RATINGS WATCH
Thursday's eviction show won the hour with 7 million viewers, 4.2 rating and 8 share, ahead of 'Wipeout' rerun on ABC with 6.5/3.8/7, 'Glee' rerun on FOX with 3.8/2.5/5, and 'Community' and '30 Rock' reruns on NBC with 2.8/1.9/4 and 2.4/1.7/3 respectively. 'Big Brother 12' also won the 18-49 demographic.

The first 'evil' from Pandora's Box was the return of the staboteur, in the form of Ragan, to WREAK HAVOC.
Ragan will win $20k if he lasts two weeks undetected. He addressed the hamsters August 6 (for August 8 show), and his identity will be revealed to them on the finale.
I use Stabo/Staboteur/Stabotage because of the typo in an early official CBS BB tweet
Annie & Monet have been sprung from sequester so we won't have Revive-a-Hamster after all.
The first saboteur was Annie. She'd have won $50k if she lasted five weeks undetected.
Have-Nots have their own room again, cold showers again, slop again, plus popcorn, plus additional food items decided by viewer votes.
Nobody knows why Paolo isn't there.
The winner of BB12 will win $500k and 2nd place gets $50k. Hamsters earn $750 a week including pre-show hotel and jury sequester.
The habitat has 52 cameras and 95 microphones.
The recorded Big Brother in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman.
All feeds stay on one 'scene' when someone's in Diary.

Waiting for the veto comp, it looked like Brendon & Rachel were ready to morph into a single entity, rather than let one of them be evicted next weekKathy, Britney & Enzo played for veto along with Ragan, using his veto ticket, and Hayden hosted.. as announced, Jeff & Jordan were there for the comp but they didn't sleep over as both Julie & Allison had hinted they might - well, this is Big Brother after all, and we know to Expect the Expected regardless of whatever bait we're fed
Britney won the veto once again.. feeds came back to Rachel confronting Kathy for cheering when she beat Rachel, and Kathy responding that she cheered because she was happy she won the round.. they carried it through the habitat and brought most of the others in on it, and a good time was had by all (out here) - Flashback to approx 3:10pm to see it
Apparently Brendon & Rachel were the first eliminated in the bowling, Brendon had the lowest score, and he threw one of the wooden balls in anger.. all agreed later that put a damper on what should have been more of a fun day for Jorff's visitRachel asked Britney about using the veto and Britney talked sense into her for a long time, making all the right points that Rachel couldn't argue, and Rachel finally resigned herself to leaving, at least until Brendon starting to wind her up again.. he seems bent on getting himself evicted instead of her, and so they argued over that.. rewind, repeat

Rachel & Brendon kept up their routine, starting it over for ShowtimeAs she was changing her clothes, they started talking about her many nip slips this season when miraculously oops, she did it again.. you can see the full size on my adult page
I know most of you hit this page in the morning and some of you don't appreciate sights like this facing you over your coffee but I ask that you don't blame the messenger.. she did it - I just report it
Later Brendon took his pitch to Enzo & Lane, suggesting they keep Rachel instead of him since she'll be able to win Q&A comps, and they can join up with Hayden to take out Ragan, Britney & Matt.. both guys went along with it and kept straight faces, which was probably difficult
I'll never understand how or why we still have 9 of 13 when we're halfway through but tomorrow's the halfway point of Big Brother 12
before CBS gets hold of it and turns it into something else for the air show

Bubbles, anyone? I'm pretty sure both Allison & Julie hinted Jeff & Jordan would be sleeping over but I can't be bothered to look up the URLs to check. Thanks to Tropical Storm Rachel, we didn't even get to hear much about their visit so we'll be stuck with a cutesy, over-edited cross-promo segment on Wednesday's show.Normally you might ask why Brendon wasn't kicked out on the spot for throwing wooden balls at Jeff & Jordan in anger when BB4 Scott Weintraub was booted for throwing chairs at nobody, but there's no point in asking questions like that. You might as well ask why tonight's Showtime crawl said 'Jeff and Jordon will pay a visit to the BB house' after they already had. You could also ask why they made all those threats about how the staboteur will WREAK HAVOC but that would lead to asking why the hamsters are so worried about Stabo 2.0 - they know as well as we do that cricket noisemakers do not qualify as HAVOC. |

