Dustin in Blunderland
It's dingo's quickie recap day.. ready?
Dustin wins $5,000 and a trip to Barbados in the veto comp, after making sure how many prizes and/or questions are left to ensure he won't win, apparently regretting his big announcement last night that if he wins the veto, he'll use it.. he doesn't know where Barbados is
Kail's parannoying (© BB5 Diane) badly, no matter how many reassurances she gets from Dustin that she's a pond (© BB5 Cowboy).. she's alternately overjoyed that she will stay on the block (believing that Jen will come off and Zach will go up & out) and needling Dustin to backdoor Dick instead
She tells Dustin "Some people never get a trip like that until they retire"
Nobody seems to notice or care that Nick learned to fly, because Dick goes on another hateful rant at Jen for missing the final question.. it sounds like maybe he's upset because now he can't override the whole Waffle Alliance plan to backdoor Zach so he can be rid of Kail instead
Then he rants at Dustin whose announcement upset him last night in a big way (and all for nothing now).. Dick says he'd have put up his plasma tv and $5,000 of his own money to win that veto
Amber's crying because Dustin threw the comp for cash & prizes after telling all of them not to do that (and maybe because she didn't get to host the comp and/or because she won't be going to Barbados with Dustin).. Zach continues to play chess by himself, ignored by all.. Eric continues to spread the most dirt about almost everyone while appearing to stay squeaky clean himself
Dick approaches Nick & Daniele when he's done ranting at everyone else.. she had told him to shut up earlier as he was upsetting Jameka (who won the veto comp by the way).. she was loud about saying she'd use it to save whoever picked her (Jen), so naturally - and conveniently - she did win.. congratulations do not abound
I'm pretty much back where I started the season, disliking them all equally - except Jessica.. she's never involved in the trashing or hissy fits, and in fact tries to lighten the mood when they spill all over onto everyone.. we often hear her being fun in the background when various one-on-one whiney rehashes are on all four feeds, but they won't show her to us - even though a whole lot of us would prefer the original, authentic Big Brother type of game to this cesspool of hate
It's looking like both Dick and Eric would like to shmooze Jessica all the way to the final two.. if either does, he might be in for a $450,000 surprise
And here's proof
Jessica & Eric open their bar and it looks like fun's on the horizon, and on the feeds!
Unfortunately they don't get many beers, and proceed to spill half of them
It's another drinking game, that soon turns into a macho-off between Nick & Zach <yawn>
Jessica: You went to college and you don't know how to play this game?
Jessica & Eric move on to more constructive tasks: hide 'n not-seek, dancing, paying a random visit to Zach, and hiding the chess pieces
Dustin rejoins the common folks for awhile with a rousing game of Hamster Trivia, complete with a few new surprises such as Carol losing a boobie upon entering the house.. it's a good time and the laughter is sorely needed
Code red
The Waffle Alliance rides again, and waffles again
Jameka confirms she'll use her veto to remove Jen, and they rehash the last week's worth of meetings and toss out all prior decisions, like they do
Zach's all but a goner until somebody suggests Nick again.. he was on their hit parade once or twice before and when his name comes up again, Dick's good to go with it (since Nick's been messing with his little girl's game, and therefore Dick's too)
That pretty much decides it, but they have to hash it out for another hour or so because that's what they do.. somebody suggests Dustin use that stray vote of Eric's that they think was Nick's as a reason for nomination.. oops
Heaven forbid these eejits get a clue and tell Nick he's going up since he's repeatedly said he doesn't care about the game or the money - buy the lump his monkey and send him packing
Suddenly it's a comedy show again, what with visions of Nick hearing about the vote he didn't cast at the veto meeting and Eric trying to weasel out of that one, while Dustin sits between Daniele & Amber, alternately soothing each when they cry (suddenly Amber talks like she's closer to Nick than anyone in the world), and all of them making plans in case Nick turns into a homicidal maniac for the rest of the week
They talk about traveling in two's around the habitat and suddenly it's Big Brother 8: The Buddy System.. Dustin goes so far as to suggest plans for CODE RED (I kid you not)
Our heroine Jessica's mostly quiet but makes a few good points, one of them evoking a back-handed compliment from Dustin (who obviously hasn't been paying attention to her either).. she suggests that Amber & Daniele may be emotional wrecks for the next HOH comp so they'll all have to take up the slack to ensure a win
Dustin: Jessica, you're blowing me away tonight!
