April 19, 2008 - Day 72 (or 73)
>> Ryan is Head of Household - Sharon & Sheila are nominated - Ryan holds veto <<
Adam & Ryan made up another batch of their patented pasta salad during a lockdown, with much fanfare
Sheila & Sharon watched as the guys made a big show and a good time out of it.. this came after the guys made pancakes for breakfast
Sheila complained that the guys always have something to do.. they told her she's welcome to join in, although it might not be the kind of party she's used to.. Adam & Ryan are pretty much having a continual party - Sheila & Sharon, not so much - that seems to be their choice
Ryan: It's not a New York in the 80s party
Adam [to Sharon, outside]: We came to hear some more Jacob stories
The guys followed that up by doing "research" for tomorrow's slip 'n slide - they said if they can't find or get some tape, they'd fuse the garbage bags together with a lighter.. then they joined the girls for tanning, and asked if they'd give the slip 'n slide a try
Sheila: Sure, why not?
Sharon: Hell no, I ain't hurting myself on that shit
It wasn't as frenzied or prolonged as Danielle's ding dong on BB7, but it was close
Sharon rang and knocked, left and came back several times, and hung out on the balcony.. I don't know if Ryan was in the shower the whole time or not.. feedmasters showed us Sharon ding donging on the spyscreen, which was a nice touch
Ryan finally let her in "to listen to his CD", but she launched her campaign spiel as expected.. he told her to relax, and that Adam was going to vote out Sheila
Later Ryan told Adam that he hadn't told her the plan - hmmm.. they reached another milestone of every season when they discovered the trap door - Sheila told them to leave it alone.. Ryan's been sucking on something that looks like the red clown nose from a few days ago, sucking & slurping it like a pacifier.. the guys then moved on to the next item in their preplanned day: burger grilling
Sorry, BBQ Smackdown fans: it was another uneventful grilling.. they called the girls to eat and everyone enjoyed the burgers and Fiesta salad, especially Ryan & Adam.. afterwards the guys cleaned up most of the residue.. Adam got Sharon talking about Jacob's family reunion and poked at both Sharon & Sheila a bit.. Sheila finished the cleaning up while Sharon went to bed
Sharon: You guys are so fascinated by Jacob's life, I think that's funny
Sharon [to Sheila]: He cares more about Jacob's life than he asks about my own damn life
Sheila: I know, he cares more about Georg's life than mine.. he could care less about my life
Adam: Well, I'd ask you about your life, Sheila, but you can't tell me anything about yours: 'I'll tell you later, I can't tell you that, nope, nope, nope, nope'
Sheila: Well, because there are a lot of people that I can't talk about, sorry.. sorry I don't have a list like you, you got a million frikkin friends
Adam: I don't have a list.. I just say until they tell me to stop
Sheila: Yea well, I don't like to be in that situation.. I try not to get myself there
Sharon: Yep, it was a big Heald reunion, tons of fun
Something from nothing
Three of them went down for after-dinner naps.. Sheila puttered around, painting something with nail polish, and laying around, alternately moping and scowling
In a way, this final four's comatose ways are kind of nice for feedsters: you can skip an hour or two, or even a day or two, and be confident that you won't be missing anything
Adam & Ryan woke up and got "jacked on Joe" - always a good idea - while Sheila & Sharon started another recap of the entire season.. this time, Sheila was either shocked by Sharon's revelations, or pretended to be.. I don't know if the stuff they were slinging was true or not, nor do I care
Big Brother: Ryan, please go to the Diary room
Adam: They're gonna try and convince you now dog, hold strong in there, all right?
Ryan: I heard ya
Sheila: Ohhh my God! I'm so naive!
Sharon: I got far in this game because of the things I did in this game
Sheila: Me too!