NOMINATEDAs fun as it is now, if Rachel goes, the other guys are going to gang up on him and it's not going to be pretty. He was a fat kid who took ballet and was teased & bullied, and I don't think any of us need to see a replay of that with adults. The highlight of this day was him wearing his CARPE DIEM shirt, even after he spectacularly failed to do so. He did however do his doo-dah later in the greenlight, or rather Rachel did it for him, and he promptly started snoring as soon as she finished him off. |
 
Won: $10HOLDS VETO Her explanation to Rachel for why she won't use her veto was spot on in every way, and the faultless logic of it actually calmed down Rachel to something approaching normal, so kudos for that as nobody else can pull that off. Kudos also for a third veto win out of five - she's on her way to approaching Janelle/James/Daniele stats. Throw on top of that her hilarious replays of any event and her chummy flirty stuff with Lane, and she's a definite keeper.. too bad the Brigade Boyz don't want to. |
 
Won: 42" 3D TVJordan saying 'meow meow' to him made his day and his hysterics over porn chat made mine. I don't know how he didn't bust out laughing when Brendon was trying to convince him & Lane to be Rachel's new best friend, but I think that laughter stored up and bubbled out later. |

Big ups for beating Rachel, for standing up to her, for walking away from her, and for remaining vertical. She got a little cocky about it all later and couldn't stop making little digs about Rachel, but she stopped in time before I had to neutralize her. Now that she's finally in the game, let's see if she stays or if she goes back to her horizontal position again. |

Getting Brendon & Rachel practically beg to join up with his buddies to boot him out is a stroke of genius of the type we haven't seen before and I'd take my hat off to him, if I had one on. |

STABOTEUR 2.0Won: Veto ticket The irony of the big Rachel/Kathy blowout coming along minutes after he said he wished everyone could get along and be a happy house was rich, and as much as his peacekeeping talents are wrecking our summer, he fortunately came out with some comedy later to balance things out. He doesn't have the feedster insight that Britney & Matt have, but he's a lot smarter than Rachel or the other CBS-onlies so he's catching on a lot faster to how it all really works. He's deflecting stabo suspicion extremely well - probably because he's so much smarter than the rest of them, and his name never comes up when they start guessing who it is. But guesses are pointless at this point: he hasn't done anything yet. |
    Won: $100, 1 week wig & catsuit She was barely there the first couple weeks but she came alive and participated in some juicy spats and was the subject of Andrew's scorching exit speech. She was half a showmance with Hayden and wore a silly wig & catsuit for a week, yet for all this, she still was barely there. She spent most of her time horizontal with Kathy or Hayden, and would only talk with others one-on-one. |
   He promised chaos and delivered on that, leaving them and us wondering what he was up to most of the time. He was a good early guess for the staboteur but he WREAKED more HAVOC just by being himself. He was early-to-bed & early-to-rise so I missed a lot of what he did, but he brought some Orthodox education, travel companion/fingerbang stories, and he made lots of threats to make good tv that didn't pan out until his final moments. |
   Won: $10,000 She promised princessy but failed to deliver, opting instead for poor-me tears, complaints about being fat, and a lot of moping around. But she wasn't all doom & gloom: she rode the slip 'n slide and made fun of her keep-warm sleeping layers, and she was Britney's #1 mean girl cohort. She tried out for ANTM and might have fared better there, as they wouldn't have flashed her boobies. |
   13-DAY STABOTEUR She turned her nomination into the House of Annie and wheedled everyone for days, to no avail. She promised catfights with Britney and Rachel but nothing came of it, leaving her in the 'Who?' category for future BB trivia, even including her stabotage. She's lucky she went early: she might have cracked bad and the chops would get really brutal. |