If all goes per usual, Zach will probably be the next head of household.. provided they don't flip back again, of course
Fun with RealPlayer
I get a lot of these happy accidents in the course of most days, and I junk most of them.. I didn't enjoy the post-comp scene so I kept these when they showed up then, to amuse myself
I've also got some excess space on this page since I won't post the video of Jessica learning Hebrew - hysterical though it is - since the feedmasters kept the cameras on Jameka as she changed, nor the lengthy segment where another camera stayed zoomed in on Jen's ass as she went about her business for 15 minutes or so.. and I won't post Dick & Daniele's personal (and hopefully healing) late night convo nor Amber's late night cry to Dustin
So here's what's left.. I kinda like 'em

PLEASE TURN UP THE VOLUME ON THE FEEDS (but not the blues music). Grudging ups for Thursday's show, simply because they did not drag Dick & Daniele through the mud as feared, so kudos for that and for snipping their wrenching convo down to boyfriend stuff. I'll even overlook that they kept building the Nick & Daniele lovestory with a clip disguised as flirting, that was really her in a heap after her blowout with Dick, while Nick did not comfort her. I'll also overlook the usual bogus melodrama ('Dick took revenge' etc) and implying that Mike's been in there and playing all along. I guess the kids got yelled at or pep-talked since they gave supercharged greets to Julie, and it was fun to see both Dick & Mike talk her to death. Very odd hearing her call Jen 'a vain, robotic bitch' on the same show as her backstory, but I'm glad they finally introduced Jameka to the tv audience and showed Jessica as having something upstairs. Another vote where Eric didn't state his, yet Julie made a point of 'making it official' even after there were 5 votes for Mike to walk, and another odd choice of words for the new AP poll. I'll even overlook Julie telling Mike that 'people on the internet' are saying Mike out-dumb'd Marcellas.. those were Dick's words cuz it was personal for him.
|
With this many tears and hysterics two weeks running when she's safe, what's going to happen when she's nominated?
|
She has to stick at least as long as Dick since she's the only one who can shut him up once he gets going.
|
Apparently nobody informed the others that Dick is supposed to get his way for everything, all the time. No exceptions.
|
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD In well under 24 hours he outed his alliance and their plans to their enemy, made a promise that could be out of his hands, made a big speech about how everyone should try to win the veto and then threw the veto himself in favor of a place he never heard of and $5k. He provided some fun for trivia but then called CODE RED in reference to putting Wildman Nick The Killer on the block.
|
AMERICA'S PLAYER 5 of 9: $10k so far. Some days he seems like a nut, and some days he doesn't. Everyone's worried about Nick ripping their heads off, but he's the one who has something to worry about - especially if Dustin mentions Kail's other vote at the veto meeting like he said he might.
|
HOLDS VETO How convenient is it that the one person who made a big controversial speech about what they'd do if they won the veto is the person who won it?
|
NOMINATED My guarantee that she'll stick around another week is now all but official.
|
A ray of light in a slop bucket of pondscum.
|
NOMINATED We only need a triple eviction now to dump these bottom three drips.
|
See Kail. The Waffle Alliance waffled again and he might be the new loser. We'll see soon enough, along with the rest of them fearing for their lives. Wildman Nick the Maniac Killer is almost on the loose - code red!
|
See Kail, with a P.S. that most or all of his extra-creepy accusations haven't been witnessed out here. I'd say all signs point to Eric for exaggerating & spreading that stuff since that's his specialty, but I have no proof of that either.
|
He was on Big Brother 8. Barely. His game was like Drew's but without Diane, and without winning anything.
|
His & Dustin's part in the 'twist' felt legit and disturbing to eavesdrop on. Joe was chatty and catty, he told stories and entertained, and will be remembered for 'Amber from Vegas' and gonorrhea.
|
She & Jessica didn't fulfill the 'twist' as advertised so off she goes. She wasn't prepared for this, she moped a lot and was barely around, but she gave a good show when she had it out with all the cameras watching her.

This site isn't necessarily thorough: it's what I catch and/or what interests me. It also isn't necessarily about who should win, who will win, who I'd be friends with or who is cute. It's about watching hamsters: which ones are doing what and why, which are fun and which are dull. If they aren't entertaining, get rid of 'em! Thanks for encouraging my behavior.