Naturally, Sharon & Sheila ended up in a loop of trashing Natalie, and glorifying Joshuah & James.. Sheila talked like she has no clue how the final days and finale work, while Sharon seems to have the finale and the wrap party mixed up.. both remain convinced they'll do "The Early Show" in New York, plus "Housecalls", and they talked again about what a fascinating, successful season this must be
All this while Adam & Ryan pumped up and played golf.. later they laughed about how obsessed the girls still are over what they can't control

Daily ratings - Zzzzzz edition
Ratings are still based solely on entertainment value
Wednesday's show had a logical, linear storyline for a change - for those just watching CBS anyway. For the rest of us, it was highly over-simplified and way too easy if you ask me. Natalie wasn't the only one double-dealing in there but she came across looking like scum, while Sheila was portrayed as a little bitter & vindictive but as if she had every right to be. Once again, none of Sheila's vicious, vile trashtalk hit the airwaves for some peculiar reason.. well, we know what the reason is but we can't fight it. If there had been any doubt as to the voting, Julie's questions gave more anti-Natalie ammo to seal her fate, and it was just too sad to see the one hamster who was almost always cheerful in there have to go out in tears because of the cowards who remained inside, but that's how it goes. I'm all for the trick BEEBIES question, as it smacked of what Big Brother should be about all the time: messing with their pointy little heads. I can't say it enough: I'd rather have three months of that stuff than three months of relatively nice, normal people turn into flesh-eating monsters. By the way, dear producers, don't think I missed you calling the BEEBIES cage a 'habitat' nor Julie saying everyone was 'neutral'.. I'm on to you guys.
Paired with Sheila
His enthusiasm over pasta salad, nap scheduling, and preparations for slip 'n slide aren't really ups-worthy, but it's the best we've got to work with.
Won: $10,000, movie premiere,
Beverly Hills shopping spree
Jen's boyfriend / Paired with Allison
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD - HOLDS VETO
I'm not sure which of these two guys is the straight man and which is the comedian: they seem to flip-flop a lot, and that's fine. It works well for them.. especially compared to our other option.
Won: Movie premiere, Beverly Hills shopping spree
Won & wasted: One slop pass
Paired with Jacob (her ex) Joshuah
If she could pat herself on the back any more, she'd need orthopedic help. She talked up Joshuah like he was the best thing since BEEBIES: wait til she gets the real story there, hears him trashing her and her blue thing, and especially his Diary gloating about getting her to believe that pawning herself was a noble deed rather than the act of a manipulated chump.
Paired with Adam
I'm with Adam here: I hope Diary doesn't work on the guys to change their minds, as I'm anxiously counting the days til I don't ever have to hear her whining, making excuses, playing the helpless victim, or any of her other three repetitive loops ever again.
Paired with Matt
Party girl deluxe who did things no hamster ever has or probably ever will again. She stripped, suds'd, slurped and grinded her way into many feedsters' hearts (and a few other places), all the while being cheery, fun, and unbelievably candid. Later she toned it down and talked & preached too much, but she's easily the Star of the Season and Most Photogenic. She'll also be remembered for kooky kneesocks, nail polish paintings, and homemade dairy products.
Revived a minute after his first eviction
Paired with Chelsia
Offline scandals kept popping up but CBS kept hyping him - damage control maybe. He pushed Chelsia til she did what she promised Daddy she wouldn't, but most of that was blocked. He cried when nobody liked him, he slept a lot, got nekkid a lot, masturbated a lot, and topped Cowboy's hat trick with his tuck. Like another James before him, he played all sides too soon and too eagerly, and it came back to bite him. Click for his adult material.
Paired with Neil Sharon
He put on costumes and breakfast shows, and did hot tub monologues, praying & sobbing aloud. He exploded viciously on Amanda & Allison, and about Sheila & Natalie (usually focused on genitalia), but he left the guys alone except James, who he c-blocked & puppy-dogged. He had lots of schemes to save himself but used them up early, and his huge drama potential fell short when we needed it most. He had the only Diary restraining order I know of: 5 feet away from Allison.
Won: $21,000 Vegas trip
Paired with James
Sometimes a spitfire who gave us good fights & fireworks but she laid around with James way too much, which was her undoing and ours. She'll be remembered for feedmasters' attempts to protect her, strip/lap dance/makeout night, having sex, raunchy stories, a colorful vocabulary, getting smashed, smashing everyone's Easter eggs, and for going out with the nasty speeches they all threaten but rarely follow through with.
Paired with Natalie
America's Playa came on strong, prepared to showmance his way through all the girls and into the money. That didn't work out but he was fun to have around and he usually kept things light amid the chaos. He brought BJs to the feeds and made Bibles fun in there. Despite the fact that he's a pig, he has some good qualities too and he kinda grows on you.
