent since then.. I've been looking after his home and cat, paying his bills, and trotting his laundry and so forth back & forth, losing a lot of work as a result..