Paired with Ryan
She called it manipulation - I call it emotional blackmail with a lot of 'poor me' thrown in. One of the most delusional hamsters ever (and that's saying something), she's the poster girl for Can Dish It Out But Can't Take It. She did give us some confrontation doozies and fireworks deluxe but trust her, like one million percent, she does not care.
Revive-a-Hamster winner & loser
Paired with Amanda
He started out looking like he was on board with Matt's showmance plan and CBS picked up that angle, but then we got to know a bright, charismatic, and goofy guy who had everything going for him in there except his partner. His diplomacy was remarkable and he might have gone the distance, but he went out as another casualty of 'Til Death Do You Part'.
Paired with Alex
She began with hysterics & drama and was at the center of the biggest BB fight ever, but she went out with more of a whimper than a bang. Her moods dropped as fast as her blood sugar but to her credit, she rebounded just as fast. She & Allison had dual 911 events, but Amanda's collapse brought unexpected (and uniformed) guests into the habitat and onto the air.
Ryan's girlfriend / Paired with Parker
She & Ryan could have gone far if she hadn't opened her mouth in the first days. She made loads of enemies in a short time and took Parker down with her. She'll be remembered for super-quickie sex in the bathroom and a rash on her backside.. hmm, coincidence?
Paired with Jen
He was good watching at first til he gave up and went on strike. He bounced back a bit at the end but his doom came early when partner Jen couldn't keep her trap shut about her & Ryan. She had to go, and he was just the innocent bystander casualty. 'I'm sick of people's dumbass assinine ass comments' might be Line of the Season.
Paired with Joshuah
He left suddenly and mysteriously but wrote on his MySpace that he didn't leave for health reasons, and that he won't be back. He seems like a good guy and I wish him well.. he's probably lucky he got out when he did, unscathed.
Paired with Sharon (his ex)
Gone before the feeds kicked in: he didn't even make an appearance. All that potential for rehashing their breakup and/or a jealous rage up in smoke. To make it worse, he & Sharon didn't even get an exit interview in Julie's boudoir - how rude!

DICK & JANELLE CHAT
Live video chat on April 24 at 6pm PT - only on SuperPass
They've been locked inside since Saturday afternoon.
They'll tape veto meeting & eviction on Monday with Julie, which will air on Tuesday and 'pretend' to be live.
According to Adam after Diary, HOH comp parts 1 & 2 will be Monday & Tuesday, with part 3 live on Wednesday. We could have a feeds blackout sometime in there.
My best guess:
Sunday, April 20 at 8pm: movie comp, nominations, assorted dramas & filler
Tuesday, April 22 at 9pm: final veto comp, eviction, and the start of the Final 3 HOH comp - probably endurance
Wednesday, April 23 at 8pm: HOH comp Part 2 (live? taped earlier in the day?), and Part 3 Q&A live, with final eviction
Sunday, April 27 at 8pm: Finale will include jury questioning, evictees & jury check-ins, and voting for & announcing the winner
Wednesday's eviction show remained in fourth place with a 4.1 rating and 7 share, behind Democrat political debates on ABC with 7.3/12, 'Deal or No Deal' on NBC with 6.0/10, and 'Til Death' (3.9/7) and 'Back to You' (4.5/7) on Fox.
There are just four shows left
As HOH of the Final 4, Ryan can also participate in the following HOH comp.
That Final 3 HOH comp is in three parts. The first is an intense endurance. The two who don't win that compete in Part 2. The winners of Part 1 and Part 2 then compete in Part 3 for the HOH title. Whoever wins it just evicts someone (no noms or votes), therefore choosing who they'll go up against for the jury vote to decide the winner.
First place earns $500k, second gets $50k. The others earn $750 a week, including jury sequester weeks for those that go there
BB10 premieres Sunday, July 13

This site isn't necessarily thorough: it's what I catch and/or what interests me. It also isn't necessarily about who should win, who will win, who I'd be friends with or who is cute. It's about watching hamsters: which ones are doing what and why, which are fun and which are dull. If they aren't entertaining, get rid of 'em! Thanks for encouraging my behavior.
